this is from a sideblog i posted a bunch on for like 2 days and then abandoned but i rly like this post and this blog reaches more of you so appreciate the things that happen in my mind at 1:33 am

aphrodite has a long and complicated morning routine including meditation, a complex scincare regimen, and replying to fan letters.

dionysus doesn’t get hangovers (duh. he’s a god) but pretends he feels crummy just for an excuse to stay in bed later. also he was out till like 5 am so like

hestia has no time for any sort of ‘slow living’ morning routine or whatever. she gets up, washes her face, and gets to work at the hearth.

zeus has no idea what a morning routine is. even if he did, he would not have one.

demeter grows mint on her windowsill and makes fresh tea every morning. she drinks it outside as the sun rises over the grain fields.

hermes goes for a run and maybe steals something (anything) along the way. thievery gives him this rush that just running never could. back on olympus, he checks his twitter.

artemis gets up around 8, picks the blood from yesterday’s hunt out from under her fingernails, and heads out for the day.

apollo wakes up between 10 and 11. first thing he does is text his most recent love interest. repeatedly. until they reply. and then some after that. also he is the sun god and therefore already has the best glow so why even bother washing his face

hera begins each day with an ambrosia and nectar face mask, a trenta filled completely with espresso alone (not recommended for mortals. or other gods, for that matter) and a fresh manicure. she is completely ready and awake by 8am.

posiedon goes for a quick swim (only a few miles) and polishes his trident.

athena wakes up at a time specifically chosen based off of her sleep habits for maximum energy during the day. she gets a glass of water and then reads for about an hour.

ares sets his alarm clock for 4am every day so he can be the first person at the gym. many mornings, he breaks his alarm clock in a fit of rage. on these mornings, he spends the first 5 minutes on amazon, ordering a new alarm clock. then he drinks a massive whey protien shake and heads to the gym.

hades takes cerberus for a walk to the river styx and back and then begins his work for the day.

Zeus' POV during the rebellion

Fun fact about Greek mythology: in many versions of the story, Hestia, Hera and Demeter are actually the oldest of the six siblings (the other three being Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus). Zeus was the YOUNGEST of Rhea and Cronus’s children, but he was in the mortal world (not Cronus’s stomach) for the longest time so he is considered the oldest. All their ages basically got reversed because they had to go backwards age order to get out of Cronus.

So what is my point, you may ask?

In PJO, the prophecy says “a halfblood of the eldest gods shall reach sixteen against all odds.” By the logic shown above, this could be a child of Hestia, Hera, and Demeter as much as it could be a child of Zeus, Poseidon, or Hades.

So imagine if everyone was freaking out about Percy turning sixteen and then this Demeter kid stands up and kills Luke/Cronus. How shook the camp would be. Like, Demeter kids. Not at the bottom of the chain of respected godly parents, but low down. Defeats Cronus.
