Unexpected (part 2)
Two days have passed since Clint was saved by Jason. And for some reason, he still can't get the vigilante out of his mind.
Natasha teased him about it but he knows that if she sees Jason in action, she would be intrigued as well.
The way he fought was mesmerizing. Every bullet that was shot was so precisely aimed that the wounds weren't deadly.
Sure it knocked them out, but they weren't gonna die.
That form of marksmanship was only earned through years of hard work. And Clint's worked with Bucky enough times to know that Jason somehow predicted the next move of the attackers, aiming at the non-lethal body parts.
He has a feeling that Bucky and Jason would make an incredible duo.
Which is why he needs them to meet.
Clint doesn't usually do this but the more he thought about the bucket-wearing vigilante, the higher his list of questions got.
He took out his phone, leaning against the couch as he searched for the man that saved him.
vigilante wearing red bucket
He scrolled through google trying to find a decent article on the guy.
After thirty whole minutes of barely finding information, Clint wanted to throw his phone across the room. So far, all he's figured out was that Jason's territory was in Gotham and that his vigilante name is 'Red Hood'.
Which was... creative in a way?
At least it wasn't 'Red Bucket' or 'Bucket Head' or anything like that. It was definitely better than 'Green Arrow'.
After another failed search, he decided to finally give up. There was nothing about Red Hood. All the articles were mainly about Batman, Nightwing, a restaurant place, and a Robin!
He groaned and put his face in his hands. He doesn't care about those overrated heroes, he wants to find out more about Red Hood.
The guy was so cool... he wonders why there were barely any pieces written about him. The few sentences that he's read about the vigilante almost always depicted him in a bad light.
Which was honestly unfair.
He stared at his phone, contemplating on whether or not he should ask Natasha.
On the positive side, he knows that the assassin would have information on Red Hood. Natasha has information on everyone.
But...
Clint didn't want Natasha to tease him even more! If she keeps up with the sarcastic comments then the other Avengers would be curious. And curious Avengers meant nosy people.
He felt himself shiver, really nosy people.
He swears that if he had a sister— older or younger, they would act exactly like how Natasha was acting right now.
He could practically imagine the smirk she was wearing on her face when she picked up.
"Hey, Clint." she casually greeted, "How are you?"
He refrained from gritting his teeth, "I'm doing good." he paused, eyes closing as he took a breath in, this hurt to admit. "I need your help."
"I know."
"What do you know about the Red Hood?"
"The Red Hood?" she hummed under her breath, "Let's see."
Clint heard her moving things around, then he could distinctly hear the noise of paper being flipped. "Do you just have documents of random vigilantes lying around your room?" he couldn't help but ask. "Is this an assassin thing?"
Does Bucky do this too?
"I'm getting you the information you need." she reminded, "How I keep track of the data I have is none of your business."
"Okay, okay." he surrendered, a smile making its way onto his face. "But why don't you just keep it on a computer? Wouldn't that make things easier for you?"
She ignored his question, "Red Hood is an excellent marksman," she stated. "He made his debut as a crime lord by showing a bunch of people a duffel bag filled with the heads of notorious criminals."
Clint let out a whistle, "That is an intense introduction. He's even better than I thought he would be."
"Yeah," Natasha agreed. "He's easily one of the most dangerous and capable vigilantes in Gotham. In a matter of months, he's managed to bring crime down Crime Alley by at least fifty percent. Something that Batman himself, couldn't do. His methods were vicious, but they worked. Extremely well. He's killed a lot of child molesters, human traffickers, and rapists."
Even though Natasha couldn't see him, he tilted his head to the side, biting the inside of his cheek. Clint could care less about what methods Jason used. If they worked, they worked. And it's not like those criminals didn't deserve it. It's just-
Killing takes a lot out of you. Especially when you're young. Clint would know.
He had no doubt in his head that Jason was an incredible fighter. Not to mention that he was also huge— in both height and muscle.
He can see why he has a majority of Gotham fooled.
But, for about a minute, after they won against the ninjas, Jason removed his helmet in order to get a breath of fresh air.
A mask might've been covering his eyes, but Clint's been in the vigilante business for years now. He remembers clear as day, just how young the vigilante looked under the sun.
When Clint first started, he was thankful that he had Natasha to talk to whenever things got hard. Whenever he felt guilty for taking someone's life. No matter how much they deserved it.
Hell, he's still thankful for Natasha now. Without her, Clint would probably be dead. His body found bleeding out in an abandoned area, a neat row of scars on his thighs and arms.
