If Targaryens ate a lot of shrimp, would their hair turn pink like flamingos?

He never felt the fourth knife. Only the cold...

The melancholy of his character is what always made me like and relate to Jon. Missling a home you feel guilty for even feeling a part of.

The burden of knowing it will never be the same again. Yet that is something all the Stark siblings carry with them, right?

I love drawing happy women, so here's one I did of Laena, Rhaenyra, and @77empest 's oc Besyana. Since the ocs at this point are so intertwined with the story that they're practically canon

Fantasy is silver and scarlet, indigo and azure, obsidian veined with gold and lapis lazuli. Reality is plywood and plastic, done up in mud brown and olive drab. Fantasy tastes of habaneros and honey, cinnamon and cloves, rare red meat and wines as sweet as summer. Reality is beans and tofu, and ashes at the end. Reality is the strip malls of Burbank, the smokestacks of Cleveland, a parking garage in Newark. Fantasy is the towers of Minas Tirith, the ancient stones of Gormenghast, the halls of Camelot. Fantasy flies on the wings of Icarus, reality on Southwest Airlines. Why do our dreams become so much smaller when they finally come true? We read fantasy to find the colors again, I think. To taste strong spices and hear the songs the sirens sang. There is something old and true in fantasy that speaks to something deep within us, to the child who dreamt that one day he would hunt the forests of the night, and feast beneath the hollow hills, and find a love to last forever somewhere south of Oz and north of Shangri-La. They can keep their heaven. When I die, I’d sooner go to Middle-Earth.

GRRM writing female characters: l want to explore the depths of woman. Femininity is so complex and really is at the core of any female character, especially in a medieval system driven by the patriarchy. I want to explore that I want to write women as people so here have a widowed mother who’s watching her teen son become a king and she ends up helping his downfall not because she’s malicious but because she’s his mother and was trying to protect him. And here’s two sister wives who arguably were more influential than their brother and husband and king. And here’s a canonically ugly teenager who’s trying to find her place in the world when she can fit into neither the category of lady or knight. Here are two young sisters both using their specific strengths to survive in environments that wants them dead. I am so good at complex women.

Also GRRM writing female characters: look at this beautiful young lady no one is hotter than her. Men from all over the world chase after her hand. A bastion of grace and class and elegance. Built by the gods themselves to bless this earth. Look here she is getting married and being a dutiful wife and mother. What’s that, you want to learn more about the intricacies of her character? I just told you. She’s the hottest girl in the seven kingdoms and she’s a good wife. Also she’s twelve.

One of the three untamed dragons that resided on Dragonstone, the Cannibal was given his name due to his eating habits. Feasting on dead, newborn and unhatched dragons, he was a wild and vicious beast. No trainer, dragon rider or dragon seed could tame the Cannibal, and all those who tried were devoured.

The Cannibal’s appearance was black in colour, with striking green eyes. He was the oldest and biggest of the wild dragons; Sheepstealer and Grey Ghost. Nearly the size of Vhagar, the Cannibal resembled a mix between Balerion, Drogon and Vermithor. All looking on the more traditional side of the dragon species.

Some history books say the Cannibal lived on Dragonstone long before the Targaryen’s settled there in 114 BC.

This is the truest thing evar!

There are 3 types of writers.

1. Writers that unrealistically don’t kill anyone.

2. The right amount of death.

3. LETS JUST FUCKIN KILL THEM ALL BANG BANG BANG

I had a sit-down with Dan and David, we did the Tony Soprano walk [letting an actor know they’re being whacked]. And they said, “Look, you’re gone, it’s done.” And as far as the salary thing goes, that angered me when that story came out. I don’t know where it came from, but it was inaccurate in many ways. It’s going to put questions into your head and into fans’ heads that things are not what they are. Quite honestly, I have never been told the future of things in this show, but this is the one time I have. They sat me down and said, “This is how it is.” If anything in the future is not like that, then I don’t know about it – it’s only in David and Dan and George’s heads. But I’ve been told I’m dead. I’m dead. I’m not coming back next season. So that’s all I can tell you, really.

With GRRM's Post Being Uploaded And Then Deleted (most Likely Because Of Some NDA Issues) I Wanted To

With GRRM's post being uploaded and then deleted (most likely because of some NDA issues) I wanted to throw my two cents into the ring. Nope, no one asked for my opinion.

A) I liked S2, but I have never read any of the books so I have no basis of comparison.

B) Just because I liked it does not mean I didn't have MANY problems with the storylines/characters (one issue being that they suddenly reduced Rhaenyra and Alicent's roles to people who could do no wrong which made no sense given S1).

C) GRRM had every right to express his disappointment with how the writers are treating his characters and his story and the post was well articulated.

D) HBO's statement was shocking tbh, I didn't think they would actually comment and it was probably not a good idea to either.
