You cannot tell me Reiner doesn't see his younger self in Falco

Chapter 119 is just so heartbreaking:

The Galliards are my favourite brothers: We didn't get to see much of them unfortunately but their relationship is so beautiful yet so heartbreaking.

We have no family backstory, why Porco and Marcel both wanted to become warriors even though they would have been a honorary marleyans no matter who was chosen: my guess is that Porco is the one who originally wanted to be a warrior and Marcel merely joined to protect him, Marcel wasn't interested.

We all know how Porco acts towards Reiner because he wasn't the one chosen as the Armored titan, claiming that if he was chosen instead they'd have taken the founder and Marcel wouldn't have died. Since his introduction, Porco looked for something/someone to tell him he's a good warrior which causes him to lash out on Reiner on pretty much every occasion.

in Chapter 119:

Reiner, trying to reach out to Porco so he could help him stop Eren, makes contact with him and some memories are sent. Porco finally finds what he was seeking, validation, and it was his own dead brother who gave it to him.

Porco's expression in this panel always gets me

Older siblings all want one thing in aot: Marcel wanted to protect Porco from the dangers of Paradis, Colt wanted to protect his family from being shipped to Paradis and transformed into titans and Zeke was willing to do the impossible to save Eren from being killed, he wanted his brother and himself to save Eldia together.

Colt begged Zeke not to get Falco involved into this, he didn't care about the rest, he just wanted his little brother to be safe.

Remember when Eren said to Falco that he was glad he wouldn't become a titan shifter? Because he wants him to live a long life? Yeah, I can't believe I'm saying this but Eren maybe did mean it, he made sure Falco was still alive during the slaughter in Liberio, and you can notice the look in his eyes when Colt screamed that Falco drank Zeke's spinal fluid even though he knew.

Zeke obviously was disturbed by that, he honestly and genuinely doesn't want to bring kids into this but his love for his brother is too powerful and he will do anything to make sure Eren is safe.

Porco was obviously listening to all of this, the look on his face is telling, he many times stayed silent when a relationship between brothers is mentioned.

(Aka when Falco won against Gabi in a race: Colt said that no matter what he does, Falco will never surpass Gabi, Zeke intervenes and shares the fact that no older brother would like his younger sibling to become a shifter. Pieck then asks Porco what's wrong since he's obviously disturbed and the latter does not respond).

Colt's death:

One of the most heartbreaking moments in aot imo. Colt believed that this was it, this was the last moment he'd see his brother before he becomes a titan, yet he stayed and hugged Falco knowing that the transformation will kill him because Colt will always be with him.

He wasn't mentioned by anyone but Falco after his death, sadly :(

Porco's sacrifice:

I've seen a lot of people say that Porco sacrificed himself instead of Reiner because he wanted save him, but I don't think it's the case.

As I said, Porco was looking for validation and he got it, he listened to Zeke's and Colt's conversation and Colt's words definitely hit him, especially since he just got Marcel's memories.

"I'm not dying without a fight" -> apart from being unable to heal all his wounds, Porco simply refuses to die a meaningless death, so he sacrifices himself, saving both Reiner and Falco and fulfilling Colt's wishe to save Falco.

A little brother saving a little brother.

Porco died with a smile on his face, knowing that he is the better man to the end. And he proved that saving his comrade and a kid. His character arc was over.

Still, I was a little bit upset he wasn't mentioned by anyone but Pieck and Falco in the following chapters. Obviously Falco would feel guilty, since Porco's death was the key to his survival, and Pieck during the battle with the ancient shifters.

I hated Zeke for those two deaths, I seriously did, but he ended up betrayed by his younger brother, he was once again used because of his royal blood. You can't blame him for choosing euthanasia, he lived a shitty life and the only time he was happy was when Mr. Ksaver was still alive, he thought he was doing the right thing by stopping Eldians from being born into this world since they're suffering so much. I'm glad he at least got a little bit of happiness in chapter 137.

This post made me dislike Eren even more

Do I have rights?

Gabi Braun, what an amazing warrior. She is strong, determined and confident. Quality’s that make a warrior. When I first met her I immediately loved her spirit. Sure she was arrogant but she always back up her claims and didn’t let anybody take her down. She is extremely under appreciated as a character and deserves the hype. People hate her because they know she never misses everytime. Gabi has grown as a person since she first appeared, yes she made mistakes and yes she did kill Sasha but she did what she had to do to protect her family and friends. I loved watching her learn that both sides aren’t different she became mature and set aside her beliefs to come together with the people she used to hate to most and to help stop the rumbling. And I’m glad that she made it and survived. She came out like the Warrior Queen she is and she sure does have many stories to tell in the future along with Falco. Happy Birthday best girl Gabi 💕

Berthold Swallow; he gazes from just as high. Annie’s name over his heart, where she’s remembered. Kanji for “protector”. Reiner Wild boar; strength. Comrades’ names on his arms, for power to fight for their sakes. Kanji "warrior" and “soldier” because he is both.