He hopes that Jason has a friend like Natasha. Someone who'd be there for him no matter what. Someone who'd remind him that he was worth it. That he was loved.
Cause if not, then there is no way that the kid is okay.
Natasha's sharp voice interrupted his thoughts, "That was a few years ago. As far as I know, he doesn't kill anymore. The farthest that Hood would go now would be to permanently cripple someone. And even then, he would only do that when the person did something unforgivable."
After a few seconds of silence, Clint opened his mouth. "Is that it?" he couldn't help but question.
"Nope," Natasha admitted. "But it's all I'm willing to tell you."
"Fine then," he smirked. "Keep your assassiny secrets. I got more than I expected anyways."
"What did you get yourself into, Clint? Why all the sudden interest in him? Why all the sudden interest in a vigilante in Gotham?"
He knows that Natasha was just looking out for him. She was worried. "Do you remember a few days ago when I was saved by this Jason guy?" he asked.
"Yeah? You've been talking about him nonstop. He saved your ass and you gave him your number." she paused before adding, "Your private one."
He nodded, "Yeah. Well, he's the Red Hood."
"You're kidding."
"Nope. I searched him up and he had the same costume and everything."
"And he actually said that his name was Jason?"
"Yep." he tried to casually say, "It's probably cause Jason's a popular name and stuff."
"Maybe." Natasha hesitantly agreed, "But anyway, since you gave him your number, I think you should know that I've always wanted to meet him so if he texts you soon..."
Her voice trailed off and Clint couldn't hold in his sigh, "Yeah, yeah. I'll arrange a meet-up or whatever."
Her voice automatically brightened, "Actually?"
The corner of his mouth lifted, "Sure. But I wanted to introduce him to Bucky first."
Natasha made a shocked sound of betrayal, "Wha- but Clint!" she whined, "I'm the one who's asking. Not him."
"I know."
It took everything in him to stop the laugh from escaping his mouth.
Complaints about how unfair Clint was being made their way onto his ears and he relished each and every one of them. It wasn't often that he had something Natasha wanted.
Revenge was sweet.
After a few minutes, he let out an incredibly fake gasp. "Sorry, Natasha. I gotta go. I have a kitchen emergency."
"What the fuck, Clint." she demanded, "You don't even know how to cook. Remember the omelet incident? What emerg-"
He hung up.
Clint's definitely going to regret ending the call later. He knows it.
But right now, he could care less.
He has something Natasha wants, so she won't murder him.
... hopefully.
He hopes that he runs into the vigilante soon. Jason was cool and pretty fun to talk to. Clint definitely won't mind fighting at Red Hood's side once more.
They worked really well together.
While they were fighting, he knew that Jason was gonna have his back. He knew that Jason wasn't gonna let him get hurt. It was weird, considering that was the first encounter he's ever had with him.
He doesn't know when Jason is gonna decide to use his number, but he hopes that it'll be soon.
He has questions. And whenever Jason was ready, Clint hopes that he can answer.
Starting with the one that's been clouding his head; why did the Red Hood stop killing?

notes:
okay, I didn’t expect to write a chapter this soon. but reading all the comments you guys left on the previous chapter motivated me. to be honest, I didn’t expect this fanfic to get as many hits as it did.
I don’t know when I’m planning on posting this chapter but right now, my goal is to write as much as I can.
I also don’t know exactly how busy my sophomore year of high school will be, but I feel like it’s better to be safe than sorry. Especially if I make the school volleyball team.
I finished writing this chapter on August 8th, and I have tryouts on the 9th through the 11th from 4-6 pm. (wish me luck!)
like always, please, please, please, leave a comment. i love reading them and they just motivate me so much! Whenever I get author’s block, I just re-read them and they help so, so much. If you don’t wanna leave a comment, that’s fine. If you liked this fanfic, please hit that kudos button though.
and if you just wanna chat or if you want to request any ideas or prompts, just message me here.
ooh, and if there’s anything specific you want to read in this series, please tell me. It never hurts to have any extra ideas. plus, I really want to make this fic more enjoyable for everyone.

Chapter 15
If Adrien knew that it would be this easy to get Ladybug to go on a date with him, he would’ve threatened her a lot sooner.
At first, he thought that she was one of those girls who preferred someone who was charming. Someone who she believed would drop anything to help her. So he became that person. Chat Noir played his golden boy persona to the max.
But Ladybug…
She was playing hard to get. And he didn’t mind it. He loved a good chase.
Don’t get him wrong, it was fun to play with the girls that he has wrapped around his fingers. It made his heart pound with glee to know that if he wanted them to jump off the top of the Eiffel Tower, they would do it.
