Standing with RDA is not standing on the side of humans. It never was, because RDA does not represent humaity; it represents a system that values profit over human lives and wastes them with no second thought. Lack of funding in certain areas, chronic illnesses no one tells the staff members about, dangerous missions with no safety precarious, lethal gasses that RDA encourages its soldiers to inhale because their lives just don’t matter, unethical cloning and so much more. (all of the above is cannon)
Being a human, standing with humans means going AGAINST RDA. It’s the most human thing one can do; resist. You don’t stand with humanity when defending a bloodthirsty corp. You stand with a monster that kills it.
Slightly hot take: It was hard to care about Legacies not putting in effort to maintain Hope's relationships with the Mikaelsons when The Originals didn’t put any effort into building them in the first place. Nothing in The Originals alludes to the fact that Hope was close with any of them aside from maybe Freya.
We see her facetiming Kol but we don’t know how often that happened previously and they don’t share any scenes in season 5. Their one scene in season 4 is him using her to get Davina back.
Hope and Rebekah don’t share any scenes in season 5 either. Additionally, there was nothing alluding to them keeping in contact during the time jump. Their only one-on-one scene in season 4 was when Hope was possessed by the hollow.
Hope seemed to have a decent relationship with Marcel, but again, nothing alluding to him staying in close contact with her during the time jump.
A lot of people say that Freya helped Hayley raise Hope, which I don’t understand considering Hope was at a boarding school for 9 months of the year. Yes, it’s likely that she visited Hope on occasion but Alaric probably saw Hope more than Freya or Hayley did.
People complain about Elijah not being mentioned enough in the show when Hope knew him the least out of all her extended family.
Many fans claim that Legacies erased Hope's relationships with the Mikaelsons when in actuality those relationships were only vaguely present in The Originals. None of the Mikaelson siblings spent long amounts of time with Hope so it’s hard to believe that she had these deep, meaningful relationships with them that people claim she had prior to Legacies. Most of the time they spent with her was when she was a baby, which she wouldn't be able to remember.
And that’s not to say that Legacies is innocent in this! Not in the slightest. The lack of the Mikaelson's presence in the show was definitely one of their many ways to prop H/andon as well as the found family trope with the Hope + Saltzmans. Claire, Riley, and Charles all said that they were happy to make appearances dating back to when season 1 was airing. I just think a lot of Mikaelson fans overhype Hope's relationships with the Mikaelsons, oftentimes at Hope's expense.
The Mikaelsons definitely loved Hope, but none of them truly knew her in a meaningful way outside of her being the family's redemption. I doubt any of them know her favorite color or what kind of music she likes or if she’s in any clubs at school. Their actual knowledge of Hope as a person (not a beacon of light or an extension of Klaus and Hayley) is very shallow, which sucks considering how much potential there was in each of their relationships with her.
Sometimes when people on the Internet are like "ADULTS CAN NEVER INTERACT WITH MINORS IT'S CREEPY" I remember how, at 12, back in 1997, I was on the Witchvox forums with people ranging from me to people in at least their 50s, and no one there was ever a creep to me, no one ever made me feel uncomfortable or asked for my personal info, and when I finally broke down after a particularly brutal day of bullying at school and posted about it they were the first adults I'd ever met in my entire life who told me the bullies were the problem and it was okay to be angry about it.

however, the goal of this comic was to inspire people to do your OWN research on indigenous history. To question everything we have been taught, and everything that has been pointedly left out. This erasure, this “forgetting”, of history is not just of the past… it is happening now. - Across so-called Canada, the US, and US-occupied islands, native women are victims of murder at 10-12x the rate of non-native people, and are the most likely to go missing without being searched for by the law. - Native reservations have the highest rates of poverty in the US, with over HALF of tribal homes with no access to clean water (with more joining this list by the year) - Native people are 6-10x more likely to be unhoused than the rest of the population, and native teens suffer suicide rates higher than any other demographic. This list of modern day genocide goes on (thank you for compiling @theindigenousanarchist <3) and yet take a look at those environmental stats!
Native people manage to do SO much for the planet as a whole - thanklessly - and with all this stacked against them. Don't even get me started on kin fighting in south america. Could you imagine if there was help? #landback is resistance to genocide, and it is the key to saving our warming earth.
So look into it and the other hashtags, cuz a cartoon goose ain't a substitute for a proper education. “I don’t care about you, Jimin. I care about that dick in the dressing room and I’m going to kill him.” You hiss and Jimin’s eyes widen astronomically.
“Kim Taehyung? I thought you love him! Wasn’t that why you bugged me for three months straight after you realized I got this job? So you could get into the after party and sleep with him? Which you did!” He glares.
“Yeah? That’s before he left this on the night stand,” You seethe, slapping the envelope against his chest.
“What is this? An autographed picture bec—oh,” Jimin blinks when he opens it, “That is… that’s a lot of money.”
Jimin glances at the money and then back at you.
“Are you going back there to say thank you?”

