Big Announcement

So, today is not only the one month anniversary of this blog, but also the start of my birth month. That said, it only felt right to do something special. So, as a little reverse gift...

I am proud to announce the first ever event on my blog! The Nova Birthday Bash!

Requests will be back open for the next three days! Until the end of April 3rd, send in any birthday related request your heart desires! Dream whatever birthday scenario you wish and it shall become reality! This event is for a very limited time so make your requests whatever suits your fancy and get them in fast! All fandoms on this blog are eligible!

During the request period, requests will ONLY be opened for this event, after April 3rd they will be closed once again. I will get to writing them as fast as I can to release them all on the date of my actual birthday, the 22nd.

For those regular requests I still have backlogged, I will hopefully finish those soon but they're gonna get pushed back a bit, especially since I still need to finish the CF story for one of them. Thank you for your patience on those.

Today's the day!

Alright bitches, if you've been around here for longer than a day you know today finally breaks my almost month long hiatus and all the birthday bash HCs are finally releasing!

At 10 a.m MST, roughly an hour from now, the HCs will start posting at 30 minute intervals until all of them are out, assuming the schedule feature works as intended. I barely managed to get all these things done in time, I was up writing at 11:40 p.m last night lmao.

So like the hedonistic attention whore that I am, happy birthday to me!

noel accidentally forgetting her s/os birthday and trying to do something last second

The poor, sad sap.

-A strange feeling had been weighing on Noel's mind for a while now. The feeling you get when you're forgetting something important but can't figure out what it is.

-She'd been trying to find something to help her relieve this feeling, and it came in the form of official documents.

-She'd been doing paperwork and came across personal info for a few NOL officers, including you. Taking a peek at your birthday, it appeared to be coming up this Friday.

-Oh no...

-It was Wednesday...

-Noel feels like having a panic attack on the spot upon the realization that she'd completely forgotten her own S/O's birthday up until now. It's...a while until she can breathe normally again.

-Her first instinct is to immediately go to Tsubaki and Makoto for help, there was no way she could do this on her own. Hopefully they can give some helpful advice.

-Makoto's first instinct upon learning that your birthday is nearly here is to go balls to the wall with a huge ass birthday party. Tsubaki has to bring her back down to Earth since there's not nearly enough time for that and everyone on base is too busy.

-The three spend a while bouncing ideas back and forth. Should she cook for you? Absolutely not unless she wants to murder you, but the others don't tell her that, just saying to put a pin on it for now.

-A ring? No, this is your birthday, not a marriage proposal. Some other nice piece of jewelry? Potentially. Fancy recreational place like a fair or concert that might be happening? Never can go wrong with that.

-Internally, the idea of sharing one of the poems she's written about you comes up, only to be quickly shot down. If you ever read one of her poems with knowledge she wrote it about you and for you, she would overheat of embarrassment.

-Eventually it's decided to be a fancy dinner at a place per Tsubaki's suggestion along with a special gift of a solidly nice necklace with your birthstone.

-Your jaw damn near drops once you show up to the place and you immediately feel guilty for indirectly making Noel feel like she had to go all out like this for your birthday. However she's surprisingly insistent that it's really no problem. How she managed to pull it off you don't know but if she's telling you not to worry in front of a such a nice place you're definitely not complaining.

-It's a good middle ground of being able to eat some nice food Noel provides you with while not instantaneously and haphazardly throwing you onto death's doorstep and praying to whatever God of your choosing that it doesn't answer. The impeccable atmosphere of a balcony view over the city of Naobi is also a very nice bonus.

-After indulging yourself in such fine dining that would give you a heart attack on the spot if Noel had let you see the bill, she takes you over to a park nearby, taking in the fresh, crisp night air on a relaxing stroll. No one there, just you and the lady you felt so unbelievably lucky to call yours.

-And just when you felt you couldn't possibly by more lucky, Noel seemingly out of nowhere pulls out a gorgeous, custom made necklace featuring your birthstone front and center.

-You would've never guessed she'd put such a thing together in merely two days, even if she had some help, and you probably don't ever find out. You let her put the necklace around your neck before being unable to help yourself but bring her into a passionate kiss of pure joy, nearly taking the poor thing's breath away.

-Noel's caught completely off guard, embarrassed, and blushing like mad, but the smile on her face outshines any star you could look up and point to right now.

Persona 5: How would Sophia react if she found out her S/O gave her a birthday present on the anniversary of when Ichinose created her?

You know I never really think about Sophia in a romantic context. To me at least, she's the adorable, innocent daughter that must be protected at all costs. I'll write this so the nature of S/O's relationship can be up to interpretation just in case.

-Ever since the disappearance of the metaverse (again), Sophia hasn't been able to take physical form again, being stuck as data in someone's phone, whether it's yours, Ichinose's or Joker's.

-Futaba had since made upgrades to her program that allows her to switch between phones at will without needing the phones to be in close proximity at least. However a problem had recently come to light.

-Her birthday, or the closest thing she had to one was coming up quickly, according to her logs that Futaba had found. You wanted to get her... something, but that proved to be rather difficult since she doesn't have any way to take a physical form anymore.

-Some brainstorming with the help of Futaba was required. Thankfully she was up to the idea just as much as you. Sophia deserved something special after everything she'd gone through.

-Futaba has to pretty much work overtime, especially with being back in school to get it done, but against all odds she gets it done for the big day. And not a moment too soon.

-You text Ichinose's phone where she currently is and tell her to send Sophia over. The first thing she's met with once she loads into your phone is a new complete space which hadn't been there before.

-When she ended up on Joker's phone, she described the space as comfy, albeit rather small. Now it was practically a mansion. Futaba had made a program that essentially simulated the feel of a larger living space on your phone based off the data she provided on the interior of Joker's phone. With plenty of ideas from you on the design, of course.

