Requested - Yes - Daughter reader for Jared Padalecki were she comes out to him. Fluff and angst.
Your dad was finally back home from filming and you knew now was the best time to tell him. Of course you’d thought about telling him a number of ways, in fact you’d written out several text to him that had all ended up being erased, you’d facetimed and called him with the intent of telling him but backed out every time.
No more, you told yourself, this was it.
You’d heard from your dad and Uncle Jensen that they had landed safely in Texas and were making their way home. You had been prepping yourself for this moment for weeks, knowing you had to tell him. You knew he was fine with fans that came out to him from conventions and things like that but this was a bit different than a fan coming out to him, this was his daughter.
What if he hated you? What if he kicked you out and never wanted to see you again?
You’d always been pretty close with your dad. For a long time before he met Genevive it was just you and him, sure you’d been jealous of Gen at first but she was always caring and loving towards you, treating you like one of her own when she didn’t need too. You didn’t want to come out and ruin the family and what if word got out that Jared Padalecki’s daughter was gay, could it affect his career? All sorts of illogical questions had plagued you for as long as you had known.
Countless nights had seen you sobbing silently as you let your head fill with worst case scenarios, hardly ever letting yourself think of the best case for fear of rejection. It hurt you to hide such a huge part of yourself from your dad but the thought of him turning you away was so much worse.
Your heart thumped madly against your chest as anxiety filled your bones when you heard the front door open and close.
Dad was home.

As much as Jared loved filming, he loved the breaks he got to spend time with his family. Often he felt guilty that he wasn’t around as much as he should be, the kids understood even though most of them were young, he knew you understood too but he loved when you ame on set with him.
Jared had of course notice your distant lately, through text and calls, and he planned to talk to you about it. If he could help he would, he’d never want you or anyone of his family members to feel like they were alone in the world. He greeted Genevive and the kids, noticing straight away that you hadn’t come downstairs. He shrugged it off, thinking there was a possibility that you could have headphones or were taking a nap. Deep down he knew there was something wrong though.
He made his way up the stairs, placing his bag him his and Gen’s room before making his way over to yours. He knocked on the door, pushing it open when he didn’t receive an answer and stopped as he saw you sat on the floor, quiet sobs escaping you as your face rested on your knees.
Quickly, he snapped out of the shock and made his way over to you. He scooped you up and placed you in his lap, holding you tight and rocking you gently as though you were still a small child.
“Hey, baby girl, shush, that’s okay, take your time, you’re fine Y/N.” Jared whispered softly against your hair.

You had every intention of walking out of the room and telling your dad that your gay, you really did. Then your thoughts got the better of you and you couldn’t bring yourself to open the door. Before you knew it the tears were falling down your face and you could hardly breath.
It seemed to pass in a blur before you register you were being held against your dads chest, hearing the words he was whispering as he tried to get you calm.
“S-sorry!” You managed to sob, the word barely recognisable.
“Don’t be sorry, sweetheart. Everything’s going to be alright.” Jared reassured as he continued to keep up his steady stream of reassuring words.
Eventually, you managed to stop sobbing, though the tears were still pouring down your face no matter how many times your dad wiped at them.
“Sorry, you just got home.” You mumbled, pressing your face into his chest.
“Hey, none of that now, you hear me?” Though you knew he wasn’t expecting an answer you nodded anyway causing him to smile. “Darlin’, what happened?” He asked you, concern practically dripping from him.
You took a deep breath.
This really was it.
“I’m gay.” You managed to breath out, eyes screwed shut tightly as you refused to look at him.
“You’re gay? Wait that’s why you were so upset?” Jared asked, confusion clear in his tone.
“Didn’t want you to hate me.” You mumbled against his chest, eyes opening in shock as you heard him chuckle.
“Hate you?” He repeated. “Darlin’, I could never hate you, especially not for something like this! You know I’ll support you with anything, same goes for your brothers and sister. You being gay doesn’t make you any less of the Y/N Padalecki I know and love, trust me on this baby girl, this changes nothing. I know I speak for most everyone in this family on that. I love you so much.”
At this point you were sobbing again but this time it was tears of joy and relief pouring down your face.
“Thank you! I’m so sorry.” You sobbed.
“C’mon now, none of that. You’re my daughter no matter what and I’ll always support you.” He told you sincerely, kissing your head as he did.
In that moment, you knew you were so incredibly lucky to have a dad as supporting, loving and non judgemental as Jared Padalecki.

Prompts - ‘First second I saw you I couldn’t get over how beautiful you were.’
When you agreed to go out with the girls you thought it would be fun, you really did, but from the moment the first shot was downed the questions started.
“When are you and Jake going to get it on?”
“Seriously, call him. Now.”
“You like him, he likes you. Come on, Y/N.”
As much as you loved Amy, Rosa and Gina, you couldn’t take the constant hounding and ending up leaving early.
The three of them had known they had taken it too far this time but still stood by their actions, it was a nightmare seeing you and Jake pine for each other when you were both so obviously into each other.
It’s not that you denied your feelings for Jake either, you told them months ago but hoped they’d just forget about it and not make a big deal but apparently that was too much to ask. You and Jake worked together, worked well together, and you didn’t want to do anything to jeopardise that work relationship you two had. You were in sync with each other, able to communicate without talking make it easy to come up with fast, last minute change of plans and resulted in a win for the nine-nine.
Besides it’s not like he liked you back, no matter what Amy, Rosa and Gina said.

