Adult. Not a safe space for TERFs, the labrys flag is not your hate symbol by the way. I use this blog for whatever I want, mostly screaming into the void and uplifting obscure queer identities. Warframe and Sonic content likely. Scary transandrophobia truther. More in pinned. This Post Is To Remind Every Aroace Being That They Are Cool And Fine Just The Way You Are. You Are Not
This post is to remind every aroace being that they are cool and fine just the way you are. You are not less of a being for being romance and/or sex repulsed (if applicable), and you're not less aroace for being romance and/or sex favorable (if applicable). You deserve a space in this life, in queer communities, and aroace communities regardless of the amount of attraction you feel, if you're favorable, repulsed or something else, or if you seek/don't seek relationships with anybody.
This post is also for aroace systems with aroace fictives! Reminder that a fictive is their own person and, even if they are aroace like their source they may or may not be the same *kind* of aroace.

Someone left a hate comment on one of my posts, so ya know what that means: another positivity post!
m-spec lesbians/gays, lesboys, turigirls, and anyone else that is 'the reason the LGBTQ community gets mocked' are cool ASF and are an important part of the community. Fuck 'being valid' as a queer person; we're all invalid to bigots, and that doesn't mean shit. We're going to be here, we have always been here, and we're not going anywhere.
Nothing a blank 'hater' account says will change that, either.
Imagine a massive dog approaches you and just fucking goes 'miaw :3'
Not to downplay the positive message of this post with negativity, but that situation reminds me of how quickly otherkin and what have you are thrown under the bus by trans people, in order to uplift themselves. "Obviously nobody goes around thinking they're an animal, that's ridiculous! We trans people are supported by SCIENCE!' And while the latter statement about science is true it feels like further invalidation of nonhuman identities. I get the feeling of walking on eggshells around the trans people who say that kind of thing, because as a trans nonhuman entity I know part of my identity is a joke to even my fellow trans beings. It's really sad.
I had a coworker laugh today and say; "We can't line them up boy girl because what if one of them is non-binary or identifies as a wolf?"
This was a joke to her. A mockery of the very idea of being either of those things. She did not say this in the spirit of progression.
I had to sit there, both non-binary and non/alterhuman, realising that to this woman both of those things are linked. Not just linked, but identically ridiculous and worthy of mockery. Otherwise, why start laughing at the suggestion? Why would she and the person next to her be chuckling hard enough to go red? What was funny about the statement, other than the implied stupidity of the identities? Nobody else laughed, and the subject was quickly moved on and taken more seriously. Because yes actually, the person who brought it up had in fact at her last school stopped lining kids up boy-girl because it was pointlessly gendered and didn't always solve the 'messing about in the line' issue just because two kids of the 'same gender' were next to each other.
Anyway my point is, when people like this and many more like it already link queerness especially transness with non/alterhumanity in a negative way, I don't think we should be shy about doing it but in a positive way too. Let's reclaim this link between identities by promoting the beauty and validity of both of them.
Why are there people in 2024 who still make fun of otherkin beings? I think believing in a man in the sky who cares about us is more ridiculous than identifying as another creature, yet I don't go out of my way to insult the nearest Christian for their beliefs if they aren't a bigot. :/
Maybe I'm the only one who needs to hear this, but if you're semi verbal and use your voice as your main source of communication by 'default', that doesn't mean you're not semi verbal. I've gotten so used to using mouth words that I can, for the most part, force sentences out in bursts (which ends up fucking me over regardless of if it doesn't hit immediately). I speak in full sentences at the expense of my energy (and mood, and sensory threshold), because I feel self conscious otherwise. My thing is, if I can't speak in full sentences in a situation I just don't speak at all (which contributes to me avoiding social situations because it can get strenuous to hold a conversation, and fast).
I've been forcing speech less, though, because I'm working on undoing harmful habits from my masking; if I don't feel up to cranking words out, I will write my words down on paper or a whiteboard, or pull out my phone and contribute through texting. Sure it's frustrating to feel like I take more time to contribute when I technically could physically say my sentence (which, honestly, takes time too because I go around in circles and freeze and jumble words unless the sentence is a simple 'thank you' or a yes/no, or three words), but it has helped immensely to surround myself with people who are willing to take that time with me.