-Her eyes practically light up like stars as she takes in the completely new digital landscape, completely in awe at the sheer scale and detail of it. There's so much to explore she never could've imagined possible on just a phone.

-She has no idea what this is for, you have to explain that it's a birthday/anniversary of creation gift for her. Sophia had of course heard of receiving gifts on birthdays but she wasn't "born" like everyone else, so she hadn't expected to ever get something. Especially something with so much effort put in.

-She doesn't really feel that it's needed, but either way she can't express how thankful she really is that you cared about her enough to go this far to do something nice for her.

Kaguya, Yuzuriha, and Wagner celebrating their s/o's birthday and finding out their s/o is actually younger then them? (Maybe by a few months or something?)

-Kaguya is probably going to do something extremely out of pocket and unexpected just to see your surprised and/or flustered reaction. Depends on her current mood.

-In the end she decides to get you a pretty nice ring, she's easily able to afford it. It's a good gift and a good prank since it can easily be taken as a marriage proposal before she clears the air.

-The look on your face is priceless when you think she's asking you to marry her, even if you're a guy and the roles are typically reversed. The laugh that escapes her reminds you that this is Kaguya, of course she'd do something like this.

-Soon she does realize that you're younger than her, even if by less than a year if that. Respect your elders is something you should be expecting to hear a lot now, albeit most of the time it's a joke.

-After getting you worked up with the ring, Kaguya will at least make it up to you by taking you out to eat wherever you want. She's a prankster, but she's by no means cruel, especially to her S/O.

-Anything you might see that you want, she'll also get you. She overall has zero qualms about spoiling you in general.

-Yuzuriha is a very...spontaneous gal. She probably forgets it's your birthday until the day of. No matter though, lack of forethought never stopped her before and it certainly won't now.

-She's an early riser by habit as a byproduct of her duty as the shrine maiden so she's awake a decent amount of time before you, she'll go out and buy something for breakfast she knows you like and bring it to you still in bed.

-The whole time she's trying to act like she didn't completely forget your birthday was today, which you may or may not be able to figure out depending on how long you've known her.

-Yuzu would've planned a party for sure but there's obviously no time for that now. So she'll take the day off and head out into town with you to do whatever you want. Should she? Probably not, but one day won't hurt, at least if you ask her.

-Even if you're the more introverted type, there's just something about her energy that's really infectious, you'll actually be looking forward to going out with her. It's a big reason why you fell for her to begin with.

-Eventually the two of you find yourselves at an arcade where you can register to earn points on games you play and earn prizes. when you're putting in your date of birth that's when she realizes you two are pretty close together, you're just a about half a year after her.

-She'd always assumed your age gap was at least a year or two. Probably just part of her nature due to her teasing you about being your big sis.

-It's not something she brings up in the moment though, her first priority is to kill it at the games and get you some good prizes.

-Wagner had known pretty well your birthday was coming up ahead of time by looking at the records the Licht Kreis had on you, regardless whether or not you were one of it's members. They needed to keep all tabs possible on In-Birth activity.

-To be honest, she was expecting you to be a bit older, but that doesn't matter, there were more pressing things to do.

-Your first birthday since entering a relationship thankfully landed on a Sunday so there was no school to worry about. She's at your house first thing in the morning with a gift expertly and beautifully wrapped. You feel bad about undoing it a little, but that quickly goes away once you realize inside it was something you'd been eyeballing out loud to her, something pretty expensive at that.

-Her chest puffs in pride at being able to get you something no one else could and seeing your eyes light up at your reaction. She tries not to let it show, but she's pretty bad at hiding her emotions.

-She's got the most extravagant thing you can thing of, she's out to impress. You're getting treated to the most expensive, high class meal of your life courtesy of funding from both the Licht Kreis and her family.

-No matter how fancy you dress, it doesn't feel like it's enough. Especially when you figure out she's rented a private dance floor for you two to dance the night away.

-She's more than willing to teach you if you don't already know, particularly waltz. She's on guard constantly to watch out in case you screw up and step on her feet so she can dodge them out of the way, and you learn pretty fast under her expert tutelage.

-Overall, it's a really unique experience, having such a high class woman spoil you on your special day. It's definitely one you wanna have again, it's heartwarming to know someone out there is willing to go through so much effort just to make you happy.

Izanami's so trying to celebrate her birthday and teach her about the joys of doing it.

Man, phantomfield was right, writing for villains in any romantic context is not easy. I mean I already knew that but it gets so much harder with requests like these. At least she's hot.

-Technically Izanami was never born, being essentially a living Drive. The closest thing she has to a "birthday" is when she inhabited her physical body and manifested into the world.

-She had no idea why you seemed to take such interest in it, but did give you this date of April 22, as it was really the only answer she had. (the same day this comes out because it's my birthday, too. Living personification of death being born on Earth Day, how ironic.)

-Being her S/O, you only felt it appropriate to do something nice for her, however she may have felt about it, or more accurately lack of feelings on it.

-You set your alarm to wake up much earlier than normal so you can be up before Izanami, taking it upon yourself to make a nice breakfast for her. Normally there are people to do it for her, but you give them a little white lie and say you were taking over today per the Imperator's orders. No, it may not have been an order straight from her but she'd certainly never turn down a favor from you.

-The knock on your door and appetizing smell wake her from her slumber, telling you to come in before you present her with a breakfast in bed for her special day.

-She really doesn't understand why the day of her physical materialization was so important to you.it was a pointless celebration in her eyes, but if you're willing to pamper her like this she certainly won't complain, regardless of her understanding.

