misadventures of a queer disabled DID system

No, there are not 69 of us but we are hiding in a trenchcoat.. medically recognised adult DID system studying to become a clinical psych. We are aware we make mistakes, we know we make mistakes, we're open to kind discussion!!!! πŸ‡³πŸ‡ΏπŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆπŸ³οΈβ€βš§οΈ Please remember, there is a person behind almost every post on the internet, including syscourse. Be kind.

Asking The System Whether They Want To Use Parts Language (each Alter Is Part Of A Greater Whole), Or

Asking the system whether they want to use parts language (each alter is part of a greater whole), or person language (we're multiple people sharing a body) is always so funny because this happens

fronter, talking to someone else: yeah, we're all part of a greater whole, don't worry, we're all the same person :)

alter: [screams as if the devil just bit their earlobe] how dare you!!?!??!?! I'm a person!! aND I'M NOTHING LIKE YOU

vs

fronter, talking to someone else: so it's like- we're all individuals- sharing a body, and we all have names and feelings and-

alter A: . . . what are feelings?

alter B: ??? what is a name . . . . ?????

alter C: wdym I'm sharing a body with these imbeciles, ew

alter D: ..aren't we parts of a greater whole, cus the brain split to deal with traum-

alter C: shut up, Jessica.

I don't think healthy people realize how for chronically ill people getting a diagnosis isn't sad or even disappointing for us, it's a relief and a vindication. So many people with chronic illnesses take many years to get diagnosed, and are told that 'it's just anxiety/your period/psychological' or that we're exaggerating or that everyone experiences that, so for us getting a diagnosis is being told that we weren't faking it and that this wasn't normal and it's also finally knowing what exactly is going on in our bodies.

I think many healthy people think of it as if it were them being told they have this lifelong debilitating illness, and they would feel awful because they are going from perfectly healthy to disabled, but they don't fully realize that we already have all the symptoms and impacts of said chronic illness and that we are just finally finding out the name, and that knowing what it is means that we have access to more treatments and more knowledge as to what we can to do alleviate our symptoms.

Hi Sharing This Because My Friend Who Goes Through Chronic Pain Told Me To Use This As A Reference And

hi sharing this because my friend who goes through chronic pain told me to use this as a reference and holy shit i just didn't realize that what i am going through is not only not normal it's also like pretty fucking bad, every day i am dealing with at least 6 but there are flare up days when i experience symptom of the tier 9.

I felt like a massive fucking liar and drama queen for the longest time but sometimes i straight up have days where i can't move and i felt like a lazy bastard.

In the photo there is the twilight of my little pony human version she is next to her pony version as a reference. The pony is an alicorn with wings and a horn, she has purple skin, pink stars on her hips as a cutie mark, mane and tail with blue, pink and purple highlights
In the human version, she is a girl with brown skin, with a high, pointed down nose. Her eyes are purple and her hair is dark blue with a pink and purple streak in the bangs and at the back that run the length of it, she wears lilac crutches that match her lilac blouse with stars and tiny laces on the bust. Along with this, a dark blue skirt is worn with a golden belt full of sparkles and chains. On top she wears a pink cardigan made of light transparent fabric with golden sparkles. and finally, she wears dark pink Mary Jane shoes.

sorry if the alt text isn't good English isn't my first lenguaje

Silly drawing that I never finished but I still like :)

Yes I do have the HC that twilight has fibromyalgia! Like girl she is literally all purple!!!

Every alter's intro ever is either: "My name is Steve, I go by he/him. I take care of the body and I like videogames", or something like this:
