(Y/n) was just trying to eat his dinner peacefully for the night. The restaurant was small and not too busy, it was just one of many ramen places. It was relatively quiet in the place. He was pretty sure he was the only customer.

Then, the door opened with a loud bang!

"I can't believe her!" A tiny blonde man came sauntering in, a taller man in a full suit of armor coming in behind him.

(Y/n) just sat there dumbfounded. 'What the hell...? Who're these two?'

The two of them were seated near (Y/n), who could only stare more. Eventually, the tiny one with anger issues noticed, and began to pipe up.

"What're you lookin' at?" The short man growled.

"You're...really tiny." (Y/n) spoke bluntly.

The guy in the suit of armor seemed to tense, while the tiny one just became angrier. He let out a growl before lunging at (Y/n), but the suit of armor caught him mid-air.

"Sorry! So sorry about my brother! He's sensitive about his height..." The suit of armor spoke with an oddly high voice...

"Uh...sorry." (Y/n) says, still stunned by their peculiar appearances.

"Yeah?! You will be sorry!" The tiny one screams.

"Hey, hey, calm down...here, as an extension of my apology, allow me to buy you both dinner."

That immediately calmed down the tiny man. "Alright, sure."

So, he did. He bought the two whatever they wanted for dinner that night, much to his wallet's chagrin...but, at least the small one wasn't angry with him.

"Y'know, I never got your names." (Y/n) said.

"Oh, I'm Edward Elric." The small one comments.

"I'm Alphonse Elric. We're brothers." The suit of armor happily gestures between the two of them.

"Ah, makes more sense now. I'm (Y/n) (L/n)." He smiles at the two.

Edward seems a bit taken aback by the smile, but covers up his flustered expression by drinking his drink. Alphonse keeps up the polite small talk while Edward sizes (Y/n) up. The (color) hair glowed nicely in the light of the restaurant, his voice smoothly talking over the quiet music in the background.

Edward felt his face heat up when (Y/n) looked at him.

"Would you like to add something, Edward? You've been staring at me all night, and barely touched your food."

"What?! I'm fine! Sh-shut up!" Edward suddenly lept forward and ate quickly out of his ramen bowl.

(Y/n) chuckled and nodded, continuing to talk to Alphonse about something. After everything was paid for, the trio left the restaurant. Alphonse and (Y/n) were saying their goodbyes.

"I'll see you around, yeah, Edward?" (Y/n) smiles at the boy.

"...Ed."

"Hm?"

"Ed. Just- just call me Ed." The fiery blonde glanced away, face heating up once again.

"Aw, okay, Ed. I'll see you around." (Y/n) ruffled his hair before walking away.

Alphonse yelled a "goodbye!' after their new friend before nudging his brother.

"You were totally checking him out."

Mokuba mentioned to Seto about how you complained about your "shitty" job you currently had, and were looking for a new one. Seto hated the idea at first, but Mokuba reminded him that you and the others had helped Seto save him multiple times, so you could be trusted

Seto, in his...weird way...approaches you. Menacingly. At your fucking job.

Face devoid of emotion, he approaches you with a suitcase in hand, two security guards behind him, everyone begins to whisper as he locks eyes with you and stands in front of you. "(Y/n)." he says.

"Uh...hey, Kaiba, what can I do for you today?" You say, a bit surprised if anything.

"I need you to babysit Mokuba."

"Right now? Kaiba, I'm kinda at wor-"

"Quit your job. I'll hire you right now."

Your manager is dumbfounded in the background.

Mokuba is too old to have a babysitter, but Seto doesn't think so. So, Mokuba is actually pretty fun to babysit.

Mokuba wants to play a bunch, but can also handle being on his own if he wants to. You both scroll through your phones and share Tik Toks, look through Instagram, troll Kaiba's comments on social media, play video games on the TV, watch shows together, it's a real fun time

Seto's just glad someone was watching his brother. He came home late on night, and saw you cleaning up the kitchen.

"In bed, asleep. Don't worry, I had him shower and everything before bed so he's not messing up the sheets."

Seto huffs. "But it's the maids job to clean."

"Yeah, but, I thought it'd be nice to make her job a little easier." You shrug.

"Why didn't you just call a baker?" Seto asked, setting his stuff down on the now clean counter.

"Because me and Mokuba thought it'd be fun to do it ourselves, and we were right." You beamed up at him.

He kept quiet until you were done cleaning. You then turned to him with a tired smile.

"Thank you for this job, Kaiba."

