No because I can just imagine that when Arthur and Gwen started having flirtations, Leon starts looking at the three of them with growing internal panic cause well... should he tell her they fucked? Is that betraying his prince? But by NOT saying something is he betraying his childhood friend?? Oh my god what if she KNOWS? And then he'll be crossing that line called 'mind your own business, Leon' and oh my- what if... all THREE of them...?
Completely misunderstanding Leon's back and forth panic stares, Merlin interprets this as Leon in disbelief that Arthur and Gwen are taking so long to get together but luckily he has 84 plans to get them together faster so he solemnly gives Leon a thumbs up cause he's got it handled.
Leon's face just falls into disbelieving resignation. His thought process has already spiraled too far, and he doesn't realize that none of what he thought was said out loud or even implied. Three of his closest people are 'reading poetry' together. He shakes his head to himself. He'll be supportive as he can but this is information he didn't want to have.
Merlin sees him shake his head and is offended that Leon doesn't think he can play matchmaker.
Leon sees the offense on Merlin's face and worries that Merlin thinks he isn't supportive of the three's relationship.
The misunderstandings continue.
I love that it doesn’t matter if you ship merthur or not, the only thing that could be going through Leon’s mind when he walked into Merlin and Arthur standing dangerously close to each other in a dark room alone could be “they are fucking” and this keeps me alive everyday
