Day #49 - Parallels

Eonwe! Eonwe had immense trouble making a physical form because as a maia of Manwe he has problems being confined in any way, so when he finally managed to take an Eldar form he took great pride in it (even though he sometimes twists his head around like an owl and often forgets to blink).

Or, Bird-boy wants his ex back, and said ex is completely willing to take advantage of this so he has a cushy place to live until his boyfriend comes back from the Void. Or at least, he was until he actually had to take responsibility for his actions

Ilmare and Eonwe
Ilmare is a collection of tiny stars suspended in a void. She has a massive gravitational pull, and is incredibly radioactive without a fana
Eonwe is the type of high speed wind that precedes a hurricane. He has less of a sense of self than some other maiar, because he often ends up picking things up and integrating them whenever he interacts with the world- which is how he got his feathers.

I headcannon Manwe to never be entirely relaxed around elves, not because he doesn't like them, but because of an underestimation of how fragile they and the feeling that they need the protection of the Ainur. Because of this, all his maiar end up having to be in their more warlike fana around Elves so if a threat comes up they can fight it immediately without having to drop a more casual fana and then shift into armour.
Eonwe doesn't really agree with this, and always ends up avoiding elves more than he'd like because he feels like he ends up scaring them off, which then gives him a reputation as being uptight and cold.

There's absolutely no textual evidence for it, but I believe with all my heart that Eonwe's personality is Shakespeare's Puck and Ariel mashed together in the worst ways possible.
