Did some traditional today :] drew various rvb guys who i don't draw often

I normally get to a point in a special interest where I can draw characters off by heart without even thinking about it, currently that's Tucker and Tex, but I wanted to do some practice outside of those two to be able to include more of these guys in daily doodles

redrew an old peice today! (on accident)

made this bc I had just watched s18 and was positively miffed at what they did to my blorbos, drew the poses and then realised I was redrawing a piece from august last year (which is under the cut), very proud of how the armour turned out, first time using colouring pencils on a sketch, details turned out a lil fuzzy so I recomend zooming in on parts lol, but apart from that I'm really proud of this, especailly comparing it to the old one, I've made a lot of progress :]

(also as much as I still love this piece, I do now look at it and cringe at bits, mostly how the colours are and how they blend into the lineart lol)

Okay, bit of a long one that went from headcannon to a fic snippet as I wrote it but whatever.

So, it's a pretty common and cannon supported (from what i recall) take that Tuckington as a pairing can read eachother like picture books, they know eachothers tics, are really good at spotting them, etc.

However, I find it to be best (and very funny mostly) if taken to the hardest extreme, to the point where their weird silent communication but just looks like straight telepathy from the outside.

I like to envison this happening on Chorus because I think it would happen alot at practice and stuff, and the luitenants would be the most weirded out by it, (unlike the other Reds and Blues because honestly they're used to it), usally going something like this:

Wash is watching over practice, or rather he's supposed to be, his gaze instead catching on Tucker, maybe even tracking a little further down the aqua soilders torso than it really should as he stretches, preparing for his first lap.

Tucker glances over his shoulder mid stretch, barely catching the slight shift in the height of Wash's eyeline.

Tucker's left eye twitches, and his brows pinch slightly, ("Were you just?")

Wash's eyes widen just barely, relaxing away from his usual glare at training, and it's only for a half a second---

Tuckers already grinning, ("oh you so were.")and Wash's expression snaps back, attempting to hide the small panic of being caught as fast as possible. "I was not!"

"Yeah right! My eyes are up here, Wash!" Tucker called back, the rest of the training hall pausing to look between the two like a tennis match.

"I'll make you run laps." Wash threatened in one last ditch effort.

"What? So you can get a better view!?" Tucker mocked, standing up and already making a start on said laps.

Wash restrained a groan down to a sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose tightly as he willed his face not to go red.

"Uh, sir?" Palomo questioned, suddenly beside him.

"Yes Palomo?" Wash replied, not looking up.

"What the fuck was that?" He followed up, and Wash finally glanced up to find almost the entire stadium staring at him with a confused look, all except for Tucker, who was happily running his laps around the gym.

Fuck.

You can’t tell me Wash and Tucker don’t spout off dad jokes all day long.

Palomo: Hey, I’m curious—

Tucker: Hey Curious, I’m dad

Palomo: Are you serious?

Wash: No, he’s dad.

Palomo: Ugh! You guys are the worst

Tucker: I thought I was serious?

Palomo: That’s it! I’m done!

Wash: No, you’re curious

Tucker and Wash proceed to cackle at the symphony of groans they procure from everyone

Motorcyclist Tucker and Wash constantly knock their heads together because they want to kiss their boyfriend but keep forgetting they’re wearing helmets.

Wash will try to kiss Tucker’s cheek and accidentally hits him in the face because he’s still wearing his helmet. Tucker tries to kiss Wash’s back when he’s backpacking and just thunks against his shoulder really hard instead. They both try to kiss while they’re parked at a gas station and bonk their helmets together.

It doesn’t matter how long they’ve been riding for or how long they’ve been together, they keep bashing their heads together. They’re just really eager to kiss their boyfriend, okay? They can hardly be blamed if they forget to take off their helmets in the process.

The Reds and Blues are assholes, that much is known by anyone who gets the pleasure of getting to know them.

But there are moments when that mask of theirs falls, where the feelings they have for their teammates get pushed up for all to see. Because when you spend years with the same ten people, getting to know their quirks, their history, spending hour after hour, day after day, you kind of get attached.

So it makes sense that after all the time spent together, all the years they spent teasing and joking and sitting around with each other with no reprieve, that they'd get a little protective of each other from time to time.

There's been days where someone says something mean enough to make Caboose cry and suddenly they have Tucker and Grif roasting them into oblivion and threatening their entire family line. There's times when someone grabs Tucker a little too roughly and make him wince and suddenly Wash is at their shoulder yanking them away with a glare that could turn a man to stone. There's incidents where someone starts shoving Simmons around and Sarge cocks his shotgun and fires at their feet until they scatter away.

Yeah, they're assholes to each other. Yeah, they don't always get along. But when it counts, when it comes down to it, they're always gonna look out for each other.

ok two posts in one day, but I'm back on my bs so who cares. I've been thinking a lot about Tuckington as husbands, mostly all of the domestic shenanigans and the dynamics of it, so here's some of that:

-I think during retirement they'd start gaming together a lot, Tucker leans towards action titles and shooters and Wash while okay with those games, and actually pretty good at them, usually prefers cozy games and life simulators (animal crossing, stardew valley, etc), so they usually find a balance by playing RPG's together, with the occasional horror game when Tucker can convince Wash (also they have a shared minecraft world with like, 300 hours on it collectively).

-Related to this, Tucker 100% manages to get Wash to fall for dumb puns and those bad "ligma" jokes due to Wash not experiencing them very often thanks to spending most of his 20's in the military/project freelancer rather than like, college or something, and Tucker revels in it because it's the most he's ever been able to pull them off, and they usually go something like this:

Tucker (playing through a game on the couch with Wash on the other controller, exploring a new area) : Oh hey, there's some up-dog in here.

Wash (following behind Tucker's character, entirely genuine): What's up-dog?

Tucker (with the most shit eating grin imaginable): Nothing much man, what's up with you?

Wash: *actively opening the options menu to punch Tucker's character in the face*

Anyway, they're very big collective dorks to me once their married, something something they match each others freak/bring out the nerd in each other, I might write this eventually. (lying)
