[8:56] you’re perched on the icy-cold, marbled counter in your kitchen, peering out the window adjacent to you. dark, heavy clowds hung low in the sky, filled up with water, about to burst and rain down over the silver city. the world outside your window is gloomy and dismal. you, however, are anything but gloomy. the dreary weather just granted you an opportunity to relax with your lover all day. you were not going to let go of this chance.
the soft pitter-patter of socked feet on a wooden floor stole your attention away from the window. your boyfriend, felix, stumbles in, rubbing the sleep from his puffy eyes, face swolen due to him having woken up minutes prior.
“you weren’t in bed when I woke up,” felix whines pitifully but it‘s not very effective due to his gruff voice.
your lips stretch into a small smile, “sorry love, i wanted to see what the weather was like.”
moving toward you, felix slips his hips between your knees and rests his tiny baby hands on your waist. his head finds a spot in the crook of your neck. your hands glide up and down his back for a few moments before landing on the nape of his neck, carefully combing through his baby hairs. felix hums and you giggle at the vibrations tickling your throat.
“come back to bed with me,” you can feel a pout form on his lips as he mumbles into your shoulder.
you nudge his body away and push yourself from the counter that has grown warm from your body heat, “ok baby, let’s go.”
you grab felix’s hand and tug him in the direction of your bedroom. he trails behind you, sleep still evident in his hunched form. right before you crawled into bed with the love of your life, a deafening clap of thunder sounded throughout the cuty around you. soon after, soft taps sounded against the windows. you smiled and layed down. felix tugged your comforter over the both of you and immediately curled into your warm body. you didn’t mind rainy days one bit.
[12:56pm] you take small steps forward, smiling down at your feet. the cement beneath you was still damp due to the rain showers that drenched the city prior to your walk, and every now and then you’d pass by a puddle. felix, your boyfriend, walks beside you, his warm hand grasped tightly in your grip. you glance up at him just in time to see a raindrop fall from an awning straight onto the tip of his adorable nose. his face scrunches up and you can feel your heart speeding up in your chest. you bring your free hand up to his nose and gently wipe away the wetness, felix’s eyes never leaving your face.
“you’re so pretty, babe,” his voice comes out barely above a whisper. you duck your head down, not wanting him to notice the blush creeping across your face. of course he knows you so trying to hide your blush doesn’t work the way you want it to. he laughs at your failed attempt.
his laugh cause you to giggle, “thank you.”
you turn around to continue walking down the street only to be tugged back by your connected hands. you look back at felix who is standing still behind you.
“what’s up?” you’re confused as to why he wont move along with you.
he shrugs, a small grin on his face, “i meant it. you’re the most beautiful person in the world.”
“felix,” you whine and this time you can’t even try to hide the blush that takes over you cheeks. you spin around and tug on his arm as you walk forward. he stumbles toward you, chuckling at your response. once he’s caught up with your steps he brings the back of your hand to his lips. you just sigh and try to fight the huge smile making its way onto your face.
