Sorry! We all forgot to tell you folks. Yes tour Glinda is taller than her Elphie. Yes it is adorable. Yes it was so funny and cute that during what is this feeling it’s Elphaba who actually has to look up this time.

Tall Glinda is very much a Gremlin who’s also a over protective girlfriend and can be a soft lovable person who wants cuddles from her short girlfriend but the second anyone insults her girlfriend she will throw shoes that are on fire at them whilst chasing them at record breaking speeds.

It’s nice to have a tall Glinda for a change

[Glinda walks in her and Elphaba’s dorm soaking wet]

Elphaba looking up and putting her book down: Sigh Why are you soaked in water Glinda?

Glinda: I fell into the lake.

Elphaba: And why did you fall into the lake?

Glinda mumbling: I dropped something into the lake..

Elphaba: I didn’t quite hear you!

Glinda: I DROPPED YOUR GLASSES IN THE LAKE!

Elphaba: What- my glasses? Glin, my glasses are on me.

Elphaba: . . .

Elphaba: GLIN WHO’S GLASSES DID YOU STEAL?!

Glinda: I DON’T KNOW! I THOUGHT THEY WERE YOURS!

[Meanwhile in Dr. Dilamond’s classroom]

Dr. Dillamond: [Runs into a wall looking for his glasses]

Elphaba walking out the door: Bye Glin, love you. I’m gonna go burn your favorite shoe store down.

Glinda distracted: Ok have fun Elphie

[Elphaba leaves and Glinda sits there for 5 seconds processing what she had just heard and runs out the door after Elphaba]

[Ten minutes later]

Fyerio: [Walking down the street in peace]

Elphaba: [Running down the street with Glinda chasing her]

Glinda: ELPHABA THROPP! DON’T YOU DARE BURN MY FAVORITE SHOE STORE DOWN!

Elphaba: YOU HAVE TO STOP GLINDA! THIS IS BECOMING A PROBLEM! YOU HAVE TOO MANY SHOES!

Elphaba: ALSO SWEET OZ HOW ARE YOU RUNNING SO FAST?! YOU’RE WEARING HEELS!

Fyerio: . . .

I can attest for this, I just saw the new wicked cast for the second national North American tour in Saint Louis and it was so gay and Olivia and Celia slayed on that stage. (I noticed the reaching out to eachother during defying gravity too, Elphaba also put her hand to heart too during this moment)

Okay I saw Wicked again and I’m reobsessed so anyway some of my favorite things from this performance and just in general

The first word of the show is good and the last word of the show is wicked and if that doesn’t sum up how well the symbolism hits idk what does

Watching NOMTW it really did just hit me all over again the themes of fate and destiny and the limitations society puts on us and the limitations we put on ourselves

Wicked is a tragedy in the truest sense! No matter what Elphaba does she will not win and she cannot change things! No matter what Glinda does she will lose Elphaba!

Glinda’s sad face in NOMTW, and also how she is surrounded by the Ozians but is still so alone. They’re all giving her so much space, she has to walk across the stage and reach out just to get them to look her in the eyes (she’s lost the only people who ever saw her as a person rather than a doll)

The first time Elphaba runs downstage and she’s grinning so wide and she has so much hope for herself and for the world

The silence while Elphaba is dancing alone at the Ozdust, but more importantly, the way the music starts all soft and quiet when Glinda starts dancing with her. It’s the most romantic tune in the first act, maybe in the entire show

The way that Glinda almost goes with her in Defying Gravity

The way Glinda reaches for Elphaba once she starts flying. Not caring at all that the guards and the Ozians and everyone else on stage can see. She’s just trying to reach her one last time

Glinda’s solo in Thank Goodness (Celia Hottenstein nails Glinda’s lower parts and she was an absolute dream especially in this song)

When Elphaba returns and Glinda walks into the room, the first thing she does is run into Elphaba’s arms. She’s horrified at the situation later but at that moment she doesn’t even notice anyone but Elphie

As Long As You’re Mine. Look Fiyero and Elphaba are Not It for me but the intensity of that song, the way the music slides into these dark little motifs, the harmonies. It’s so good