Annie Tiger; grace. Comrades’ names upon her back -never to look at them yet to know they are there.

Three chimes; each for a wall to be broken, each for a warrior to fall.

I think it's really interesting how similar Zeke and Annie are. Not only do they have similar personalities, but similar backgrounds (idealistic fathers) and ways of coping with killing people (almost making it playful).

Yes! I’ve mentioned it several times on my Twitter and in some asks but I definitely agree on that part!

I’d like to think the two of them bonded over their common past and watched all these morons getting agitated for nothing while we, the intellectuals, are rationalizing. No idea how Marcel and some unnamed warrior were but it must be a relief to have Zeke around for Annie.

Also just paraphrasing my post:

Not only that, but she’s the only warrior kid Zeke calls affectionately (アニちゃん “Annie-chan”). I suggest he projected his younger-self on her when they met, hence the warmhearted display.

I’d love to see a huge warrior flashback with Zeke meeting the young warriors.

Zeke

He's smart but is super confused about your question. It's not one of the weirdest things he's heard but it's definitely up there. He's just like, what why would you ask that? Has mixed feelings about whether or not he would love you as a worm. He loves you the way you are, so he's definitely swaying more to the no side.

Pieck

Gosh Y/n of course she would! She would 100% crawl around on the floor with you. Makes a bed out of an empty match box for you so you can sleep together. She says she would show you off to all her friends and even let some of them hold you. She'd love you as a little worm! Definitely protective but is quite laid back with it when you would be around her friends.

Porco

Fuck no! Y/n get that thought out of your head that he would love you as a worm! He feels like he's going to throw up just thinking about it. Seriously though, did you really think he would love you as this disgusting little creature!? He straight up says no but he's curious if you would live him if he was a worm. When you say no he gets mad and says it's disrespectful towards him.

Colt

Huh? What? Asks you why you would ask that but immediately says he would love you! He tells you that he would keep you safe and let the candidates keep you company when he's not there. He doesn't think anywhere is safe for you if you turn into a worm! Gets a bit emotional thinking about you getting injured when he's not around.

Falco

Your his best friend! Of course he would love you as a little worm! With both of you being in a dangerous environment more often than not, he gets generally scared for your life and wellbeing. He comes around to the fact that this can't happen but he gets very clingy to you after that.

Gabi

That's gross. Your one of her best friends but she wouldn't love you as much if you were a worm. Says she would get way more protective over you and make sure no one lays a single finger on you apart from her. Even though she would find it disturbing, she would still care for you but not on the same level if you were human.

Zofia

A bit shy but admits she would love you just the same! As one if her closest friends she needs to make sure that you are safe and comfortable. Asks Pieck to help make little dresses for you and small blankets to keep your little worm body warm during the winter. Admits she would carry you around and offer you food she gets from the market.

Udo

What? Bless him, he's extremely confused! However he does get a small plan set up just in case. He gets scared at the thought of losing one of his friends and keeps you safe to the best of his abilities from then on. Reassures you that he would love you even more as a friend and that it's his sworn duty to protect you!

Attack On Titan Warriors on the dancefloor

Zeke

He made sure that everyone had a nice glass of wine before he got his own drink sorted. He literally plans on getting drunk and is relying on you to take care of him. Starts showing off his "big ass" and thinks he's a woman.

Pieck

She will only dance for a little while before she gets sleepy. Tried to look presentable is her nice cloths but accidentally ripped some of her dress when she spun you around. Talks to anyone and everyone but stays with you the whole time.

Porco

Thinks he's really funny and looks like a total badass. He shows you off when he drunk dances and makes way to many sexual jokes. Drags you on top of the bar and tables to dance with you for everyone to see. Let's just say that he likes inappropriate dancing.

Colt

Definitely gets drunk. He can't help it! He does shout a lot but when the music gets going, he's putting on a whole performance. Tells you not to join but watch. Unfortunately fo you, this goes on for the rest of the night.

Reiner

Watches his alcohol well and only wants to dance with you to slow songs because he thinks it's really romantic. At the end however, he wants you to wait till everyone is gone so you can have the whole floor to yourselves.

Bertholdt

Someone told him it was a dress up party. He was scared to go but came in a silly outfit and realised what happened. He fitted in with what others were wearing though. He will wait till slow songs come on to dance with you but when he gets a bit tipsy he will just do whatever.

Annie

No. Just no. The only thing she will be doing is standing in the corner and judging people. She is not going to drink and she is definitely not setting foot near that dancefloor. The only time she will talk is to say thanks to you for getting her food.