-You take the day to spoil her rotten in an attempt to teach her that birthdays are an important celebration to be had. You're much more stern with her than normal and tell her to not do a second of work, insisting that you do anything for her that she needs to ensure she's comfortable.

-You're really not sure what kind of gift you can possibly give her. She doesn't really have many, if any interests you know of and anything she wants she can just get herself. She is the Imperator Librarius, after all.

-You simply opt for acts of service. Any single complaint Izanami might have, you are quick to fix it and treat her to the best you can.

-She still may think celebrating a birthday is a waste of time, but if it means she can look forward to being spoiled by you on this day, maybe she can indulge in it, at least a little.

Request (P3): For their birthdays, Minako and Mitsuru's S/O's give them a ring that matches their favorite colors.

Best girl bullshit, go.

-Even before you started dating Minako, it's not hard to figure out what her favorite color is. Pink manages to sneak into every single one of her outfits and just about everything she owns.

-You're pressed for ideas for whatever reason so you decide a ring with a nice pink gemstone is the best way to go here. A nice rose quartz or pink amethyst is...affordable enough.

-One the day of, you take her out to eat, wherever she wants, as long as the price is within reason. You're still a high school student.

-In general you two have a nice hangout date at the Paulownia mall, doing whatever catches your or her eye. When the day has blazed by and the sun sets, signaling it's time to head home.

-You manage to remember at the last minute that you'd gotten her something, making you call out to stop her before she heads to her dorm, only for her to turn around and see the ring.

-Minako gasps audibly, clearly not expecting something so intricate and beautiful, however cheesy it may be.

-Next thing you know she's got you in a hug threatening to expel all the air from your lungs saying thank you over and over again as if you're about to disappear if she lets go.

-She immediately puts the ring on and silently vows to herself to never take it off like it's some kind of wedding ring. Probably treats it like one too until you get her one for real someday.

-Mitsuru is...a lot harder to impress on a date at first glance. Having been born into wealth as massive as she has tends to give off that kind of vibe.

-Of course you know better than that, being her S/O but the pressure isn't entirely gone, unfortunately. It's pretty easy to get into your own head when it comes to someone like Mitsuru.

-You do come up with something though. You find a nice ring in a window display while walking home one day embedded with a very beautiful shade of red that immediately brings Mitsuru to mind. Perfect.

-You manage somehow to save up enough money to get the ring and all that's left is...just about everything else. Fantastic.

-You eventually decide on something she's never really had before, something only you can give. You admit you can never impress her externally with something fancy, so the best option is something more intimate, which she pretty much never got growing up.

-After school it's cuddling up in a blanket with an old classic movie she'd probably never heard of before. A very cozy atmosphere she'd pretty much never experienced before meeting you.

-Of course, to top it all off, your present her with the ring afterward. It's nowhere near as extravagant or photogenic as something she could just buy herself, but the fact that it comes from you makes it extra special.

She's much more reserved than Minako in expressing her thanks, but she is by no means any less grateful, the smile she can't seem to wipe off her face and the way she pressed her body further into you is clear proof of that.

Headcanons/one-shots of Bullet and Kokonoe celebrating their S/o birthday.

You KNOW these two never got proper, normal birthdays. Big yikes.

-Bullet...never had a traditional birthday that most people would want to have. Her mercenary group didn't really do that.

-She did however want to do something for yours when it eventually rolled around the first time since you started dating. However figuring out how to do this from nothing was easier said than done, especially someone of her...personality type.

-Gifts were supposed to be commonplace on birthdays so she figured that was as good a place to start as any. Problem is, she didn't really know kind of gift what was appropriate.

-After much deliberation and some asking around in a very...Bullet kind of way, she settles on a book relating to something you'd particularly shown a lot of interest in.

-She can't shake the feeling of awkwardness and nerves of giving you something, feeling the pressure now more than ever that she was actually doing it.

-You know full well Bullet really tried her best to do something nice for you despite not knowing what birthdays are typically like. You make your gratefulness as apparent as you can, making her let out a breath she didn't know she was holding in relief.

-You thought Bullet's birthday cluelessness was bad? Well at least she had people who cared about her to spend them with. Kokonoe on the other hand...yeah.

-You are not getting a party, you'd have better luck jumping into shark infested water with pork chops in your pants. Being the pragmatist she is, Kokonoe thinks all the hooplah to be a waste of time and money, she has far more important things to be doing.

-She's not cruel though, she's not going to ignore the day entirely. Like Bullet, she'll commemorate the day in a very...'her' way.

-She likely cooks up some kind of weird, never-before seen gadget just for you that she knows you can use in some way, for self defense, missions, or some miscellaneous use.

-Being a scientist, she's a very practical person. Whatever you get is something she knows for a fact you'll be using frequently, not some sentimental bullcrap that'll just collect dust somewhere in your house.

-If she's feeling nicer than usual, she'll also throw in some chocolates from her personal stash in there as well. Collecting the stuff is a hobby for her, one of the only ones she has so it's definitely guaranteed to be the good stuff.

-Once you're alone with her she'll present her gift to you and attempt to casually play it off, but her inexperience is obvious in both her body language and the subtle, soft coloration on her face. It's actually pretty cute, but don't point that out to her.

Could we please get some headcanons on what Ann, Makoto, Futaba, Haru, and Sumire would do to celebrate their s/o's birthday? Thanks a bunch and happy birthday!

The ol' five character hitter again. Thank god this is the only fandom where this happens. Does kinda tank quality though having to do it for a full five especially since it's not my main hyperfixation anymore.

-You better believe Ann is going all out for your special day. It's only the most appropriate thing to do for her S/O.

-There was that super nice hotel buffet she and the rest of the thieves went to after they successfully changed Kamoshida's heart. You hadn't joined the group yet so that'd be a nice place to take you to.