Glinda mourning Nessa when no one else is around

Elphaba blaming herself and Glinda immediately trying to comfort her even though they’re mad at each other

Idk if this is a normal thing and I’ve just never caught it before but when Fiyero was holding Glinda at gunpoint Elphaba was shaking her head, she looked so scared

Especially when she’s further back and the smoke is whirling around her and everything is purple and gold and it’s so sinister and her cape is flying around her and she is well and truly broken

I actually really love March of the Witch Hunters. It sounds sick af and it makes me imagine a world where the musical was closer to Maguire’s book and kept that super eerie, darkly violent vibe

(I feel the same way about when Fiyero is alone after ALAYM, and the music gets all intense and he’s running around the stage, holding up his lantern. idk those scenes hit a very specific vibe and I don’t quite know what it is but I like it)

Before For Good, when Elphaba started to tell Glinda to run, Glinda sobbed her name and it hit so hard

Have I mentioned the hand holding?

The way that they stand so still in For Good. So many songs have such insane movement to them, or even interludes between parts but For Good is just the two of them

(It’s such a love song)

Elphaba blew a kiss to Glinda and then pressed her hand over her heart when she hid her behind the curtain before the melting scene

Glinda’s sad face in NOMTW pt2

Again idk how common this is but before the lil For Good reprise Fiyero started to lead Elphaba away and she was about to take his hand but then Glinda started singing “who can say…” and Elphaba immediately turned away from him to go walk toward Glinda

Glinda: Elphie! I’m bored talk to me!

Elphaba: Alright, it’s cute that you’ve been blushing all day staring at me-

Glinda: Shut up!

Elphaba: But didn’t you just tell me to talk my sweet?

Glinda: . . .

Glinda: Hey Elphie, I’m gonna go take a nap. Wake me up in a hour alright?

Elphaba reading a book: Sure, sleep well Glin.

[One hour later]

Boq: Hey Elphaba, it’s been a hour, shouldn’t you like go wake Glinda up..?

Elphaba: Oh god heavens no! You don’t wake up Glinda.

Boq: What..?

Elphaba: No one. Wakes up. Glinda.

Elphaba: She’s even scarier when she’s tired-angry. [shivers] Plus she didn’t sleep much last night and doesn’t have anywhere to actually be.

Boq: . . .

[Elphaba walks into her and Glinda’s dorm and for some reason doesn’t see Glinda anywhere]

Elphaba: Odd.. She doesn’t like going outside anytime before 10 AM..

[Hears whimpering from the closet]

Elphaba: Sigh Glinda what are you doing in there? Did another one of your shoes break? [Opens the closest finding Glinda on the ground crying in a ball and sits down across from her]

Elphaba: What’s wrong my sweet?

Glinda: Loud! Too loud.. Every little sound hurts, I woke up this morning and it’s like every single little sound is played on a speaker in full volume right next to my ears! I can hear little footsteps like they’re fireworks! And it won’t stop!

Elphaba: Come here my sweet.. [Glinda scotches close to Elphaba and Elphaba holds her, Elphaba sees a pair of earmuffs on Glinda’s messy side of the closest and puts them on Glinda] I got you Glin.

Glinda: Why can’t I be normal? Why is this happening?!

Elphaba: You can’t be Normal, you’re Glinda Upland. As for why it’s happening, it’s because you’re overstimulated.

Glinda: Over.. what?

Elphaba: I’ll explain it to you later, more sound will make it hurt more. [Let’s Glinda cry and cling to her through the episode]

Elphaba: Hey Glin?

Glinda distracted playing with a small bouncy ball she found: Yeah Elphie?

Elphaba: Would you still love me if I committed arson?

Glinda: Of course Elphie! And haven’t you done it like 3 times already?

Elphaba: . . .

Elphaba: 4 times now.

Glinda dropping the little ball and staring at Elphaba in disbelief: ELPHABA THROPP! It is 1 AM! It is too late for this!

[Glinda working on some homework and getting progressively more frustrated the more she doesn’t get it]

Glinda whispering to herself: Come on!

