So I'm writing another campaign
This time its pirate themed and definitely not a rip-off of an anime I've never watched
If you're one of my players, don't read this because this will just be the nonsensical ramblings of a mad DM going insane over trying to shove random ideas together with a pinch of satire
Please ignore any spelling errors and enjoy the show
So there was this pirate dude
He old, he ded, and he had treasure. Pirates like treasure, right? Pirate players want treasure, right? Boom, player motivation.
But theres this other* pirate
The astrict gotcha, right? I'll explain in the "spoilers" section I guess lmao
So this dude isn't any normal pirate. He's a Warforged. And he somehow got fused to the mast of his ship. And is missing his arms and legs. And a lot of his memory. Bro even got wood where metal should be. His name is Stan (or Stanly or Stanford or S.T.A.N.). Stan want pirate treasure.
Player stuff
So theres a thingy I wanna put within each of my players' backstories: they each have the fraction of a magical unidentifiable crystal in their possession. It somehow got into their possession (to the players digression), and always somehow gets back into their possession.
They also somehow have a reason to join a random Pirate Captain that's looking for a crew. They could've heard from posters, job listings in taverns, word of mouth, etc. Said pirate captain is Stan.
I'd like for the players to start at level 2 or 3, tbd. I like the idea of them having some experience, and knowing enough of their craft to be comfortable exploring and adventuring.
ZA WARUDO
Sorry, I had to. Anyways, I used a free map making program to make a possibly prototype map for this world, yall should lmk if I should post it.
The known world is spots of land encompassed by water, encompassed by a long circular strip of land called "Giant's Path". No one goes past it, due to rumors and myths. Only few are brave to go past the Giant's path, and there are no existing maps or documentation of what lies past.
Spoilers and BBEG stuff
I hope no one reading this will eventually be a player, because this shit is wild and I'd rather see your reaction at the table.
So predictably, Stan is the old dead pirate. Do you wanna know how he ended up like that?
Its wild.
Are you sure you wanna know?
Ok, but I warned you, this is some of the weirdest writing I've done.
Death. Literally Death.
You ever see the new Puss in Boots movie? The one where he wants that wishing star? Yeah, that. Death gets pissed at virtually imortal mortal, so Death wants to punish said mortal.
Death succeeded in this campaign, hiding away Stan's treasure, and binding him to his ship. The idea is that Stan was an untrustworthy and arrogant pirate who would always betray anyone who trusted him, so Death split up his Battery Gem thingy between random people to force Stan to work with people. Death believes Stan can't work with others, so he even made it a little easier by making the gem the key to wherever the treasure is held.
I'm still in the process of writing this, and I'd love tips and ideas! I love writing campaigns, and I love running them more, especially if my players enjoy them. I want to make this as enjoyable as possible, so let me know if I should change anything!
▪︎this is planned for newer players, and maybe some players with a bit of experience
EDIT: I've realized that I made a post about an earlier draft of this campaign, so... go check that out if you wanna lmao
I was playing Gartic Phone with my family, and something with south park came up. I made a mistake with the bucket tool, and this miracle has come of it

13 out if the 17 people who are following me are nsfw bot accounts
Wtf
I have a new campaign idea and none of my players have Tumblr so ima rant about it here
OK SO
The players will all have originated from an orphanage, run by a retired Warforged. They all got adopted into their own families and lived their lives up untill early adulthood.
They all get their own letters from the Warforged, calling them back to the home they were all somewhat familiar with. The Warforged greets them oh his deathbed, telling them all a secret he had kept for his entire life.
This Warforged was a world-renowned pirate, a robot who would steal, cheat, and kill, but had his own set of morals that is followed. One day, the pirate dissapeared. This turns out to be because he wanted to take care of lost and abandoned children that he found.
On his deathbed, the Warforged explains that he had hidden all of his treasure, and left it for them to find. Many pirates have attempted to find the treasure, but they all lack ond thing: the key. This key is something special, the Warforged gem heart.
He gives up his life to the children he cared for to give them his key. The party now sets off to find the treasure, making allies and enemies along the way.
This is very loosely based off of One Piece and other media that I've liked the ideas of. Please give me any advice and criticisms you can!! Thanks for reading!!
Being cupioromantic is like being lactose intolerant and wanting to eat icecream
Just a vent
I feel like I'm "the black cat" when it comes to friendship. Something always goes wrong within the first few months I become a friend with someone. Something in their life goes wrong, a relationship they're in goes wrong, something. I always seem to carry bad luck and pass it on to everyone I become friends with.
Just last month, I became friends with someone. Now, it seems like they're having relationship troubles. I get on call with them every so often, and they're also on call with their s/o. The s/o seems to have gotten more distant from them since I became friends with them.
I just carry bad luck it seems.
Update on my SBR inspired campaign (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 7 spoilers)
I took as much advice as I could, and my players love it!
I've got horses, but I decided to not let the players use them in battle.
The corpse parts are known as "The Artifacts of Old" but no one shows what the artifacts are. Old was the original ruler of the country that this takes place in, but he gave up ruling to travel. He was never seen after a serten date, and his body was never found. The race is ment to reflect the path he was believed to have taken across the country.
I could give updates about what the players do each session, the third just happened yesterday! I'd be happy to share if y'all want, and I'll also take suggestions on what I could do for the campaign!
Also I've got someone who is the Diego Brando, all mysterious and stuff lol
Finally, those asshat executives realize that they fucked up
It only took them 2 seasons and a cancelation to realize they fucked up