“Good morning squad. Tonight is the stake out for the Fisk drug bust. Boyle and Santiago you’ll be in the surveillance van, Diaz and Jeffords you’ll take the abandoned rooms and Y/L/N and Peralta you’ll take the roof. We’ll have a team ready to move on the command. Any problems?” Captain Holt asked during the briefing and you all murmured a no before heading back to work.
You took a seat at your desk and didn’t notice Amy until she cleared her throat.
“Hey Amy.” You greeted with a slightly forced smile. You weren’t mad at her over brining up your crush on Jake but it did grate on you.
“Hi. Listen, I just want to say we’re sorry. We just want you to be happy and think Jake will do that.” Amy told you as she took a seat next to your desk.
“I get it, Aimes, I really do but I just hate hearing about it constantly. Especially when I know he doesn’t feel the same way. We’re just friends” You said with a frown, picking up your pen and tapping it on the desk.
“You’re kidding? You seriously think he doesn’t like you? I thought you just didn’t want to risk anything affecting work but you don’t think he likes you? Y/N, You’re kidding! He looks at you like you’re his entire world.” Amy told you, sincerity so clear in her tone that it made you pause for a second before shaking your head.
“No, he doesn’t. You’re just reading too much into this because you want it to work out.” You said, trying to convince yourself rather than Amy.
“No,Y/N, I’m not. Ask anyone.” She said as she stood up, “Ask Hitchcock and Scully, even they see it.”
You managed to shake away what Amy had said to you, not very well admittedly, and get some work done. You managed to file three cases before you were interrupted again.
“Everything ok?” Jake asked causing you to look away from your work and at him. He was lounging in the chair next to your desk with his legs spread out in front of him.
“Yeah, why?” You asked with a smile.
“Saw you talking to Santiago earlier, you were tapping your pen which meant you were troubled. I tried to come save you but well Charles....” He told you, trailing off with a laugh.
“So no more,” You giggled. “But seriously I’m fine. Amy was attempting to girl talk and it was as good as you’d imagine.” You told him causing him to laugh again.
“So, you ready for tonight? I already have so many snack, it’s gonna be great.” He grinned at you making your heart fluttered.
“You do realise this is a stake out to arrest one of the deadliest drug rings, right?” You asked with a raised brow and a smirk.
“Sure, sure but who says we can’t have a good time?” He questioned, smiling brighter as he made you smile.
“Holt probably would but I can’t wait.” You told him causing him to cheer.
“See you tonight, Y/L/N/.” He smiled as he stood up and headed to his own desk to grab his jacket. “Want me to pick you up?”
“That’d be great, thanks.” God, Jake made you feel like you were a damn teenager all over again.
“No problem.” He waved to you and shouted a quick goodbye to the rest of the group before leaving the precinct.
You watched the close elevator doors, missing the way Gina and Rosa smirked at you.
-
-
-
“So many stairs.” Jake groaned and you copied the noise, panting as you leaned against the closed door.
“So many stairs.” You moaned back, seriously would it kill people to fix the elevators.
Once the two of you had caught your breath you made your way over to the walls ledge, pulling out walkie talkies, binoculars and Jake pulled out an impressive amount of snacks.
“Oh hey, you got my favourites.” You grinned as you snatched up the packet.
“Of course I did, I know how to treat a girl right.” Jake grinned before pausing and looking sheepish. You smiled at him shyly.
“Yeah you do.” You said softly, so softly he almost didn’t hear you.
It was no secret to anyone who knew Jake that he liked you. Actually the only person who didn’t know was you yourself. Everytime he tried to tell you he chickened out, like the time he invented you to his apartment and spent the night watching terribly cheesy movies and talking til you were cry laughing, or the time when he took you to dinner in that new fancy restaurant you wanted to go to and the two of you played dress up for the night in your fancy outfits. There were so many occasions were he wanted to tell you but he just couldn’t, it was like the words actually got lost in his throat and every night after he would go home hating himself for not confessing because if he had you could’ve been his.
“Everyone in positions?” Terry’s voice broke the silence. You both reached for the walkie talkie, blushing as you your hands touched.
“Sorry.” You both said at the same time, laughing, as Jake handed the walkie talkie to you.
“Yes Sarge.” You confirmed as did everyone else.
“Good, no sign yet. This could be a long night, squad.” Terry told you all. There were a chorus of groans but you couldn’t think of anywhere you’d rather be.
Two hours passed and the sun had long set, it was cold and there was no sign of Fisk.
Jake had been doing his best to keep both your spirits high though and the two of you were laughing at a story he had told.
You looked at Jake in confusion when he went silent suddenly, staring at you with wide eyes and a soft smile. A look you hadn’t seen on him before.
“Everything-” Before you could even finishing your question, Jake cut you off.
“God, you’re so beautiful.” He blurted out, surprise on both of your faces. “Sorry, I just mean-” Here he trailed off before shaking his head. “No, I do mean that. Y/N, you’re so beautiful. First second I saw you I couldn’t get over how beautiful you were and I’ve liked you for so long. I get if you don’t feel the same way but-” Jake didn’t get the chance to finish his sentence because you leaned across and closed the distance between the two of you.
The kiss was so much better than you had dreamed. Your lips slotted together perfectly, Jake’s hand cupping you cheek as yours played with his hair. The softness and slowness of it was perfect and you couldn’t help but smile which broke them kiss but that was okay because Jake was smiling back just as brightly.
“I’ve wanted to do that for so long.” Jake whispered as he leaned in for another quick but slow kiss.
“Me too.” You murmured, smiling softly.
“So does this mean…” Jake trailed off hopefully.
“Yeah, I think it does.” You agreed with a grin, laughing as Jake whooped.
The two of you sat next to each other, Jake’s arm coming to wrap around you when he saw you shivering from the cold.
“Hey, I know we’re in the middle of a case but I know a pretty romantic way to warm you up.” Jake grinned all of a sudden, not giving you chance to process what he had said before he was jumping up and pulling you with him.
“What’re you doing?” You asked, cursing him for moving away as you shivered some more, why couldn’t drug deals go down in nice, warm areas with heater.
You watched as he fiddled with his phone before you heard slow music coming from the speaker, grinning and rolling your eyes as you heard ‘Only You’ play.
“Do all guys think this song will make girls fall for them?” You laughed as did he.
“Baelfire said it worked.” He shrugged and then looked at you with a questioning look. “That was a-”
“Once Upon a Time reference, I know.” You grinned causing him to laugh louder.
“God, you’re so cool.” He said before clearing his throat and holding his hand out for you, “Can I have this dance?” He asked with a shy smile.
“I’d be honoured.” You giggled before taking his hand and the two of you were soon laughing over stepped toes as Jake guided you through the moves.
The two of you looked at each other, your feelings clear in your eyes, and wondered why you hadn’t confessed your feelings earlier.
“There’s no where else I’d rather be.” Jake told you quietly, not wanting to break the peaceful, romantic atmosphere that had settled on the roof.
“Me neither.” You agreed, enjoy the soft kiss that followed.
Really, why hadn’t you done this earlier?

Requested - Yes - Anon - Can I request 30 with Daryl please? Angsty but fluff and happy ending. They’re not together to begin with but they eventually get together. Can be set during any season.
Prompts - 30. “Be brave, and you’re gonna be fine”.
You hadn’t known the group for long, maybe a month or two, sometimes it’s hard to keep track of time. Daryl had been the one to find you, unarmed and two seconds away from becoming the chew toy of several walkers. He had taken them out with his arrows before coming to help you up.
You smiled at the memory of meeting the man. All gruff and rough, barking questions at you about who you were and why you were alone, if you were alone. You’d answered him honestly, you were Y/F/N Y/L/N and you had somehow gotten separated from your group, you couldn’t remember when but it had been a long time since you’d seen them. He was silent for a long moment before deciding he’d take you to Alexandria. The pair of you climbed onto his bike with you gripping his waist tightly, eyes screwed shut the entire time.
Since then Daryl had been the person you had taken most of a liking to, whilst you got along and were civil to other members of the group Daryl was the one you would seek out, the one who made you feel safe. It had taken some time for him to soften up to you, even now after getting to know each other he put up that gruff exterior when other people are around.
Now the two of you could often be found with the other, Daryl had taught you how to better use the camps weapons, he’d taught you how to track and was attempting to teach you how to use his crossbow. All in all, you were glad you had found Daryl even if it meant fending for yourself for a few months.
“Hey.” Daryl greeted as he came and sat next to you.
“Daryl, hi.” You smiled over at him, earning a half-attempted smile in return. “Everything ok?” You asked in concern.
“Just this Negan business.” He told you, picking at the blades of grass you were sat on, “We don’t have enough supplies.”
“Oh. Are you going?”
“Yeah but you ain’t.” Daryl told you firmly, not leaving any room for argument but you ignored his tone.
“Daryl-” You began but he quickly cut you off.
“Nah, you ain’t coming. I don’t trust this, the saviours” Daryl spat, “are gettin’ more dangerous and I ain’t risking you gettin’ hurt, I-I won’t. You’re gonna stay here, Y/N/N.” Daryl looked at you, stern gaze watching you but there was something else, something you couldn’t quite make out.
“If Rick says I can come, I will.” You fired back.
“Damn girl.” He groaned causing you to laugh slightly. “Y/N, just, I ain’t doin’ this to be an ass, if things go bad, I want you far, far away, you hear me?”
“Ok,” you began, watching as he relaxed a little clearly thinking you’d give in. “And what happens if things go bad and something happens to you?” You asked.
“Won’t matter, s’long as you’re safe, that’s all I give two craps about.” The honesty in his voice had your eyes widening.
“Daryl,” you breathed out but couldn’t bring yourself to say anything else.
“Just, please, promise me you’ll stay.” You let out a deep breath but once you saw how it was making Daryl feel, how serious he was, you agreed, you didn’t like it but he was going with Rick and the others.
You just hoped everything would work out.

