my gf requested for me to post my Hawkeye hewdcanons but for some odd reason it didn’t post so I’m re writing it again!!
MY HAWKEYE HEADCANONS
Kate HCs: very clumsy, loves spinning in the spinning stools, dyslexic, grows old and adopts a bunch of shelter dogs ( sadly we both know that won’t happen ), loves building Lego sets, has an obsession with dinosaurs, very clingy..she will blow up your phone the second she wants any sort of attention, hates having things unorganized, big Taylor swift fan. Will get Clint to kill the spider in her house because she is too scared.
Clint HCs: once mistaken luckys dog food as nestquick chocolate cereal and ate it, avoids drinking, gets easily distracted, addicted to watching instagram reels, enjoys logic puzzles, falls asleep wherever, has a certain side of the bed he likes to sleep on or else he won’t be able to fall asleep, doesn’t look twice before crossing the street and probably almost got hit by a car.
Yelena HCs: terrible at doing just dance but loves it anyways and always forces Kate to do it with her, will open up to you about the red room once she is comfortable and can trust you, doesn’t get jealous but if she was she would threaten them with a kitchen knife, keeps her Mac n cheese with hot sauce in the fridge that has a sticky note that says DO NOT TOUCH, loves kids but keeps her distance from them until they warm up to her, wouldn’t admit it but she enjoys kid cartoons, made imaginary friends due to the red room, likes to mock Kate’s American accent.
Anddd that’s all, they aren’t great but…!! :3

I've heard she's aroace in the comics? Queen. Hopefully it'll actually translate over into the MCU, but given the MCU's treatment of a lot of their characters over the years, I just hope they don't make too much of a mess with whatever they do
A favorite moment: when Natasha asks her what she wants to do with her future (settling down, etc) and she says she wants a dog
Also I love the concept of there being an aroace Widow. She also reminds me a lot of my own little sister, who is ace. Iconic, really

My take on Alexei and Melina as parents
ok, this is probably gonna be a rant so i’m sorry but anyway
I’ve seen SO many people calling them the big baddies or saying ‘fuck them’ but man, that’s not it. SURE, they should never have allowed Dreykov to get the girls but THINK about it.
Melina said she had gone through the Red Room at least 4 times BEFORE Natasha was even born, imagine how fucked up her head must be? She never learned how to love, she thought her role was to obey, to serve, to please. She even says to Natasha that she was born inside a cage and that was the only way she knew how to live. However, once she saw that helping Dreykow hurt her daughters (not specifically Natasha since she knew she managed to escape), the only thing (besides, probably her not so fake husband) she ever loved in her life she was bold enough to FINALLY act on it and rebel against it. I’d also like to say that when Alexei told them they HAD to leave she expressed she didn’t wanted to, Melina just wasn’t brave enough back then but damn, did she loved her little girls.

HEAR ME OUT before judging!
We don’t get much of his backstory, what we know is that he was an idealist and that Dreykov sold this ideology for him and then locked him up for no apparent reason, YES he shouldn’t have sold two little innocent girls to and I quote “complete a misson” but I also don’t think Melina EVER told him what the Red Room was like, she’s not the chattiest or the most vulnerable person in the world. He claimed so much he was pissed about being undercover but he was just as sorry as Melina about leaving, when she says “I don’t wanna go” he says “don’t say that” as in: don’t make me wanna stay too. I know he seemed self absorbed but that was his way to take the focus out of getting “soft” and falling for this family, because wanting this family would mean he wouldn’t complete his mission. He could have let them take both Nat & Yelena away without talking to them, but he told them they’d be fine even tho they wouldn’t, after 20 years he still remembered Yelena’s favorite song, he still knew what they were up to. He failed them bad and he knew it and regretted but admitting he was wrong and failed was bullshit since there’s no such a thing as failure to a russian super soldier.
Both Alexei and Melina knew their love for their ‘fake family’ was real, even the ultimate asshole of assholes can’t help but smile when a little kid calls you “mom” or “dad”, fake it until you make it is fucking real. They just didn’t wanted to word it out, because the more real the more it’d hurt, but to them Natasha and Yelena were their daughters, “their girls” and that was their family. Again, i’m NOT excusing them or what they did, i’m just saying that they’re not the ones we should be targeting.
Anyways, sorry if that’s too long or if there’s any misspellings i’m tiredddd

You were asleep when Jarvis told you that you were needed in Fury's office.When you got there he said " Y/n I need you to go on a mission undercover " you were confused on why you had to go as you weren't the only super soldier on the team "Sir why do I have to go why can't Steve or Bucky go"you said "You are a much better actor when it comes to this Steve and Bucky would blow their cover" so you agreed to do the mission" How long will I be on this mission" you asked "I don't know, but you can't tell anyone especially Yelena"."When do I leave" " In an hour" so you went and got ready without saying goodbye to Yelena.
You boarded the quinjet and left the only people who knew about this mission were you and Fury.
Yelena had woken up about an half an hour after you left and went down stairs to find you"Has anyone seen Y/n they wasn't in the room when I woke up" yelena asked "I haven't seen or heard from them this morning " said natasha and everyone else said they hadn't seen or heard from you either.

i really liked her in the black widow movie and i can’t wait to see what her character does next. i’m very excited to see more of her!!
