My first fanfic
I am so nervous, but I really loved this idea and I had to write it!

I made this fic to delve deeper into Izzy's character and the psychological consequences of hiding traumas as a method of defense. To a large extent it is a hug to myself, as a person with PTSD, because knowing that I am not alone in the process is a great comfort. Many times my best companions are the characters I read, so I hope this fanfic also brings a little warmth when you read it.
I love the Shadowhunters series because it addresses mental illness as an integral part of the characters without condemning them to be unhappy just because their mind is sometimes not completely healthy.
We deserve to be happy.

I love this! CAN SOMEONE PLEASE PLEASE DO A PIC, FANFIC OR ANYTHING SIMILAR?!? There’s too many Fanfics that have romantic characters or whatever (I’m sorry if that’s rude). I just prefer non romantic relationship dynamics lol. I’m sorry, I went OVER BOARD on tags (didn’t mean to lol!), had a seizure so brain is fuzzy today. Okay but in all seriousness none of us but the youngest ones have it as bad as me so it makes sense. But I'm just saying. If we all got psych evaluations, I'm pretty sure that only one of us and the two year old who's too young for a definite diagnosis anyway would remain undiagnosed with some form of neurodivergence

Tbh, this is part of why I am intensely glad we're homeschooled. First off, we don't have to deal with any of the bull the rest of y'all get. Second off, as nd as we are? Some of us would be bullied, and I cannot guarantee that murders would not be committed.
... okay probably not murder but definitely assault. There are too many protective older siblings in this family.

Words can not adequately express how this little scene moved me. Leo and Mikey are very near and dear to my heart, so to see such a tender moment between two younger brothers is EVERYTHING to me.
King is such a powerful statement as well because younger Leo wanted nothing more than to be recognized by his brothers as someone worth noticing hence dubbing himself as “King Leo.” So to see Leo cRaDLiNg his littler brother and giving him the title Leo has wanted so much as a child just…it hit me man. Mikey is Leo’s hero and I really wanted to try and capture that moment of the relief and joy of seeing his brother come back even if it was just for a moment. Also *tips hat and bows in Tapa’s direction* Been a big fan for a fat moment ma’am and just want to express my gratitude for you doing what you’re doing. Words won’t ever be enough to express how incredibly impressed and in awe of your skill and abilities. You’re inspiring people honey, and the worlds honestly a better place because of what YOU do.
