Most everything influences my work. Working in a used bookstore. Going for walks in the woods and peering at mushrooms. Writing reviews….. Ariel Gordon. Just after I pulled into my parking space I glanced up and saw a lone mushroom growing smack dab in the middle of this tree stump & as I took a moment to watch the dappled sunlight play over this brave wee jewel, I pondered all of the metaphors for life one could draw from it & decided I’d just ponder them in my heart & let you make your own….feel free to share:-). This is the progress of my mushroom bag on day one. I finally learnt how to do a magic circle and started the project. This is the most confident I've felt about anything I've ever crochet and even though it's just the smallest part of the stump it makes me smile.