You woke up in the middle of the night to find Daryl gone. This wasn’t the first time it had happened but for some reason panic filled you and you rushed outside.
“Michonne.” You called causing her to turn around. She wasn’t your biggest fan for some reason but you didn’t care right now. Something was wrong.
“Daryl’s gone. We’re going to bring him back.” She said gesturing to Rosita who looked bored but there was a look of dread underneath that.
“I’m coming as well.” You told her.
“No, you’re not. Wait here in case he comes back. You saw him, he was a mess and he’s out for revenge. If he comes back, he’ll need you.” She said and before you had the chance to argue back, Michonne was gone.
Part of you knew she was right, if he came back you were probably one of the few people beside Carol and Rick who could calm him down and considering those two where away, it could only be you. The other part of you who knew Daryl knew he wasn’t coming back, not until he did what he needed.
Decision made you snuck off, following the path Rosita and Michonne had taken.

You watched in horror for behind some trees and Rosita, Daryl, Michonne, Maggie, Glenn, Abraham, Rick, Carl, Sasha and Aaron were forced to their knees. Watched as Negan stepped forward with Lucille. There wasn’t anything you could do but watch in muted horror and fear.
You watched as Rick stared up at the man, something close to defeat in his eyes. It was disturbing to see that coming from a man like him.
“You’re kid right?” You heard Negan say, watched the grin play out on his face and you pleaded to anyone that would listen that Carl would make it out of this, that they’d all make it out.
You watched as Negan strolled in front of the group, bat pointing at each person.
When the bat landed on Daryl you felt your heart stop. Only letting out a breath as he moved away from Daryl.
You just about kept in your scream of horror as you watched Negan bring the bat down on Abraham. The tears fell from your face as you watched the continued blows until there was little left.
You watched as Negan gloated, tossing the bat around so blood flew off. You couldn’t blame Daryl, you honestly couldn’t, you would’ve done the same. Still it was with fear in your heart that you watched Daryl as stood up and punched Negan right in the face. You gasped but nobody heard, all too focused on Daryl.
You stood there as Daryl fought against the men trying to restrain him, tears flowing faster down your face. Your head already playing out scenarios of that damn bat being brought down of Daryl’s head.
Fear consumed you as you watched a man run forward, Daryl’s own crossbow pointed at his head. It took everything in you to keep your feet planted on the floor but you couldn’t look away.
You let out a quiet sob of relief as the bow was moved but it quickly turned into one of horror as Negan turned around swinging the bat down on Glenn, watching as Maggie sobbed.
There was a long period in which Negan left with Rick but you couldn’t revel yourself, there were too many saviours. All you wanted to do was take Daryl and leave, just hide away from this absolute mess. You tried to avoid looking at the bodies but your eyes drifted to them far too many times.
Finally, Negan came back, dumping Rick on the floor, letting out another speech.
“Dwight,” you heard Negan call, “load him up.” You followed the bat as Negan lifted it, sobbing when you saw it was pointed at Daryl.
He fought against him but he was exhausted, you all were and you knew Daryl would kill you for your next move, or Negan would, but you couldn’t let them take him, not Daryl.
“No!” You exclaimed as you rushed forward, knife in hand as you stabbed the saviour Negan had called in the shoulder.
“Y/N!” Daryl shouted from the floor where had been shoved. It was only moments before you found yourself in the hold of three saviours, knife pried out of your hand.
Negan laughed, making him way to stand in front of you and crouching so he was eye level.
“Well, well, well.” He continued laughing, “just where have you been hiding, little lady?”
“Take me.” You sobbed, looking past him and down at Daryl who had more than one gun pointed at his head. “Leave him alone, just, just take me. Please.” You flinched as Negan brushed his hand against your cheek to wipe away the tears, only for them to be replaced half a second later with more.
“Now that is a tempting offer darling.” He smirked, looking you up and down and what a sight you must have been. “But I want him.”
“No!” You screamed, thrashing against the saviours.
“Yes!” He yelled back, standing at full height and pointing the bloody bat in your face causing you to reel back as best you could in the others grip. “But because I’m so damn understanding, I’ll let you have a moment before I take him.” With that he gestured to the men and you were thrown down, landing roughly next to Daryl who quickly took you in his arms.
“The hell where you thinkin’?” He snapped at you but then shook his head. “Don’t matter. You ever do that again I’ll -” Daryl trailed of, eyes peering over you to the dead bodies.
“I’m sorry.” You sobbed, clutching at his shirt, “Please.”
“I know, darling, I know.” He said hugging you close. “You listen to me, now, you gotta be brave. Be brave, and you’re gonna be fine. You gotta remember what I taught ya and for God’s sake don’t get into any more trouble. You hear?” He asked, a few tears making their way down his face. You nodded with sobs wracking your body.
“C’mere.” He said before cupping your cheek. Gently he lowered his head, leaning forward to press an urgent kiss to your lips. You kissed back, not thinking this would be how your first kiss with Daryl went. You let out a shout of surprise as you were forcefully pulled up and away from Daryl and he was shoved in the back of a van.
“Don’t say I never did anything for you sweetheart.” Negan smirked as he pointed Lucille in your face again.
“Please.” You whispered as the saviours let you go causing you to fall to your knees. “Please.”
Negan ignored you as he turned to the rest of the group, crouching down in front of Rick.
“He’s got guts.” You heard him say and you couldn’t help but agree, hoping Daryl would cause Negan hell. “I like him. He’s mine now.” Hearing Negan say that caused you to pounce, well you tried to but Rosita saw it coming and dragged you down next to her. You thrashed and sobbed but she didn’t let go. Hearing him go on about how he’d cut pieces of Daryl caused your sobs to worsen, something you didn’t think possible.
Daryl had to watch you from the open van, not able to make a single move for fear of Negan pulling the bat out on you. He’d already done enough damage.
The saviours cleared out quickly, leaving a van, two dead bodies and a group of traumatised and sobbing people behind. You pushed away from Rosita, moving so you were a few paces away from everyone, crumbling behind a tree for the illusion of privacy. You rested your head on your knees as you sobbed.

It was a while since you would see Daryl again. You’d spent the first few days alternating between sobbing and staring blankly at wall. Then you decided you wanted revenge. Going after Negan wasn’t an option yet, it’d take a while to get Negan but the other saviours were fair game.
“Don’t.” Rick said as he watched you strut passed his house. He was sat on the porch stairs holding Judith close to him.
“Don’t what?” You asked, stopping in front of them.
“Whatever you’ve planned, don’t.” He warned.
“I wasn’t going to do anything. I’m going on a run, no need to give that bastard any more incentive to hurt people.” You snapped.
“You’re like him, you know?” Rick asked, not looking away from Judith.
“What Negan?” You asked in disgust.
“Daryl.” Rick smiled; it was a sad smile. “It’s how I knew what you were going to do before you did because he’d do the same damn thing.” He told you fondly.
“He took him, Rick. You saw what he did to Abraham, to Glenn! Imagine what he’d do to someone he wanted to torment, to torture. Glenn and Abrahams death will look quick and easy compared to what he is capable off. I’m getting him back.” Your eyes filled with tears but you refused to let them fall.
“You think I don’t want him back? I’ve known him for years, he’s my brother!” He exclaimed, the change in tone startling Judith. He paused to shush her before turning to you. “Trust me what you’re feeling for Negan, so am I, so is everyone.”
“Yet you’re all just willing to sit on your arses and accommodate Negan’s every God damn need!” You yelled.
“He’s got Daryl over us; we fuck up then Daryl pays. You don’t want that and neither do I. Remember what he told you; don’t get into trouble.” Rick reminded you like you didn’t reply those last words in your head continuously.
“So what? I sat around here with my thumb up my arse?” You snorted, moving to take a seat next to Rick, smiling as Judith reached for you.
“No, I’m saying we play Negan’s game for a while until we have a plan. A smart plan.” He told you, passing Judith over to you.
You suddenly felt exhausted every bit of fight had left you. With a sigh you rested your head on Rick’s shoulder causing him to smile sadly down at you before wrapping his arm around your shoulder and pulling you close.
“We’ll get him back, Y/N, I promise.” He swore, placing a kiss on top of your head.
“I know.” You told him. With or without his help you were getting Daryl back.