Elphaba across their dorm room: [Raises a eyebrow]

[Glinda gets something wrong again]

Glinda losing it and standing up in anger: OH COME ON! Why do I have to be so bad at this?! I’m stupid! I’m stupid! I’m stupid!

[Elphaba silently stands up and walks super close to Glinda, their faces inches away from on another]

Elphaba angry: Say one more bad thing about yourself. I dare you.

Glinda: I-

Elphaba: How dare you insult my girlfriend! She is sweet! And smart! And kind! And tries her best! How dare you!

Glinda: Ok..

Elphaba: Now come here. [Opens her arms and Glinda hugs her]

Elphaba: You can come back to this later Ok? Stop being so hard on yourself. Once you get back to it, I’ll help you alright? Stop beating yourself up for little mistakes.

Glinda tearing up: Ok..

Glinda standing next to Elphaba having a mental breakdown internally and refusing to do anything about it: . . .

Elphaba: What is it Glin?

Glinda: [In pure silence sits on the ground and just clings onto Elphaba’s leg and starts crying]

Elphaba: Glin it’s 9 AM-

[Gilinda looks up at Elphaba with horror anxiety ridden eyes]

Elphaba: Sigh Ok Glin, do you want me to pick you up and take you back to our doorm?

Glinda: [Nods]

Elphaba: Ok.. [Proceeds to carry Glinda back to their dorm, while Glinda cries into Elphie’s shoulder until she drifts off]

Glinda: [Screams]

Elphaba: [Running into the room with her broom and shielding Glinda from the threat]

Elphaba: Are you ok?! Who’s attacking?!

Glinda: . . . Hehehe. No one! I just wanted attention! ☺️

Elphaba: . . . Of course you did.

Glinda walking into the room crying very quietly: e-elphie?

[Elphaba stands up right away, walking up to Glinda and hugging her]

Elphaba: What’s wrong my sweet?

Glinda: I got a paper cut.

Elphaba: . . .

Elphaba: That’s terrible. Do you need a bandage or something?

Glinda: No! I just wanna hug and cuddle. And you can’t escape because I’m hurt!

Elphaba: Of course..

Elphaba after a short pause: You cut your finger on purpose to trick me into cuddling you, didn’t you?

Glinda: Maybe! You’ll never know.

Glinda trying to interrogate Elphaba: Elphie how many cups of coffee have you had today?

Elphaba: I don’t know, how many hours did you sleep last night?

Glinda: . . .

Glinda: Touché. But I’ve got my eye on you. [Dramatically leaves the room walking backwards glaring at Elphaba]

Elphaba: Glinda are you alright?

Glinda shaking about to have a anxiety attack: Pssh who even is Glinda? Glinda? Not alright?

Elphaba: . . .

Elphaba: Glin..

Glinda: I’m f-fine Elphaba!

[Elphaba hugs Glinda]

[Glinda starts crying]

Glinda: I’m not fine..

Elphaba: And that’s absolutely alright.

Glinda running into the room: I’m so sorry I’m late! I broke down on the way here!

Elphaba: Is your car fixed now?

Glinda: What car?

Elphaba: . . .

Glinda: [Starts crying again]

Elphaba: You’re sick, your temperature is 103.9.

Glinda: If I was sick could I do this?! [Intently stares at Elphaba]

Elphaba: What are you doing right now Glinda?

Glinda, confused: Cartwheels. Am I not actually doing them?

Elphaba: . . .

Elphaba: No my sweet you are not..

Glinda: I’m in love with my roommate and I’m not even subtle she just doesn’t pick up on it.

Elphaba: She sounds like a moron.

Glinda: . . .

Glinda: She indeed is a moron..

If Gelphie raised a child:

Elphaba: I lost it.

Glinda: What?

Elphaba: The.. thing.

Glinda: If you’re talking about your hat Elphaba it’s in our closet.

Elphaba: No the- [Glinda turns around]

Elphaba: Oh, there it is.

Glinda holding a baby: you mean OUR CHILD?!

Glinda, Nervous: So uh, I wanted to ask you-

Elphaba: Oh FINALLY, you are proposing.

Glinda: What- How did you know?!

Elphaba: You dropped the ring six times during dinner.
