Made this for my WOL for price and I really love how it turned out, I had to rush a bit but the lineart is some of the best I've ever done and I love it. While it is july now happy pride anyway, and remember you are loved, and deserve to be loved.

So, I have collected my favorite quotes of the Warrior of Light into one poorly made collage.

I'm not really sure why I took the time to do this, but now I'm absolutely sure that WoL is the dumbest and cheekiest genius in Eorzea, and I love them.

I finished Dawntrail last night, & I know it hasn't been out long, so I wanted to get these thoughts out now. Spoilers under the cut.

The entire time that I was playing through Alexandria, I was thinking about Myste, our darling little boy that wanted to help people. I was thinking about how similar the situation with Myste & Sphene were, of course what Sphene is doing is on a much MUCH larger scale, but still. Both of them wanted a world where people don't have to suffer loss, or pain, or grief, they love people so much. They also both use memories to bring the dead back, though Sphene does so by holding the person's memories of life, while Myste uses the memories of their loved ones.

I personally couldn't get my character to become emotionally attached to most of the endless, not completely. He wanted to help them let go, to finally sleep & rest, but he did not grieve for them, he did not feel guilty about their erasure. Because he's done this, maybe not with his own hands, but a part of him has done this process before, he knows how this goes, that it isn't more than a dream, unrealistic. He snapped at Sphene in one scene due to this headspace, as I imagine he's upset she didn't realize how pointless this endeavor is like he had. Though, then maybe she didn't have anyone left close to her to stop her anymore, how lonely she must have been, trying to protect everyone.

Raven secondary ability is a form of advanced empathy. A gut-feeling when encountering and interacting with people. A whisper at the back of his head. Who're good people and who are not. Who could change, and who couldn't. Who lie and who tell the truth. Half-truth are the ones who trip him up, and why he is wary of those who use them. Because an half-truth said without intent to harm or malice can still be a problem. Why he was wary of the Exarch, by example.

An OC Question for you all in these trying times.

The Echo is kind of hazily defined in-game, but it seems that, while it gives everyone the ability to look into the past, several characters have slightly variant versions that manifest in other ways (Krile can track an individual's aether signature, Fordola, through tampering, has a level of short-term precognition through sensing subtle changes in people's aether, Mikoto can see into the future the way others can see into the past, etc.) So, if your WoL/OC had some sort of secondary skill or ability granted by the echo, what would it be?

make sure you keep your warrior of light in an area with dungeons and treasure vaults so they’re enriched by their environment. if you can’t make small areas to hide treasure for your wol to find, you should reconsider getting a wol. do NOT let them into the universe! wols are natural predators of gods and in several areas they’ve already hunted the god population to extinction

Honestly, I do really appreciate the way Ishikawa-San writes her stories. Regardless of who we may be as WoL, we have so many opitions of being a jerk. I dig.