His mom was one of the world’s most talented actresses and his dad built his fashion empire with nothing but papers, pencils, and his own brutality.
They carved out a path of success for Adrien, and he would be an idiot to not take advantage of it.
Ever since he was a kid, he learned how to use his looks to his advantage. Every smile, laugh, and look he made was calculated to create the persona he wore to this day.
At the age of fifteen, Adrien Agreste was one of the world’s most well-known models. His face was power. A furrow of his eyebrow could cause businesses to go bankrupt. With a snap of his fingers, he could ruin anyone’s future.
A single smile from him could cause so many girls to faint.
Chloe, Lila, Marinette, and so many more were trapped in the web of lies he designed. They were nothing but entertainment for when he was bored.
It was so fun watching people like Marinette trip over themselves
But with all her flaws came a few good things.
She was hot, for one. After he had Ladybug under his control, he might go after her next. She was a bit shy but those Instagram pictures she posted a few days ago made him appreciate more of her physical assets.
Marinette was also a wonderful designer. His dad was impressed with her designs. With enough time, he could convince her to sign a contract with Gabriel.
Her designs would be world-famous… it just wouldn’t be under her name.
Adrien was chosen for the cat miraculous for a reason.
He was destruction to the core.
His smile grew sharp in the dark as he led Ladybug to their spot.
She looked exquisite tonight.
Her skin-tight suit hugged her body in all the right places. With enough patience and time under his control, Adrien’s hands would be able to roam against her skin whenever he wants.
He wanted to laugh, this game was so simple. He’s done it so many times.
When they were both seated in the blanket he laid out, he made sure that his body language was open and friendly. He needed Ladybug to believe that she was safe. With him.
“What did you have in that basket of yours, m’lady?” he purred, purposely making his voice deeper.
Adrien watched with satisfaction as Ladybug’s face flushed. Red really was her color.
When they became the power couple of Paris, he would make sure to fill her closet with that color. He couldn’t have a girlfriend who embarrassed him, after all.
He had an image to play.
But right now, Adrien was sure that Ladybug wouldn’t mind if he kept their relationship a secret. She wasn’t the only good-looking girl out there.
Someone like him couldn’t stay with only one girl.
With his looks and his talents, Ladybug should be lucky that he even paid attention to her.
He might’ve liked a good chase but sometimes the chase goes on longer than he wants.
And he hated it when he didn’t get what he wanted.
Ladybug wants one thing. She wants to save Paris.
Akumas are one thing, but without Chat Noir, Ladybug would never be able to win against Hawk Moth.
It was the perfect thing to exploit.
“O-oh, uhm. I just got us a bunch of sweets.” Her voice was soft and when she gave him a sheepish smile, he had to hold himself back from pinning her down and forcing their mouth together. “I thought that we could talk. Just like what we used to do.”
Adrien could work with that.
He brushed his hand against her thigh, “That sounds like a splendid idea.”
Ladybug’s eyes brightened, and if he was anyone else, he would’ve done anything to keep them like that.
But he wasn’t just anyone else. He was the Adrien Agreste.
And he wanted to diminish that light. To break his lady down so bad that she would be forced to rely on no one but him. He would make her believe that no one else could make her happier than he could. Make her believe that she couldn’t live without him.
He took the cookie from Ladybug, taking a small bite as Ladybug’s melodic voice filled the air.

Note:
So we finally have a chapter with Adrien’s perspective. He’s a bit conceited, don’t you think. What can I say, like father like son.
But I hope you guys are proud of me once more. That’s three chapters in a single row. I guess you can say that I found a bit of inspiration thanks to your suggestions. So if you have any more, please comment them. They help me out a lot.
And like always, please comment your thoughts, feedback, and of course, suggestions. If you see any mistakes, please tell me. I don't have a beta reader so that'll make my life a lot easier.
(And if you want to be one, please send me a message on here)
Gossip Girls! Avengers High School AU
I finally watched Gossip Girls and my most recent hyperfixation were Tony Stark Cetric High School AUs. I was thinking and thought, "Why not combine the two of them together?" What do you guys think?
I feel like it'll be super fun to write and I'm leaning towards stuckony being the main ship. I have so many ideas and I can't wait to start writing.
Hopefully people will enjoy. Also, if you're interested, let me know. And if you have anything you think I should include in the AU, leave a comment. I wanna read it.

We’re Tired of Him (part 5)
Jason frowned as he studied the scene in front of him. Everyone was fighting each other on who should ask the kid the first question.
