The swapped AU would be so interesting. Aventurine seeking out (ex) Doctor Ratio because some of his old research could help with Aventurine’s. Ratio agrees to help if Aventurine beats him in a game. When Aven does beat him and learns of the situation, it activates Ratio’s drive for knowledge and understanding despite him swearing off such pursuits.
gambler ratio would lowkey get an obsession for kakavasha at first because of his luck, mentally noting every little thing he does to see what makes him click and eventually evolving into something more personal
I've never seen anyone pointed at this, but because i rewatched Final Victor lc animation a million times (for scientific reasons), i noticed a little thing

So...just to clarify... We have character whose eyes are empty. Whose eyes used to shine in childhood, but lost all their brightness over time. Because he is empty. "His self beneath is extraordinarily faint"
And yet. His eyes are shining when he looks at Ratio.

I imagine that after Merventurine goes back to the ocean in the future, Ratio will find himself still making two servings of cooked, seasoned tuna for days. He'll convince himself it was for the best, and in the same train of thought turn his gaze towards the sea just in case. Hence, I named this piece Reluctant Farewell. Brrt don't know how to paint caustic effects on underwater skin yet. Thanks again to the man, the myth, the spoinky, @havanillas for providing us with brainrot good food for this AU.
