oh my GOD in the FIRST EPISODE ALONE:

- nick listening to jess’s advice about talking to caroline

- he literally turns down a date with the girl he’s been crying over for half a year because he realized jess was getting stood up

- he RUNS to her at this fancy restaurant

- pretends to be her boyfriend

- and then SERENADES HER with the song from the movie he knows she watches to feel better

and then every time he looks at her for the rest of the series he looks at like he is devestatingly in love with her

what’s you favorite kind of sandwich? where do thoughts come from? who is your favorite fictional character?

probably a shrimp po boy. i’m honestly not quite sure where thoughts come from but i suppose they come from everything? your brain’s reaction to and processing of external stimuli? and i’m verrrry indecisive but most likely peter parker or hermione granger, just the characters that influenced me the most when i was younger.

With Ted Lasso over, it’s time to return home to New Girl.

If I had a nickel for every time a sitcom featured a funeral scene in which a character mourns their father by leading the congregation in a doleful impromptu rendition of a classic rock song, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot. But it’s weird that it happened (at least) twice.