The room was loud and…
His eyes turned to the couch where Damian resided, frowning as he replayed the earlier events.
Damian was off.
The intense look on his face softened by a fraction when he realized that this was the calmest he has ever seen Damian. The kid looked
like the kid he was supposed to be. As if he was just about to take a nap after a stressful day at school.
And wasn’t that fucked up?
The most at peace he’s ever seen Damian was when he was drugged up and drunk.
Jason felt someone watching him. When he turned, he met Tim’s eyes for a brief second before Tim quickly turned away, frustrated and… jealous?
He scoffed to himself. Now he knew that he was definitely imagining things. What would Tim even be jealous of?
“Look,” Tim practically snarled at the room. “I know that all of you had a bad experience with Damian’s normal Damian-ess.” Eyes followed Tim as he walked around the room, “But you guys weren’t the ones that he tried to murder.” Tim paused before adding, “Multiple times.”
Jason tried to keep his body language at ease. It never made sense to him that Tim forgave Jason but never Damian.
The room was quiet before Wally spoke up. “Go ahead, then.”
Tim walked towards Damian and he didn’t care enough to hide the grin forming on his face as he felt the room watching him.
He stopped in front of the brat, who was about to fall asleep. Tim rolled his eyes. Was it past the kid’s bedtime or something?
Tim wanted to slap Damian awake. Wanted to look down at him as he stared up at him, all bleary-eyed and hurt. That would’ve just been the beginning.
But Tim knew he couldn’t. Not with Dick and Jason watching him.
Jason.
He saw how the man looked at Damian with that stupid softened expression that was and should only be reserved for Tim!
He closed his eyes for a few seconds and let out a breath.
Tim gently shook Damian awake.
The brat squinted up at Tim and tilted his head to the side. It was cute, even he could admit that. But Tim also knew the truth.
Behind that face was nothing but the fucking devil.
Damian’s eyes were unfocused and Tim decided that it would be the perfect time to ask his question.
“Why did you try to kill me?”
Tim’s voice cracked and it was full of so much insecurity that even Dick couldn’t hide his flinch.
He knew that Tim still wasn’t over that incident but he thought that his youngest brothers were making progress. Sure it was small. But at least it was still there.
Right?
He brought his hands up to his face. What would Star do?
“My mom told me to do it,” Damian answered.
If Dick thought that the room was quiet before, it was completely silent now.
His eyes watched as Tim clenched his fists.
Dick’s eyes met Jason's who nodded in understanding.
All Tim could see was red.
“What do you mean your mom told you to do it?” His voice grew louder, angrier. “I went through all that just because you followed mommy’s orders? WHAT ARE YOU? SOME SORT OF FUCKING PUPPET?”
Tim could see small tears begin to form in Damian’s eyes and he relished in it.
He scoffed, “Well Dami.” he spat the brat’s name with as much disgust as he could muster. “Aren’t you gonna be a good little puppet and answer my question?”
Tears ran down Damian's face as he responded. “Yeah,” he whispered, trying to wipe the tears off his face. “I was bred and raised to be the perfect soldier. To follow orders and to follow them with no hesitation. If I didn’t…” Damian’s voice trailed off, something getting caught in his throat.
Before Tim could tell Damian to hurry up and answer the damn question, someone beat him to it. “What happens if you don't follow orders, Damian?”
Jason asked the question softly as he gestured for someone to grab him a cup of water.
Not even a second later, a cup was in his hand. He knelt on the floor so he could gently tilt the water into Damian’s mouth, wiping as many tears as he could running down his face.
“Thank you.” the kid murmured to him.
Jason gave him a small smile, “Always.” he assured before his face grew serious again. “But can you answer my question? Please.”
Dick saw the pointed look Jason sent him.
Change of plans, he guessed.
He stood up, heading towards Tim. No one noticed as they were too busy staring at Jason and Damian.
Tim was staring at the two of them too, not even acknowledging Dick as he led them back to the other seats.
It became obvious that Damian didn’t want to answer the question. Wally ran a hand through his hair. This was taking too long. He wanted it to be his turn.
The drink they gave to Damian at the beginning of the night was obviously not enough. And if anyone asked if he added more alcohol to the drink he handed to Jason earlier, he would deny it.
No harm, no foul.
“Since the brats not answering your question.” he yelled out, “Can it be our turn?” he gestured to the rest of the Teen Titans who looked bored out of their minds.
Jason looked like he wanted to argue but Tim sighed. “Just let them have their turn, Jay. We can coax the answer out of the brat, later.”