The next time you saw Daryl it was when Negan came to pick up his share of Alexandria’s supplies.
“Daryl’s here.” Rick told you causing you to look around but Rick stopped you, placing his hand on your upper arm. “No one is to talk to him, he said he’ll start cutting pieces off.” He told you regretfully, watching the tears fill your eyes. “I’m sorry, Y/N/N, I really am.”
“Fuck!” You exclaimed, kick the wall next to you.
You moved away from Rick, leaving him to deal with greedy saviours, and started looking for Daryl. The moment you saw him you gasped, trying not to cry. He looked terrible, drained, exhausted. It took everything in you not to run to him.
You waited until Negan entered the house before sneaking over.
“Daryl.” You breathed out causing his head to snap around to you before looking to the house Negan just entered and then back to you.
“Y/N/N.” He whispered sounding worse than he looked.
“What has he done to you?” You asked, walking up to him and cupping his cheek. You smiled sadly as he leaned into the embrace.
“Nothin’ darlin’, don’t you be worrying. You just keep yourself out of trouble.” He told you with a smirk that held no energy.
“Now what is this?” Negan exclaimed as he walked out the house, that damn bat swung over his shoulder.
“Be brave for me, darlin’.” Daryl whispered before moving away from you.
“I do believe I told all of you no talking to the help!” He yelled the last word, swinging Lucille in front of your face quickly causing you to flinch.
“I made an expectation for you once, sweetheart, tell he why I shouldn’t start chopping pieces of him off.” He demanded, swinging the bat in Daryl’s direction.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t, I was in the infirmary and I didn’t know he was here. Please.” You begged, not wanting the man to start swinging.
“Last chance.” He warned quietly, coming close to you, leaning down so he could whisper, “one more move that I don’t like, your boyfriend is dead.”
You gasped as he moved away and beamed and you. A few tears made their way down you face as you stared at him in horror. Thankfully Rick had followed you down, knowing you would disregard his words, and wrapped his arm around him, nodding at Daryl as discreetly as he could manage.
Watching Negan’s smirk as he left with Daryl crushed you.

Somehow, you’d ended up at Hilltop with Rick and some members of the group. You suspected you’d only been allowed to go because Rick didn’t fully trust you yet, suspecting you’d go after Negan’s men alone which to be fair he wasn’t wrong. You went as a group because Rick had decided that they were ready to fight, they needed to fight Negan. It was the first thing you had agreed with for weeks.
He told Maggie how she was right and it was a heartfelt reunion for the group. You stood to the side watching, noticing how the group was down one vital member but hopefully when all was said and done, you’d have Daryl back.
You watched as Rick’s gaze strayed from Maggie’s to something behind her, too deep in thought though you didn’t follow his movement to see where he had gone. Not until Michonne bumped your shoulder. You looked up at her and saw the amazed smile on her face and followed her gaze when she nodded. You let out a choked sob as you watched Daryl leave Rick’s embrace and ran over to you.
Daryl collapsed into your arms the moment he was next to you, laying his head on your chest even with the height different. You sobbed into his hair as he sobbed into your chest. Whatever Negan and his saviours had done it had broken the strong man in front of you.
The two of you ended up on the floor. You held Daryl close to your chest as he clung to you, neither of you willing to let the other go for even a moment. You looked up to find everyone around you in various stages of shock, most crying but with big smiles on their faces.
For once everything looked like it could go in your favour.

That night you and Daryl lay in bed together. He lay comfortably on your chest and you played with the overgrown hair. He had told you and Rick about what had happened whilst he was at the Sanctuary and it broke both your hearts.
You heard about his escape and couldn’t help but wonder why someone had helped him but didn’t dwell on it for too long because you had Daryl back.
You weren’t surprised to hear the man had refused to join Negan’s side though. Thankful even because it showed Negan hadn’t broken Daryl, not completely.
“Missed you.” You heard him mumble. The poor man looked exhausted but the relief and happiness to be back with his family, with you, was so visible on his face that you couldn't help but smile back softly.
“I missed you too, baby.” You told him, voice barely above a whisper so not to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere that was there.
“Thought he was gonna kill me, kept thinkin’ bout you, bout the group. Those woulda been my last memories of y’all and I couldn’t- I couldn’t…” He trailed of as a sob wracked his body.
You shifted so you could cuddle him, running a hand through his hair whilst whispering soft words of comfort. He was safe, you were safe, his family was safe. Everything was going to get better.
“Dunno why Maggie don’t hate me, I got Glenn killed.” Daryl whispered, almost like he didn’t want to admit it which was ridiculous because it wasn’t his fault.
“Negan’s a lunatic who doesn’t need an excuse to kill somebody but if the chance is there, he’ll take it. It wasn’t your fault Glenn was killed, ok, Maggie knows it, Rick knows it, I know it. Nobody blames you in the slightest, you can’t blame yourself.” You knew it would take more than one night to make Daryl see that none of this was his fault but for now the best you could do was hold him and tell him the truth.
“Dunno what I’d do without you baby girl.” He told you after he’d calmed down. The tears were gone and all that was left was sheer exhaustion.
“I don’t know what I’d do without you either. Can’t put me through that again.” You scolded causing him to laugh tiredly.
“Don’t think we ain’t talking about your little surprise appearance that night either, you’re still in trouble.” He warned, his body just slightly less tense than it had been.
“All the long nights filled with worry should be enough to make up for it.” You whispered to him as you watched his eyes blink shut for longer and longer each time.
“Long nights filled with this would be better, that’ll make up for it.” He told you before lazily lifting his head and pressing his lips against yours, drawing you into a soft kiss that made you melt.
“God, baby, I missed you so damn much.” He whispered against your lips as he pulled away, resting his forehead on yours.
“I missed you too.” You whispered back, pressing you lips against his briefly before pulling away and guiding him to lay back down.
“Go to sleep, baby. I’ll still be here tomorrow.” You told him as you resumed running your hand through his hair.
“Be here all the damn time, I ain’t ever letting you go again.” He mumbled before he drifted off to sleep.
It was a long road plagued with nightmares, tears, anxiety and more stress than one thought possible but eventually Daryl got better with the help of everyone around him and the two of you were closer than ever. Daryl had even officially asked you to be his girlfriend, after a kick up the ass from Rick.
True to his word Daryl didn’t let your surprise appearance that night go but it ended with the two of you airing your frustrations out and admitting just how much you liked and cared for each other.
It was good for both of you.