What if all Hamon users share Hermit Purple or some variation of it?
Forgive me if someone's come up with this idea before
So the only Hamon users that we know have stands is Joseph and Jonathan's body, which also has some variation of HP, so what if the share it like (SBR SPOILERS) spin users share ball breaker?
I feel super smart for coming up with this idea but also stupid for not realizing it before
I know that DIO was originally ment to have every stand but Araki changed that idea early on - which is why we see DIO using some version of HP - but that was changed to be Jonathan's body's stand
Y'all know that crying chopper meme? Yeah, I made one

Hey everyone!! We're now open for name and neopronoun suggestions for anyone who'd like to use them, including using them for fictional characters! :3 just send me an ask and ill give you some help

Hey! In response to your Iron Cube Race campaign, first of all that’s super cool and good luck! And secondly, if you include horses, the players can make attacks from horseback as they normally would, they do have extra movement based on the horses speed, & they can use their action to charge with the horse and do a hoof/trample attack I believe! Players won’t want to cast spells like thunderclap because that will affect the horse and they could lose control of the mount. They’ll be making lots of animal handling checks and so on. It’s a really cool feature if you choose to include the horses! Have fun!
Disclaimer: I’m not a DM!
Thanks for letting me know how they work!! Many people have told me that horces are a good idea, so I'm definitely going to use them!
I'm planning on creating a D&D campaign based off of Steel Ball Run. Any tips?
If ya don't know, SBR is the 7th part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. They race across the US, the 23rd president gets involved, etc etc.
I wanna make a campaign based off of that. Heres the ideas I've got so far (part 7 spoilers):
Instead of a prez looking for jesus' corpse, we've got a king looking for magical crystals that grant knowledge. I'm not sure what race he'd be yet.
It's a new country, similar to the US, but mainly desert. Good ol wild west style.
No horses, because I've got no idea how those dudes work in battle. It'll be a foot race with checkmarks.
No idea what the name would be, I was thinking of something like "iron cube race" as a funny parody name.
Any and all suggestions help! Thanks in advance to everyone wo read this far!
Edit/Update:
Thanks to everyone who left suggestions and ideas! I also asked on reddit, and I got a good amount of ideas and help as well.
I've decided to use horses! From all the suggestions and details, it's a good idea to have them.
Any ideas are still welcome!
Good ol Kakyoin egg
No hate toward the wife! Poor girl didn’t even get a name :(

If anyone wants to give tips, please do

Stand sounds are ear candy. They provide pure pleasure to my ears.

Need this now
Me friend made this, hopefully it helps someone out
New identity just dropped!
Hello everyone! This is Quin, and I believe I've just discovered a new MOGAI identity entirely separate from, but closely linked to, both gender and orientation.
What is it?
Exian
Exian is a term (adjective or noun) for someone who identifies with the term exia, as well as a term for things relating to exianism (the concept of exia).
Exia is separate from yet intrinsically linked to both gender and every kind of orientation. It essentially deals with the relations between different parts and states of our identity and consciousness. These states or identities are known as the 'ecstates,' and there are always at least two. They always include one LGBTQ+ identity along with at least one other ecstate, whether that be an LGBTQ+ identity, an emotion, a name, a color, or something else.
So, what does all this mean? Well, it basically means that an exian will only identify as certain things when in certain situations. For an example with two ecstates, maybe a hypothetical person only identifies as lesbian when they're feeling female, and identifies as straight when they're not. The 'ecstatic triggers' that would cause one to feel female can be anything, which means one does not necessarily have to identify as genderfluid or other similar identities to be exian. For an example with three ecstates, maybe a hypothetical person only feels nonbinary when they're feeling sad and the curtains in the room are red. This is very specific, and all three conditions must be met or they don't feel nonbinary. If all the conditions are right, they should predictably feel nonbinary.
A defining trait of exianism is that it always goes both ways; if you feel sad when you're gay, then you always feel gay when you're sad. This is part of what separates exians from enans (people who are not exians), along with the requirement that one of the ecstates must be a LGBTQ+ identity.

Here is the exian flag. From top to bottom the stripes are:
Green
Represents the interconnected qualities of nature.
White
Represents neutrality and fluidity; not feeling like any particular ecstate or feeling between them.
Violet-red
Represents unity and love for the community.
Black
Represents feeling like more than two ecstates at once; also represents disconnection from other LGBTQ+ identities.
Other interpretations of the flag are welcome, however!
Hopefully I explained this right lol-
Remember to stay hydrated and have a great day!
