Reading Problems - Tumblr Posts
So one of the few downsides of being a reader is that I know words, but have no idea what those words mean, but at the same time I do.
Like, I can use big, fancy words when I'm writing/talking, it's one of the reasons I sound like such a nerd all the time. Because I know what those words mean. But then when somebody who doesn't know it asks me 'what does that mean' the conversation usually goes something like:
Random Person: so what does resplendent mean?
Me: uhhhhh... good? glowy? think like... hot, pretty, dude?
Person: what???
Me: idk man, it just means resplendent
This can just be a me problem, right? Like, words don't make sense: they just do.
My mother just asked me "Is it cold outside?" And I swear I was literally about to tell her " Are you kidding ? It feels like we're in Fjerda" but I had to stop because my mother would have thought that I'm crazy (she already thinks that but shh)
No one of the people that I know understands my fandom jokes, my life is DIFFICULT
Mood fr 😔😔
Girl help! I started reading an abandoned fic that I didn’t think I would get invested in, and now I’m invested!
I clowned myself.
We got our writing assessment back and I got flagged for making up a quote that didn’t exist, but guys.
Guys.
I didn’t make it up; it was a quote from the fanfic I stress-binged the night before my assessment.
My least favorite thing about multiple pov books, is how the author inevitably tries to switch povs consistently but there are always those parts where one pov is full of action and really interesting and the other (s) is soooo boring in comparison. And I have to force myself to not skip the boring povs temporarily, and I hate it
