Be Okay pt.1

Angst, mentions of cheating. You find your lover with another woman and decide it’s time to move on.
Your pov
I wish things were different. My lover, Satoru, has been acting different lately. He’s not so cheerful anymore and neither am I. I just didn’t realize how much pain I would be in. I can’t stay with him anymore. He no longer treats me the way he use to. I’ve tried to talk to him about my feelings, but he acts like nothing is wrong. I don’t smile as much I use to. My heart aches with my realization. That our love has failed. That all of those sweet words were temporary and that we were doomed from the start. That soon enough I will be losing my “perfect romance.
Today I found out he was seeing another woman. I don’t know her name, but I do know that she is very pretty. I found them at a coffee shop four blocks from our shared apartment. I never heard what they said. I just saw how Satoru smiled when he looked at her. It wasn’t a half assed smile either. This was the same way he looked at me throughout our four year relationship. He looked like he was enjoying himself with her. She was just as enthusiastic about being with him as well.
At first I tried to deny the truth from myself. That maybe she was just a friend that he hadn’t seen in a long time and they were catching up. That he maybe was just putting on a happy act with a friend. But my theories were shot down quickly when I saw something that crushed my very soul. He kissed her. And not just a small peck. But a genuine kiss filled with passion and even perhaps, love.
After I saw them share a kiss, I decided to go home. My heart was aching so bad that it felt as though the very air in my lungs were bricks. With tear stained eyes, I pushed my way into the apartment. I didn’t even make it to the couch as my legs felt so weak. I just had to stop and and cry. I had never cried so hard In my life.
My tears fell and my face grew numb from my cries. The emotions going through me were a mix of sadness, pain, anger, and confusion. It’s felt as though they were all mixed up in a sort of emotional wave. It could control my cries nor did I want to. So I let myself feel for as long as I needed to.
About an hour later, I started to calm down. I still felt horrible, but now I needed to take care of myself. I’m not going to wallow in my pain right now. Satoru could be home soon and I just don’t want to face him. Why should I? Why should I face him, when he wasn’t ready to face me? Why couldn’t he just say he didn’t love me anymore? I would’ve preferred that over finding him with that beautiful woman.
I decided I needed to leave. There was nothing holding me to this apartment anymore. Satoru paid for it. Lord knows he can afford it. So got up and went into our shared bedroom to pack my things. Good thing I’ve never been one too hold on to a lot of stuff. Just some clothes, toiletries, and a few souvenirs I had from my childhood. And I packed them all in about two suitcases and a small bag.
I called f/n and told them everything going on and they didn’t hesitate to let me stay with them until I could find my own place to stay. It feels so nice to have someone like them. Hell, I don’t know how well I’ll manage without their support. They told me they’d be over in 15 minutes and right now I’m just hoping Satoru won’t be come home. I don’t wish to see the man that broke my trust.
While waiting, I wrote him a letter. Explaining my feelings without actually talking to him because I know that I would not be able to contain my emotions. In the letter, I told him what I saw. And how there is no way that he wasn’t with her after what I had seen. How he had broken my trust and threw our love away like it was nothing. Like how I was nothing. I thanked him for loving me though all these years and hoped that at least some of it was real. Finally I told him that I hope he’s happy with her and that I will be moving on with my life. That I do not wish for him to contact me. That I am going to be okay.
I left the note on the kitchen counter along with the necklace he gave me on our first anniversary. I didn’t even look back at the apartment and I’m so glad that he didn’t come home while I was waiting for f/n. I feel like I somehow waisted years of my life on someone who could never truly love me. And that hurt my heart even more. I just hope one day that I can be okay. I’m just sad that he won’t be in my life anymore. But it’s going to be okay.
Thank you so much for reading❤️ I will be making a PART 2 for this. It will have Satoru’s pov and what happens to next. I might make this in to a series, but we’ll see. Thanks.

Angst, mentions of cheating
Gojo’s Pov
I miss her. Y/n has been distant recently and I have no idea why. I don’t understand what happened to our love. We use to make people jealous by how we were. She was my perfect escape from this death and corruption filled life. From my work as a sorcerer. But now that love seems dull and lifeless. However, this woman in front of me makes me forget about the love I once had. Even if just for a little while. Am I a bad person for cheating on my so called lover even when I’m not sure we are in love anymore?
I do love y/n and I always have and always will. I hope one day we can go back to how things were, so for now I’ll enjoy the time I have with the beautiful woman in front of me who’s name I still don’t know. I only met her days ago. Her incredible soft lips are intoxicating and taste like cherry. It’s feels go good being able to be with someone like this. Even though I wish it was y/n. I wish she would talk to me. I wish I could be taking her out like this. I wish I could pamper her and tell her how much I love her. I know I don’t deserve her especially after today, but she’s still mine and I know she’ll be there when I come back home. And that thought makes me feel warm despite the lack of love in our shared home.
I said goodbye to the woman who’s name I still don’t know and don’t care to know. Instead of getting a taxi, I decided to walk. I don’t really know what made me decide to walk home, but I just felt like I needed to clear my head a bit. My heart feels conflicted. I got what I wanted right? I got the affection I so desperately wanted? I got to be with someone who wanted my affection, right? So, why do I feel so shitty right now? Is it because deep down I know how fucked up I am right now? Is it because I know that if y/n ever found out that I’d never be able to love her the way I want to again?
My thoughts are interrupted by a car passing me. It looked oddly familiar, but I couldn’t remember who that car belonged to. Maybe y/n will know? When I got up to our shared apartment, I felt a sense of uneasiness. It felt wrong and I hoped that once I opened the door seeing her would cure me of that awful feeling.
To my shock, the lights were off and my lover was no were to be seen. While turning on the lights, I called out for her, but received no voice back. I was nervous and my mind was in a frenzy. I pulled out my phone and called her, but it immediately went to voicemail. At this point I was panicking. What if she was hurt? What if she got lost? My eyes trailed our apartment. Tears filled my eyes when I saw her necklace and a letter underneath it. Carefully I moved the necklace and picked up the letter.
Reading the letter, my heart sunk. I chest felt heavy and it felt hard to breathe. She had seen me with that woman. She saw my sinful actions. She knew what I had done to her. And now my greatest fear had come to pass. She is gone. My life, my greatest love and passion is gone. So many thoughts swam through my head. What have I done? Why did I fuck up so badly? Why? Why? Why?
