Apparently The riddler has crazy distant family. Batman did not know that yet.

It was during on of Riddler's infamous hide and seek with his all his ? Trophiess hiding in odd places in gotham, each having a piece of the code and the whereabouts of riddler and the hostages that will harm in 2 hours if batman and the batfam didn't find them all.

Only half way through the hunt, Riddler's announcement was interrupted.

"Oh second cousin twice removed Eddd!!! We respecting your privacy by delining to the family reunion letter we sented you but asserting my role as the older second cousin and bringing you to the reunion anyways!" Said a loud voice and the sound of some statics sounds and the multiples of female and males voices.

"-'m in the middle of something importan-."

"Nonsense, Dad made two containers Extra fudge swirl with almonds with the edible white chocolate ?s that you like, you're coming with us or not?" Said a bargaining male voice..

a what if: ruby travels to mistral alone.

she tells ren & nora that she'll find jaune & pyrrha and bring them back. she hears jaune pleading for them to save pyrrha.

but she failed. for all the speed her semblance gives her, for all the difference her silver eyes made, she was too late to save her.

and then she wakes up, safe at home, the guilt and her failed promise eating her up and she can't bring herself to face nora, ren, or jaune.

so when qrow gives her all the information she needs about "their enemy's" next moves, going to mistral alone is an easy choice. a way of running away from the guilt, the fear of having to face her friends and the possibility that they might hate her, think less of her, for being too late to save pyrrha guiding her.

maybe she won't be late to make a difference in mistral. revenge is not on the front of her mind, but the thought of a chance of avenging her friend in some way, bringing news that could lessen the blow if and when she faces her friends once again, brings some kind of solace to her.

just. the fear and guilt of not being able to save everyone, not being enough, being just a moment too late. not being able to look her friends in the eyes for the fear they'll think less of her for not being the hero.

one promise failed to keep. that's all it took.

I know you have several time travel AUs already but consider: the last (4) Jedi wind up in the Clone Wars era.

Only one of them is an actual Jedi, half of them are romantically involved with someone (maybe even with each other if you ship skybridger), another half are extremely close with one or more Mandalorians, and none of them have had more than two years of training. Head canon idea :)

After returning from Russia, the bladebreakers notice that their captain almost routinely chats with Tala. They think of all possible situations from Kai online dating to him planning to switch teams again. Finally they decide to sneak a peak at their chats... And end up finding detailed description of Tala successfully driving his 5th therapist mad.

Kai trying to be super supportive. But his advice just makes the situation 10 times worse.
