I hate this sentiment that they/them is inherently neutral and good and that everyone should be okay with being called it. actually they are still pronouns and you are still making assumptions about someone by using them... maybe YOU like them, some of us have fought very hard not to be seen as genderless

The amount of people I’ve seen start Stranger Things from the beginning JUST for Eddie Munson tells me all I need to know about what a stupid decision it was to kill him off. He brought in new fans simply by existing. So many people who’ve never even seen the show connected with him, his character resonated with people. I don’t know any other character introduced so late into a series that had such an impact. The horrible writing just added to how stupid it was. Wasted. Potential.