I don’t know how long I cried for. I don’t know how long I was lying on the floor calling out for her. How badly I wish I could take it back and hold her and telling my lover everything perfect about her. I decided to get up after some more time. I went to the counter where the necklace is placed. I carefully picked it up and examined it. She wore it everyday. She wore it even when our love was at its weakest. Even when I was unfaithful to her she still wore it. I put on the precious item so I could keep it as close to me as possible. Holding the last piece of her as close to my heart as I can. With tears in my eyes I decided right then and there that I would stop at nothing to get my lover back so that we could be okay.
There is a third and final part to this. Thank you so much for reading and see you in the next part!❤️❤️

Part 3
✮ 𝗡𝗢𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗘 𝗔𝗦𝗞𝗘𝗗: idk if you'll accept this request, but some jjk men x male reader head-canons of them taking care of depressed!reader? (they're secretlyin love with him) maybe a gf or friend died or smth and they notice reader is becoming depressed?
𝗗𝗨𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗔𝗖𝗧! ꒰ gojo, geto, nanami, yuuta / m!reader ꒱: mentions of death, depression, weight loss, panic attacks, ptsd, and anxiety. angst, hurt/comfort, these hcs are alot take caution.
𝐁𝐄𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀 𝐉𝐔𝐉𝐔𝐓𝐒𝐔 𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐑 isnt for the faint of heart, but sometimes there is no choice. and something that comes with the price of being a sorcerer is that death constantly surrounds you. whether or not your partner is a sorcerer or not, they could be killed at any moment. and you were aware of that, but in the moment pain unlike any other struck. it hurt, it burned, it made you want to throw things, fight, anything to relief the pain. they watched when you brutally killed the cause of your partner's death, anger and grief coated on your face. it hurt for them to see you like this. so broken, unlike how you are normally. when they wished they were with you, that you didn't already have someone, thi sis not what they meant. so they do everything in their power to help you feel better.
SATORU GOJO
꒰ satoru would be the man to give you some space. whether it was him during his teenage years or him in his adult life. he understands how it feels to lose someone, and to grief. so at first he gives youspace, offering help to you if you need it, carefully keeping watch on you while sticking to a distance. and after a while, bandage or blindfold, he could tell something was wrong. you stopped talking, stopped eating, your uniform didn't quite fit anymore. he didn't notice it until he thought about the times youpushed away his generous offers of sweet treats. he noticed the eyebags, and the dullness of your once bright eyes. he had to help.
꒰ the regret (PTSD) that he wasn't able to save his best friend years ago still stuck to him. he mentally punished himself for missing the signs that something was wrong, that suguru needed. there was no way, he was going to let the man he loves so much reach the level that suguru went to. he quicklyand desperately lunged to help. he reached out hishand and no matter if you pushed him away, cursed him out, threw something at him, he'll drop infinity and wrap you in his gargantuan arms and gave you ahug you desprately needed. he gives you the intimacy you pushed away from. he lets you cry on intimacy you pushed away from. he lets you cry on his shoulder, just holding you, no matter how long it takes, he'll hold you until you fall asleep in his arms. he'd never put you down, he probably wouldn't say a word.
꒰ talk? he'll listen. need to punch something? he'll train with you. his hands were gentlewith you, they wipe away your tears and hold you close, giving you the warmth you so desperately need. and slowly but surely he'l encourage you. he'll delicately push you to hang out with him and shoko once in a while. he'll hand you small meals that get abit bigger after a certain time. he'l give you his sweets and ever so carefully slide his hand intoyours. and if you jerk back he won't get mad, hell be hurt, but he understands. he respects your boundaries. but if you let him hold your hand, you'll see the happiest satoru giggling about some prankhe pulled on nanami. he'l slowly do somewhat romantic things, or he'll plan things that force you to socialize.
꒰ would carefully test the waters with you throughtout the years. he never wanted to be too soon with making his feelings known, so he was patient and waited until you looked much healthier. he waits until you finally start choosing to social, choosing to smile, to go on missions again. satoru gojo loves you, he always will, even if you don't love him back. but he'll always make subtle tries. whether it be jokes or slight touches, testing what he can and cannot do. regardless, he's there for you. no matterwhat. he might not be the best at communicating his emotions, or comforting your own. but he lets you know he's there, waiting with a free hug. as afriend or boyfriend. and if he gets to call you his husband? that's even better.
SUGURU GETO
꒰ suguru would also be someone who tries togive you space, but he just doesn't. like most jujutsu sorcerers do, he understands the pain of losing someone. and he knows what happened to himself after amanai's death. he never wants you to go through the same struggle he went through. so while he'l let you grieve how you do, he's paying close attention to and sticking to you, making sure youdon't decline. he'd do anything for you to make youheal correctly instead of just temporaryily stapling the wound like he did. whether that be sitting fully clothed in the bath with you, or being the big spoon and holding you for hours. if you just couldn't keepup with your hygiene like you used to, he'l cut your hair for you, help you brush your teeth. if you really need help bathing, he'll help with that too. he'll just remain extremely concerned for your wellbeing.
꒰ when i say watches you, i mean watches you. there's no "summer stress" excuse with him. (i think) he's one to be gentle with you, while be firm. he's not one to yell at you, but will use a stern voice to encourage you if need be. if you are one to have panic attacks, the first time it happened, it freaked him out. he pretty much didn't leave you after that. however, he learned how to calm you down, how to help. its hurts him to see such a strong man so ruined, and the curse that harmed your partner was by far one of the worst tasting ones. but no matter what, he'll hold you. your back to his chest and his arms wrapped securely around you, encouraging you to take deep breaths, attempting to ground you in any way he could.
꒰ this experience is probably one where the two of you get closer. he'd never, push you too far, or even try anything intimate with you unless you let him. the farthest he's ever gone is maybe a hug that he got a nod of approval for. but if you need it, he'll cradle your head to his chest and likely hum to get you to fall asleep (something he used to do with nanako and mimiko). after a while, his humming isone of the only ways to get you to fall asleep. and he'll do it everytime without fail. suguru wants you, he does. and every night he hums to help you sleephe wishes he could hold you and kiss your foreheadhe wishes he could provide more intimate comfort, he wouldn't dare ask for. however, when your eyes bags start to disappear and your no longer looking as ifyour lugging around your limbs he finds the tiniest bit of hope. but no matter what, suguru is a man of consent. and he'll wait, and wait. carefully takingcare of you, treating you like glass, while hee ncourages you do things. he'll wait until he can finally hold your hand. the time suguru geto would wait for you never has a limit. he'll always wait for you, whether it be with a comforting hug or a kiss.
