⚠️ BL00D + ¡MPALATION WARNING ⚠️
Just got 4 of my wisdom teeth cut out… My head feels like a balloon that someone beat the shit out of 💀
The Since I’m just relaxing for the next few days expect plenty of new sketches. Here’s a couple I have already:
Arrested for being Too Fabulous (they blew up a town square)
While searching for the Two Old Mages, John, Blake, and Nathan are captured— by the mages they’re looking for! But how will they prove they were sent by Floyd, the old mages’ friend? Well, Floyd has a very… unique way of drawing maps. Perhaps that’ll be proof enough? Might as well try!
—
Josep: “You don’t look like Royalists.”
Blake: *Trapped in a floating bubble like an idiot* “We’re not! We were sent by Floyd!”
Adler: “Prove it, or we’ll leave you in those bubbles.”
Josep: *Concerned* “We will?”
Adler: “Well what else would we do?”
Josep: “I dunno, but leaving them seems a bit much…”
Blake: *Holding up a badly drawn map* “Look, he made us this map.”
Josep: *Pondering the map* “Mmm…”
Adler: “Yup.”
Josep: “That’s Floyd alright.”
I used a reference from @kibbitzer for these! My character, Adler, without his prosthetic leg :)
If anyone here’s been interested in seeing more of my writing and original characters (along with more context lmao), you can check out my other blog Doomed Author! :)

Check it out and share your thoughts! Constructive criticism is appreciated, and I love hearing from you guys!
Ekward, a common Royalist turned into the Right-Hand-Man of the Queen. Is he truly loyal to the Crown, though?
Im sorry but i gotta ask, is ekward a bit akward?
LMAO HOW DID YOU KNOW?!
Yes, he is very socially awkward. He knows how to be a stone-cold knight who doesn't let any important information slip, but he does NOT know how to be much else lmao. He's trying, though.
And yes, I've made the "Ekward? More like awkward" joke for him.
What else can ya tell us about Fallen magic??
Hi! Thanks for asking!!
So, Fallen Magic is a fantasy book that I'd first created when I was about 10 years old lol. I've always loved fantasy, and writing, and adventures, and creating my own worlds, and eventually Fallen Magic was created!
It has changed and improved a LOT from when I'd first thought it up, and it's taken a long time for me to really turn it into a coherent story with actual plot. I've only more recently started to REALLY pour my brain power into it, because I want to finally bring it to life! Here are some basic's about it:
The book follows a young boy named Nathan, who has lived a quiet life in a secluded village called Gilamoore for all his life. One night the village is attacked by Royalist soldiers, and Nathan is forced to flee into the forest, abandoning his home and his mother, who did her best to help him escape before she got captured.
While running from Royalists who are trying to capture him, Nathan stumbles across two men camping in the forest. All three flee from the soldiers, eventually jumping off of a cliff into a lake to get away. During this, Nathan accidentally uses magic, and he realizes that he is a mage, and THAT is why Royalists are after him
From there, Nathan quickly learns that mages are on the verge of going extinct and that a rebel force is preparing to rise up and wage war against the Queen in the hopes of taking her down. The story follows John, Blake, and Nathan as they travel across Elubeth on their way to a neighboring kingdom in the hopes of gaining an army to fight against the Queen and her Royalists. We also follow Nathan as he learns about magic and mage history. He can't help but wonder, though, why his mother never told him he was a mage...
ANYWAY, this is obviously just the bare bones of the story. I've been working to add in more things, and of course not all is as it seems. <3
does the fallen magic universe have gunpowder?? if so
whats the % of this happening??
That's a great question!! I've honestly teetered back and forth on whether I want guns to be a weapon in my book. On the one hand, it's not the first weapon that comes to mind when I think "fantasy," but on the other hand, I could MAKE it into something more magical and fantastical.
Do you have any ideas on how I could better fit this type of weapon into a fantasy story? Because I absolutely would!
For now I'll say this: If I did have guns in the world, they'd be used, like, 70% of the time, and they'd be shot off of the backs of stolen horses. John would be a gunslinging maniac despite the fact that he already has magic and really doesn't need a gun. Bella would probably just end the book early by popping the Queen herself. Blake would be working overtime casting some sort of shielding spell trying to keep John and Nathan from getting hit.
Apologies for the spam but! tell us a bit more about the world building?? which countries are there?? are there dragons?? whats the technology like??
DON'T APOLOGIZE! It's been super fun to answer your questions!! Warning, this'll be a longer post!
As of now (this is still something I'm working to fully flesh out, lol), there are about six different countries/kingdoms, one of them being Elubeth (where most of the book takes place).
-Neakoth, in the north.
-Falith, in the south
-Lorigothia, in the east.
-Elubeth, in the west.
-Streac Strana, an island nation in the east.
-Raew, a small, quiet southwest nation known for its delicious fruits.
The Eerini Desert in Falith is known for its gorgeous sun-colored sand and its adorable Oasis Chameleons (teeny tiny blue chameleons that also glow in the dark!) The Eprus Desert in Lorigothia is where one of my characters, Josep, is originally from! Most of his familiy still lives there, but he lives in Elubeth with his husband, Adler (Adler is originally from Neakoth!) And yes, there are multiple languages throughout this world, but I'm not Tolkien, and I haven't actually CREATED those languages yet.
