I don't care how much you reblog ace positivity posts if you don't learn to recognize and call out every form of radical feminism in queer spaces. My community was decimated and our support systems destroyed because of this shit. Both we and the aromantic community have still barely recovered. Many of us won't feel safe in queer spaces ever again. And now I see the same vile shit now attacking trans mascs. Slapping "TERFs DNI" on your bio is worth fuck all if you're fine with keeping the door wide open to the same scumbaggery wearing different hats. If you aren't also dedicated to stamping out this culture of oppression Olympics, of trying to find acceptable targets by conflating individuals with oppressive systems, and making social justice into a cudgel to beat people into submission with, we're always going to be vulnerable to self-righteous bottom-feeders out only to validate their own trauma by hurting anyone within reach.

You are blaming these different forms of trans people for transphobia rather than blaming the transphobes

By being assholes and exclusive, you’re not only pushing many people out of the community, not only dropping your forces, but you’re scaring many trans people into the closet (which is bad)

You’re all making yourselves look like massive assholes, which does worse to help your credibility than “tucutes” do (the “tucute” trans community may look “silly” but it’s positive and based on self expression, the Transmed trans community is based on exclusion, gatekeeping, and self hatred [as self hatred is literally a requirement])*

*you may say I’m “hypocritical” for saying transmed trans people are to blame for more transphobia, but you guys are directly spreading hate and feeding into transphobic ideas. (Said transphobic ideas being, “You can disrespect someone’s pronouns and identity if they’re xyz”)

All in all, Transmeds do more harm than “tucutes”

Y’all intolerant people are similar to the ignorant people, in that since you don’t vibe with it, you feel the need to shun it. First of all, that’s the exact mindset of many bigots so check yourself. Second of all, y’all need to get off your high horse. You are in no position to say that someone else is not valid. Despite what you believe, “tucutes” are not a threat to the trans community (see above points) and aren’t harmful. So just let them be. So what if they aren’t trans? We have bigger fish to fry hun. (Remember, hardly anything give transphobic more power, than y’all attacking other trans people instead of fighting transphobia)

I know some of y’all have good intentions and just wanna protect your community. I also understand that it may be scary to think that non trans people could be invading the trans community. But seriously, think about who your true enemy is, people who, most likely, genuinely believe that they are trans and mean no harm, and are just exploring their identity, or bigots who literally want all forms of trans people to be erased. You don’t need to be ashamed of your trans identity. We’re all valid (except hateful people)

It’s good to be proud of your identity and community. But to be prideful to the point where you feel the need to put others down is wrong. There’s self love and pride, and then there’s selfishness and pride. It’s selfish to say that anyone who hasn’t suffered like you have or isn’t like you isn’t valid. It’s selfish and prideful to say that only people like you are special and trans and anyone else isn’t valid. I know it may be nice to take something that’s been a source of pain, and turn it into a source of pride. But you should pride yourself on your identity, not your suffering

Time for a long overdue introduction!

I'm Canis/Canid (you can always just call me 'Sirenium' if that's easier!). I am a namehoarder, as well as namefluid, so I tend to prefer different names at different times (I will attempt to stick to a certain pair of names per theme). I'm 19. I have pieces of paper agreeing with me that I'm autistic and have ADHD, also known as 'I am professionally diagnosed', and I am almost certainly cluster B but have no desire to receive a 'professional diagnosis' for any cluster B disorder, as I've already been mistreated by the mental 'profession' enough as is.

My pronouns are in my bio, but for the sake of convenience my current preferred ones are it/its and ze/hir, he/him is tolerated and they/them is on very thin ice because people love to use that set as an 'easier' option when faced with a scary it/its user. I am intersex. my gender is currently best described as xenic, agender, pangenderflux dude. I'm a loveless, polyamorous lesboy, panaesthetic, and on the aplatonic and asocial spectrums. I am a biracial black individual.

My interests include, but are (just barely) not limited to, the Sonic franchise (I now have a specific tag for sonic related content. It's #random self indulgent sonic related post, and I went through and tagged [hopefully] every sonic related post with it. edit: I don't remember to use this tag much anymore, apologies), The Legend of Zelda, music, Warframe, and LGBTQ+/xenogender flags, history, and identities.

Unless you give me a reason to block you, I see no reason to bar certain people from interacting with my posts (please note that if I go to your blog and am exposed to some dumbass take about mspec lesbians or something, that is typically grounds for a straight up block). Here, we believe that there's no such thing as an invalid queer identity, and this encompasses lesboys, m-spec lesbians, gaybians, and anything else that people hate for no reason. We are pro endo, believe that pronouns and presentation don't necessarily equal gender, anti capitalism (especially rainbow capitalism), pro-choice, pro self diagnosis, are of the opinion that PCOS can be an intersex condition (but honestly it's up to the individual to identify as such), queer isn't a slur (though I don't immediately jump to demonizing those who think it is, bc there are certainly older people who've had that word used against them in a derogatory way), xenogenders aren't transphobic, paraphile≠abuser, and more that I don't feel are necessary to state on this blog.

Stance on transID and radqueers (link). Since it apparently needs to be said, don't fucking derail my posts because of my stances on these things. It's not up for debate, especially on a random ass post. Okay, I'm just gonna come out and say it. I have headmates, and I'm pretty sure we're endogenic. By saying this, I know I'm signing up for more fuckin discourse, but honestly that's something I can't avoid. When there are people in your own communities that seek to exclude you, the choice of just standing down and watching it happen is just... absurd.

It's so hurtful to see a post about plurality that I relate to, just to see 'endos DNI' or some shit. Imagine, you see a post that provides comfort and solace for you and your headmates' experiences, just to have the rug pulled out from under your feet in the form of 'Endos DNI'. It's jarring to say the least.

Sometimes, someone isn't going to have a simple identity. That's fine! Being queer was never about fitting in boxes. So use that label, and use the other one, too. I want to live in a world where in-fighting in the queer community does not exist. I want to live in a world where queer youth like me don't feel hurt that our identity is attacked. I want to live in a world where I can be trans without being a boogie monster. I want to live in a world where I can be on the ace spectrum without being broken, or not "ace enough." I want to live in a world where the fluidity of my gender is not me being "indecisive" but simply me I want to live in a world where my AroAce, AroAllo, AlloAce, and whatever other terms you like to use feel respected. I want to live in a world where the queer community doesn't shun people with neo-pronouns. I want to live in a world where queer POC feel welcomed and safe. I want to live in a world where I can be queer and Asian American without feeling like a fetish. I want to live in a world where trans women aren't bared from women's spaces. I want to live in a world where Bi, Pan, Omni, and any other identity is allowed to love who they love. I want to live in a world where queer Palestians can be free. I want to live in a world where disabled queer people are accepted. I want to live in a world where queer people can access medicine. I want to live in a world where queer people can EXIST. I want to live in a world where people understand, that queerness, as a whole, is about going beyond the "norm" and no matter how that is, whether you're Lesbian, Gay, Transgender, Bisexual, Queer, Two spirited, Asexual, Aromantic, Non-binary, whatever you are, no matter how obscure your label is, I want to live in a world where that is accepted in our community, because our community is about being different, out of the norm, we can accept ourselves as normal humans, as people, and still understand; Queerness is about defying norms and being WHO YOU ARE. No matter who you are. And making the world and our community understand that starts with us. I stand with the community, not the exclusion.