KENTO NANAMI
꒰ who better to understand you than him? kento nanami who lost his other half, Yuu Haibara, at the age of 16. he understands perfectly, which is why he doesn't leave you alone. if you explicitly ask for space, he'll give it to you. but otherwise, he's not leaving you be at all. he knows your a strong man, he's seen you fight. but nothing could break a man more than losing the person he loves. and he saw you lose your person and his heart broke along with yours. this man cannot stand seeing you sad ordepressed. the second he notices signs that go beyond the five stages of grief, he interferes. like suguru, he's one to be gentle while using a firm tone. he'll hold you like you're glass, but he'll also drag youalong to supervise gojo's students. he'll let you pour your feelinga out on him, but he'll tell you eat a quarter, then a half, then three-fourths, then the whole meal. he won't be aggressive, but he'll still be like.."eat" (gradually over time though! he doesn't want to push you that rough).
꒰ now he coped by being a workaholic, if your that type he has to dive into hypocrite mode and tell you to sit down for once. if you don't cope that way, but another negative way, he will do anything in hispower to stop you. if something he does in particular comforts you, then he'll keep doing it. he'll speak to you calmly, and let you rest your head on hisshoulder despite not being a touchy person. if need be he'll let you sleep over at his apartment and personally cook you breakfast. and despite how annoying gojo may be, kento does recognize that he often raises the atmosphere of the room to being more playful, so he does suggest hanging out with gojo and his students a lot.
꒰ now he's not an intimate person, and i don't think he'd ever try anything intimate with you. he understands that loosing a part of you hurts, and he would never accidentally hurt you by trying to be bold. he'salso not a physically intimate person. so yes, he does love you, so much. he'd do anything for you, but he'd never outright say or show it, especially after your tradegy. even years later, he'd likely not say much about his feelings. someone like gojo would have to convince him to say something to you or else he'l be stuck with the feeling unrequited love till the day he dies. but regardless, he respects boundaries and doesn't try to be as risky. if you don't like him, he'll have to deal with that. if you do decide to give it atry, he's literally ecstatic, but only in his head. he'll give you one his rare smiles and maybe hold yourhand.
YUUTA OKKOTSU
꒰ (OH GOD). yuuta's almost sharing the experience with you. he's re-experiencing what he went through, and he hates it. not that he would regret his relationship rika, but rather he hates that he has to experience you going through what he had to. hes so scrambly and worried. his mind is constantly running through different thoughts and how to help you. he likes you, so of course hell help you. but how? he gets anxious that he's bothering you, thathes making the process worse as he tries to stick toyou and let you talk about it him. (oh, its over for him if your an angry griever). regardless, yuuta has good ears. as in he's a good listener. he'd let you ramble, scream (he'd jump), cry, anything. he'd listen to youand validate your feelings. if you'llet him he'd carefully play with your hair and tell you he understands, he'l tell you how he'll do anything to help. i also think he's fantastic at hugs. to matter how jittery or anxious he may be, if you need a good hug and shoulder to cry on, he's right there.
꒰ when it comes to your physical health, he doesn't play. he's still kind of nervous when it comesto encouraging you. but if he starts to notic eeyebags, or loss in your weight (trust. hell notice), he immediately does everything in his power to help you. and he tries to be as happy as he can, thinking that maybe his happiness would eventually spread to you, or at least boost your attitude. he'd run to youwill a meal the both of you can share so you don't feel intimidating by having to eat a whole meal again, if you stopped. he'd suggest the both of you getting haircuts together if you let your hair grow too long. when it comes to stuff like that he suggets doing it together so you don't feel alone, so you don't feel like your terrible for letting this happen. if your hygiene got bad he'd never ridicule you or anything. yuuta would tell you its okay and like i said, offer getting haircuts for the both of you, offer getting clothes together, he'd try and encorperate your schedules together without being too pushy.
꒰ yuuta would be very nervous when it comes to the fact that he still loves you. the last time he was remotely in love with someone, he got hit by car and he accidentally cursed her. he's never really experienced healthy romance, or a a healthy life. he never really desired love, with the assumption rika would always come in between, preventing him from having healthy human interactions. but when it came to you, he's never wanted a relationship so bad. and he still wants you, but in understanding what its like to lose someone you love, he never pushes. he never tries to touch you too intimately or suggest intimate things. he's patient, he'll wait for you if he needs to. even if you don't like him like that, he'll always be available to you as someone you can go to for anything. he'd be in pain just like he was when you started dating someone else. but he knows its painful and hard to come back from losing someone so important. if you do heal, if you do want him like he wants you, he'd probably cry. but for right now he'll just remain someone you could trust and talk to.
꒰ n: repost from my original acc! i still hope i did this, and their characters, justice tho. ꒱

“Can I taste the frosting?”
Your lips curve into a smile. “Of course, angel.” You crouch down and hand the spatula coated in pastel pink frosting to your five-year-old daughter. Her little fist wraps around the handle, and joy spreads across her angelic face like rays of sunshine. “So? How is it?”
“It’s so good!” she exclaims, and you chuckle.
“I’m glad you like it.” You glance at the clock in your kitchen. “I’ll put the frosting in the fridge. While the cake bakes, go back to playing, and I’ll call you to help decorate the cake as soon as it’s ready, okay?”
Hinata nods, blowing you a kiss that you return after a moment of surprised hesitation, your lips forming an “O”. Amid delighted laughter, she skips away, and you turn back to face the bowl of cake batter.
Why does it have to be so hard?
Every birthday, you hold back tears because who said ‘single mom’ doesn’t rhyme with ‘baking your own birthday cake so your daughter can sing to you’? But what hurts more — this, or seeing your flesh and blood envy her female friends who have their dads in their arms and their mothers content with their families?
The silence of loneliness can sometimes be louder than company.
“Happy birthday! Happy birthday, mama!” your daughter sings, clapping her hands as you blow out your candles in the warm, yet dimly lit, living room. “Come on, come on! Let’s eat the cake!”
With a knife, you cut two slices, one for each of you, and it only takes a few more minutes for both your mouths to be covered in pink frosting, with laughter echoing in the room. The heartache, briefly chased away by the short-lived joy, returns later that night when your daughter snuggles up in your arms in your double bed, which seems to be missing something.
