The person lives driven by their complex (represented as a dog) but they think everyone is like them, so they don't see it as bad, they see it as life, so that's why it's mentioned that it's a parasite (it shouldn't be there).

The goal of life

Is to live it from the point of view of love, that’s when impossibility becomes itself.

So I’m always excited for my death
