I waited until the whole first season was out, I think? I was so obsessed with the Mandalorian (and still am, im making my mom and I armor >:D) tgat i didn't want to start a new serirs yet.
Then i binge watched the entire thing because i became obsessed with Crosshair and Omega's plotlines in particular, and just all-around love the show. They have one of my FAVORITE animation art styles, also its star wars so c'mon, and the quality of voice acting, the script, the balance of very serious mature stories somehow presented as a kids show the whole family can watch and enjoy, and the phenomenal attebtion to detail in a deceptively simple format.
Just look at all those microexpressions, not just on tbe human characters or even other sentient lifeforms; watch the first episode of Talrs of the Jedi and see how mu h tiny nuanced detail went into animaying the expressions on the Big Kitty's face, a creature not presented as a "sentient" race but a wild animal
I really think I'm as obsessed with Crosshair as I am because i read so much of what he is thinking from his expressive body language. Im wired to notice the tiny things, and he speaks almost exclusively in them.
✨TBB Finale Countdown Day 4✨
So stoked for the finale episodes on Wednesday I can't wait so to harness my excited/anxious energy I'm posting and answer a TBB/Star Wars related question each day - would love if other people joined in/interacted!!! (positive interactions only! no bashing, only loving!)
Day 4: How were you introduced to TBB??
I had like a two-part introduction to TBB because the The Clone Wars S7E1 arc was the first time I'd watched TCW, and I was at my brother's place hanging out SO confused about this show I was watching. So didn't think much of it.
Cut to a month later when I finished binging all of TCW (surprise surprise, I was HOOKED) and got to S7 again. Then those 4 walked off the ship and I was SMACKED with deja vu because that was the scene that played at my brother's place and it all came back to me. It literally took just Hunter finishing their introductions for me to go "ah yes, my newest collection of brain healers. I'm gonna keep these ones"

Neato idea i had and had to spontaneously draw. I wanted to show off this sort of state of disregard Ico is in, but in a way that a rock would be. As much as he used to avoid getting moss and sprouts all over him, nowdays he can't really bother with removing them. That caused one of the sprouts to get so grown into him, that if he wanted to remove it it would be quite painful to say the least.

this event has solidified the fact that diluc is genuinely caring and affectionate towards others despite not physically showing it.
first exhibit is his attitude towards traveler. not only does he meet the traveler's teasing with his own playfulness, but if you somehow can't make his potion the first try and have to use a second cycle, he quite literally: apologizes for adding more pressure, tells traveler he understands how much work it is, and then encourages them to try again, that he believes in them, and that he'll happily wait until they're satisified with the results for his order. word for word says "i believe in you." and then when it's complete, he praises them for their hard work and commends their skill
second exhibit is the potion itself. diluc, for all his grumping and huffing, genuinely does care for others. he quite literally comes up with the idea to use our potion not only in drinks but also infused in candles and fragrances. he had already wanted it to be used for drinks, but with the potent and the effects it had on him, diluc is now going out of his way to supply this anxiety relieving potion for others in other methods so they can relax and have a moment to breathe.
so not only is diluc protecting the people at night so they sleep safely, but now he's providing another form of relaxation so they're not overworked and can enjoy life instead of stressing. yes, i know he harps on the knights and kaeya (kaeya being a personal headcanon i have), but at the end of the day, under that mask of his, he cares so much and so deeply for others, even with his complex feelings.
long story short, diluc is a sweetheart and canon continues to prove me right every time
i've been meaning to address this and i will add this to my rules if i ever remember, but : ( under the cut )
i will no longer be listening to any "he said / she said" or any sort of "warnings" about people in the roleplay community. i dealt with enough of it last year, and a lot of those "warnings" turned out to be lies, cherry picked "evidence" and other forms of misinformation. so unless there are active, actual crimes like literal abuse + such with real evidence not taken out of context, i will not be listening to those "warnings."
i, believe it or not, am a grown adult and am capable of making my own decisions and gaining my own opinion of other people. i am tired of having my hand held and being influenced or pressured to block people, especially over lies.
Yuriy/Tala and Boris/Bryan had a very tragic backstory, but at the same time not so far from the reality some kids has to live.
I wish we knew more about what happened to them and the rest of the boys before and after the Abbey.

Aw thanks, that's so nice! <3 I was blown away by the number of reactions and comments on those comics tbh, I always love love reading all the comments and tags, it makes my day (.... even people joking about the belos jar....... 😔/j) I do have a few different scenarios in mind! All in my little notepad. Some are shorter types of jokes and maybe some bigger ones, but I don't promise anything before it's done, so you'll have to stay tuned! I'm also open to asks if anyone has a funny scenario they'd have in mind, it's always cool to hear! Interacting with people like that is the best part of Tumblr ngl