Fuck, being a single mom is tough, you think as you wipe away the tears flooding your cheeks with the back of your hand. No one to support you, all the responsibilities fall on your shoulders, and now doubts about your daughter start invading your mind: “What if she blames you later for not having a father?”, “What if she thinks you’re a bad mom?”, “Do her friends at school say anything about you being the only unmarried woman among all the parents in her class?”
These thoughts have never stopped, not even during your pregnancy, whether about the weight gained or lost, or the changes in your body. Are these regrets? But how could you regret bringing such an angel into the world? Maybe it’s more about the lousy partner who left you the second he found out you were pregnant.
Probably the second option.

“WHERE IS MY SON?!”
A male voice thunders across the entire floor of the company. You jump, turning to one of your colleagues over the small partition set up for employee privacy. “Who’s yelling like that?” you whisper, eyebrows raised in surprise.
“I heard it’s the new general manager…”
Your frown deepens. “Is that why they handed me the summary of our sales figures to drop off at the office upstairs?” To prove your point, you lift the massive stack of documents.
Your colleague presses his lips together, his eyes widening in a way that already gives you the answer. “Oh God, you’re the one in charge of that? Good luck. It’s to be delivered to the new director.”
A sigh escapes your lips.
For a start to the workweek, it seems you’re about to face the stormy mood of the new boss, who apparently brought his kid to the office. What a perfect beginning.
As usual, the upper floor is deserted, as it’s generally reserved for executives with direct ties to the company’s CEO. Few people take the elevator to reach the top floor of the skyscraper. Arriving in the lonely hallway, it should be a simple task to knock on the boss’s office door, drop off the elephant-weight stack of documents, and leave.
So why does the sound of running footsteps seem to be getting closer and closer behind you?
In a flash, a man dressed in a navy blue suit rushes past you, bumping your shoulder. He nearly topples the threatening stack of papers, but you manage, at the last second, to catch everything before you lose your balance. The young man opens the door to the women’s restroom, and before entering, he glances over his shoulder.
Never in your life have eyes made such an impression on you.
Two cerulean blue orbs lock onto yours with a mischievous aura. A smirk tugs at the corner of his thin, pink lips. From his pale skin to his albino hair, the man exudes charm and beauty from every pore. The sheer allure of his appearance leaves your brain too stunned to react, numbing it. How can someone be this handsome?
“SATORU!”
His serene and amused expression vanishes instantly, and you jump in response. Replaced by an exaggerated look of fear, he addresses you, “Cover for me. If he asks you, you never saw me!” And his tall, slender body disappears into the women’s restroom.
More footsteps echo down the hallway, this time from a second man, just as tall and physically similar to the young man you just encountered — though slightly older, with wrinkles lining his face and a mix of albino hair and silver from age. You have no time to react except to straighten up against the wall.
His blue eyes, more gray and stern, settle on you as he approaches. “Did you see a man? A tall idiot running around and flirting with any woman he sees,” he grumbles the last part, his eyes thoughtfully fixed on the light carpet.
You shake your head robotically. “No… I—”
“Never mind,” he cuts you off with a dismissive wave of his hand — as if your answer is irrelevant and he’s heard it at least twenty times before. He sighs and scratches at the stubble on his chin. “Who are you, anyway?”
“An employee, sir.” You gesture to the stack of documents that’s beginning to make its weight known in your arms. “I was asked to drop this off in your office.” The tone of your voice almost pleads with him to let you in and relieve you of the annoying burden.
“The report? Ah yes, of course.” You sigh in relief as he unlocks the door with his keys. “I suppose you’re wondering who I am?”
“The new general manager, I guess?” you reply, raising an eyebrow. You drop the heavy stack onto the desk and exhale deeply. “We heard you on every floor.” You can’t help but chuckle at your own remark, offering the director an apologetic smile.
He rolls his eyes, but a light chuckle still rumbles in his chest. “You’re right. It’s because of my son.”
His son?
You repeat the word aloud, confused, and he clarifies. “My son is the new CEO of this company, and I almost regret my decision to give him that position.” He shakes his head, his gaze drifting toward the blue sky visible through the large window, then refocuses on you. “I apologize in advance. He’s going to be a real handful.”
“I understand. I think we’ll manage to put up with him,” you add with a smile.
In the end, this new boss doesn’t seem as strict as your colleagues have been saying, and his story about his son is more amusing than anything. You cough slightly into your elbow and clear your throat, murmuring an apology.
“Are you sick?” the director inquires.
“A little,” you admit reluctantly, feeling embarrassed as you adjust the mask on your face. “Sorry. I couldn’t stay home.”
“No problem.” He crosses his arms over his chest and sighs. “Well, I think I have some work to do. See you later, I suppose.”
You don’t hesitate to leave the boss’s office and quietly step into the women’s restroom. “Is… someone here?” you murmur in a hoarse voice.
The creaking of a door answers you, and the general manager’s son emerges from a stall, looking cautious. He looks like a little boy checking to see if his hiding spot in a game of hide-and-seek has been discovered, which makes you stifle a discreet giggle. He turns to you and offers an apologetic smile. “Sorry about earlier. I didn’t hurt you, did I, sweetheart?”
The nickname catches you off guard, and warmth floods your face. “N-No, I’m fine. You’re the new CEO, right?”
“Satoru Gojo, at your service, pretty girl.” He winks, a reminder that he’s quite the flirt.
You introduce yourself in return, running out of things to say, your hands nervously clasped by your sides.
“Pretty name,” Satoru murmurs. He closes the stall door behind him and exhales, shaking his head. “Phew! That was a close one! Thanks again!” He strides toward the exit with one last charming smile in your direction, leaving the restroom and a lingering scent of cologne behind him.
°°°°
“Why aren’t you answering?”
“Damn it, you’re so annoying with this!”
“There’s no point in moving every few months, I’m going to find you.”
“For fuck’s sake, answer my messages! I told you I need you! I swear I’ll help you raise Hinata this time.”
“I made a mistake, so let me fix it by answering my fucking messages! I know you’re reading them!”
You swallow hard, your throat tight, and press the “block this contact” button on your phone. It’s the fourth time this month. He’s been harassing you with messages and finding a way to contact you no matter how many numbers he uses, even when you change yours. The same goes for your address, as apparently changing apartments is no longer enough to escape him.
You know he’s in debt — one of the many consequences of his excessive gambling, even when you were still in a relationship with him. Smoking, drinking, and of course, downing tobacco like it was water, only to charm you while hiding this lifestyle to get you into his bed, then fleeing the moment you were pregnant.
