I know this is random but neils most likely never seen the Adams family and know Andrew it's something that is a must have before he can he even consider saying they're dating. Andrews seen it a enough times to where even if he didn't have eidetic memory he could voice perfectly without any help, so he just watched Neil react to it and it's one of the greatest thing hes witnessed to this day. Neil fell in love with it and Andrew fell even more in love with Neil
(This was in my darfts and i wrote it a while ago, enjoy?)
Hi random thought!
What if Andrew has a whole fuck'n album of pictures dedicated to Neil, he also has screenshots of texts that meant the most to him. Not only that but what if Andrew kept voice mails from Neil to listen to when they're at different games and have to stay in a diffrent state. And this stuff isn't even anything monumental it's just random shit Neil's sent andrew like a picture of one of the cats face covering neils mouth and only showing his eyes.
One time for Andrew's birthday neil sent him a voice mail of him tiredly sing happy birthday and he just passes out and the voice mail ends.
Another is of him try to say good luck untill of of his teammates interups thinking it's his girlfriend and then the team joining in.
Neil sends random close up pictures of the cats to piss him off and Andrew retaliates with badly taken pictures of himself until neil responds with 'that's not fair'
Booktuber Andrew Minyard who absolutely rips apart debut writer Neil Josten's mafia novel for being unrealistic only for Neil to go through all the trouble of setting up a YouTube account so he could comment: "It's an autobiography."
Andrew refuses to back down in the comments but four months later someone manages to catch a screen grab of Neil sneaking around in the background in Andrew's latest monthly wrap up.
Just thought about the Foxes having a game where they try and find one another's mugshots and treat them like rare cards depending on difficulty to obtain.
The gran prize is finding Pre-Neil mugshots in the wild. Like sometimes they just find kids who kind of look like Neil but aren't actually him and sometimes Andrew comes with a mugshot of a kid who looks nothing like Neil and Neil's just like "Oh man, Maine was a weird time in my life."
I need the father of the twinyards trying to get in contact with them after Andrew became a famous goalkeeper and Aaron sending him a letter that says "fuck off"
Angsty thoughts about Neil and if he died at the hands of his father. If Stuart was a few minutes too late.
The foxes would not survive. By that point Dan and Matt had become parental figures in the form of best friends. They would see the quiet places Neil used to occupy and see it empty. No more little quips or questions would come from it. Matt would start sleeping in the girls room again because his room is too quiet. Seth and Neil both dead within the span of 8 months. Their empty beds would be a constant reminder that he couldn't deal with. Allison would lean on Renee like she did with Seth. Renee would push her own feelings behind as she checked on everyone else, making sure they were okay, that they would lean on each other and nothing harmful to themselves. Nicky would still be the connection the monsters have to the upperclassmen. He would keep them updated if Renee or Dan asked how they were doing but he would stay by them for the company only. Aaron and Andrew are quiet in their grief. Aaron would see how Neil's death effected his brother, but wouldn't understand anything more than Andrew lost someone he said he would protect. He would see what would happen if he left his brother. Kevin would be plagued with the truth. He would know the intimate details of how Neil was taken apart, even if they weren't true. He'd remember seeing Neil's father in the Evermore tower and his brain would supply images of Neil in this position. He'd go to Wymack and ask why a father would do such a thing, asking if Wymack would do it to him. Wymack would put the peices together and discover his long lost son in the form of a drunken striker grieving the loss of a brother. Wyamck should have been used to it. Hed lost all of his first pick foxes. Whether it was due to drugs, suicide, or something else. They were all gone. He had high hopes for Neil. Starting as a runaway with trust issues but made connections in the team. He pulled everyone together after Seths death. He pushed the team to be better. He even got through to Wymacks most difficult player. Andrew. Andrew. Andrew would barely make it. He would retreat into himself, allowing his apathy to take full control and let himself drown in his memories. He'd stop going to Wednesday meetings with Bee. Stop responding at all. The monsters would lose him. Renee would find him at the court starting at the pictures on the wall, trying to remind himself that Neil existed and he wasn't a hallucination that he clung to desperately trying to be seen. Neil existed. He was right here, documented on the walls of the Foxhole Court. Andrew contemplates suicide on more than one occasion. First was about a week after Neil's death. There was no funeral. Nothing. No one even acknowledged it other than to say the Foxes forfitted championships to the Ravens. But then Aaron came back and asked if he was going to return to Wednesday meetings with Bee, reminding Andrew of his promises. The next time was after graduation, Aaron going off to Med School and Kevin safe with his father as he played professional Exy. Andrew had gotten his degree, but it didn't mean anything to him. There was nothing for him left in the world. Aaron dropped him immediately and Kevin didn't hold up his end of the bargain. Bee kept telling him things would get easier over time, but that was a lie too. But then Renee texted him asking to meet up for lunch. She asked what his first memory was. He didn't hide, didn't sugar coat anything for her, told her the cold hard truth. Renee wasn't expecting the accuracy of his memory. Then she asked if he killed himself, how would Neil's memory live on? The pictures would eventually be covered up at the court, he would be forgotten in exy. That's when Andrew decided he'd live, if only for Neil's memory to live on with him.
