I present: The Charm Cat and His Queen.
-O-o-O-
Paws on tile, silent.
The queen's at his ablutions.
Steam veils his visage.
-O-o-O-
The cat's tail unfurls.
Heat rises in their chamber.
Now the queen disrobes.
-O-o-O-
A wand in a stream.
His queen kneels before the throne.
"Meowth, I'm m-pregged."
-O-o-O-
Warm cascades issue.
Kittens surf the afterbirth.
Eat the placenta.
-O-o-O-
It got spicy at the end.
I think it needs to be said more that fic writers are not there to cater to a particular reader’s interests, and they shouldn’t be expected to. If you find a fic you enjoy, it’s because in that moment your interests overlap with the writer’s, not because they specifically created it for you, and it’s a healthy boundary to keep. Readers shouldn’t get insulted if the writer posts a fic that doesn’t align with their interests or fandoms; it’s not meant as a personal slight or anything, it’s just the writer writing for themselves, the way they’ve been doing all along.
It’s really easy to get invested in a fic or a writer and feel close to them because of it, or to have a lot of interests that align with a writer’s and make assumptions about how a fic is going to go/what they’re going to write because of it, but…not everything is for you specifically, and learning that makes things easier for everyone involved. It’s not a slight, and it’s not an insult. It’s just the Venn diagram of fandom and interests overlapping in some places but not others.
I have an ao3 account now.
while trying to summon the haiku bot, i got inspired
So now you get haiku-ish arrangements of words about blueshipping.
-O-o-O-
Meowth, the charmed cat.
James, his quirky human queen.
Sailing the blue ship.
-O-o-O-
He did it again.
Went and fell for a rich kid.
Who needs Meowzie?
-O-o-O-
The lovers blast off.
"Get a room," Jessie tells them.
A tent is fine, too.
-O-o-O-
A tryst in the woods.
"What's that rustling in the bush?"
Oh, shit. It's the twerps.
-O-o-O-
A breeze up his skirt.
The tom cat fondles his queen.
"Oh, my, that tickles!"
-O-o-O-
This is not Professor Oak's poetry.
I love abusive ships, probably a bit too much, but do you know what I also love??
Where you'd think a ship would be abusive as fuck and its actually healthy. Like, the two most toxic blorbos you know get together and everyone is expecting the nasty divorce. It never comes. Instead, the two of them start a cult/mlm scheme together.