Requested - Yes - Anon - Please could you use prompt 125 with Tony x reader, them having the relationship defining talk with angst but lots of fluff too! Thank you!
Prompts - 125. “I’ve missed you so much.”
You’d met Tony Stark for the first time at a charity gala, what the charity was you couldn’t remember. Memories from that night were filled with Tony, from him bumping into you to the early morning where you fell into bed with each other. You had of course known about the man’s playboy reputation but you hadn’t cared at the time, thinking it would be a onetime thing.
What you didn’t expect was for Tony Stark to show up, a year or so later, in the club you and your friends were at. What you really didn’t expect was for Tony Stark to seek you out, remembering you from that night long ago. The night ended the same as the last encounter.
You’d grown suspicious when seven months later Tony Stark had shown up at the same family run, hole in the wall cafe you frequented. You hadn’t noticed at first, eyes glued to your laptop as you typed your paper up, it wasn’t until he cleared his throat causing you to look up at him in shock, very obviously not expecting Tony to be sat across from you.
“Hey.” He’d smiled at you like an old friend who you hadn’t seen for a while.
“Hi?” You replied, confusion clear in your tone.
He had told you he knew about your work, told you it was brilliant but needed some work. You tried not to feel insulted as this, was stranger the right word here, began listing things that needed looking at. The speech finished with him offering you a job at Stark Industries in order to evolve your theory, working with some of the best tech in the world.
It was a hard opportunity to pass on but you did.
“I didn’t sleep with you for you to offer me a job.” You had told him.
“I know.” He shrugged easily, “but turning this down is pretty stupid. Here’s my card, thinks about it.” With that Tony was gone.
It was a year before you saw Tony again. This time he met you in the library, you were shocked but didn’t let it show on your face.
“So, funny how we keep meeting, huh?” He asked you with a cocky grin.
“Yeah, funny.” You told him with a raised eyebrow.
“I’m here to talk about your paper on…” With that Tony launched into a speech on your paper on medical engineering and the advancements that could be made, along with the formulas to do so. “You won’t come work for me on your artificial intelligence work, at least come and work with the medical team, they’re always looking for ways to become more advanced and we could use your expertise.”
There was an urge to decline again but you accepted. This was an opportunity and if you hated it, you’d leave. Tony was thrilled and started rambling about paper work and flights.

Tony had invited you for dinner a week after you’d started working for Stark Industries. You were over the moon you’d accepted the offer, working with some of the most advanced minds was insane but more than that having these conversations with people who understood you, instead of looking at you with a look of confusion.
Dinner with Tony Stark was an unusual affair, starting with the paparazzi and ending with the restaurant you definitely couldn’t afford with food you couldn’t pronounce. Other than the few abnormalities the night was amazing, you talked about your life, your research and in turn he told you about his. He told you about switching from weapons into the work they were focusing on now.
The night ended differently to how your other nights with Tony had ended in the way that you fell into your own bed, alone, rather than with the older man. You didn’t regret it, not wanting people to get the wrong idea, but part of you mourned the loss.
-
-
-
Dinner with Tony became a regular occurrence that led into movie nights in his cinema room, theatre trips or a stroll around Central Park. It was safe to say there was something between the two of you; you’d met his closest friends Rhodey, Pepper and Happy and he’d met the friends you had made since arriving in New York.
There was no labels, no in depth talk about a relationship or exclusivity. No boundaries were created. Every time one of you braved bringing the conversation up it ended badly, or more specifically never even began in the first place.
The first time he had tried to bring it up ended with an alert from JARVIS alerting him of an Avengers level threat in which you had to watch Tony from a TV screen almost die. When you had tried to bring it up Pepper had interrupted with papers for Tony to sign. All in all, it seemed the universe didn’t want you to have this conversation.
-
-
-
You’d been working for Tony for eleven months when the argument came. Admittedly Tony and you knew it was bound to happen. Eleven months of dates, sex and an undiscussed relationship was going to led to this.
“Just tell me what you want?!” You exclaimed in his workshop, the bots had moved to the side after the argument started heating up, beeping sadly.
“I, God, Y/N, I want this!” Tony shouted.
“This? What even is this? I mean we’re just to people who keep each other company!” You shot back.
“Seriously that’s what you-” Tony began but was quickly cut off.
“I don’t know what to think because we haven’t spoken! I’m not putting the blame on you alone but-”
“Sir, my apologies for interrupting but it seems there is an emergency that requires your attention. I have sent the location to your suit.” JARVIS’s voice filled the room and you couldn’t help but laugh because of course this was happening. You couldn’t even hate it because Tony was saving people.
“I have to go.” He said as he stepped into the suit.
“I know.”
“Can we please talk later?”
“I think I’m done talking.” You told him, turning to leave and though he called you back you kept walking. As the elevator doors shut you heard the whirl of the amour and let your head fall back.
-
-
-
“You know,” Rhodey began as he stepped into your lab, “I’ve never seen Tony this way. I’ve known him since he was a scrawny teenager and even then, nothing like this. He misses you; you know?”
“Rhodey,” you sighed, “trust me I want to be with him too-”
“Then do it.” Rhodey said let it was the easiest, most obvious solution in the world and in theory it probably was but executing it was so much harder.
“I can’t. We can’t. Hell, we were practically together for eleven months but we never talked, I mean not about what we were.” You sat down in the seat next to you, suddenly feeling exhausted. You’d avoided Tony for a month and you admitted, only to yourself, that you missed him.
“Yeah that talk sucks. It’s a terrible talk to have but you need it, not just you and Tony but everybody in a relationship has to have that talk. Define the relationship, know where you stand with each other. It’s a ten-minute terrible talk that could lead to a life time of happiness.” Rhodey told you, moving to sit opposite you as he spoke.
It was a crappy talk. Nobody wanted it, it was scary defining a relationship when you hardly knew what you wanted. Though you had shouted at Tony for saying it you knew what he meant when he said he wanted ‘this’. What you two had going was pretty great, had the potential to be even better with the talk.
“I’ll consider it.” You said before pretending to work.
“All I can ask for. See you around, Y/N.” Rhodey said, leaving you with your thoughts.
-
-
-
“I’ve missed you so much.” Tony said taking you in his arms. You couldn’t help but melt into the embrace. “C’mon, let’s talk.” He said, pulling away and leading the pair of you over to the sofa in his workshop.
And you did talk. You spoke about how you both liked each other, groaning over the fact you sounded like two school kids with a crush. You spoke about how you both liked what you had going, but you wanted it to be a real relationship, exclusive to only the two of you which Tony admitted he wanted to.
The two of you talked into the night, ordering take out and moving up to Tony’s floors and watching a movie. The two of you talked until you fell asleep in a mess of limbs on the sofa just after two in the morning.
It’s safe to say though the talk is scary, it is definitely worth it for a life-time of happiness.

Notes - This is my first Rory imagine so it’s probably ooc a bit, also I tried to avoid using pronouns just because there isn’t much Rory x reader fanfic so anyone can read this!
Requested - Yes - @fanboy7794 - Would you be willing to do a rory x reader, Lorelai hates them and to get rory to break up with them until she sees a sweet moment between them.
You had always been more reckless than most your age, more adventurous, you didn’t really care what other people thought of you and were more than happy with your own company. It was a lot easier to be yourself in a big city like New York, a lot easier to get away with things too but here in small town Stars Hollow, it was the complete opposite of where you wanted to be. The town was too small, too suffocating, everyone knew each other, it was like you couldn’t breathe without everyone knowing.
You’d been in town for a week before the towns people started talking about you. Criticising everything about you; your hair, your dress sense, skipping school, stealing, though they only speculated this they weren’t certain you had, your explicit language. That was just to name a few.
You hardly showed up to school so hadn’t met many other people your age which you were fine with. It wasn’t until you’d been in town for two weeks or so that you bumped in her; Rory Gilmore.
You’d snuck out of the house late one night, you didn’t know why your parents even bothered grounding you any more, they knew you would never listen. You were expecting Stars Hollow to be empty so were surprised when you turned a corner and slammed into another person.
“Watch where you’re going.” You snapped.
“I’m so sorry!” You heard a girl exclaim and looked down to see she had dropped a stack of books and a to go cup from Luke’s. You looked at the girl for a moment, feeling a small smirk pull on your lips, her blue eyes caught your attention straight away, they were mesmerising.
You knelt down to help her pick up some of the books, watching as she looked up at you and smiled shyly.
“I’m Rory Gilmore.” She introduced herself, smiling as you gave her four or so books. “Thank you, I really am sorry, I wasn’t paying attention, I have this exam in two days and I’m just trying to-” She cut herself off with a blush of embarrassment. “Sorry, I’m rambling.”
“Don’t worry about it.” You smirked, “I’m Y/N.”
“I don’t think I’ve seen you around here before.” She prompted and you resisted the urge to roll your eyes, she was intriguing, yes, but you really weren’t in the mood for making friends.
“Yeah, well, me and my family just moved in.” Was all you said but she was nodding and smiling along. “Well, I won’t keep you from studying,” You said with a look that showed how you felt about that particular activity, you rarely showed up to school, yet alone studied outside of school times, “See you around, Gilmore.”
“Good night, Y/N!” Rory grinned at you before walking past you, turning around to get one more look at you before disappearing.
For some reason you found yourself hoping you would see her around.