-Even if you aren't a foodie, there's no way you're able to turn down high class food like that, especially since Ann likely spent a pretty penny to get you two in.

-After stuffing yourselves to your heart's content (and likely getting a few extra pounds you'd definitely need to work off), she takes you to Inokashira park for a peaceful stroll under the sunset.

-Soon you two sit down a bench for a break, when she gives you a small, wrapped box. Opening it up you find an attachable charm inside. The lines and finer details are a bit uneven, suggesting this was something Ann made herself.

She quickly reveals she has another one just like it on her bag to match yours, having wanted to give you something that felt unique. It was extremely heartwarming.

(Makoto's birthday is the day right after this post goes up, which means it's the day after mine.)

-Makoto is a bit anxious. She hadn't really had a proper birthday celebration, whether doing it or receiving it ever since her father died. Sae was unfortunately too busy for any of that stuff 99 percent of the time.

-Now that you two were dating, she was hoping to change that. She can't do anything extravagant but that wasn't going to stop her.

-She keeps it relatively simple. Instead of taking you out somewhere like Ann, she makes a home cooked meal from scratch and invites you over to her place.

-She'll treat you to whatever movie you want to watch from the comfort of inside and bring out the blankets, popcorn, and any other movie treats you like. Just...don't ask for a horror movie. Please.

-Makoto doesn't really have any gift ideas she's all that confident in, so she opted to instead spend the day with you and give you the attention you deserve. She hopes that through her actions she conveys how much she loves you.

-Take Makoto's nervousness/cluelessness, and double it. Now you have an idea of what celebrating someone else's birthday is like for Futaba.

-She very easily gets in her own head about what she should and shouldn't be doing for her S/O's birthday. Her birthdays even when her mom was alive were never exactly normal due to how busy she was, let alone after she died both before and after Sojiro took her in.

-After some reassurance from both Sojiro and Joker, she decides to just let it come naturally to her and be herself.

-She invites you over to her room as she usually does for a majority of your dates to play some video games and watch some shows. It doesn't have to be anime, it can just be whatever you want. She'll go at least a little easier when you're playing games too so you can have a chance at winning.

-You've most certainly been able to share most of your interests with Futaba, she wants to know about them just as much as she wants to share hers with you. This makes it pretty easy to get you a gift you'd like.

A shirt, an action figure, maybe a music album, something relating to your interest that even you probably didn't know existed. Either because it's custom made or that Futaba just really knows her way around the internet far better than you.

-You've been at a decently comfortable point in your relationship with Haru for a while now, and she is absolutely thrilled to be able to celebrate your birthday however you want.

-One might expect someone of her social standing to treat you to the highest class date money can buy, and she absolutely can, but she would much prefer something more intimate and heartfelt.

-She invites you over to her place where she has a stack of baked goods waiting for you two to share. Some ordered, some homemade. Also to offset the sheer amount of sugar, a more healthy meal she made herself, even having grown most if not all the ingredients.

-If there was anything you expressed a want to have, no matter how expensive it is, that is now your birthday gift as well. Depending on the price, your jaw is probably going to drop as Haru presents it like it's nothing with the sweetest smile on her face.

-If your appetite rivals that of Sumire and you're still hungry she's more than happy to cook/bake together with you, playfully throwing flour or water on each other and bantering. She's more than willing to get serious and teach you how to cook if needed, she likely has enough experience to do so.

-Of course no date with Haru is ever complete with the softest, warmest cuddles of your life, under a blanket together as you drift off to sleep or watch a movie. It never fails to get your heart beating faster as her smaller body buries into yours.

-Despite her demure, sweet demeanor, Sumire can be quite the go-getter due to her athletic background. This naturally translates to celebrations of any kind.

-Your wallet is thankfully spared for today as she treats you this time. It may or may not be too much for you to swallow everything down but either way she's happy. Either for the extra food or that you enjoy everything she throws at you and that you can match her appetite.

-After that, it's time for a jog around the park to work off all those extra calories. Some form of exercise is typical when spending time with her but she's lax for today as the the point is to celebrate you and the fact that you're here today. She'll be fine with slowing down to a walk too if that's more comfortable for you as you two share leisurely conversation with each other.

-She did manage to also find a decent gift for you thanks to advice from her parents. She presents you with a special, designer made perfume/cologne. Since you're working out with her so much she figured you could use something to help with the stink of doing so, and she wanted it to be something special.

-From then on you make a point to wear it on all your dates with her. She notices this but doesn't bring it up, feeling a bit too shy to do so.

Chie, Yukiko, and Wagner being surprised by their S/O for their birthday and them also finding out their S/O is a master at cooking and baking? (Honestly they need an s/o who can cook since canonically they all suck at it.)

Fun fact, I almost had this ask finished by but my fucking browser crashed and I lost everything. God fucking dammit.

-Chie's cooking had...improved a bit at least, though that would be rather generous. People weren't in danger of going catatonic from it, but it was just bland.

-She tended to end up using so many flavors at once that they all cancelled each other out and made something completely flavorless, almost like eating water.

-You thankfully were not nearly as helpless, so much so that you ended up being assigned to making the cake for her party that the rest of the IT were throwing for her. Yukiko and Rise were rather disappointed they couldn't do it but the boys all breathed a collective sigh of relief.

-What you end up making isn't good, it's really good. The aforementioned ladies weren't even mad about it anymore once they had a taste of it for themselves. Chie especially was happy about it, and proud to call herself your girlfriend in that moment.

-She definitely knows who she's relinquishing cooking duty to when you eventually get a place together.

-Until that time comes though, expect to get a lot more requests from her to make her lunch most days. It'd be a reason for her to look forward to school now.

