The Brothers Of House Black

Sirius kept pacing around his room ‘it should be here any moment’ he thought. Finally, after waiting for what seemed like decades, he heard the sound of a delivery owl flying in the distance

“ It’s here, it’s here” he chanted excitedly, dashing out of his room as fast as he could to retrieve the letter.

“ what’s with the commotion” his brother Regulus yawned, awoken by the loudness of his chanting.

“My Hogwarts letter is finally here” he yelled excitedly, making Regulus’s eyes widen with excitement for his brother

“Really? Show me” regulus exclaimed

Sirius handed the letter and the list of required items to Regulus while jumping up and down in excitement

“Woah there’s a lot of stuff you have to buy”

“Yup and a wand too “Sirius chirped happily “I can’t wait to go” he added excitedly “so I won’t have to stay in this stupid house anymore”.

“ Sirius….” regulus said sadly “ please don’t go to Hogwarts this year” he pleaded

“ What? Why?” Sirius asked with a confused expression on his face

“ What if u make friends that will make u forget all about me” he sighed miserably “and what if you decide not to come back here…. I’ll be alone.

“don’t ever say that again,” Sirius said sternly “ how could I ever forget you Reg?” he whispered “ ill write to you so often that you won’t even notice I’m not there”

“Besides it’s only for now, next year you’ll come to Hogwarts too and we’ll go together” Sirius chirped happily

“ But what if we get sorted into different houses?” regulus asked

“Even in different houses, even if we play quidditch against each other and even if we don’t get along all the time, you will always be my little brother’

“Promise?”                              

“I promise “

“Well then you better tell mother and father that you’ve received your Hogwarts letter” regulus suggested “ we wouldn’t want them getting angry this early in the morning” he added

“Your right the last thing I need is a lecture this early in the morning”

“KREACHER” Sirius yelled. As if on cue the house elf immediately appeared in front of Sirius.

“Master Sirius called for me?” the house elf bowed though Sirius did not miss the slight sneer in his voice

Sirius rolled his eyes and responded “ yes, I did please inform mother and father that my Hogwarts letter has arrived and to schedule a day for them to take me to Diagon ally to get all the required school supplies” he commanded.

“ Yes, master Sirius right away master Sirius Kreacher will make sure to inform the mistress of your request”

“ And don’t forget to prepare breakfast after you’re done ” Sirius reminded

“Of course, master Sirius Kreacher will make sure to prepare breakfast after speaking with mistress Walburga. the house elf bowed and Disapparated.

“You need to stop being so harsh with him you know” regulus scolded

“Why should I the house elf’s job is to serve us wizards besides he doesn’t even like me anyway ” Sirius huffed

Regulus sighed at his brother’s arrogance “let’s…. Let’s just get ready for breakfast” he concluded

“ Whatever you say Reggie” Sirius laughed while ruffling Regulus’s hair

“ don’t call me that” regulus murmured

“ Aww but Reggie suits you so much “ Sirius teased

Regulus sighed fondly at his brother’s antics and put his arm around his shoulder while walking to the dining hall knowing that Sirius heading off to Hogwarts will change the entire family and he feared that it was for the worst

But what if the marauders (James, Sirius, Remus and Lily) all get one together and then when Harry is there for the unraveling (because u know that would totally happen) and he just kinda waits until everyone leaves and is just like, “so where do u want it to go?” And the marauders are just like “umm wtf he talking abt??!!” And Harry thinking it was obvious replies with “the ultimate secret tunnel hidden behind your painting of course” and Sirius just explodes, James is smiling because (that’s my boy), Remus already has a list with ten ideas but it’s lily whose like “why does it have to have one exit?? Like Harry why can’t it go to honey dukes, Zonko’s, the Shrieking Shack, the kitchens and like everywhere else. I mean it would be the ultimate secret passageway from filch - truly something deserving of our legacy” and Harry just stands there because oh dear his mum was more badass in pranking than he ever thought.

thinking abt how a lot of ppl in the marauders fandom will say that sirius was ooc for the prank and it doesn’t make sense but like i’m around the same age as he would’ve been, and i’m a a good friend and person, but there have been occasions where i make stupid mistakes that hurt ppl and i don’t even know why i did it. like telling ppl things you shouldn’t bc it was someone else’s secret… we’ve all been there. and u feel horrible about it. but it’s like part of growing up and figuring out the responsibility of being a friend to someone yk. so like this is me saying that the prank was terrible, but it was also like realistic esp when u think of like other added context there might’ve been.
