Let's examine this wonderful passage:

Elain looks like she is dying in black. It's written here, by SJM herself, so don't come at me for this.

Cassian said "No matter how much she claimed to be part of this court", she claimed to be, he never said she was part of this court. She is the one claiming to be.

Then, her modest gown. I don't have anything about Elain or her modest gown, I'm just saying that the whole pourpose of the IC is to give people a heart attack when they show up magnificent and showing skin. Elain is not fitted to do that (but I don't doubt that if she were to wear a revealing outfit, she'd look awesome)

Black does not suit Elain. She need sunshine- yes, sunshine. And yes, there is sunshine in the night court but she doesn't fit there. Everybody says it.

What are shadows? black, part of the night. What is Azriel? An Illyrian, part of the night court, a shadow singer, a FREAKING KING (In my mind, if somebody becomes high king, it should be Azriel).

Now, let's imagine Azriel is like "Okay, screw Elain's mating bond, I'll just stay with her" and then let's say, for arguments sake, that Elain decides the night court is not for her and they have to go somewhere else.

So, I love getting involved in my personal affairs and since this elriel decided to jump into the Gwynriel tag, I will chime in.

Elain is not Azriel's mate. She is Lucien's mate and this is cannon.

You can delude yourself all you want about Az and Elain being mates but the cannon fact is that Elain does not belong to the night court and Azriel will not leave the night court just for the sake of impossible love. If you want to come at me for what I'm saying, then I ought to remind you that even Cassian mentioned that Elain did not belonged in the night court even if she pretended she did.

You say you like Elain, but if you do then how could you wish for her to pretend to be something she is not? She does not belong in the night court, she will never belong to the night court and Azriel will not quit his position in the night court to follow her around.

And if you say that it's because she is just shy or waiting for the right moment, the she is a coward and selfish because Lucien deserves to be happy and so does Azriel.

SJM saying in an interview that she is excited for Azriel's book, and "not just because of his bedroom habits" seems like it's worth mentioning. She called him a "freak". She has suggested that he's the kinkiest bat boy of the three and that interview also made it clear we can expect to see some of those scenes in his book. How will she build a relationship between Azriel and Gwyn in a single book (they are not even friends yet) while allowing Gwyn time to heal from her trauma, and also have super kinky sex scenes mixed in? Does that not feel a little off to anyone else?

okay, so I'm not someone who likes to go into conflict but as a survivor of SA, I can never hold back to people that say stupidities. Therefore, here is me standing up for SEXUAL ASSAULT VICTIMS

Back story to this because this is crazy:

I was going through the anti ewriel tag because I have a morbid obsession of seeing how my fellow gwynriels shut down the stupid elriel theories and to be honest I also learn a lot by going through them! I'm like "oh, I didn't connected those points! It makes sense" so today was a normal day for me and then suddenly, I see this post about how disrespectful it is for SA victims to see posts of how Gwyn isn't ready to have see and she shouldn't be shipped with Azriel and I agree. It is disrespectful because Gwyn is not her trauma and just minimizing her to it is disrespectful.

So I wanted to comment on the post to say "totally agree" bit instead I found an Elriel in the comment spitting stupidities about how Gwyn isn't ready and she didn't go to Nesta's mating ceremony (honestly, you would think they have the next book with all the things that say happen) and then she said the most stupid thing ever and I will put it on picture because wow

Dismissing their trauma by saying "it wasn't violent and they are men" is disgusting, it reduces you to saying "well, of she was raped then it's on her because she is a woman and she know she needs to take of herself but she didn't so it's on her"

Saying Gwyn is not ready is disgusting. Does she need to be like a dog with her tongue out and thirsting after males to be considered that she is ready? Does she need to be in a constant aroused state for you to say she is ready? What does being ready entail?
