You cannot convince me otherwise. Lily and James were 19 when they got pregnant. There’s no way that was on purpose. 

Please picture it. 

Lily tells James they’re pregnant. James panics, leaves, finds the other Marauders and demands a lads night, you know, no reason, just some drunken shenanigans for no reason at all with friends! Remus notices something seems a bit off and keeps an eye on his friend, but no one says anything. It’s only several hours later, when James is drunkenly crying and wailing on the floor, “He’s going to be so small! How can I protect him? SO SMALL!” that they realize what’s going on. They ask him if he is going to be alright. He sobs, tears and snot running down his face, and nods furiously. “This is the happiest I have ever been!” The others look at each other, shake their heads, and pull him to his feet. Sirius marches him back home to Lily, who has been waiting, scared, alone, and more than a little pissed off at her boyfriend for the better part of the night. She softens when she sees James drunkenly leaning on Sirius, Sirius shrugging in apology, because James is a mess but at least he’s home now. James falls to his knees in front of her and says, “I’m so sorry I ran off. I got scared. I’m still scared. But I’m happy too.” Lily can’t help but smile. “It’s alright, James, we’ll figure–” But James loudly shushes her and points at her stomach. “Wait. I’m talking to my son.” Lily glares at him and reminds him that it could be a daughter. Sirius adds, “Could be twins! Or quintuplets!” Lily glares more and tries not to laugh while James murmurs into her belly, “’M gonna ask your mum to marry me, but keep it secret ‘cause I have to buy a ring first. And a broom. Not for the wedding. For you. Do you like quidditch? You probably don’t know what that is yet. Don’t worry. I’ll teach you. I’ll teach you everything.”

i was reading you a book and had to stop for a drink of water. you looked up at me from my shoulder, your hand flat against my chest.

“you’re kind of like candles to me,” you said.

i looked down at you, and the shape of you, this person i trust so genuinely. i felt the ghost of my anxieties. a burnout, my brain screamed. you’re a fire, you destroy things.

“it’s just,” you said, “you know how when you light a candle it always seems to make things nice and soft and romantic? and it’s just this warmth that glows so gently? and it makes everything feel special and good so naturally?”

you shifted closer to me. “you’re like candles,” you said, “you bring light to me.”

Me : appreciating what bit of happiness i have because all things good are fleeting.

I feel like I'm sinking again. I laugh at boyfriend's jokes and stop midway feeling all hollow and empty. I'm the happiest I have ever been and yet I'm sinking again. Is this what happens to people who stay with toxic people for too long? I feel like I'm shackled to the walls and there's no way out except falling to the depths of this darkness.

In making this list, I very quickly realized that Taylor had a serious winning streak at the ACMs, since I included three outfits on this list of only 10 from that award show alone. 

I also want to specifically point out her dove grey tulle gown from the 2011 CMAs — an extremely underrated outing that doesn’t get nearly enough love. The wispy, soft grey alone is such a quietly stunning colour that she rarely ever wears as she usually opts for black or white or metallics — all of which are also seen here. 

My love for green and yellow both come into play, as well as a white hot streak — all of which set themselves apart thanks to impeccable styling. The 2012 ACMs for their beyond perfect hair and makeup, the 2012 MTV VMAs for its suit silhouette, and the 2013 People’s Choice for those earrings.
