I wish postcards were cool again. Handwritten letters, with scribbles and small doodles at the corner of the paper. Wax-sealed old envelopes. Possibly some dried flowers and old photographs inside.
These small and outdated but still meaningful details...sometimes it takes so little to show someone that you care. Beyond all the messaging apps and the selfies we share.
So many friendships have lost their taste because of these.
Technology has improved a lot, but sometimes going back in time would bring that lost taste back, because there isn't a better thing than holding a letter or postcard in your hands, saving it year after year, more than a message that gets lost in the abyss of the internet.
I know this isn't very grown up of me hehehe shut up. My heads been through enough trauma that I've reverted in time lmfao

My Own Worst Enemy
Every day some part of me wishes I could go back in a time machine or something. Not just to the day that I met him, but long before that - maybe to the age of 8 or 9.
If I changed some decisions, maybe my self worth would have been healthy when I met him. Maybe his smooth-talking wouldn’t have hooked and dragged me in. Maybe I would have felt like I deserved more that a boy who told me I was pretty but made me feel unbalanced all the time.
Perhaps then I’d be sitting here working confidently and not steeping in self doubt.
