Hear me out okay doomed by the narrative Bella desperately grasping for control in a life she can’t change

Bellatrix grew up being told every day of her life who she would be, how evil she’d become, by her cousins, by her classmates, even her beloved sisters. it was in her blood, it was her destiny.

She spent everyday of her life pushing herself past the limits, past the expectations. Further than anyone expected of her.

Now as she stood eyes meeting her lovers terrified gaze, mind shattered. She smiled, she wasn’t ruled by fate. She made herself a monster fate had nothing to do with it.

Rita wrote the most horrid articles about Bella that you can imagine after they broke up about 60% of it was true and they got worse every time

Thinking about quillkiller and how Rita fell first and Bella fell harder. That Bellatrix never really showed Rita how much she really loved her until she was already gone. She treated Rita like shit most of the time but losing her is what finally pushed her over the edge. she drove away her big sister and her favorite cousin and then after everything, the one person who truly loved her, who didn’t think she was completely insane? Well she drove her away too. Losing Rita killed her eventually, not immediately, but it was the point of no return to the rapid deterioration of her sanity. After she lost Rita she had nothing left to slow the fall, no where to turn but the deatheaters and that’s what killed her.

!!! To be clear this is not to romanticize toxic relationships. I do not at all support that or think quillkiller is healthy or cute. This is just how I think quillkiller would play out because Bella was already too far gone even before she got to Hogwarts. Her relationship with Rita was incredibly unhealthy for them both. !!!

So tired. And it's so fucking weird that this is the only fandom I've seen constantly crying about everyone not liking the same thing. What's up with that? Have you lot never learned of the word tolerance? How do you live irl? That type of thinking can not be sustainable with actual people in your lives. Like, can yall imagine going around and telling strangers in your favourite cafe that they can't drink black coffee because YOU don't like black coffee😭😭

Would anyone be interested in a canon compliant fanfic about the Black sisters? Andy and Bella are twins, cause why not, Narcissa is one year younger. It would have graphic depiction of violence (crucio, fights etc) and Bella slowly going insane. It would include Quillkiller, Tedromeda and Nobleflower (no smut or anything!!!) I'm thinking about writing it, but I probably wouldn't be able to update regularly and English isn't my first language. I can post some of it on Tumblr, but I'm planning the whole work on Ao3. It would be my first published fic. I'm warning you - A LOT of angst!!!

Young Rita Skeeter Head-cannon Time!!!

So, since she was a Slytherin pureblood her family(mainly her father) drilled into her the blood purest views since 11. She was told that since her family motto(in vincula) means to be bound together, they would always stick together and join the Dark Lord when he started to gain power. Once Rita was 17, suggestive comments about being a death eater turned into hateful threats by her own parents. Luckily, she avoided this until she was 18 1/2, but was forced to join. Since young Rita was a badass, she convinced Voldemort that she could be a great spy. She told him about her ability to write, twist the truth out of people, and her brand new job at the Ministry. She then convinced him not to give her the mark (as all ministry workers were to be inspected daily) but to tie her to his army with an unbreakable vow. She vowed to “serve the dark lord until one side rejoiced in the end of the war” (which was very smart of her not to include a side). Finally, when the war ended, there was no evidence tying her to the death eaters.

(Bonus: her parents were killed in an Order attack by Mad-eye Moody ((she literally celebrated her dad dying)) but Bellatrix hated her for eternity and tried to kill her over 20 times)

Side note 1: there is no record of a skeeter family motto or anyone other than rita in jkr’s work so i made up some shit.

side note 2: the motto was literally found on google and i feel that it shows dedication to her life, family, and loved ones

side note 3: i ship quillkiller and believe rita caved into becoming a death eater easier because Bella was already one.