And see her you did.
The second time you ran into Rory was when you had just finished being followed by Taylor, harassing you over missing money that you definitely had stolen. You saw her go into Luke’s alone and couldn’t resist.
You walked into Luke’s, leaning against the counter, and saw the exact moment she saw you. She smiled shyly as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear causing you to fight back a smirk.
“Hey.” She said as she came to stand next to you, you watched as Luke looked between the two of you with a suspicious look.
“Gilmore.” You greeted, nodding your head at her slightly.
“I’ve never seen you before, now I’ve seen you twice in three days. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you were following me.” Rory joked causing you to chuckle in amusement.
“Guess you could say I couldn’t resist.” You said, meeting her gaze. She really was beautiful, her eyes, the way her hair fell just past her shoulders. She was wearing a school uniform today that complemented her well. You knew the local school didn’t have a uniform but didn’t know of any other schools. “What’s with the uniform?” You asked, acting uninterested in her answer but listening to every word she said.
“Oh, I go to Chilton.” At your raised eyebrow she clarified, “It’s a private school up in Hartford.”
“Private school, you must be pretty damn smart then.” You acknowledge, watching her as she nodded in agreement. The fact she knew she was smart and owned it made her even more attractive.
“Rory!” You heard someone exclaim from the door. You pulled your gaze away from Rory and saw a woman that resembled her making her way over to the two of you. Not missing how she look at you with disdain.
“Hey mom,” Rory greeted, accepting the one-armed hug her mom gave.
“Who’s this?” She asked but from the way she looked at you, you knew she didn’t need an answer.
“Oh, this is Y/N.” Rory explained that you were new in town and how the two of you had met the other night.
“Well I should be going.” You told her before going to leave but turned around to smirk at her when she called your name.
“You didn’t order anything.”
“Like I said,” You grinned, sounding amused, “I couldn’t resist.” And with that you turned and left Luke’s looking through the window as you passed to see Rory’s cheeks flushed red and her mom scowling between the door and her daughter.