So now that he needs a woman and a child to escape his debts, he’s reaching out to you — the woman he abandoned after promising marriage (without a ring, of course), got pregnant, and deserted, only to come crawling back to you.
“Mama? You okay?”
Your daughter’s concerned little voice pulls you out of your daze. The cartoons playing on the TV haven’t had the desired effect — they’re not distracting her from the anxiety that’s been gnawing at you day by day. Maybe today, it’s showing enough for people to notice?
“I’m fine, angel,” you reassure her with a perfect smile — perfectly fake, because that’s something you’ve learned to anchor over time.
You pat the empty spot on the couch next to you, and she nestles under your arm. “If you say so…” Hina murmurs, clutching her worn-out bunny plush.
The state of the plush catches your attention, and a pang of guilt stabs at your heart. What kind of mother lets her daughter carry around a stuffed toy in such poor condition? Maybe you are a bad mother? Otherwise, why would Hina deserve such a pitiful situation? She deserves so much better than you…
“Little angel?” you murmur as she wraps her tiny arms around your waist and nuzzles into your belly. “Are you okay?”
“I love you.”
And the three little words sound… unreal.
Hot tears blur your vision, and it takes every bit of strength you have to whisper back, “I love you too, Hina.”
°°°°
3:00 PM.
In less than an hour, you’ll need to pick up Hinata from school.
Normally, you avoid lingering at work. You go through your usual routine as an employee, nothing special or fun — a hello, goodbye, see you tomorrow to colleagues without worrying about what’s happening around you or the gossip, even when it involves coworkers getting together.
The only change: now it’s you who gets stuck with the task of delivering all the documents to the general manager. According to one of your peers, he doesn’t seem to be strict or threatening when it comes to you. So this time, you’re tasked with delivering an additional file about the production of a new product on the market to both the CEO and the general manager. For the second time, you head up to the highest floors of the company headquarters to knock on the CEO’s door — it’s the closest. But no one answers.
No surprise, since the director’s son spends his time running through the hallways to avoid his father and shirk his responsibilities, right?
You’re about to knock on the Director’s door, but a familiar gust of wind brushes your face with a soft, fresh breeze. Satoru Gojo appears beside you with a charming smile and glances at what you’re holding.
“H-Hello, sweetheart. How are… you?” he greets, slightly out of breath from yet another chase with his father.
“I’m fine. Here.” You hand him one of the folders, and he takes it, pretending to read it. “The next meeting—” But he grabs the second document and, before you can react, opens the door to his office and casually tosses them inside before shutting the door.
“SATORU GOJO! KEEP IT UP, AND I’LL DISOWN YOU!” The boss’s voice echoes through the entire floor as he appears from behind the emergency exit door. “YOU!” He points a finger at you, standing right next to him. “Still bothering our employees?” He grumbles, his jaw clenched so tightly that you can hear his teeth grinding.
“That’s not true, father!” Satoru protests, feigning outrage. He wraps an arm around your waist and pulls you closer. “You’re chasing me while I’m just saying hello to my girlfriend?”
You freeze, turning your head toward him, as lost as the Director, who squints his eyes. “Your girlfriend? Since when—”
“I was going to tell you,” Satoru continues, shaking his head, his fingers squeezing your waist while you remain paralyzed. “Here’s my new girlfriend.”
“Are you lying to me and dragging some poor woman into your childish games?”
In the back of your mind, you note that he doesn’t seem to recognize you despite the last time you saw each other.
“What? I’m telling the truth! Isn’t that right, sweetheart?” And he leans in to plant an affectionate kiss on your cheek.
Your heart almost stops for a second. But you quickly snap back to reality under the insistent embrace of his arm and his hand around you. “Y-Yes…”
What kind of mess have you gotten yourself into?
“Well, if you’ll excuse us, father, my darling and I are in a hurry.” He leads you away before you have time to protest and heads toward the elevator with you.
Once the doors close, Satoru takes your hands in his and leans toward you. “I can explain everything.”
If his cerulean blue eyes hadn’t been so persuasive, you would have exploded right there and then to yell at him.
You, the girlfriend of the CEO of the company you work for? Did this really have to happen to you? You can already picture your termination letter under your nose as you exit the back of the building. A glance at your watch tells you that if you don’t hurry, you’ll be late to pick up your daughter.
“You’re in a rush?”
“I have to pick up my daughter before I’m late,” you reply curtly, “and look at the mess I’m in now!”
“I know, I know…” Satoru rubs the back of his head, right where his immaculate undercut is. “Maybe I can explain on the way? Where’s your car?” He looks around the parking lot, his eyes searching.
The question — however mundane — makes you blush with embarrassment. “I… take public transportation…” you mumble, pouting.
He furrows his brow, as if you just admitted to showering with maggot-infested soap. “Excuse me? I don’t take public transportation.”
“Well, I do.” A hint of defiance returns to protect your pride.
How could he possibly understand when he lives like a rich man, without worrying about grocery shopping, paying bills, and of course, taking public transportation during the week to avoid wasting gas because it costs an arm and a leg! But for him, that must not be part of his daily life, especially since he’s one of society’s privileged.
“Let’s take my car then.” He says this without waiting for you, as you remain standing there. He pulls out his keys and opens the passenger door. “What are you waiting for?”
“But— I— Are you out of your mind?” you burst out. “I’m not getting in that car! I’m supposed to pick up my daughter, and now I’m pretending to be your girlfriend! In front of your father!” You emphasize your words with wild, energetic gestures.
He bursts out laughing.
Cute.
“No chance. We’re going to pick up your daughter and clear this all up. And please, stop refusing to get into a car that’s way better than those buses that reek of sweat.” He rolls his eyes, and you note how much he resembles his father when he does that.
“I have an errand to run anyway,” you persist.
“And that doesn’t change the fact that I want you to get in this car,” Satoru chuckles.
Taking a closer look, the car is as luxurious as the ones you dream about at night — yours, by comparison, looks like a junk heap ready for the scrapyard. Reluctantly, you climb in, Satoru’s chivalrous demeanor not going unnoticed as he snickers at your surrender. He quickly gets in, asks for the address of the school, and sets off after starting his car, which smells just as good as he does. You feel like a piece of trash in the middle of this little universe he inhabits.
“My father bugs me every day to find a woman,” Satoru murmurs at first, one hand resting on his thigh, clad in business suit trousers, his eyes fixed on the road over his round sunglasses. “That’s one of the reasons I avoid him.”
“And why involve me?” you snap back.