Jason’s eyes narrowed, “Fine.” Tim’s eyes lit up and he patted the seat next to him. Jason took the hint and sat next to his brother.
It was obvious that Jason was still lost in his thoughts but Tim didn’t care. Jason was next to him. Acting brotherly towards Tim. Not Damian, him.
“So Damian,” Wally leaned forward and he could see just how red Damian’s eyes were. He hoped that the camera was getting a clear view of this. “How do you feel about the team?”
“They don’t like me.”
That was all Damian said. It was clear, precise, and straight to the point.
Tim scoffed, “At least he’s aware.” he whispered under his breath.
Jason nudged him and sent Tim a warning look. Tim scowled.
Dick spoke up, this was the opening he was looking for. “Do you know why?”
Damian didn’t answer.
“Even while he’s drunk, he can’t follow directions.”
Dick ignored that remark. “Come on, Dami.” Dick urged, trying to get the answer out of his little brother. “Do you know why your team doesn’t like you?”
Damian's body began to tremble and tears began forming in his eyes once more. He clenched his fists, “Cause I’m stupid and useless and I can’t do anything right.” he attempted to wipe his tears away but more just came coming. “I tried to get them to like me,” he confessed. “But it didn’t work.”
Maybe it was because of how pathetic Damian looked but even Wally began to feel bad.
“What do you mean you tried to get us to like you?” Crush asked.
“I apologized.” Damian started, “And I know it wasn’t enough so I tried to start a conversation. Tried to connect with them. But it didn’t work either.” Damian stared at his hands, “I asked Alfred for tips on how to make friends and he told me that giving people food was always the right answer. So I did. I baked items to give to them and I thought it worked. But-“
Damian looked away. Dick could tell that Damian didn’t want to continue but he needed to know more. “But,” he pried. “What happened, Dami.”
“It was after a mission briefing. And everyone left for a team bonding activity that I wasn’t invited to. I had to throw something away and they were all there.” Damian sniffled, wiping more tears away from his eyes. “I worked so hard on them.” he blurted out. “And they were unopened. They didn’t even give it a try.”
Wally turned to face the Titans and he could see the conflicted emotions crossing on their face. Hell, he could feel the conflicted emotions going through him now.
He remembered the day Damian was talking about. How could he not? He was the one that convinced the others that the food might’ve been poisoned.
Wally was also the one that “unintentionally” raised his voice to talk about the place where the team was going. And how happy everyone was that the br- kid wasn’t going.
No one spoke for a while.
Jason shut his eyes. He knew that he wouldn’t like the answer to this question. But he needed to know.
“How do you think me, Dick, and Tim feel about you?”
“You guys hate me.” Damian whispered, “Father wishes I was more like all of you. But I don’t know how. And when I do try to become like you, it’s never enough.”
“No.” He heard Dick whisper in disbelief. “Dami, you’re wrong.”
If Damian heard the eldest Robin, he didn’t acknowledge it. “He thinks you guys are perfect. And you don’t-“ his voice cracked. “And you don’t even have to try.”
“Dam-“ Tim tried to interject but Damian ignored him.
“It’s not fair!” Damian lashed out. “Father wishes I got along with you guys. But when I try, it doesn’t work. I always mess things up.”
“That’s not true.” Jason found himself murmuring.
“That’s why I’m not invited to your bonding sessions. That’s why you guys always call me a demon and a brat. That’s why whenever you guys talk about me, my name always gets insulted.” Damian shut his eyes. “I don’t get it.” He admitted. “I was raised to be perfect. But it's like everything I do turns out to be a mistake.”
Dick wanted to speak up. To tell Damian that he was wrong. That he wasn’t a mistake. But his mouth wouldn’t open.
He could only listen as Damian continued to talk. No one else had the guts to stop him.
“Do you think that’s why Ummi sent me away?” Damian quietly asked, “Because I wasn’t good enough? Because I wasn’t perfect.”
Damian was talking to himself now. Dick didn’t know who this Ummi was and he didn’t think that anyone else did either.
“Sometimes, I wonder if I was sent here as a punishment,” Damian admitted. "I don't know what I did wrong but I think I was punished enough." His voice lowered. "So why won't my Ummi take me away?'
That brought Jason out of his trance and Dick watched as Jason moved to console the youngest bat. He wrapped his arms around the kid, not caring how his shirt was damp from tears. His eyes were shut as if Jason was trying to hold back his own tears.
It was like the events of the night just crashed into everyone’s heads as they turned to look at each other and back to Damian in Jason’s arms.
They fucked up.