At some point hanging out with Rory became a regular thing for you. You didn’t know how it had happened, just that Rory had come and joined you whenever she saw you and vice versa. At some point you had begun meeting her at the bus stop after she had finished Chilton, she often told you off for skipping school but there wasn’t much heat to her words. Eventually, you talked her into sneaking out of the house. At first it was only to meet up with her in her backyard but over time you’d convinced her to come further out, to the lake, to the centre and had almost convinced her to come on a drive with you though when she saw the bike she shook her head no.
She accepted the way you were, didn’t try to change you, just poked fun and teased you and overtime you found yourself actually liking being around her, something you hadn’t done with many people. It was strange but something about Rory Gilmore spoke to you.
It was after two or so months of hanging out with Rory that you finally admitted to yourself that you liked the bookworm. The two of you would sit by the lake til late at night, you listen to her talk about Chilton and Paris and the books she’d read, she spoke of Friday night dinners and drama with Lorelai. You were attracted to her, her mind, the way she articulated things, her beauty. You hadn’t felt like this in a long time, if ever.
“-and get this, they published my article and it made front page news!” Rory beamed as the two of you were walking towards the lake after you’d picked her up from the bus stop.
“Told you they would.” You grinned, never having a doubt that she wouldn’t get her article published.
“Yeah you did.” She said softly as she gave you a shy smile, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.
That was a thing that happened a lot between you and Rory. Small, soft looks were traded between the two of you, both of you glancing secretly at the other when you thought they couldn’t see. Smiles with hidden meanings and words that went unspoken were exchanged back and forth.
“So, what’s next for the great Rory Gilmore?” You smirked knowing that she was getting ready to apply for colleges and stressing out majorly over it even though you had no doubt she could get into any school she wanted.
You watched in amusement as she let out an over exaggerated sigh, running her hand through her hair messily as the two of you sat on the dock.
“I pretty much have everything written but I’m worried that I don’t have enough extracurricular activities but it’s too late to do anything about it now.” She told you, the words coming out in a rush causing you to raise an eyebrow. “Sorry, I’m just quite nervous. I really want to go to Harvard but apparently my grandparents want me to go to Yale and now it’s a big drama.” She exclaimed.
You just shrugged at her, never understanding why people did what they thought was best for other people rather than doing what they wanted. You said as much to her causing her to deflate.
“I know but I don’t want to disappoint anyone.” The look on her face caused you to frown and you cupped her cheek before you could really talk yourself out of doing it. You watched as she looked up at you, wide eyes and lips parted slightly.
“Do whatever you want,” You told her, brushing your thumb against her cheek, smiling slightly as she leaned into the touch, “Harvard, Yale, community college, drop out or run away to Paris or wherever it is you wanna go. Do whatever you want.” Without giving it, another thought you leaned down and pressed your lips to hers.
The kiss was hesitant to begin with, a feather-like touch of your lips against hers, giving Rory a chance to pull away if she wanted to. You were close enough to her that you felt her tense up and you were seconds away from pulling away, from apologising but before you could she was returning the kiss, just as hesitant as you, barely a brush of your lips. She pulled away first, blushing as she did.
“Y/N,” She began but the words seemed to die on her lips as she leaned back in, kissing you with more force this time. What had been just a brush against your lips turned into passionate make out session, your hands cupping her cheeks, hers looped around your neck, playing with your hair. It was quite a few minutes before the two of you pulled away gasping for air.
“Hi.” You whispered as you let your forehead rest on hers.
“Hi.” She giggled, soft smile on her face.
“I’ve wanted to do that for a while.” You confessed, grinning when she admitted to wanting it too. This was new for you, you weren’t used to being close to very many people, especially not like how you were with Rory, how you wanted to be with Rory.
“Let me take you on a date?” You asked, warmth spreading inside you when she agreed.
-
-
-
In a town like Stars Hollow news spread like wild fire and the fact that you had been dating Rory for just over two months without anyone finding out was astounding. You knew how much the townspeople cared for the Gilmores and how they kept a closer eye on her when you were around and so you were expecting to get caught as you held her hand or pressed a quick kiss to her lips, you weren’t expecting to get caught like this.
It was just past midnight when you snuck across the garden and quietly tapped against Rory’s window. You smiled as she opened it, every noise sounding amplified as you climbed through and greeted her with a kiss, pulling her close and pressing her against the wall. You felt her kiss back with as much force as you before she smiled into the kiss and pulled back, resting her head against the wall and panting lightly.
“Hello to you too.” She grinned as she let her palms rest on your chest, you smiled back at her before diving in again to pepper kisses from her jawline to her neck, smirking against her skin as she titled her head back for you.
You weren’t surprised when after a few minutes of making out Rory pushed you away. The two of you had never done more than kiss, you knew it was something Rory wasn’t ready for, but you enjoyed how she still blushed beautifully each time the two of you shared a heated kiss.
You flopped down of her bed, watching as she laughed quietly and sat next to you. You wrapped your arm around her shoulder letting her cuddle into your side. The two of you stayed on her bed for well over two hours, talking in whispered voices, laughing quietly desperately trying not to wake Lorelai up and kissing some more.
It was well after two that you had to leave, you’d already stayed longer than you planned to considering it was a school night, which meant very little to you but Rory insisted she had to go. You were currently laying on top of her, pressing soft kisses against her lips and finally pulled away to pull your shoes on.
“I really have to go now.” You insisted as she sat up next to you.
You said your goodbyes and shared a handful more of kisses before you climbed out of the window, not thinking anyone would see.
.
.
.
“Lorelai, there you are, doll!” Babette called from her lawn, waving frantically to Lorelai who was just stepping out of the house.
“Hey Babette, everything ok?” She asked as she met the woman half way.
“You’ll never guess what I saw last night!” She exclaimed, “A kid was sneaking out of your house, now it was dark, doll, but I coulda sworn it was that new kid, Y/N, is it?” She asked before shaking her head. “Anyway, I thought I’d let you know. It was midnight when I first saw Y/N and then saw the kid leaving at two.”
Lorelai was horrified but she smiled and quickly thanked Babette before storming off, making her way to Luke’s. There was nothing she could do until Rory got home.
.
.
.
“Hey kid.” Lorelai greeted the moment Rory walked through the door. Rory rounded the corner into the kitchen and threw her bag into her room as she said hi to Lorelai. “So, anything exciting happen since last night?” She asked causing Rory to shoot her a look of confusion.
“Erm, no, just school.” Rory said cautiously, not knowing where this was going but Lorelai was obviously upset over something.
“Oh cool, cool.” Lorelai nodded, staying silent for a few moments before speaking again, “It’s just, this morning I had a really interesting conversation with Babette. Did you know she said she saw some kid that happened to look exactly like Y/N sneaking in and out of our house last night?”
Rory froze as she reached for a mug, eyes wide and face draining of colour. It was no secret Lorelai didn’t like you, she didn’t realise the extent of just how well the two of you were getting along. Even in public you seemed more like casual acquaintances more than anything. Rory knew there was no way of getting out of this and honestly, she was a little relieved, she hated lying to Lorelai but she hadn’t come up with a good way to tell her about you.
Slowly Rory turned around and faced Lorelai, a sheepish look on her face.
“Before you get mad-” Rory began but was quickly cut off by Lorelai.
“Oh, I’m already mad, in fact, I’m so far past mad, mad looks pretty tame!” Lorelai exclaimed as she stood up, locking eyes with Rory. “How long?” She asked, her tone eerily flat.
“Mom-”
“How long, Rory?” She asked again and watch as Rory screwed her eyes shut before answering.
“A little over two months.” She confessed; voice barely louder than a whisper but in the quiet of the room she may as well of shouted it.
“Two months!?” Lorelai yelled, “That kid, that low life kid, has been sneaking around with you, sneaking into my house, for two months? Why Rory? I mean I know opposites attract but come on, the kid skips school, steals, lies, vandalises property, I mean seriously Rory the list is endless, what are you thinking?”
“I’m thinking you don’t know Y/N, like I do. You don’t see the sides I do, the kind, sweet and caring side. I really like Y/N.” Rory pleaded with Lorelai but she just shook her head.
“I want you to end this, Rory.” Lorelai said leaving no room for argument.
“Please mom.” Rory tried her eyes filling with tears.
“No Rory, end it.” And with that Lorelai turned and went upstairs, leaving Rory in the kitchen with silent tears falling down her face.
.
.
.
Rory paced her room as she waited for you to arrive. She had called you a few hours after she had calmed down and asked to see you. You hadn’t thought much of it though you probably should have considering it was only five and she had told you to use the front door.
Her heart felt like it had stopped when she heard a knock on the door and she could see Lorelai looking from her spot on the sofa. With a deep breath she opened the door and stepped out onto the porch.
“Hey.” She greeted, her tone void of emotion and her eyes still looked red.
“Hey.” You returned softly, stepping closer to cup her cheek and run your thumb against her cheek. She allowed herself to lean into the touch for a moment before pushing you away. “Everything ok?”
“We have to break up.” She managed to say after a long moment of silence. Your eyes widened as you took in what she said.
“Wait, what?” You asked, frowning as you took a step back, looking at her in confusion.
“I’m sorry,” She told you, teary eyes wide as she did, “but we have to break up.”
“Why?” You asked, trying to control your emotions, trying not to let it show how much she was hurting you.
She just shook her head at you. A few tears managed to make their way down her face as she looked at you apologetically.
“Please, just tell me why.” You tried again but she just shook her head and whispered an apology. “Rory-” You began but she spoke before you could continue.
“I’m so sorry.” Was all she said before dashing back inside, leaving you looking at the closed front door with tears in your eyes.
.
.
.
It had been just over a week since your unexpected break up with Rory. In that time, you had taken every opportunity you could to disrupt the town whether it be by stealing from the market, causing such a disruption that the parade couldn’t commence and just generally annoyed the townspeople so much you were the only topic at that week’s town meeting.
You hated to admit how much it was hurting you that Rory had broken up with you out of the blue without any warning. Sure, you were polar opposites in most ways, she was the straight a student who put school before anything and you would rather skip school and cause a scene but you had plenty in common as well.
It was nearing on 6pm when you had finally had enough. You at least deserved to know why Rory had broken up with you so you climbed out of your bedroom window with ease and made your way over to her house hoping she was home.
The entire walk over there you thought of every reason she could give and most of them you couldn’t argue with and by the time you got to her window you’d convinced yourself that it was a bad idea, that she could do so much better than you but still, you took a deep breath and knocked quietly on her window.
You watched as she looked at you in confusion, her eyes seemed a little red around the edges as she opened her window.
“Y/N?” She asked, the crease in between her eyebrows deepening as she titled her head.
“I’m sorry,” You began, not noticing that her bedroom door was open or the fact that Lorelai was stood there listening to everything that was about to be said, “I know you probably don’t want to see me but I have to know why?” You asked, eyes wide as you pleaded with her.
“Y/N.” She sighed, looking down and tugging at the sleeves of her sweater. “I didn’t-” She started but her voice broke, you didn’t need to see her eyes to know they had filled with tears.
“Hey, I’m sorry, I’ll leave but I really like you and I want so badly to be with you but I know you can do so much better, you deserve better and I’m just sorry I couldn’t be that.” Your own voice sounded strained now and you cursed yourself for letting your eyes water up.
Rory’s head snapped up as she shook her head, reaching out and grabbing one of your hands.
“Stop it, none of this is your fault.” She cried and you took a step closer, leaning up to wipe away her tears with your free hand. Rory leaned down and pressed your foreheads together. “My mom doesn’t like you and she said I had to break up with you, I’m so sorry.”
Out of all the reasons you thought she would give you this wasn’t it. Though a part of you should have probably considered it considering how close she was with her mom.
You heard yourself laugh in disbelief before shaking your head.
“I can’t convince you to get back with me, much as I want to I know how close your mom and you are and I don’t want to be the one to come between that but Rory Gilmore I like you, I like you a lot and-” You were cut off by Rory leaning down to kiss you, it was messy and uncoordinated but right and perfect. You allowed yourself a few moments to just kiss her back, to have her this close before you regretfully pulled away from her.
“I’m sorry.” She mumbled and you let out a watery, unamused chuckled and leaned up to kiss her forehead.
“See you around, Gilmore.” You smiled and it hurt you to pull away from her but you did.

