I wonder how many antis exist because of those videos from the commentary community side of Youtube.

Like, the reason I was an anti ( didn't go by that term, but I held the beliefs to some extent, ) was because of those pumping me full of "incest fics and pedo fics baddddd" without having me question it because, well, I was in my early- to mid-teens and just thought "Yeah, sounds about right!"

I actually remember watching a video by one commentary Youtuber ( their persona had pink hair I think ) which talked about the "problems" about aging up characters. They eventually concluded it with saying it's not really that bad/was a complicated subject, and at that point I was agreeing with most/all their point made in the vid. I think that was when I started to identify as comship, but not entirely proship due to the misinfo of what proship/profic is that I'd been fed.

I think the only reason I started holding fully proship beliefs was cuz I decided to actually look into what proship/profic is, and try to hear out the proship arguments/beliefs ( with a critical mind ofc. ) Eventually I found out paraphilias are chronic, found out kinks have no morals, and more, which had me switching beliefs, though.

Idk if others have experienced this, but knowing how many people exist? Doubt I'm alone lol.

Either way, not caring about the morality of the fictional shit I enjoy is so much better, and really freeing.

Idk maybe it's just me that likes to clown on hateful people that do that type of stuff, but it could also be bad since it's giving them responses/reactions.

Omfg I was scrolling on TikTok and a video that was discussing the Harkness test and monster fucking came up on my FYP, and I'm pleasantly surprised at the fact it was a good take through and through.

Basically the person in the TikTok explained that the Harkness test isn't 100% taken seriously in the monster fucking community cuz of the appeal of the fantasy. They explained that a big part of the appeal of monsterfucking ( at least to them and a lot of other people ) is the CNC aspects, that there's nothing wrong with that, and how consent applies to fantasies aka that it basically doesn't matter cuz it's your fantasy ( so your consent is always there, ) and the monster isn't real.

They also went on to explain how it'd apply to irl roleplay ( which can apply to both CNC scenarios and monsterfucking due to how linked they are at times. ) You know, with safewords, discussed boundaries, a planned-out scenario or more, and so on so forth.

Like, finally, some good fucking food. Thank you, TikTok FYP, for giving me one of the rare, good takes on that god forsaken platform.

You know, I find it odd that people on TikTok use that censored language as much as they do.

Personally, when I comment, I can say things like "sex"/"sexuality," "porn," "kill," "rape," etc just fine and still get the usual amount of engagement/not receive any type of warning. Sure, the censorship is there based on the hidden comments feature, but it's flaky at best, ( and really odd cuz I've seen comments like "Hot" be censored, ) so the prominent word censorship culture on there is just really useless half of the time.

I've also seen this one specific creator reading the takes of pro-lifers, and she doesn't censor the words used either. I see her content just fine, even if she says shit like "rape"/"raped" multiple times. Not sure if her engagement takes a hit for it or if she gets warnings, but the content is still viewable to me, and I've seen her multiple times on my FYP ( as recent as just a day or so ago. ) Though do note that censorship is a lot harsher on creators from what I've seen, so I can give them leeway in some cases.

I guess it's a linguistic thing where a word over time changes meaning due to the original one being "bad," so people find a "less bad" word to replace it with until that new word also becomes "bad." But either way, it's annoying as fuck and pretty much pointless.

I was rereading my previous post about the TikTok censorship culture/thing, and it made me wonder what part of it isn't actually censorship, but in reality the algorithm doing it's thing.

I mean, it's already known how flaky and unreliable the TikTok censoring is at times, and also known that the algorithm on TikTok can get really specific, too.

So if that's the case, who's to say that the censoring "trend" isn't just people engaging more with the censored content, which then pushes more censored content to those people?

Who's to say that it isn't because they use those censored words in comments/videos, which is then picked up on by the app, and then has the algorithm show more content using that language to them?

Watch time could also be a factor since TikTok also picks up on that. So if a word like "rape" makes a person uncomfortable and scroll as a result, then that could also affect it in one way or another.

I don't know lmao maybe I'm just reaching, or this is a really obvious thing I'm realizing only now.

Just saw a person in a TikTok comment section with all the "proship" emoji combos. People were saying to check the person's search history and hard drive, but in the same comment section replies the person said they only use all the combos to mock proshippers.

Idk I just find it kinda comical that antis didn't even stop to think "hey, maybe this person using 6+ proship emoji combos in their username is trolling" which ended up with the emoji combo person being harrassed by, like, 10+ people if not more.

I just found out that I ( most likely ) have an allergy for grapes, which I think is gonna be really kinda funny if an anti tells me they wish I'll be "graped."

Anyway, I was at a game expo here recently, and while there I got 2 keychains. At first I was only planning on getting a Laios keychain, but I was worried he'd get lonely so after a bit I also bought a Falin one from the same artist.

Shout-out to proshippers/darkshippers like me who partake in the dark media we consume, not because we've been through the abuse/trauma depicted, but because what we've already been through doesn't feel "valid enough."

I promise you, you aren't bad for having an urge to go through "worse." It's a natural response your brain has when your pain and hurt doesn't feel validated enough. I can guarantee you that whatever you've been through- even if "small"- isn't something to simply be ignored or treated as lesser.

You were hurt, and you deserve the acknowledgement and support for that like any other survivor does. Sometimes people and society just tend to overlook trauma that isn't on the extreme end, even if all trauma is just that no matter the "degree": trauma.

I know it probably doesn't mean much coming from a stranger on the internet, but I'm proud of you for finding a coping mechanism where you don't go out and hurt yourself. Personally I'd rather have you, or anyone in general, consume your darkfiction, than go and seek out abuse in real life.