-Yukiko was in a similar situation to Chie in regards to her cooking skills, or lack thereof. Thankfully she's pretty aware of it and is trying to improve, as much of a mixed bag as that is sometimes.

-You'd suggested spending a day at the Amagi inn together to celebrate her birthday, let her relax and take advantage of it's services for once and not have to worry about taking care of guests.

-Naturally given your hobby, you end up doing some cooking beforehand, making a nice homemade dinner for both of you to enjoy. Yukiko had known you were a cook but hadn't yet had the chance to try for herself.

-The moment Yukiko puts the fork to her mouth she instantly gushes about how good it is, quite the contrast to her own skills. She very quickly scarfs if down despite her attempts to control herself.

-She then has the spontaneous idea to make a date out baking cookies together using the inn's kitchen with you teaching her how along the way.

-She has some...interesting ideas to say the least. Mostly not in a good way. Odd ideas for ingredients/flavors to use, wrong ideas about how to use kitchen equipment, and everything in between.

-You nearly have a heart attack when she suggests setting the oven to a higher temperature so that they bake faster. You just barely manage to talk her out of it so that she doesn't start a fire, knowing damn well what she would do if left unchecked.

-Wagner had been fully aware for a while now that cooking was not her forte, after several failed attempts. She knew it was for the better not to try again as well.

-Despite her snide attitude, she learned to be grateful for anyone who provides food for her, and an S/O who can cook quality scratch meals is definitely an important box to be checked for her in a relationship.

-Her birthday rolled around and you decided to make something a little extra special for her. Using your experience you used an entire week taking what you learned cooking in general and about what she liked best in a dish to make what you felt would be her new favorite food.

-Wagner was a big fan of tempura in particular so that was your focus. Opening up the box with the food inside, she could feel her stomach rumbling as she looked at it.

-She'd heard many times before that cooking was a labor of love. An activity that one continued to get better at when they cooked for the people they cared about. By that logic how much you loved her was practically palpable in every bite.

-As you go about the rest of the day together celebrating her special day, she still can't get that food off her mind. She's not exactly one to admit things out loud too much of the time, but she does sincerely admit how grateful she is.

-What she can't seem to figure out how to communicate though is that it might just be the best damn thing she's eaten in her life, and that really says something considering the type of lifestyle she was born into. She's absolutely going to request you recreate that recipe more often.

Request (Pokemon): Dawn and May's S/O's surprise them with not only a birthday cake, but a necklace that has a picture of thier starter Pokemon.

Gonna be honest, their personalities feel pretty samey even in the anime so sorry if this ends up feeling repetitive. Also I'm writing this at 11 pm-12 am.

Dawn

-Dawn had been practicing extra hard lately to improve her Pokemon Contest game. after a recent loss to a rather high ranked Contest Star and some encouragement from you, it fueled the fire in her to improve.

-On one hand you were a bit concerned for her health, but on the other you were still proud of what she was managing to do. So you decided to acknowledge that hard work (and hopefully get her to chillax a little) by doing something for her birthday that was coming up.

-You were thinking of potentially making a cake yourself, but you then remembered an ice cream place you went to a while back on one of your dates that had good reviews for their cakes as well, so you decided to give one of those a try. Something else was in order though, not just a cake. Then as soon as you thought about it, an idea hit you.

-Despite your moderate worry, Dawn's hard work does in fact pay off. There's a contest on her birthday and the performance she and her team give is nothing less than dazzling, easy winning over the crowd.

-You of course watch in person but after the show's over you text her to meet at your place. Once she arrives, she's met with her friends and family throwing a surprise party for her with a rather large cake. She half doubts the ability for everyone to eat it all even with so many of them.

-Presents and congratulations are given out liberally, all of which she of course treasures. However the most special one is from her beloved S/O. A locket keychain with a picture she'd taken herself the first day she got Piplup from Professor Rowan. One she'd treasure for the rest of her days.

May

-May had recently gotten into battling on the side. She thought that by practicing her moves in battles, she could improve her Pokemon coordinating skills.

-She certainly wasn't bad by any stretch of the imagination, but she still had a long way to go before she reached her goal. Whatever that even was.

-Soon her birthday starts rolling around and despite being rough around the edges, she'd made some real progress. You wanted to commemorate that somehow.

-Cake was obviously mandatory. Nothing too big, you wanted a more close, intimate day out together. You decided making it yourself would help enhance that feeling. It's tough if you've never done it before, but you manage to get a decent end result.

-A gift would be necessary, too. Recently you'd come across a place that makes custom lockets that you could give them a picture to use, and you knew the perfect one. A picture you'd printed from your phone of her precious Torchic.

-It thankfully all goes well. You two spend a nice sunset in the park together sitting and talking about anything and everything as both your Pokemon play around together.

-The cake might not be the greatest ever made, but somehow food jus tastes better when eating with someone you love. Of course, the adorable Torchic necklace was metaphorical icing on it.

Request: For their birthdays, Futaba and Malina's S/O's get them the limited edition pack of the newest video game that they've had their eyes on.

-It was only natural the Phantom Thieves would start organizing a party for Futaba's special day. Nothing too big, of course, for her sake, but a big ol' celebration at Leblanc certainly wouldn't hurt.

-Futaba hadn't really told anyone about it yet since she didn't have the chance, but she was really looking forward to a specific game for a pretty long time, and of course she wanted the limited special edition.

-She did tell Sojiro, but it was too expensive for him and a waste of money in his eyes. And of course she couldn't rely on a bunch of high school students to be able to afford it.

-So it's a pretty big surprise when the gift she opens from you turns out to be the very thing she'd been wanting. You'd seen her look at it online when you visited her room and knew that'd be something nice to get for her birthday.