Elubeth is basically its own small continent, lol. The only way in or out of the kingdom is by sea, which wasn't a problem until Queen Hortensia put all ships on lockdown. No neighboring kingdoms were allowed near Elubeth unless given strict permission, and even then, they were not allowed to stay for long. Any ships or boats leaving Elubeth are only allowed to go so far out before the Elubithian Navy is after them. Ships must be registered, and the Navy can board and search ships/boats at any time for any reason. Ports always have Royalists and such stationed to keep an eye on things. We wouldn't want people sailing to Lorigothia and trying to escape, would we?
Elubeth is crawling with strange and fantastical creatures (which I love coming up with!) Here are a few images from my Pinterest as examples:
Birch Elk
Siren's (not my art!)
Ember Wolves
Totally Average Horses (ok fine, MAYBE its MY take on a unicorn. Not my art though)
Armayan Sea Monster (found in the Armayan sea that lies between Elubeth and Lorigothia. Terrifying, but not my art.)
There are also Fire Toads, Emerald Crested Geckos, and Feathersnakes (which are VERY cute)
In Elubeth, each town/village/city has differences in clothing, food, and way of life. Lorport is a port town full of Royalists, pirates, and poor fisherfolk just trying to scrape by. Rye, like Gilamoore, is a simpler town full of farmers. Caelfall, near the Royal City of Bowes, is a prim and proper city full of people who totally love the Queen. Definitely. They're 100% not just scared into falling in line. No way.
As for technology, I'd say its very much your typical medieval schtick, though I'm still adding onto it! There are a lot of swords, wooden ships, and things like that. But there's also crossbows and knuckledusters, and carriages that aren't pulled by horses but rather run on magic power. There's also the use of gears and simple mechanisms. I really need to sit down and work more on my tech. Any ideas? Throw 'em my way!
Finally, dragons. As of now, there are not really any dragons that we actually SEE in the book, but there are passing mentions of them, and there's even a mention of a giant, ancient dragon skeleton just off the southern shore of Lorigothia, near Little Island. Perhaps dragons will gain more of a spotlight in the book, but as of now, they're just sort of THERE lol.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. If you notice something that doesn't make sense, let me know! Fallen Magic is still a work in progress so things aren't perfect yet lmao <3
Yk what the queen should have?
BLIMPS!!!
She wants to rule with an iron fist? What better way to do so other than surveilling from above!
A fleet of these badboys? Are sure to stir up nationalisim in the royalist hearts! And fear into the enemies!
What better way is there to instill hopelessness and fear into rebel hearts?
(dont mind my blimp propaganda lol, i just fucking love blimps)
OMG YOU'RE SO RIGHTTTTTTTTT AAAAAA
I LOVE this idea! I've definitely gotta add this to my world!!
Whats the magic system like in fallen magic? :0
OOH GOOD QUESTION!
Ok don't judge me but... This is actually something I'm still struggling to figure out for sure... PLEASE offer some suggestions! I want magic that can be used fast for fighting, etc. Here's what I have so far:
Runes are used a LOT as a form of magic. You carve a series of runes onto, say, a rock, and BOOM– Now it has mild protective properties. For example, my character, John, has a pair of knuckledusters that have runes carved along it. These runes make John's punches more powerful and allow him to preserve more of his energy so that he can fight longer without wearing himself out. Another example is Adler, who has runes tattooed along his arm which help increase his speed and agility slightly.
Runes can also be used as traps. We see Rune Traps laid out all around Josep and Adler's property. When John, Blake, and Nathan (the Main Trio in the book) accidentally step on these runes, they activate the spell and become trapped in bubbles that shrink the more you move.
I also thought about having Runes be a language– where there are whole books written in rune. Idk if I'll do that though. What do you think?
I do have a few spell ideas that I wanted certain characters to have. John, for instance, has a few fire spells, and Josep has a spell that allows him to manipulate and travel through shadows. However, I don't think I want my characters to be limited to only one type of element. For example, I don't want John to ONLY have fire magic, Josep to ONLY have shadow magic, Nathan to ONLY have wind magic, etc. I need to figure out exactly how spells are carried out and how they're practiced.
I know that I don't want my characters to use wands. Maybe they have to SAY a spell for it to work? Idk. I've thought about expanding using runes for magic, but I'm not sure how it would work. How do you use runes quickly in the heat of battle to cast spells in rapid succession? How do you remember what combination of runes do what? The runes work for small spells and such, but I'm not sure how they'd work beyond that. If you have ideas PLEASE SHARE because I've been struggling lol!
(Example of John's knuckle dusters, except instead of crosses, his has different runes on each knuckle)
Also, there is a lot of "mundane magic", like certain tea blends having certain magical effects, or types of houseplants with magical properties, etc. There are also things that aren't STRICTLY magical, but rather are more superstitions ("Oh, a moss stone, those are good luck!" / "We were going to travel to Rye, but a snake crossed our path. We know a warning when we see one! We'll go next week.")
Also idk if i need to say this but everything i propose? or suggest? u can 100% shoot down with no hard feelings whatsoever!!!! Fret not :D u might not add them into the canon lore but i will have hcs B)
Of course! But honestly it's been so nice and helpful to have someone ask questions and provide ideas!! And you're ideas have also been really good! I appreciate you <3
Ack! You got caught up in the rain during your travels. Luckily, you found a cozy cabin to rest and wait out the weather. You accepted the tea and sandwiches, but what will you do now?
Comment below whether you warm up by the fireplace or explore the cabin!
After eating your sandwich and drinking your tea, you decide to explore the cabin. What will you find? Will you Unlock the mysterious hall door, or Go upstairs? Or will you choose to do something else? Vote now in the comments!
A watercolor artwork I just finished! I’m considering adding this to my kofi shop and selling the original print: Would anyone buy something like this? Let me know! There’s only one available 👀
