Luck - Tumblr Posts
And again, on the eve of opening night for A Year with Frog and Toad, I find a second Frog and Toad related post, which, yet again, corresponds directly with a song from this show I’m in.
Either the number of Frog and Toad things I’m running across on tumblr tonight is a sign, or this is some kind of Baader-Meinhof phenomenon specific to being in a certain show... Is there a theatrical version of that? Or maybe Baader-Meinhof isn’t the right term because I didn’t just learn about Frog and Toad, but it’s like that thing where one suddenly sees a thing everywhere just when it’s relevant. Is it a different type of cognitive bias, perhaps? Does anyone know the correct term for being in a play and then seeing things relevant to that play just before the show opens?
Like, I haven’t noticed any Frog and Toad-related content since I joined tumblr in November and the night before we open, I see two things. It’s crazy. Well, I guess I’ll call it good luck?
But yeah, this one’s Frog’s solo. A very sweet little song.

i just think this is so important and i think this is the greatest life lesson you could learn in your childhood, or at any age (from Frog and Toad by Arnold Lobel)

THIS IS HAPPY BTS. REBLOG FOR GOOD LUCK AND A HAPPY FUTURE. DON’T MISS YOUR CHANCE.
A Charm For Luck:
I haven't used this spell myself but I thought someone out there might like to try it if they need a little more luck on their side.
Needed:
A silver piece of jewelry
Two white candles
Basil
Ground Cinnamon
Matches/lighter
A needle
To Conjure:
Upon each candle inscribe the following: Luck Always Finds Me
Create a circle using ground cinnamon and basil. Within this circle, place the piece of jewelry and the two candles.
Light the candles and say the following thrice: "Herbs of luck and herbs of lore, give me what I lacked before. Imbued is this charm of mine, bring me luck and make it fine."
Allow the candles to burn themselves out then toss them. Sweep up the herbs and toss them into the wind once finished.
Life Tip #62
“reblog for good luck” posts are fantastic and they give the same kind of giddy excitement that you had when you were a kid throwing a penny in a wishing well but friendly reminder that even when you reblog something and something really good happens, luck is only 5% and every single good decision you’ve made up until that point constituted the other 95%.
good things happening to you isn’t just luck. the universe decided you deserved it.
Hahahaha, then go ahead and make it canon, angst is something so magnificent when correctly built.
Hope you have fun, but please make it better, the bar is low
waiting.
odysseus gets sent to the underworld after his death, only telemachus and penelope were both made immortal in the telegony so now HE'S the one waiting for them.
he's eternally looking to the edges of elysium, just waiting for their figures to come across the horizon and being able to hold them in his arms again.
The Wilted End

Bad luck, they say, Has many causes But one sin, they say, Is a domino stack to doom
The short end, they say, Is not really all that bad Yet bad luck, they say, can be the destructor of entire worlds
What hypocrites they are! I wonder With all their complaining And all their claiming
They all know that the path Bends onto the Wilted End But never do they reveal The path to get there
They all talk endlessly Of the horrors of the Wilted End Yet they all overlook The thoroughfare that passes there.
The odd young man With a little sparkle in his eyes Stumbled upon there And lost his wares
He did break down, Did lose his footing Yet as he went on, He found his place
The people all complained About the short end Yet they did not realize The treasure that lies beyond its doom
The young, lost man Finally passed the Wilted End And what did he find? A fortune, a treasure- toward the foot end!
Whatever you may need at a given moment appears in your pocket, could be money, a ticket, a condom… but today, when you were at the grocery store, instead of the money you where expecting you got a gun.
Could always use more luck
so I got into grad school today with my shitty 2.8 gpa and the moral of the story is reblog those good luck posts for the love of god