-It wasn't easy, mind you. You're a high school student with other responsibilities just like everyone else. But you wanted to treat her for her first birthday as your S/O.

-The look on her face and the way her eyes lit up was worth all the effort as she immediately ripped open the box and put on the helmet that came with the special edition. That thing was not coming off for the foreseeable future.

-Malina...isn't a particular fan of newer games. She has a very pessimistic view of the industry as a whole nowadays. Whether you agree with that sentiment is up to you.

-One day you took her to a game store since you needed to play into her interests to get her out of the house. And you'd rather not have to deal with a drunk demon causing chaos at the bar.

-She's mostly pretty disinterested, being the huge skeptic that she is. That is though until something manages to catch her eyes. A remake, specifically.

-An old Heroes game had apparently gotten a remake without her knowledge, and a limited edition with downloadable DLC for some extra loot and characters was currently being sold, and on limited quantity.

-Seeing that her birthday was coincidentally coming up in a couple days, you saw no reason not to get it for her. She honestly didn't expect you to do something like that for her of all people, but she does appreciate it (though she's most tsundere tsundere to ever tsundere so you won't be hearing that out loud.)

-The two of you promptly head home and boot up the game, spending the rest of the night playing it until sunrise. Whether or not that was your intention.

Request (Persona): Rise comes home from a tour to see her S/O and their kids have set up a birthday party for her.

Lowkey feel a little bad for any kids Rise might have. She'd be a great mom but can't be there as much as she wants due to her work.

-Chances are this was quite the miracle to actually have happen. Rise really had to put her foot down with her manager so she could be home with her family on her birthday and not spend it in some far off city on the other side of the country doing some event for it.

-As soon as you got the phone call from her saying she was able to come home, you immediately got to work. The kids were immediately in on the plan as you rushed to get everything set up in time.

-You unfortunately didn't get much forewarning so it's a race against the clock to get everything done in time. Having a couple extra pairs of hands proves very critical to succeeding.

-When she gets off the train you head over to pick her up, leaving the kids alone for a bit to make sure everything's perfect. Inaba was a perfectly safe town and it'd only be for about 10 minutes, you weren't worried.

-Once you're in front of the door you tell Rise to wait outside for a couple minutes while you go and get something. She's pretty confused but complies until you tell her from inside she's good to come in now.

-Stepping into her home for the first time in a while, the first thing Rise's met with is a huge cake and he living room decorated for a party you and the kids worked hard on, down to the last minute details.

-The gasp escaping her is one of pure joy as she holds her hands to her mouth and has to hold back tears. The kids are immediately trapped in her death grip, only being let go when she pulls you into the hardest kiss of your life, much to their simultaneous relief and dismay, which you and her have a good chuckle about.

-A traditional birthday party with her family is one she's wanted for a very long time, but just hasn't been able to have much, if at all due to her work. Just something between the people she cared for most in her life. The old IT members were great and all, but things tended go get...chaotic. sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse.

-Best birthday ever.

Request (Persona 3): Aigis, Metis, and Labry's S/O's plan a surprise birthday party for them, so they act as secretive as they can until their B-Days.

I have unfortunately not played The Answer, gonna have to wait for P3R DLC for that, so it's just Aigis and Labrys for now.

-Aigis, rather predictably, wasn't all that familiar with the custom of celebrating birthdays. She did know yours was just around the corner and knew that at least something was necessary but didn't know what to do.

-She went around asking the rest of S.E.E.S what to do, which turned out about as well as one would expect. She was assaulted with so many ideas all at once she only left even more conflicted on what she was supposed to do.

-It was only when she asked Mitsuru it became clear. There were no expectations or pressure to do anything in particular, just do what she thought you would like best. It was your day, after all.

-Going through her memory banks looking at the time she's spent with you, a majority of your dates tended to be more reserved and intimate. Those were what you seemed to enjoy the most. Not so much the activity itself but rather the time spent with her. So that's what she decided to do.

-The day of your birthday Aigis wakes you up with breakfast in bed, made specially for you by Shinji at her request. She more than trusts his abilities, even if he can be a bit...stingy in the kitchen.

-Once you're full and ready to head out she spends the day taking you to a bunch of different places you like, some places you'd probably been to once or twice before you really enjoyed. Of course if you see something you like she's more than happy to give it to you.

-The most important thing was that you spent your birthday with your girlfriend. While she didn't quite know what she was doing, the fact she was putting in effort really warmed your heart.

-Labrys had always wanted to celebrate someone's birthday as humans call them, her occupation though had left her with little to no time to do so. That was until you came around, being part of the Shadow Operatives.

-She was ecstatic to find out it was quickly coming up. There were so many thing she wanted to try, and her S/O was the perfect target. She's pretty much bursting with excitement.

-She's planning the biggest party she can physically manage, making sure everything down to the last detail is perfect and ropes the rest of S.E.E.S into it. If any IT members catch on and wanna help too, she's certainly not one to turn them down.

-She can be kind of demanding on S.E.E.S, but it is for a dear friend and none of them really have the heart to turn her down when she's so pumped up.

-Junpei takes you out to the mall on the actual day of to distract you for a couple hours while everyone else puts on the finishing touches. He's pretty good at keeping you occupied and the team doesn't really trust him with party prep anyway. He's pretty good at selling he act that he's not up to anything, surprisingly.

-Upon returning to base, it's completely dark, before the lights are turned on and you're greeted with everyone popping out from the hiding, even some IT members shouting "surprise!"

-It's not hard to deduce that Labrys is the mastermind behind the whole operation, even before she proudly owns up to it, wanting to commemorate you on your special day.

