I want to speculate. Does Loki influence the plot so much and is he a central character in his own show?
I want to discuss 5 episodes of the season, as 6 episode can change everything drastically. Therefore, I will imagine that TVA exists regardless of whether it is influenced by Loki, until the creators of the series told otherwise.
So, TVA exists, Sylvia exists, her problem and desire to destroy TVA exist. She does it well. Now imagine that Loki is not on the show and no one in TVA comes up with the idea to look for her in the apocalypse. Okay, but regardless of that, she would still make her way into the TVA, since she successfully coped with the TVA hunters and followed the plan. Loki didn't stop her.
Go ahead. That Loki and Sylvia ended up on Lamentis is undoubtedly Loki's credit. But, if Loki did not exist, would it be possible that Sylvia did not linger in the scene with Loki and successfully sneak into the Hall with the Time Keepers? I think yes. In addition, we have such wonderful characters as Mobius, Ravonna, B15, C20 and their interaction with Sylvia quite shows to herself that she is successfully promoting herself.
In episode 5, Mobius saves Sylvia and, in my opinion, it is Loki's merit. Yes, this is his influence. But let's not forget that the events of episode 3 might not have happened. If Loki had not been there and he had not transferred himself and Sylvia to Lamentis, events took place in a different vein. Sylvia has already awakened memories B15 and C20, I don't think Mobius would be an exception.
Also, in episode 5, it is Sylvia who proposes the right decisions and it is her plan that everyone follows. Loki fails even to successfully distract Aliot. The classic Loki makes this triumphant. I do not even see the proper influence of Loki on the enchantment of Aliot, if it were not for Loki, Sylvia would have done everything herself, and Loki is only involved, because he is written into the script along with his theme of love and acceptance.
When I ask the question, what if there were no TVA, I understand that there would not have been all the events of the series. When I wonder what if it weren't for Sylvia, I realize that Loki would have been destroyed. And I can also see that if it weren't for Loki, it would just be...other details. Is this the correct title of this show? Loki? In my opinion, even if episode 6 dramatically changes the degree, I still cannot call the series solo and say that it is about Loki, because 5 episodes out of 6 it remains on the sidelines.
Ya’ll I cannot promise anything with the person I’m becoming after watching ONE episode of s2 Loki.
Quick rant with SPOILERS: This episode put me through the emotional ringer. Tom Hiddleston is giving it his absolute ALL (as always) and it makes me so happy. I was smiling the whole time with him and Mobius interacting and how Loki was teasing (flirting) Mobius!! I was all giggly and kicking my feet. This much gay energy is making me so nervous that they won’t end up together though. Like I just finished supernatural and I don’t want to have to watch another queer bated pair never get together. It’s low key stressing me out. The cinematography was sooo satisfying and it was so pleasing to watch all the angles and close ups. I can’t wait for the rest of the episodesss :)
PS: was anyone else thinking about Across the Spiderverse and what Miguel O’Hara would be thinking about all this?
Loki spoilers!!!
I’m in the middle of watching the second episode rn but I have to note something at 4:35
THE SAUNTER LOKI DOES TOWARDS X5 IS THE SEXIEST, SPOOKIEST, AND SLUTTIEST THING HE HAS EVER DONE
I had to go back and watch it like 8 times. My jaw was on the FLOOR.
Mobius needs to make a move fr
LOKI SPOILERS:
This episode was so good!!!! Loki has never been more scary and threatening. I feel like he’s always had a good villain story but I’ve never really felt that fear until this episodes. Loki is exploring all emotions in this season and I am here for it.
Some of my FAVORITES were-
The JEALOUSY in Loki’s eyes when B15 said “have OB check it out”!!! He was NOT happy
When X5/Brad was verbally abusing Loki and he retaliated, trying to scare him, I thought that was peak scary Loki. I THOUGHT WRONG!!! He was MENACING when he was torturing X5, literally trying to put the fear of God in him. At first I was like “this is kinda hot” but then it slowly devolved into feeling a little bit of fear…
Also, did you see Loki getting so upset and defensive of Mobius when he was getting grilled? It was so cute. And when he tried to comfort him after and be there for him… AHHHH
AND LOKI’S COMFORTING TOUCH TO MOBIUS AT THE END OMG I DIED DEAD
Andddd Casey fangirling over OB made my day wtf
Sorry this is so long! I rant here bc no one else I know watches it 😭
“I beg your pardon?” You should, considering you just single handedly exploded my ovaries
I feel like the first part of the third episode where Loki and Mobius check out the fair was like a full fledged date where they just got to enjoy each other.