“Well, to be honest, it was partly impulsive. I met you the other day, and then, in the moment, I just wanted my father to leave me alone.” He has a half-smile that makes you swallow hard, and he gives you a knowing look before returning to a serious expression. “I’m sorry for dragging you into all this.” A pause. “I just hope you’re not married, otherwise—”
“No, I— No.” You close your eyes for a moment, the innocent question burning like a fiery arrow piercing your already aching heart. Did you just hear a sigh of relief? “And your father doesn’t seem to have recognized me since the other day,” you can’t help but point out.
“The mask.” Satoru grips the steering wheel until his knuckles turn white. “He didn’t recognize you because of that. He’s always had a bad memory and poor eyesight.”
“But you recognized me.” You focus on the road’s scenery to avoid confronting his mesmerizing eyes. “I’m not going to wear my mask forever, you know? And I don’t want to keep pretending—”
“Please,” Satoru whispers, placing a hand on yours, sending a shiver down your spine. “Just until he and my family get off my back.”
“I’m sorry, but—”
“How much do you want?” He asks immediately, as if he just remembered something.
“What? No! I don’t want your money!” you protest as quickly as he did. “No, I…” And you groan, sinking into your seat.
Holy shit!
“What have I gotten myself into, seriously…” you moan, crossing your arms over your chest, a grimace distorting your features.
“Please. I know it’s a lot to ask, but I’ll do everything to make it just a minor detail… I’m only asking you to change your name in front of my father when you pass as my girlfriend, wear a mask, and change your hairstyle at work — if we want to avoid suspicion. He won’t suspect a thing, I swear.” He pulls into the school parking lot and parks quietly.
Thoughts bombard your already exhausted mind, and you massage your temples. Why does this have to happen to you and no one else?
Satoru murmurs your name, making you lift your head. “It will only be a few family events, just for appearances, nothing more. I won’t bother you any further.”
You sigh, and the sound of the bell signaling the end of classes rings out. “I need to think about it. Thanks for the ride. Have a nice—”
“Come back. I’ll take you home,” Satoru suggests, pressing the button to unlock your door.
What’s the point of refusing?
You nod, finally getting out of the car to go pick up your daughter, who runs toward you as soon as you reach the gate.
"Mama!" She jumps into your arms.
You return her embrace, heading towards Satoru’s car. “Did you have a good day?”
“So much fun! I made you a drawing!” She’s practically bouncing as you reach the car.
Noticing your daughter’s confused look, you clear your throat. “Uh… A-A friend of mine is giving us a ride home, okay?” She blinks innocently and waits for you to open the car door, which is almost as tall as she is. Hinata gets in as you do, and you cough slightly. “This is Gojo. My friend.”
“Hello, princess.” Satoru turns his head over his shoulder with a big smile. “What’s your name?”
“Hinata,” she replies, her legs gently swinging.
“Very pretty.”
“Thank you.” She blushes and tries to hide a smile.
On the way, you try to fill the awkward silences with small talk until you arrive at the supermarket.
You had promised to buy Hinata a new stuffed animal since last night after spending hours worrying that you weren’t being a good mother. Again.
“That one!” Hinata almost runs towards a bunny plushie that’s twice the size of her head. She grabs it with her little arms and gives it a hug.
Satoru and you reach the aisle, and out of habit, you check the price under the albino’s watchful eye. Your eyes nearly pop out of their sockets when you see the amount, and you place a trembling hand on Hina’s shoulder. “Angel, I think it’s—”
“…Perfect,” Satoru finishes, his large hands taking the plushie from your daughter’s tight embrace to check the price tag with its shocking number. “Do you like it, little one?” he asks, looking down at her.
Hina nods energetically. “Yeah!”
“Then we’ll take it.” Satoru hands the plushie back to her and turns towards the checkout lane, already reaching into one of his pockets for what looks like… a wallet.
You react immediately, your hands finding their way around his arm. He doesn’t push you away at all and even smiles at the contact. “Gojo… No.”
“It’s Satoru to you, sweetheart,” he whispers gently. “And why not? It’s just a stuffed animal,” he scoffs. He takes Hinata’s hand so she can place the plushie on the conveyor belt.
“No, it’s not nothing to me,” you persist through clenched teeth, embarrassed that the cashier might be paying attention to your conversation.
Satoru shrugs. The cashier scans the plushie, and he uses contactless payment to pay for it. With your hands still around his arm, he places one of his on top, an intimate closeness.
“I could get used to this,” he murmurs near your ear, making you turn beet red. But he can’t continue as your daughter clings to Satoru’s leg like a koala, showering him with a thousand thank-yous for the gift. “You’re welcome, little one.” His hand gently ruffles her hair. He grins, now turning back to you. “It’s on me. You don’t owe me anything.”
Your discreet protests, so Hinata doesn’t suspect anything, come to an end when he drops both of you off in front of your home. Hinata commented that Satoru’s car looked like the one from the movie Barbie: Princess Charm School she had seen recently. He unlocks the doors as you get out of the car. Satoru’s hand catches yours, slipping a piece of cardstock into it. His contact details are on it.
“Just in case,” he mouths silently.
Nevertheless, you slip the business card into your pocket and respond just before closing the door, “I accept.”
°°°°
“And no funny business, okay? Never run in the hallways, if he tells you to wait, don’t move an inch, and—” You stop yourself as you notice your daughter is more interested in admiring the elegant decorations of the office hallways with wide, doe-like eyes and an adorable, slightly open mouth.
To your great misfortune, Hinata’s preschool is on strike for a while — which means almost all the teachers are absent. So how do you take care of your daughter when you can’t afford to miss work? By bringing her to your fake boyfriend’s office, of course! You quickly make your way toward Satoru’s office, Hinata following with her hand in yours. But just as you raise your fist to knock on his door, two large hands land on your shoulders, nearly scaring the life out of you.
“Hey, hey!” You whip around abruptly, a new mask on your face — just as the plan intended.
“Satoru…” you grit through your teeth. Hinata looks up at him and grins. You sigh.
“What do I owe the pleasure of all this lovely company?” Satoru asks, not taking his eyes off yours while giving Hinata a high-five.
As usual, he’s dressed in a luxurious suit — probably worth the rent of the apartment you live in — his slightly tousled albino hair and the familiar scent of cologne filling your nostrils. You catch yourself staring a little too long, and mentally kick yourself when his curious gaze turns mischievous.
He just realized you were checking him out, damn it!