“Fan my ass,” you scoff, shoving your best friend out of the way before coming face to face with the man in question. “I’ve got a bone to pick with you, You atomic fuck.”
“Excuse me?” Tae cocks a brow at you before he squints with recognition. “Do I know you?”
“Intimately,” You seethe before holding the envelope up.
“Oh,” he says immediately. “Oh.”
“Yeah, oh,” you repeat, “I came here to give this back to you.”
“You did?”
“You did?”
Taehyung pins Jimin with a look and the boy takes a hint, making himself scarce.
“Okaaaay,” Taehyung says, “may I ask why?”
“Because I’m not a prostitute, you idiot,” you glare.
“You’re not?” He frowns. “But you were so eager the other night…?”
“Because I like you and I like your music!” You explain.
“Oh!” His eyes widen with a sudden realization, “So you’re a groupie?”

Jimin’s snickering behind the two of you.
“So you snuck into my after party, spent the better part of the evening hitting on me, followed me up to my hotel room to have sex with me because you like my music—but you’re not a groupie?” He blinks.
“Yes! Exactly!” You huff.
“Awesome. Glad we cleared that up.” He says, “Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a show to prepare for—“
“Oh, no you don’t!” You grab him by the satin shirt and he pauses, “You owe me an apology.”
“For What, giving you the best sex of your life and then paying you for it?” He scoffs.
“Who said it was the best sex of my life?”
“You did,” he informs, “Literally. You said it at the end.”
“Everyone knows that you can’t trust post sex talk. That’s like prime saying shit you don’t mean time. You know—oh my god you were the best I’ve ever had! Oh my god I think I love you! Hey, I think that weird mole might be cancerous,” you explain and both men send you a weird look. “Not based off of real experiences by the way.”
Taehyung pauses a long beat, giving you a once over as he tries to recall what it was that attracted him to you. That night you had said all the right things—you were bold and sexy and confident—just how he liked his girls and yet there seemed to be something more. A comfort he hadn’t felt with most girlfriends much less a one night stand on the road. If he were being honest with himself he knew you weren’t a prostitute, but a part of him had connected with you in a way he hadn’t with anyone else. It was all too real. The sex, the laughter, the warmth.
You didn’t get that with a one night stand—and he would know. He had them… a lot. The money had just been a way to put some distance between him and the feelings brewing in the pit of his stomach. “Okay,” He says suddenly and you narrow your eyes at him in confusion.

Jimin nearly gets whiplash.
“Seriously?” His jaw goes slack and you punch him. “You’re asking her out on a date? You thought she was a hooker like fiv—ouch!”
was scrolling a blog and saw someone saying the only people who harassed predstrogen were photography mathew and terfs, and i'd like to remind you that predstrogen was also being mass harassed by "transandrophobia is real" losers and as soon as her blog was deleted, transandrodorks took advantage to make up accusations of her of sexual harassing them and of being sexual with minors (the ceo even followed a blogger saying that). i think it's important not to ignore the incredibly violent transmisogyny of all groups who targeted her, and that includes the transmascs who worked with terfs to make a woman's like hell.

I think some people miss the fact that the Phantom Thieves are playing right into Yaldabaoth's hands when they change people's hearts. They're basically proving that people need someone else to act for them and that people aren't willing to solve their own problems. Just look at how they end up sending their targets back into the depths of Mementos.
Don't get me wrong, the Thieves are doing good by freeing people from Yaldy's control and from their selfish distorted desires (which are just another form of control), but they are also showing that people are unwilling to free themselves from Yaldy's control on their own. When people don't free themselves, they only end up being imprisoned even further by society. That's why all the morally redeemable characters in the game change their own hearts, and that's why the Bad Ending is Akira deciding to keep society just as it is under Yaldy's control, with the Phantom Thieves as heroes who continue to change the hearts of individuals, but society as a whole is kept stagnant for eternity.
This is also why the public's support for the Thieves is so important in the final battle. Without their support, the Thieves couldn't have defeated Yaldy, because the public needed to show that they wanted their hearts changed, that they didn't want to be controlled after all. They all needed to show a will of rebellion against their oppressor or the Phantom Thieves would have just become the same thing Yaldabaoth was doing by removing their free will. Prior to fighting Yaldy the PT don't respect the agency of their targets, and they solve other people's problems without thinking about how that might affect the person they're saving. By defeating Yaldabaoth, they let go of that power and give control back to the individuals of society so they can start to change their own lives again. The public shouldn't and can't rely on Yaldabaoth to solve their problems, and they shouldn't and can't rely on the Phantom Thieves to solve their problems either.
And again, don't get me wrong, Persona 5 says that it is good and even necessary to get help from others, but if you really want to improve your life you need to act for yourself. If society is going to improve people need to take destiny into their own hands. Persona 5 is about finding hope even in the darkest circumstances by forging connections with other people and refusing to let society crush you under its heel. But the key to this all is that you must choose to fight against the cruelties of society, even if it seems impossible. Hope for change can be seen by finding belonging with others and working together to change society for the better. In the words of Morgana:
"Even if you feel that only darkness lies ahead...as long as you hold hands together...see it through as one...the world will never end!"

I miss the time when Sonic had characterization like this, when he was one who dispensed simple yet wise and compassionate lines. I couldn’t envision these lines coming out of the mouth of any character other than him. And it’s a tremendous pity how his character is being shoehorned into comedic roles that aren’t even funny or clever such as Colours, which exaggerates his character for no good reason and makes a compelling part of his character effectively jump off a cliff because of the all-consuming fixation on making him out to be a ‘comical’ character to the detriment of so many of his other traits and quirks.
Truly a shame. The character has been so much more and can be so much more.
