Ingvarin Aaltonen
Ingvarin Aaltonen is a very commanding, aggressive man. Despite this, he is quite extraverted and organised, with a love of bunnies. He is my main whumper, with his canonical whumpee being Dzagokü.

Appearance: Very white skin with dark-red, piercing eyes. He has long, fluffy hair, coloured with a mix of orange and red, yellowish in the middle. As it reaches the ends, the colour fades into a deep, rich black. He has a brawny, muscular body, with some thin, red hairs on his chest. As with most Milians, he is unable to develop facial hair. He has a large, bulbous nose, with a large width.
Type of whumper: Despite having a lack of anger control, he is somewhat a carewhumper. He prefers not to completely break his whumpees, instead manipulating them by showing them his peaceful side more often, even allowing Dzagokü to play with his bunnies. However, due what Dzagokü did to ‘deserve’ his trauma, he is more aggressive with him, and locks him in a dirty basement, chaining him by his neck to the wall.
Backstory (mentions of abuse): Ingvarin was born on the 1st of September, 1971 in Metet. His anger issues are mainly caused by his childhood. His father was involved in the Metetian military, and like some abusers was at first somewhat kind to his family. Whilst he mainly used some physical punishment on him, he became incredibly violent as Ingvarin became a teenager, eventually beginning to abuse his mother. Ingvarin severely doted his mother due to her loving behaviour towards him, but was too afraid of his father to intervene when he beat her. This resulted in anger issues for him.
Dzagokü Kimaska
Dzagokü Kimaska was a loving, rather effeminate new-father. Now, after being imprisoned for his alleged role in denying his wife pain medication during the birth of their child, he is a scared animal who is overprotective of his family. He is the whumpee of Ingvarin.

Appearance: He has long, curly hair, that is golden at the top, though brown at the ends. He has a very thin body, with no body hair at all, Despite his thin frame, he has some defined muscles from regular farm work. He has a narrow-ish Roman nose, and a smooth, spherical head.
Type of whumpee (Mentions of abuse): When Dzagokü was first imprisoned for allegedly playing a role in denying his wife pain medication, he was very defiant, despite suffering from severe physical punishments. After being 'saved' by Ingvarin, who also comforted him after a beating, he quickly became attached to Ingvarin. When Ingvarin had him transferred to his house, he was very grateful despite Ingvarin displaying some aggressive behaviour. He became obedient towards him, and blamed himself when he was beaten and locked in the basement. Whilst with Ingvarin, he also suffered severe internal conflict as he fell deeply in love with Ingvarin, despite his personal beliefs that homosexuality is sinful.
Backstory and some useless info: He was born on 10th of March, 1994 in a farmhouse in northern Tokoik. He has a brother who is 2 years older than him. When he was 3, his father (who was in his mid 20s) suddenly abandoned the family to pursue a better career. His mother became very loving towards them as a result. Eventually, his older brother came out as gay. Dzagokü believed that all homosexuality is sinful, despite the religion that he follows explicitly allowing chaste homosexual relationships, so this resulted in some conflict between them but he decided to mind his own business.

Z-55 - Codename: "Buddy"

Z-55 is a mutated channel catfish. It was fused with human and poisonous frog DNA but rejected most of it, causing it to only partially mutuate and not gain any of the dangerous traits it was supposed to. Originally created in a different Urbanshade division than the Hadal Division, it was sent to the Hadal Blacksite due to being defective.
After the expendables started being sent down into the Blacksite, it started to follow groups of them around, joining them in collecting lost assets and the crystal. It seems to think of the expendables’ search as a fun game. It even wears its own EXR-P jumpsuit, albeit mostly torn apart to fit Buddy’s fish-like body.
Buddy can be found in the submerged sections of the Blacksite. When found, it will follow the expendables that spotted it around and help them locate lost assets. It does not help in locating or being saved from other monsters, except for puddles of void mass; it despises puddles of void mass and will start screaming whenever they are nearby.
While Buddy on its own is completely harmless, if expendables reject it it will run away sobbing, causing other monsters to show up much more frequently until the expendables die. Despite this, it is incredibly friendly to expendables and considered a sigh of relief from the others. As long as you let it join you on your little adventure, of course.

SKY-BOUND is a webcomic I'm developing focusing on themes of found family, connection, and healing. Here's where you can find everything you need to know about it!
What's the basic premise?
A bunch of broken people live together on a spaceship and deal with their many issues. They find comfort in each other and make the world around them a better place. And by make the world a better place, I mean do vigilante bullshit. In space.
Any TWs?
Unfortunately, yes. While SKY-BOUND is an uplifting story at its core, due to its themes it will contain references to/depictions of child abuse, alcoholism, depression, SH/suicide, PTSD, anxiety, panic attacks, violence, death, grief, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and murder. I aim to tackle all of these topics with as much respect as possible and will never go into more detail than the story requires. While I don't enjoy writing scenes that involve these I also know that they are necessary for the story I'm trying to tell. Please take care of yourselves and avoid SKY-BOUND if you can't handle these topics. There's no shame in keeping yourself healthy.