Neil is used to switching up his handwriting to avoid it being recognizable, and he has mimicked the way different people write their letters so he can always switch it up more. This means he is completely capable of forging any of the Foxes’ handwriting or signature, and he is all too happy to use that fact for evil.
One must picture Riko Moriyama lying in his bed after Kevin finally escaped him. Headphones in his ears blasting "One is the loneliest number..."
Neil, Kevin, Andrew, Jeremy and Jean playing for the US Court is top tier.
But you know what's better?
Jean playing for France.
Change my mind.
Kevin who got sober and after he wins the US gold started an Exy little league. Neil and Andrew that although don’t get married (canon-wise), wear their matching armbands in symbolism of a ring. Dan and Matt who stayed in South Carolina and inherited the Foxhole Court, keep adding to the picture wall because the world didn’t end when it turned its back on you. Renee who travels the world to other countries to help but keeps Andrew’s daggers with her. Allison who begins a nonprofit to help kids like Seth get better. Nicky who started a family who only showed him love in Germany with Eric. Aaron and Katelyn who moved away and started a family but invite the Foxes every Christmas. Wymack and Abby who travel the nation to help other collages start their own Foxhole Court.
Despite the tragedies, the love that existed changed everything.

The sailing in Marseille has me thinking about Jean.
Bc we all know the foxes and any trojans present absolutely take him there once they've finished competing.
And Jean hates it at first. But just like he learned to love the sea again with the trojans he learns to love his home town with the rag tag group of misfits that have adopted him.
That park is no longer just where he went to hide from his father but also where Jeremy and Nicky span so hard in the roundabout that they puked and Cat and Leila taught Neil how to cartwheel.
That court is no longer just the one that sealed his sale to the moriyamas. Its also where the group plays a drunken scrimmage that has Kevin amd Dan giggling so hard they can't stand.
That bakery is not just the place he used to deliver for to buy treats for Elodie but also the place Renee and Andrew ate themselves into a sugar coma.
That beach is no longer just the place he used to sit and watch the waves with Elodie, its also the place he sat and watched his begrudgingly found family run, and laugh and play.
The Marseille of his childhood would still haunt him.
The Marseille of his adulthood would heal a tiny piece of his broken soul.
It would take a lot of reassurance from Neil that it's okay for both versions to co-exist.
It would take a magnet from Kevin, given with a firerce gleam to his eye.
It would take Jeremy's warm hands. Renee's knowing gaze and the others combined practiced distraction techniques.
He might never return. But he no longer let's it hold him in a chokehold.
Are exy players really just violent/jacked butterfly catchers?
Kevin Day: I’ll have your daughter home by eight, sir
Kevin Night: Your daughter calls me daddy too
that fic cleared my skin
aftg hc of the day: whenever neil has to leave for a game (before he and andrew are on the same pro team), andrew will sneak behind him and take shirts and toiletries and anything he can get his hands on out of neils bag. neil has his deodorant sticking out of a side pocket? nope, now it's on the kitchen counter. pants on the bed next to his bag? not anymore, they're on the top of the cat tower (sir appreciated that one, they were still warm out of the dryer). neil lowkey thinks he's going crazy until he sees andrew neatly rehanging his shirts in the exact order they were in before he folded every single one of them.
