i think that if thomas the tank engine met rusty starlight express, this is what he’d say to him
“alright crusty, before you even consider THINKING about pulling annie and clarabel, i want you to a few things for me, alright? 1. i want you to take that hideous pointy boo-boo off your front and have it replaced with some nice buffers like me, 2. get a headlamp that’s not so big that it has its own gravitational pull because that thing on your head is the size of an entire meteor. where'd you get it, the chicxulub crater because i wouldn't be surprised if that was the asteroid that killed the dinosuars. and 3, most importantly: go to the works and just be rebuilt because like your geriatric looking ass is not gonna be giving my coaches tetanus today ok? also you look like an giant tissue box that was put in a rock tumbling machine, and i quite like looking at engines that don’t look like they came straight out of a year 10’s geometry textbook so while you’re at it just have them give you a new shape too, you understand? any questions? ok cool now go.”
