red velvet sword!!! it’s foam, duct tape, paint, and polymer clay, and it was really fun to make! I’m not going to do a whole cosplay because like… even the wig alone would be soooo complicated… but the sword is a fun thing to have!
my wig hasn’t arrived yet but here’s the vanitas outfit! im actually planning to wear it to Katsucon in 2 weeks (saturday)!!!

my hand-painted + embroidered harveston-style overalls (pocket) :3 i’m doing a more casual clothes-style cosplay for Epel but I still wanted to put some character into the outfit!
not for anything specific but here’s an ominous hilichurl mask I made with some spare foam!
a camp half-blood bead necklace for a cosplay! I’m doing Kayla since I already have the hair for her haha
it was actually pretty difficult to figure out what beads she’d have, but eventually I decided that she probably came to camp during the mass recruitment of campers Grover mentioned in the titan’s curse, since she was in the battle of Manhattan and probably not a newbie at the time, but since TTC was in the winter her first camp bead would be the battle of the labyrinth…
the designs for the HoO and ToA beads are made by me but are inspired by others I’ve seen - CHB and SPQR for the unity of the two camps and the sun for Apollo - and there’s only one bead for each series since they only span one year.

some friendship bracelets i made last-minute as an accessory for my epel cosplay for otakon!
ace + deuce:
- scarlet/blue/red/navy
- thick stripes
-it took them at least three tries to make (previous attempts ended up in flames)
- there was definitely magic cheating involved
sebek:
- green/lime/pink
- simple braid
- the pink is for the roses of briar valley
- he thinks braids are more elegant/sophisticated than knotted bracelets
jack:
- yellow/brown/cream
- “chinese staircase” pattern
- it’s a more common bracelet style in the shaftlands + sunset savannah
- epel likes it cause it’s savanaclaw colors
vil + rook:
- purple/lavender/gold/black
- thin stripes
- vil saw the first-years making bracelets and wanted to make one for epel too
- rook made the actual bracelet since skill in tying ropes apparently translates to bracelet-making somehow?
yuu + grim (+ ortho):
- white/blue/black
- chevrons
- grim didn’t really do much but insisted it was from him too since yuu is his henchman
- ortho doesn’t have the most dexterous fingers (robot) so he mostly helped keep people on their patterns and measured thread

aaand otakon day 1: END! I’m not staying too late today because I am tomorrow (for the TWST photoshoot) and I don’t want to get tired early… I had a lot of fun as what I like to call “Chuuya and the Terrible, Horrible, No-Good, Very Bad Week”, the Bungou shoot was super fun and I got a lot of stuff from the dealer’s floor/artist’s alley!!
