Me: Hey, So, Actually, For The Sake Of Me Not Killing Myself I Would Actually Love Spaces Where I Can
Me: Hey, so, actually, for the sake of me not killing myself I would actually love spaces where I can play Animal Crossing or share baking recipes or talk about Captain America showing hole for Iron Man without people sending videos of dead children and police brutality and trauma-dumping their personal issues on me. I also think its important over-all for these spaces to exist and be accessible and protected. Random Idiots Online: So you're a white-privileged racist? You know everything is political, right? You want us to just co-exist with bigots? What about my uncle's daughter's best friend's queer goldish?? What about people being blatantly transphobic in the chat? You're just going to say you hate all black people like that? White pig.

Saying someone has "zero brain cells present" because you didn't understand their addition to a post doesn't seem like a very good way to "facilitate collected, open-minded discussions between opposing or conflicting views". The addition was clearly about how some fandom spaces are so separated from reality that they end up treating fandom drama like shipping as some huge priority to sink effort into and how arguing over a ship will somehow make the world a better place. It won't and some fan areas would do well to keep it all in perspective and have a reality check over what's an actual problem in life. What a mean spirited blog you run if this is how you treat anyone trying to interact with the topics you bring up.

Its the tag I use so people can block my more nonsensical or argumentative reblogs if that's not something they want to see. Its also pretty accurate, frankly. If you get that tag, you've earned it.
I understood it perfectly. I also understood it was a completely irrelevant and pointless addition to the post because it directly contradicts the very nature of the post.
If you look back through the reblogs you'll see well over a hundred other people have done the exact same thing and been given the exact same response. If you say something stupid on my posts, beyond a certain point I will simply react as I see fit.
I do not care that I've hurt your feelings or theirs. Life is unfortunate that way sometimes. Its not mean spirited. Its called reaching the threshold of my patience.
Responding to someone saying people need respite by essentially regurgitating that they're allowed respite as long as they never ever forget that people are being murdered and as long as people are forced to moderate how much respite they need is... Really not the kind of moral victory the reblogger thought it was.
People are entitled to respite. Period. As much of it as they need. Respite doesn't magically erase the knowledge that the world is burning. We don't need people like that reblogger permitting us respite as long as we only take just enough of it to reach that shitty perfect balance they have in mind.
Once activism becomes forced it is no longer activism and it is no longer as effective. Also, waving around one of those very same world issues as some kind of brownie point to your argument is disgusting.
(Free Palestine anon)
Ok so...Idk if you're jewish and/or have much knowledge about this kind of prejudice, but do you have advice for how to avoid (or at least to pay attention) in case a certain post has some antisemetic misinformation?
(If you didn't understand, I could try to make it clear)
If you're asking how to avoid misinformation in posts, the answer is the same as with any validity verification of information:
Check who is posting it. Do they post a lot of contradictory information? Do they claim to be a certain ethnicity, religion, race, ect? Do they speak in certain ways? Do they post or reblog a lot of the same content or information? Are they politically bias? (E.g; they might claim to be British but is the way they speak distinctly Irish or American?)
Research the information given in the post for yourself. Make sure to look at a variety of sources, not just one. Is there a lot of people referencing this information? Has anyone called this information false on other platforms? Can you find any evidence to support the information given? Are there news articles, broadcasts, ect?
If you like to have breaks from subjects of an upsetting nature but still want to remain informed, consider creating a second account where you can follow a multitude of people who's primary focus is what you want to be informed about. This way you can use that blog to fact check, investigate, follow people, source and so forth while not having the entirety of your dashboard on your "main" account flooded constantly with content you may not be in the mindset to see.
yo, are ye in any gamin fandom, or what dya like to watch/read?
Gaming-wise I'm pretty versatile. Genshin and Wuthering Waves (try as I might, the turn-based combat and limited world exploration in Honkai bored me) are my usual pass-the-times.
Red Dead, COD and The Forest are some of the ones I play when I really want to settle down and game. BG3 is on my to-get list.
Reading-wise I'm currently reading Talking with Psychopaths and Savages. Its actually a really interesting read and I'd highly recommend it, even if you're only casually into psychology. Its a more brutally honest and personal delve into dealing with and being around true psychopaths and the intricacies of living in total apathy. Its a mixture of clinical and just... Talking, which I find pleasant and easier to follow.
Fandoms I sort of bounce around like a marble. I'll look into anything and I try to stay peripherally aware of most fandoms since that's somewhat essential to this blog.
Can I tell you why I don't like the anti community anymore? It's okay if you don't but I just need to get it off my chest given I saw someone acting like a victim when their blog was deleted for targeted bullying lol.
But it shouldn't have taken me as long as it did to realize, but I've watched anti's for a while - especially a handful in the ficitonal other / self shipping community, who just absolutely vague and bully those who don't agree with them off this website and out of the comm. It's a community that's supposed to be safe and comfortable with the idea of shipping with fiction characters but 'oh no if you ship with that one you're problematic, you will be vagued about it and we will do everything possible to put you don't til you leave or we start targeted harassment til you're forced to leave'.
It's so wild to me that this space, any space, that preaches being as inclusive as possible and non-judgemental has a long, long list of rules of what can and can not be and if you over step that line, you will no longer be allowed within that space. Their anti space is super bad this kind of stuff. They sit on the idea of being 'morally better' while also being absolutely nasty, not communicating properly when something makes them uncomfortable ( ie making the choice to vague post instead ) and bullying everyone who disagrees with them.
I don't know. It just bothers me so much. You hate to see it but if I had to say 'this is what changed my perspective', that would be it. How can on think themselves the 'moral better' while making others feel like the lowest dirt and isolating them from the community they enjoyed?
Welcome, oh ye enlightened one.
(But on a more serious note, yeah. Most anti spaces are just a cesspit of people tearing apart the weakest link and scrambling to be the Pure One.)
Fucking insane how people will see something I post that they agree with but they have to virtue signal that they're not a proshipper before expressing their agreement/support even when the post has nothing to do with proshipping.