"...You're welcome." He'd nod to you. "Even if you are part of the geek squad."

You laugh. "Yeah, yeah..." you yawn. "It's getting late. I'm gonna head home. I'll be back after school tomorrow, 'kay?"

It was around midnight. Seto didn't like the idea of you walking home alone. "I'll give you a ride."

"No, no, you look exhausted Kaiba. I'll be okay. Yugi's place is closer, I'll probably just crash there-"

"No. I'll give you a ride." he stands.

"Kaiba, seriously, it's okay." You give him a soft smile. "You look really tired, please, just go sleep. I'll be fine."

(Y/n) coughed as she laid on her back, making her quickly switch to her side. Her stomach was churning, threatening to put up whatever she consumed, liquid or solid. She groaned as she clutched her stomach, trying not to dry heave.

Her phone dinged, making her head throb with the sound. Without looking at her phone, she turned off the ringer and closed her eyes. Hopefully that would ease the throbbing. At least she could breathe through her nose still.

Coughing once again, she felt her head throb with every cough that racked her body. She sighed after the coughing fit, hoping to get a nap in. Her coughing had woken her up all throughout the night. As her throat started to ease from the pain of coughing so much, her body finally started to succumb to sleep.

That was, until Ling's ringtone began to scream from her phone. She sighed, feeling the throb in her head intensify as the ringtone persists. Rolling over, she grabbed the phone and answered.

"Hello...?" (Y/n)'s voice was raspy, and cracked a little bit from not using it in a while.

"Honeyyy~! Why haven't you been answering me?" (Y/n) could practically hear Ling's pout over the phone.

"Sorry, Ling, uh..." She didn't wanna tell him she was sick, he'd start fussing over her. "I've just been busy."

"Busy with what? And why does your voice sound like that?"

"Sound like what?" Her voice cracked.

"Like that! It sounds all weird, and you didn't answer my question! What're you busy with?"

"My voice doesn't sound weird, Ling."

She could hear him whine. She sighs again. "Why did you whine, Ling?"

"Because you're not using any nickname!"

"...Sorry, sweetheart. I'm just very busy, okay?"

"Too busy to respond to me?"

"Yeah, 'm sorry." She mumbled, half asleep.

Ling whined again, then gasped. "I'll just come over, then!"

"What? No. Ling, I'm busy. I need to-" She went through another coughing fit. "Shit- sorry swee-"

She was interrupted by her own coughing, it being so loud she didn't hear Ling hanging up the phone. Or, at least, she didn't realize until her coughing fit was over. She sighed and got up, deciding to take medicine again.

"There's no doubt he heard me coughing...he's gonna show up..."

And she was right. Some time later, Ling pounded on the door. The pounding rang through her already throbbing head. She sighed and yelled through the door as best as she could.

"Ling! Please stop!"

"Sweetheart, please open the door! You don't sound well!"

"I'm fine!" She yells back, feeling the pain in her head increase.

"(Y/n)," Ling spoke seriously, ceasing his pounding. "You seriously don't sound well. I heard your coughing fit- you need medicine or a doctor right away."

"Ling, I-" She coughed a little from yelling before. "I'll be okay."

"Can I just please come in? I haven't really heard from you in a few days, and I really miss you..."

Ling spoke with a saddened tone. (Y/n) thought for a moment and sighed once more, unlocking the door and opening it slightly. She was happy to finally see her boyfriend after a while.

"Can you open the door more? I wanna kiss you..."

"No Ling, you'll get sick..."

"So you are sick. Good thing I brought medicine!" Ling held up a grocery bag.

"Ah-! I'm not sick!" (Y/n) fumbled.

Ling pushed past her anyway, and in her weakened state, she couldn't do anything to stop him. Opting to follow her boyfriend into her kitchen, she watched for a second as he took out the items in the bag, placing them on your counter.

(Y/n) hissed as her head continued to throb, so she reached for a glass. Ling snatched it from her hand, kissed her head and filled up the glass with water.

"Drink this, then I'll get you to bed."

"I'm not sick, Ling..." (Y/n) downed the glass of water.

"Sure you aren't." He took the glass and placed it upside down in the sink, then gently guiding his girlfriend back to her bed.

"Ling..."

"I want to hear no argument, okay?" Ling kissed her forehead as she laid down. "I love you~! I'm off to make you some soup."

With that, Ling turned and left out the door. (Y/n) sighed, then smiled, snuggling into her blankets and closing her eyes. Maybe being sick wasn't so bad after all, if Ling was by her side.