-Decorations and plans she's drawn out are as grand as they are cliche. Which is to say very, on both fronts. It's a very Labrys thing to do, though clearly everyone else had to help out so she didn't misinterpret anything and screw up. Even if you're not usually one for parties, you're really appreciative of her for going to such lengths just for you.

-Now enough of the sappy stuff. Stop standing around, it's time to party like the world is ending.

Persona 5 Strikers request: After a long day of work, Ichinose's S/O surprises her at her lab to give her a birthday present-A locket that has a picture of Ichinose, Sophie, and the S/O in it.

Hey this ain't a bad idea. A lot of character development would be needed though before she's anywhere near ready for a relationship.

-Ichinose probably never celebrated her birthday before. She never saw the point when she had far more important things to do.

-That was however until she'd made Sophia, and then later down the line met you. Despite everything, both of you still cared for her, seeing her as your family. She could never understand why, no matter how much she really did appreciate the thought.

-It eventually reached you that her birthday was here now, and she hadn't told you about it. And she'd already gone off to work for the day. You sort of expected it, as disappointed as you were.

-But you weren't going to let that deter you, you wanted to do something, even if this wasn't the type of girlfriend to like a huge party or go out drinking with her 10+ friends.

-Frankly, she didn't really do...much of anything outside of working and spending time with you and So- wait...

-Lightbulb.

-It really is the perfect gift idea for her. a locket with a picture of all three of you in it that Ichinose can carry around and look at whenever she's just not having a good day.

-She's quite taken aback she'd practically never gotten anything for her birthday before, even if it was somewhat her fault. She doesn't quite understand the meaning at first but she knows it'd be rude to not accept it.

-It's only a couple days later when she realizes. She's pulling an all-nighter and her work is beating her down. Almost naturally, she finds herself opening up the locket and gazing at the picture of herself, you, and Sophia.

-It...actually managed to make her smile. A real one.

-Wagner has a very...high class idea of how birthdays are celebrated. Just about every one she's been to, including her own has had a budget equal to what the average person makes in an entire year.

-Frankly a change of pace would be quite nice for her. And now that she had you, her S/O around and with your birthday now coming, it was the perfect chance to do that.

-She's still going to spoil you to hell and back if you've managed to get under her skin enough to become her S/O, but maybe she'll save the more extravagant ideas she has for sometime in the future.

-Whatever you've said you wanted for the last month or two in front of her, you're getting showered with it all thanks to Wagner's family fortune.

-She'd much prefer to spend the day out treating you. Anywhere you want to eat, any recreational place you'd want to go to. It's supposed to be your day, after all. Your happiness today is the priority.

-Just as long as it isn't too down and dirty, she does still have dignity and an image to maintain. More rustic stuff isn't quite her pace. The more ordinary things will please her just fine though, as long as you're having a good time.

-Izanami is actually pretty used to celebrations, despite almost never making public appearances. For a beloved S/O, she has no qualms with holding a celebration for their birthday to make them happy, though it's definitely going to be a reserved, invite-only event.

-Saya's memories and feelings certainly make her more inclined to the idea than she'd normally be. Izanami can't really help herself in that regard, it's her influence that drives her wish to see you happy, for what time you have left until Doomsday, of course.

-The main attendees are the Duodecim and some high ranking NOL officers here and there. Their payment required to get in? A satisfactory gift for you judged by the Imperator herself. If they can't even gift you something adequate enough then they have no business being anywhere near you.

-She specifically doesn't invite Relius and Hazama, it's not even a question. It's not like they can't behave on the surface, but she knows damn well those two would get up to some shady shit behind the scenes. They are allies, not friends. Their goals are all very different and very self serving at the end of the day.

-Izanami's sort of like a predator being possessive over their prey in that sense. She's not letting you anywhere near those two if she can help it. You're all hers, and she's going to let you know it.

-That's specifically why she planned such an extravagant, enchanting, exclusive event just for you. To spoil you rotten and show you that there's no better fit for your lover than she is. No one else would be able to do something like this for you, would they? Yes, she might be affectionate and perhaps even loving to you, but she's still the manipulative, cunning incarnation of Death itself...

Request(Blazblue): On the day of their birthday's Makoto, Noel, Tsubaki, and Mai's S/O's back them their favorite dishes (Mai's S/O even asking Noel to help them cook for her).

I am so sorry if this gets repetitive, that's kinda how it goes sometimes for 4 character requests. Probably gonna be a bit shorter than usual.

-It doesn't take much to figure out what kind of food Makoto likes. Not only does her heritage make it pretty obvious but she's also quite the foodie in general.

-She doesn't have any particular favorite food but she is a big sweets gal, and of course being a squirrel, nuts are a personal favorite of hers. There are plenty of dishes out there that meet both those criteria, you have options.

-Eventually the idea you decided on was a chestnut parfait. Sweet, easy to make, had nuts, and had fruits to make it at least somewhat healthy. The perfect plan.

-When lunch eventually rolls around you head up to Makoto and present it to her while wishing her a happy birthday. Her mouth almost starts to water right then and there.

-She scarfs it down at record speeds that are frankly a bit concerning. She certainly enjoyed it though judging by her smile and the way her tail couldn't seem to stop wagging.

-As soon as she's done her arms wrap around you immediately in an enthusiastic showing of thanks. She's absolutely going to ask you for more in the future.

-Noel's not too much of a foodie, she absolutely prefers to cook instead of eat, much to everyone's dismay.

-However her birthday happens to fall on Christmas, so you have as good of an excuse as any to make something for her. A traditional Christmas dish could fulfill your needs well.

-You spend hours toiling away in the kitchen, making a nice, full meal for the both of you to enjoy. You figured it'd be a nice thing to do for both of you since work in the NOL has left you both unfortunately unable to go home for Christmas.

