I Am Actually Begging Some People To Just Let Some Spaces Exist Untouched By Real-world Issues And Horrors.
I am actually begging some people to just let some spaces exist untouched by real-world issues and horrors.
Like I've lost count of the amount of times peaceful game or fandom servers have been ruined by people stampeding in with political rants, bitching about world issues, demanding internal activism, demanding vent channels so they can whine about their shitty parents, ect.
Like. Respectfully. Not every single space has to be inclusive of and welcoming of outside topics. The real world sucks. We don't needed to be reminded of that absolutely everywhere.

prismatic-bell doxxed an indigenous person and mocked their indigenous status (along with threatening to get them fired) because they had the audacity to say "don't dehumanize addicts", I wouldn't reblog from xem
If you're going to send accusations into my inbox I am not going to entertain them unless you attach actual proof.
This is not a statement of willful ignorance or defence. I am simply not going to make any judgements or actions based on claims which have no evidence attached. If you're going to go around anonymously warning people about other users, you need to be, at bare minimum, including valid evidence.
This goes for everything, by the way.
As an ex-anti I feel a little bad because I only stopped being one when it was my ship they started targeting. I wonder if I ever would have changed if I never happened to ship a "bad ship" one time or if I'd still be spouting the same nonsense today. :-/
This is actually one of the most common ways people stop being an anti. When you're forced onto the other side of the argument, it often brutally enlightens you to faults in your own arguments and perspective.
You never truly understand what someone else is thinking until you're forced to think in the same way, or to recognise how and why they think the way they do.
Unfortunately, sometimes antis will experience that and only double down on their own argument, declaring themselves the exception or inventing increasingly varied reasons for why things don't apply to them.
Do you think the AI rape art of Taylor Swift is justifiable because it's art and not an action?
This is really not going to make you happy, Anon, but to be frank, its an AI image. By itself, its harmless.
The inexcusable action is deliberately attempting to expose the person concerned to it and also therein the harm. Plenty of unpalatable art is created for a myriad of reasons.
I frankly don't care if people make AI rape images of Taylor Swift. I care if they're trying to force her to see them or if they're trying to perpetrate them as real. I care if those images are deliberately being used maliciously to cause people harm.
If you think RPF is simply limited to 50 Shades-style Y/N fanfiction or thirst blogs, you are sorely mistaken. The brutal reality is that, yeah. People who enjoy rape fantasies and RPF can and do combine those two things. People with hardcore kinks can and do imagine them involving real people.
I’m tired of people making awareness posts about big names like the voice actor Tara Strong and include her internet posts over fictional characters along with some more concerning stuff, such as her support for PETA, Autism speaks or Israel
Making weird posts about fictional cousins kissing in 2014 is not important. Being a troll over the characters she voiced is not important. Stuff like this doesn’t automatically make her a bad person.
but the rest of the stuff mentioned however is important, and her support for all of them makes her a bad person. Just focus on that if you want to make awareness posts
Unfortunately most people will scramble to collect any minute piece of "evidence" they can against someone in order to try and solidify their claims and force people to agree with their campaign. Often this will include anything from their taste in music to the books they read/write.
Modern internet culture is placing far too much weight on what people like as a determining factor in what kind of person they are or defining them as a person.
The best thing to do in situations like that is counter the information. Force people to address the actual points within the posts, rather than the unnecessary information. Force the conversation the stay on certain subjects and allow those to overshadow what is irrelevant.
Last I checked tumblr doesn't allow links to be sent via ask, and this could be found with a Google search, but here. Hope this goes through. dontreblogbigots . tumblr . com/post/662890014546460672/prismatic-bell-is-a-zionist-among-other-things
Tumblr removed the ability to hyperlink in asks, but you can still just paste the link as plain text in the askbox. No need for spaces or breaks. At one point it had also removed the ability to paste a link, but that only lasted about three days.
I'll do my research on the matter. (The blog, not the linking.)