Lorelai watched as you pulled away from Rory and watched as Rory collapsed down on her bed with tears falling freely down her face. She frowned at the scene in front of her feeling like she had screwed up. Maybe making Rory break up with you was a mistake, maybe she had to let Rory be with somebody like you, honestly it was probably long overdue. She could tell, at least from what she had overheard, that you definitely cared for Rory and that you didn’t want to hurt her. With a sigh Lorelai entered Rory’s room and sat down next to her crying daughter, wrapping an arm around her and pulling her close.
“Listen kid, if you wanna be with Y/N, that’s fine. I might not like it but if it makes you happy then what I say doesn’t matter and if it does end badly, well that’s what ice cream and movies are for.” She smiled.
Rory looked up at her with wet, hopeful eyes and hesitantly asked if she was sure. As much as she liked you, she didn’t want to do anything to disrupt their dynamic.
“I’m sure, kid.” Lorelai reassured, sure she might not be your biggest fan but you made her daughter happy and at the end of the day that’s all she could ask for.

You were at Luke’s the next morning, sipping on your drink as you tried to keep your eyes open. You couldn’t sleep last night no matter how much you tried, you just kept tossing and turning.
Thankfully nobody bothered you and you were able to enjoy your drink in peace. You didn’t bother looking up when you heard the door open and rolled your eyes when you heard someone pull the chair across from you out.
“Piss off.” You snapped but your head shot up when you heard Rory.
“Hi.” She spoke hesitantly. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have broken up with you just because of my mom, it was wrong and I’m sorry.”
“I get it, ok, you and your mom are close.” You told her and meant it, you knew story and her mom where close, had been their whole lives and you knew you never stood a chance the moment Lorelai found out.
“My mom came and spoke to me last night after you left and she said it was ok if we dated. She doesn’t love it but she’s willingly to give it a chance.” Rory told you with a small smile on her face, nervous for your reaction.
You looked at her blankly for a moment before a smile worked its way onto your face.
“Seriously?” You asked and she nodded, her own smile widening.
“Yeah, I really am sorry for all this though.” You just rolled your eyes at her before telling her to come with you, pulling her out of the seat and tugging her after you.
You led Rory over towards the lake, the two of you sitting on the dock, looking out at the water.
“So, we’re really ok?” You asked just to check, wanting to confirm it. Rory smiled at you, leaning forward to cup your cheek.
“We’re ok.” She reassured and with that you leaned forward, pressing your lips against hers in a hard and passionate kiss that showed just how much you had missed her.

Requested - Yes - Anon - Hiiiii can I ask for #161 and #166 for Draco??? Thank you
In your defence you hadn’t meant to drink so much. It was only meant to be a few drinks in the common room to celebrate winning the quidditch match and somehow you had ended up on the field outside of Hogwarts staring up at the sky, watching the clouds pass. Admittedly, drinking so much wasn’t your best idea.
The shots also weren’t the best idea either.
You sat up quickly, too quickly, causing your head to spin. You just giggled as you rolled you head around, spotting a blonde headed figure not too far from you.
“Draco!” You yelled happily as you stood up, albeit clumsily. You watched as his head snapped in your direction and he made his way over to you.
You’d known Draco since first year but hadn’t gotten along too great then but in second year Professor Snape assigned him to help you in potions and from then on the pair of you got along famously.
That friendship also came with the added bonus of having a crush on the Malfoy heir. It was easy to deal with most of the time, even with Parkinson rubbing herself against Draco constantly. Still having a crush on the guy who only saw you as a best friend had its difficult moments.
“Y/N?” Draco questioned as he got closer to you, practically catching you as you hugged him, it was more of a fall really. “Are you...drunk?” He asked.
“Celebrations were happening, Draco, just cause you wanted to make potions or whatever with Snape doesn’t mean the rest of us can’t have fun.” You giggled against his chest.
“Yes, seems like you’ve had all the fun.” Draco drawled, moving so his arm was around your waist as he tried to lead you back to the castle.
“No!” You protested, moving out of his arms and plopping down onto the grass. “I want to stay here, look it’s so pretty.” The lake was glistening in the distance, the sky was blue with soft white clouds passing by and the grass was decorated with an array of coloured flowers.
Draco just laughed as he sat down next to you.
He liked you too, of course he did, how could he not? You were smart, beautiful, kind. The list really went on. He struggled with his crush on you, knowing his father would not approve of a relationship with a half blood and, sure, maybe once upon a time Draco would have never contemplated a relationship with anyone but a pureblood but he really liked you.
He’d spoken to his godfather about it many times, knowing the man was perhaps one of the few people who wouldn’t tell his father. Severus hardly offered advice, claiming he didn’t involve himself with school boy crushes, but he had told Draco to do what he wanted, not what his father expected. He told him he’d regret it if he didn’t at least take a chance. That conversation had been exactly what Draco had needed and he came up with a plan to ask you out. It wasn’t overly complicated, he was just going to invite you to go with him to the next Hogsmeade trip, have a meal, walk around a little and then at the end of it, if things went well, he was going to ask you to be his girlfriend.
It was a great plan. Too bad they never work out.
You rested your head on Draco’s shoulder, sitting so you were pressed against him. He looked down at you and smiled, he really wanted you to be his. Since fourth year he had known he’d liked you but at that age girls were still gross, it was only part way through fifth year were he realised he really wanted to be with you.
“What were you doing anyway?” You asked, closing your eyes as you rested against him.
“I was with Severus.” He said confirming your earlier statement quietly, not wanting to break the peaceful atmosphere. “He was going over the career guidance information.”
“You should do potions, maybe teach? I dunno, you’re good at teaching the younger kids.” You mumbled, giggling at the memories of Draco surrounded by a cluster of first and second year who were lost in potions.
“It’s something I could see myself doing, but father would expect me to work for the ministry.” He told you causing you to sit up and roll your eyes.
“Lucius is a dick.” You slurred causing Draco to roll his eyes fondly, the adoring smile never leaving, he’d heard this speech many times, all different topics coming to the same conclusion of ‘Lucius is a dick’. If it were anyone else tarnishing his father’s reputation, he would have argued but with you the things he could say was…
“God, I really want to kiss you.” Shocking himself as he did.
“Wait, insulting your dad was all it took? But I do that all the time.” You pouted causing Draco’s eyes to widen - did you like him too then?
He risked everything with you as he leaned forward but didn’t have to worry for too long as you leaned forward and met him halfway, pressing your lips together. It was so much more than both of you had imagined. Draco’s hand came up to cup your cheek as one of yours found its way into his hair.
“Well that wasn’t how I’d planned to confess, I’ll admit.” Draco laughed breathlessly as he rested his forehead on yours after the two of you had pulled away.
“You’d planned this?” You asked, soft smile on your face as you continued to play with his hair.
“I was going to take you to dinner in Hogsmeade then ask you to be my girlfriend.” His smile turned sheepish; his pale face coloured slightly.
“Well in that case, yes to the dinner and yes I’ll be your girlfriend.” You told him before pulling him into another kiss.
“You’re drunk, what are the chances of remembering this?” He asked, chasing your lips after he had.
“I think I sobered up pretty quick when the guy I liked admitted he liked me too.” You said causing both of you to laugh.
Dinner at Hogsmeade was a delightful affair, candles created a romantic atmosphere and the two of you discovered that the transition from friends to partners wasn’t actually all that strange and you got to skip the awkward first date phase.
