I find it endlessly amusing that men are so confused, affronted, and concerned about the birth rates and marriage rates declining globally and then they behave like subhuman creatures. There are sex toys now that allow men to simulate fucking the decapitated head of a woman. Men cannot handle rejection and frequently become violent. Men are responsible for 75% of crime and 98% of sex crimes. Pornography has become increasingly violent and stomach-turning. Turns out when you act like an animal and treat women like a commodity, they don't wanna fuck you OR chain themselves to you and make themselves your legal property! Isn't that fun
The fact that in this culture, it is normal (almost expected) for pubescent boys to watch and pleasure themselves to videos of women being beaten up, raped, sodomised, even urinated on, usually by force, is horrific.

Do not normalise pornography. It’s not normal. It’s not healthy.
Can we talk about how are fetish has the same name on tumblr as a club for kids. This is disgusting.
We cringe, because we are fucking minors exposed to pornography since we were little kids. We see this shit when we look up our cartoon, our friend’s names, our clubs. We can’t have shit without seeing your disturbing kinks.
Cringe started as a verb describing a physical reaction, i.e.: "I cringe when I see [x]."
Modern slang has turned cringe into an adjective describing anything to which a person might have such a reaction.

This shift in language is illustrative of a shift in culture.

For a while there, in the early 2000s, there was this big sex positivity movement and we talked openly about kink and queer sexuality and creating a culture of consent that broke away from traditional conservative ideas of moral respectability.
And now we are in the midst of this giant purity culture backlash, this giant push for rigid conformity all over the internet. Anything that deviates from the norm even remotely is ridiculed.
And this cultural shift is perfectly encapsulated in this singular linguistic shift, this verb becoming a noun.
The Revenge of the Pearl Clutchers
That's what "cringing" is. It's pearl clutching.
When the pearl clutchers turned cringe into an adjective, they turned a reaction into an accusation. The pearl clutchers don't want to take responsibility for their own kneejerk emotions. They want to blame YOU.
They are saying, "My disgust isn't the fault of my own backwards prejudices. It is YOU who are inherently disgusting. My inability to cope with even the slightest deviation from norm is not the problem here. YOUR refusal to rigidly conform is the problem. I am not the one who is cringing. YOU are the one who is cringe."
Fuck 'em.

We see porn when we look up our cartoons, our friends, our friends and all you can do is laugh about it. Porn twists the mind.

The amount of pornography and lustful content on this website is absolutely insane. When I search up beautiful I expect or at least want to see national park images and pictures of James Dean, not Mia Khalifa. I have safe search and filters turned on but porn will randomly show up on my feed. Its disturbing and unacceptable.

I don’t even understand why people are so confused by today’s young people having less sex than previous generations of young people. Young men cannot maintain an erection unless they’re being incredibly rough and degrading and oftentimes watching a video of another man being much more violent to another woman and young women don’t actually want to be beaten and humiliated and like injured every time they have sex. Our expectations are not compatible

Keep telling me how being the object and target of men’s sexual desires is empowering, how porn and BDSM aren’t directly related to misogyny and male violence against women.