“Hinata’s school is on strike. I need you to watch her for the day, if that’s not a problem, and since you seemed so insistent on returning the favor I’m doing for you…” you mumble, avoiding his gaze. “I see you’re spending your day roaming the offices rather than staying in yours…”
“No problem at all,” Satoru replies automatically, a pleased smile on his lips. “Ready to go to the CEO’s office?” He picks up Hina, who giggles and clings to him like a koala.
It’s your turn to smile in relief. “Thank you so much. I have a meeting with your father in an hour, and I’ll come get her at noon and again at the end of the day.” The sight of the two of them close together makes your heart melt — and for once, you don’t blame yourself for seeing Hinata happy to be with someone else.
°°°°
5:00 PM.
You’ve sent a message to Satoru asking where he was, since knocking on his perpetually empty office seems to be pointless. The meeting with the other company members about organizing the launch of a new product was particularly painful, but one thing is certain: the general manager didn’t recognize you with your more subdued hairstyle and the mask plastered on your face.
“Come to the parking lot like last time.”
And that’s the last message from Satoru (you gave him your number during lunch).
In the empty parking lot, only Satoru’s car is present, and you cast a curious glance through the windows. The two troublemakers give you a grimace — tongues sticking out and faces scrunched up. You sigh as the passenger door opens automatically.
“Satoru, you don’t have to—”
“Hina said yes and that she wants to come to my place,” Satoru cuts in with a mocking expression.
Reluctantly, you get in, your heart pounding in your chest with all sorts of panicked thoughts. However, Satoru doesn’t seem to share your reservations and starts driving as soon as you’re settled.
“So, this means you’re coming to my place,” he says, hands on the wheel and a quick glance in the rearview mirror, “and I’m inviting you to dinner.”
“No—”
“Mom! Please, Satoru is being too nice.” Hinata complains. You glance back, and she looks at you with wounded, pleading puppy eyes, arms crossed over her chest.
You grumble, slumping back against your seat as they both cheer in victory.
“By the way, I’m stopping by your place so you can pack. We’re invited to a family wedding, and my father invited us.”
“WHAT?”
°°°°
You place a box with your gift on the designated table for presents, and an arm wraps around your waist. “You look stunning,” Satoru murmurs against your neck, his lips brushing against your skin, which breaks out in goosebumps.
With a flushed face, you turn your head. “Satoru…”
“What? Just because we’re pretending to be a couple and barely know each other doesn’t mean I can’t speak the truth.” He pauses. “Well, actually, we do know each other a bit, don’t we? We’ve had dinner together.” He chuckles at your half-grimacing, half-deadpan expression, pulling you closer as music fills the wedding reception hall.
You turn your head along with him toward the back of the room, where the bride’s bouquet is about to be thrown. A tight smile curves your lips — this is one thing you’ve dreamed of. Dreams have always been just that — dreams in your life, and even when love comes knocking at your door, it’s only passing through, just like your situation with Satoru.
His father didn’t notice anything, and since Satoru lives alone in a villa, it’s hard to say no when he offered for you to stay with him until he’s settled, with your own room and a staff available 24/7. He even had a tailor make a custom dress for the wedding you were both invited to. Hinata is looked after by a lovely nurse, and you’re enjoying a life you’ve always dreamed of. So why not make the most of it despite your past?
A Satoru who’s too comfortable with you isn’t so bothersome given the time you’ve spent together lately — both at the office, acting as a couple in front of certain people, and sometimes showing affection to each other to appear believable, even though they haven’t asked for kisses yet, so—
A fluffy and soft object lands right in the middle of your face and falls into your arms. You search for what seems to be a petal in your mouth and suck in your breath at what you realize it is.
The bride’s bouquet.
A gulp forces its way down your throat as the whole room applauds because… you’ve been hit in the face with the bouquet? Not to mention the lamentations of other female cousins who had jumped with all their hopes to catch it… But why you, who hadn’t asked for anything?
“Sweetheart?” Satoru mutters, his chest still pressed against your back. His tone is so sweet, nonchalant, as if you’ve been a couple for years. “My father is watching us, and I think he’s expecting me to do something.”
You swallow and nod, dreading what might happen next. Will your heart stop beating when Satoru says:
“May I kiss you?”
Never, ever, has anyone asked you that question. Not even your ex.
So, with a nervous nod, you allow him to capture your lips in a soft, languid kiss. His tender lips taste like the cotton candy children eat at the fair. They cherish yours with every movement (which you can’t help but return in kind). Each press sends butterflies fluttering in your stomach.
When the kiss ends, Satoru places one last kiss on the corner of your lips and clears his throat. “This is the first time I’ve wanted to marry my girlfriend.” His warm breath ignites your body.
Has your heart exploded?
If not, why can’t you breathe?
“Awww… How adorable you are with your pretty girlfriend, Satoru!”
An elderly woman approaches you both, supported by her old cane, and you note her albino hair, similar to Satoru’s.
“My dear aunt…” Satoru smiles widely without breaking away from you.
“You make a lovely couple,” Aunt Gojo continues, giving you a wise look.
“Oh, thank you.” You immediately bow and introduce yourself. Satoru’s hands squeeze your waist, and he chuckles at your manners.
“Take good care of her, you idiot,” the aunt finishes before drifting away, a tap of her cane on Satoru’s head making him sigh and rub his sore skull.
“Well, at least we look convincing, right?” he adds.
“Yes…”
Of course, he said that because he saw his aunt before you! Don’t think he said it because he meant it or—
“By the way,” Satoru takes your hand in his and leads you to the center of the dance floor, “I meant what I said before my aunt interrupted us.”
And you’re at a loss on how to interpret his playful wink.
°°°°
“WOW! Hinata, you’re so rich!”
“Is this your dad’s castle?”
Hinata takes Satoru’s hand and faces her friends in his chic living room. “It’s my daddy’s!” She nods proudly and runs off with them toward the games and festivities organized for her birthday. The children run everywhere, scream, and burst into laughter throughout the room. The perfect atmosphere.
It’s exactly what you’ve always dreamed of giving Hina.
“You didn’t have to do this,” you murmur to Satoru, who, despite your comment, shakes his head joyfully.
“I’m glad she likes it,” he replies.
“I wasn’t talking about the party.”
He freezes and turns his head toward you. “Didn’t you tell me you’d never been married?” he dares to whisper, possibly afraid of hurting you.
“That’s true. My ex left after learning I was pregnant with Hinata.” You exhale the breath you’ve been holding, the weight of the secret finally lifted.