Backstory: While escaping from Avarice, Sky is forced by a life-threatening injury to leave his little brother Milo behind. He wakes up in the Haven's aerial medbay, where he broke into in an attempt to save himself. Sky grows close to each member of the Haven's crew, but never loses his goal of rescuing Milo from the hell he was left in.
A year later, the Haven manages to locate Avarice and reunite the brothers. However, even after this, Sky has a lot of unresolved trauma that he needs to work through.

Height: 4 ft 11 in
Backstory: After being forcibly initiated into the Avarice program, Milo is roomed with Sky. The two quickly form a brotherly bond and Sky does his best to protect Milo from as much harm as he can, even though they live where they do. After Sky escapes, Milo believes him to be dead and stays on Avarice with less hope than ever before.
When Sky rescues him a year later, he starts living on the Haven with him. He has a lot of stuff he needs to get through now that he's safe, though . . .
Tide
Name: Trevor Sanderson
Age: 27-29 depending on where you are in the story
Height: 5 ft 6 in
Backstory: After being framed for murder due to his trans identity, Trevor abandoned the military and found employment on the streets as a bounty hunter. He adopted the alias "Riptide" as an homage to his Californian roots (and due to a moment of pure, panicked impulse). After getting Troy out of a dangerous situation, he boards the Haven for the first time. His bounty-hunting alias soon shortens to the nickname "Tide." Though his job is technically in dealing with cargo, Tide deals with quite a bit of close-range combat during the Haven's more vigilante-oriented excursions. Thanks to the military and bounty hunting, he's become quite proficient in most kinds of fights.

—synopsis
Jonah ‘Spit’ Doe, a student in a not-so prestigious academy for mutants, is exactly that; a mutant. Faced with discrimination for his abilities, which include his corrosive saliva and subsequent regenerative power, he’s been seen as a freak among nature. He lives up to his title, though, and has garnered quite the reputation for himself for his poor habits of picking fights, causing public unrest amongst the school, and melting school property with his spit. Spit, as he likes to be called, also holds certain beliefs that rival that of the purpose of the school; to create an army of super-powered soldiers from mere children. Spit refuses to become a dog of the military, and he lets this be known. He’s a terror on school grounds.

The first friend Amy made after returning to Vinethorn Grove, Zach Taylors is a goth teenager ran away from home to escape his abusive stepfather who lives in a neighbouring town, so now Zach secretly lives in an abandoned cabin he found near the woods - he may be homeless, but according to himself, he has never felt more free, or more safe. He and Amy were an instantly match made in chaos heaven, having been friends ever since they bumped into each other on the chilly autumn evening of the day she'd moved back into town. A certified troublemaker, Zach is still a gentleman and possibly the kindestkid in town, despite his kooky and eccentric personality. He loves alternative music, often ones matching with his improvised grunge/goth style, and can often be found either skateboarding around town or reading books - which he steals from the local library - on the outskirts of the woods, near the lake. Amy's brother, Dylan, is a bit wary of him, worried that he may be trouble and sometimes considering him 'too much', but also partially because Zach's sarcastic wit and rebellious tendencies clash with Dylan's more serious outlook, and so they don't always see eye to eye. As their paranormal investigation progresses, Zach slowly starts to become part of the Millihan's family, and finds that he may just not be quite as lonely as he once was anymore, much to his relief and confusion.

Liam Steele is one of the most well-known teenagers in Vinethorn Grove, infamous - and feared - for his fiery personality and tendencies to withdraw himself emotionally from the world, which makes people assume he just doesn't care. Which isn't true. With a knack for getting into trouble, especially fist fights with other teens, Liam has long since been labeled a local 'bully' or troublemaker - but that couldn't be further from the actual truth. Liam only gets into fights with the actual bullies of the town, whenever said bullies pick on him, his girlfriend or anyone else. But the sheer strenght and explosiveness with which he deals with such other kids gives outsiders the wrong impression most of the time. Tired of trying to prove himself otherwise, Liam has quietly accepted the rumors and given up in trying to 'clear his reputation', and chosen to just live in his own little world with his girlfriend (Savvy), his music, and his car, pretending not to care about what anyone else thinks of him. But deep down, a lost, but kind, part of him still wants to be accepted and still wants to make more friends - even though his anger and his difficulty blending in have made him a pariah to most, so many other teens don't even get close enough to truly get to know him. Despite all of that, he has a good heart and a loyal personality that will strongly stand beside anyone who proves themselves a true friend worthy of their time.

Pronouns - He/Him Age - 17 Appearance - Liam is somewhere between average height and tall, especially for a teenager, and is quite athletic and muscular while still being thin. He has long, volumous blond hair that is quite curly, and which he usually keeps loose and wild, a lot of his style reflects his love for vintage rock and roll. He has dark grey eyes and his favorite clothes include a distressed denim vest, simple jeans and band T-shirts, occasionally opting for a long-sleeve denim jacket or a comfy coat, as well as worn out red ankle converse shoes or occasionally simple boots. He always wears the DIY charm bracelet that his girlfriend, Savvy, gave him - it has both sentimental value to him and doubles a fidget toy for when he gets anxious.
