One of the biggest disappointments of 2020 for me was failing Inktober for the first time since 2013. I even did most of my pictures at half size to make it easier, but I was so worn out by day 8 that I had to give up. I thought it would be nice to post the ones I did finish before the end of the year.
I marked out all the pages in my sketchbook at the start, so I’ll try to finish the rest before next October.

Here I am, frantically posting the rest of Inktober 2020 before Inktober 2021 starts!
I’ve done Inktober every year since 2013, so I was quite upset that I couldn’t finish it in 2020. I kept trying for the whole month, but I only managed a few sketches. If you squint you can see there are two dates on some of these - those are the ones that were at least sketched on the right day, the others were backfilled months later.
I’m going to try again this year, so hold your thumbs for me!

Another BTS art challenge! J-hope's birthday was in February, so my pal Sammy talked me into trying to draw his hands every day for the month. (Arguably this is my own fault, because I mentioned a while ago that he has my favourite kind of hands to draw.) Some days I had time to do a little portrait as well, I think the Glass Animals one is my favourite.
Incidentally I thought we were going to post these together on twitter like we did with 3minJimin, but Sammy never posted hers! She left me completely exposed!

Last year I drew my pal Sammy a birthday card based on her favourite BTS gif.
I know we all hate the way twitter turns gifs into tiny videos but it was really useful for this because I could pause it.

Cold weather, hot food.

Inktober 2022 Day 3: Rotring isographs
This was the point where I caught a horrible cold, and doing two art challenges at once was a real struggle. I actually had to use white ink to make a correction on this one (see if you can spot where) which I almost never do.
You might think this looks a bit involved for an ill person. The shading did take forever, but the important part is I didn't have to think very hard while drawing it.

Empty head.

Inktober 2022 Day 5: Rotring Isographs and grey pens
I did a version of this picture a couple of years ago but was too scared to put the grey on it.