Marvel, you can do selfcest and a ghost clock loving another man but you can’t do Lokius??
I can just imagine Mobius and Dean Winchester just sitting down and bonding over a slice of pie while their respective boyfriends are lovingly watching next to them
My only thought for half of episode 5 of Loki is that Miguel O’Hara would have never let this happen smh
Just started the Loki season finale but let me tell you something…
The way Loki speaks to Victor makes me fucking feral like “Good job” “You’re doing so well” just reassuring him healed something in me (probably the daddy issues)
I don’t know why but seeing Owen Wilson in the MCU not as Owen Wilson is throwing me off for some reason
I haven’t seen the Loki finale yet and I have a feeling it’s going to be like spn 15x18. I can’t emotionally handle going through that again so I hope I’m wrong

LOKI S01E02 “The Variant”
1x04: "just kind of an asshole and a bad friend" - this scene, though!!
I don't see this scene discussed all that much, but for me it's a massive turning point, not just in the Lokius friendship but for Loki's own growth as a person who doesn't want to let down the people he respects and cares about. Mobius completely blows Loki's mind here and cuts him down with a graceful, yet blunt skill. He can almost read Loki's mind; no one has ever understood Loki like this before. But more importantly, why Mobius' reply here means so much:
He's not raising his voice. He's not giving Loki the angry and hurtful response that Loki expects and wants right now. That's because if Mobius hurts Loki back, if he retaliates in kind, it will distract Loki from the fact that he was a dick to the first real friend he ever had. It will make it much easier for Loki to lie to himself and excuse his actions, while avoiding any guilty feelings. Mobius is not going to give him that.
Mobius also refuses to play along with Loki's bratty drama, instead speaking to him in an honest way, showing that yeah, Loki did let him down and hurt his feelings. And that Mobius is angry, sure. But it's not a moment for petty, fake drama such as Loki tries to ignite.
Instead, it's his friend saying "I trusted you and put myself on the line for you and you betrayed me. You don't get to make this about anything else." (more below the break)
Owen Wilson's delivery on these lines could not have been more flawless. We get all of Mobius' feelings; he's just a regular guy at the end of the day, and his genuineness, his integrity is not what Loki is used to dealing with. He's knocked the ground out from under Loki, this simply, this easily.
Emotional stakes instead of shallow, selfish ones. Loki is thrown into real shock by this turn of events. This is not how he's used to being dealt with when he's been "bad." The child in Loki never matured past these tantrums, for reasons we can easily guess.
Instead of being enraged or saying a bunch of mean stuff back at him, Mobius calls it like it is, then moves on, as if Loki no longer deserves his attention. That is going to drive Loki so crazy.
Plus, Mobius gets Loki so completely that he already knows how his statement is going to hit him. That's why, when Loki's surprised expression appears, Mobius is expecting it and says, "Yeah, chew on that for a little bit."
In other words, "How do you like being treated like a person who is expected to be decent and considerate, as opposed to being treated like a threat or problem to be destroyed?"
I think the latter was damaging to Loki at first, but then, over time, so much easier for Loki to cope with. Enemies were playing into his hands by repeating back the same insults he's gotten used to, has toughened up to.
Nobody has believed in him and expected - not just demanded - but expected better from Loki, until Mobius.
Knowing that he almost immediately tarnished such a friendship hits completely different and Loki is thrown by it.
Mobius sees Loki 100% for who he is and knows how to get under his skin when necessary, knows how to get past Loki's bravado in a way no one else has done.
But part of that skill is because Mobius really still can't help loving Loki to bits, and as hurt as he is here, he has not completely given up on Loki. It's Mobius' genuine, heartfelt responses to Loki that allow him the empathy to give as good as he gets, but more than that, to care enough, specifically, to try and help Loki learn to be better.
I just love them so much-- 😭💓💞

I just had a thought if Sylvie Laufeydottir can possess humans do you think she could possess animals and use them as spies.