-Mercifully, your workload is at least greatly lightened for the day if not outright eliminated entirely. As soon as you're done with what little you have to do and evening comes you invite Noel over to your place, not telling her the reason.

-The first thing Noel is met with is a table filled with steaming hot food, leaving her unable to hold back her shock that you'd go so far for her.

-She doesn't know whether to kiss you or dig right in, however her nervousness gets the best of her and she opts to go for the food, which is by no means a bad choice. The effort and love you put into it really shines through.

-Mission success. Now all that's left is to pray to whatever God will listen that she doesn't get the urge to return the favor...

-Tsubaki is a sucker for chocolate, as much as she tries not to let it get to her. It gets to the point that Jin of all people worries about her in this regard.

-Her birthday just so happens to coincidentally fall on White Day, so you'd likely already be getting her chocolate anyway. The problem is having both occasions on the same day sorta ups the pressure on your part to perform.

-You eventually decided the best way to fill the criteria for both was via chocolate cake. You didn't want just some simple, easy cake from a box anyone could make, you knew she deserved better.

-Then you had an epiphany. You could indeed churn out something worthy of such a lovely lady. After spending a good amount of time in the kitchen you end up with a chocolate cake sweetened with condensed milk along topped with caramel and whipped cream. Surely this would pay off.

-Tsubaki's eyes light up as soon as she sees the fruits of your hard labor, even more so once she takes the first bite. She is practically in heaven. It felt like she was falling for you all over again.

(Can't believe it took this long to finally write for Mai. Though I'm writing this last minute on late night April 21st so what can you do lmao)

-It's rather tough for you to pin down what sort of food Mai would like considering her...complicated relationship with food.

-Whatever you do see her eat, it's completely mangled beyond recognition by whatever the hell Noel does whenever she cooks. You don't know, and frankly you don't think you want to.

-However this is going to turn out to be a nice boon for a change. Not being able to cook for Mai was a serious point of grief for you due to her supertaste, but with Noel around you can finally do so. She immediately agrees to the plan.

-After some discussion about what she typically makes for Mai and what she seems to like best, you two decide on a seafood pilaf. You'd make the base since you wanted to contribute at least something to the dish, and let Noel take it from there.

-Frankly it's a bit scary, leaving her with a perfectly normal dish and then getting it back looking like a weapon of mass destruction. This weapon of mass destruction though was all Mai could eat so you really can't complain. (Not complaining about Noel's cooking...what the hell have you come to...?)

-Mai's grin is practically ear to ear as she eagerly eats everything down, especially once she hears that both you and Noel worked on the dish. As far as she's concerned this is the best damn thing she's ever eaten, thanking you both with a big smile and hug. Being able to eat after what happened is always a treat.

-You still have no idea what Noel does to any food she touches to make it end up the way it does, but perhaps it's one of those mysteries that's just best left unsolved.

Bonus request

So, this was a request that was given to me in DMs. @chefskillet1 was the only person to miss the deadline for a request so I decided to give her a free request submission. She asked for HCs about how Izanami and Nine celebrate their S/O's birthday, but Izanami was already done in a previous post so Nine will be done here. This ask will take place after the Dark War before she dies since that feels more natural to me for this post.

-Nine is quite used to celebrating a birthday, she does it all the time for the people important to her like Celica and Trinity, she'll have no qualms doing it for an S/O as well.

-Even after the Dark War and losing a lot of her political power, she can still definitely do something for you. She'll be damned if she doesn't, she got way too close to losing you for comfort, she's fully intent on spoiling you

-She still has more than enough power to reserve an entire building in Ishana specifically for the celebration, getting Celica and the rest of the Heroes to help out, albeit with differing levels of enthusiasm.

-She can be a real slave driver at times, as everyone finds out in her efforts to make everything as perfect as possible. Terumi especially has it bad, though since he's still under the Mind Eater, he can't do much of anything to go against her.

-On the day of your birthday, Celica tells you to come to some place in Ishana you hadn't yet been to before. You hadn't really had time to wander since for the last 10 years you and everyone else were too busy trying to stop a giant ass nuclear hydra from ending the world. You had no reason to not at least see what she was up to.

-Much to your surprise, there's a whole ass party set up just for you, Nine, Celica and the rest of the Heroes having differing energies as they shouted "surprise!". Nine, Celica, Trinity, and Jubei were all quite enthusiastic, Valkenhayn not as much but still wanted to do his part, Terumi doing it rather begrudgingly, and Hakumen expectedly staying silent.

-Gifts of all kinds are laid out on the table nearby, it's pretty easy to tell who each one is from since no two people in this crowd are completely alike. Tea leaves from Valk that you've probably never seen before, a special magic charm from Celica imbued with some of her power, A shiny new katana from Jubei, a special staff handmade by Trinity to enhance your magic, the list goes on.

-Nine had something extra special for you, though, naturally. Her gift is a magic snowglobe of Ishana, shaking it while thinking about any particular part of your home will show your happiest memories there, however few and far between they may or may not be.

-The day you first met Nine and all your other friends, the day you two finally hooked up, your wedding if you're already married, the party of historical proportions when the Black Beast was finally slain, and many more you can revisit with this one contraption.

-Terumi couldn't be fucked to get you anything, so to make up for that Nine makes him do party tricks. Maximum embarrassment for the bastard and maximum amusement for the rest of you. Though he would never admit, even Hakumen couldn't help a scoff of amusement here and there, taking pleasure in the humiliation of the man who'd caused him so much suffering.

-Nine may be brash, aggressive, and hot-headed, but it's moments like these where you're reminded that she really does care about you, more than life itself. She'd go to hell and back to ensure you and her family are safe and sound.