Maybe he won’t want to keep pretending to be your boyfriend after this…
“You can still tell me his name, you know, sweetheart?” Satoru moves closer to you, wrapping his arm around your waist, as if it’s completely natural for him, but there’s a tension in his touch. “I can take care of him and—”
You shake your head to dispel the tiny bit of resentment that’s urging you to say yes. “It’s okay. Thanks for agreeing to pretend to be her father. I know it’s going to be a bit of a hassle for a while, but she cares a lot—”
“Nuh-uh.” He places a kiss on your cheek, then another on the side of your neck, causing you to shiver. “She’s already talked about it in my office.”
You open your eyes wide. “What…?”
“Hinata likes you much more than you think… You’ve suffered too much,” His other hand glides over your stomach, and his thumb traces affectionate circles on your waist.
“Thank you,” you breathe, leaning into his touch. And for a moment, the weight on your shoulders completely lifts. “We haven’t had the best birthdays recently, so I’m happy to see Hinata get what she wants.” Your eyes rest on your daughter, dressed as a fairy, waving her glittery wand at one of her friends dressed as a witch. “So, thank you for everything.”
“No need to thank me, sweetheart. But which birthday are you talking about? Yours? When was it?”
Embarrassed, your mouth feels dry. “...A while ago.”
Satoru pulls you tightly against his chest, wrapping his strong arms around you, his nose buried in your hair. “You’re such a strong woman… I can take care of you if you want. You and Hina will live like princesses, and if you want to sleep with her or have your own room, that’s no problem for me.”
“What? No, Satoru, you’re joking…”
“I’m not joking,” he insists, his gaze diving into yours — and for a second, sincerity fills his cerulean eyes.
With your mouth slightly open, you whisper, “We barely know each other, and—”
“Mama! Papa! We need to break the piñata!” Hinata rushes over to you, not paying any attention to how close you are to Satoru, and grabs each of your hands.
“Yes, angel, we’re coming,” you respond to your daughter with a weary smile, before glancing at Satoru, who is no longer looking in your direction.
Why are his ears so red?
°°°°
You place the last birthday decoration box in a corner of the living room as Satoru asked and straighten up with a grimace from your aching back. “Geez…”
The upper floor of the huge house is strangely quiet, and you furrow your brows. Could they have gone downstairs?
“Hinata? Satoru?” you call out as you walk through the hallways.
The evening darkness makes it hard to see clearly, and only the faint beam of light escaping from the kitchen door guides you.
“Are you there?” you ask, gently pushing the door open, and what you find leaves you stunned.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” the two of them exclaim, holding an enormous cake between them.
A few candles illuminate the underside of their beaming faces, party hats perched on their heads. The kitchen is a huge mess, counters covered in flour and frosting, and dishes overflow from the sink, threatening to topple over.
You stand speechless as they continue to sing your birthday song. Your nostrils and eyes start to itch strangely. Why is your vision suddenly blurring? It looks like transparent waves just above your lower lashes, threatening to overflow if you dare to blink. Yet, you can’t escape it.
Not when they set the cake on the table and pull you into a hug while your nose runs, tears roll down your cheeks, and your choked-up throat is on the verge of bursting into sobs. Satoru keeps kissing your hair, never stopping for a second to comfort you with sweet and reassuring words, his hand drawing circles on your back. Hinata wipes your tears while her own roll down her little cheeks.
Seeing you cry has always been contagious for her.
The moment gives you a glimpse of what your life would be like if you had a complete family, and Satoru’s words echo in your mind. How could he be so perfect in just a few weeks of knowing him?
Once the emotion passes, a few minutes later, you eat your birthday cake with laughter and cheer, accompanied not just by the one person who now means everything to you, but by both.
°°°°
“Watch out, Hina. You have applesauce on your chin,” Satoru chuckles, his hand grabbing a napkin to wipe the excess food around the child’s mouth.
The heartwarming scene makes your heart swell. You definitely don’t regret going out with Satoru and Hinata to have a meal at a chic terrace in their company. The family atmosphere finally gives you a glimpse of the life you’ve always hoped to live. Hinata growing up with a loving father and mother, and you, loved and supported by an ideal partner. Why not reconsider Satoru’s proposal, then? He’s the first man to think of you, even after your birthday had passed some time ago.
“I’m going to the restroom,” you murmur to Satoru, who nods in response, a wry smile curling his pink lips.
But why did it have to be on this day that a man finally approaches the two people you care about just as you slip away? He clearly waited from afar for you to let your guard down around your daughter so he could show up right in the middle of the table, facing a little girl — his daughter, technically — next to a man who isn’t her father.
Satoru slowly raises his head toward him, brows furrowed and wary. “Can I help you?”
Your ex says your name. “Where is she?” he mimics asking as if he didn’t know.
“What do you want with her?”
“To talk to her. I have the right. And you’re with my daughter, just so you know.” He crosses his arms over his chest, trying to appear threatening, but Satoru remains stoic, more contemptuous than anything else in the face of such a scruffy, unshaven nuisance.
“She’s not here; you can leave,” Satoru responds. And out of protective instinct, he pulls Hinata’s chair closer to him, his eyes narrowed. Satoru understands perfectly that your ex is back to claim his rights over his daughter, just as he’s been harassing you with messages about it.
“Excuse me? When my daughter is in the arms of a stranger? I could call the police immediately and we’ll sort this out very quickly,” your ex retorts sharply. He takes a step toward a lost Hinata, her big doe eyes blinking innocently between the two men. Of course, she doesn’t recognize him.
An altercation begins between the two, which naturally attracts the attention of other diners around. And you walk into the middle of the scene, frozen in shock at the sight of your ex hurling threats at Satoru.
“She’s taking my daughter, so I’m taking her back! And it’s not a bastard like you who’s going to help her regain my rights!” your ex spits with venom. His icy eyes find yours, terrified, your hands trembling and your complexion as pale as a sheet. He’s about to address you with the same angry speech, his face flushed with rage and a vein ready to burst at his temple.
Do you get déjà vu?
“‘Your daughter’?” Satoru repeats with a deadly gaze and a jaw quivering with rage. “She’s been sitting next to me for over an hour, I’ve been feeding her for over an hour, she’s been calling me by my name for over an hour, and you’re talking about ‘your daughter’? At this point, whose daughter is she... yours or mine?”
Your ex, publicly humiliated, opens his eyes wide with hatred. “You little son of—”
“Sir, we ask that you leave the terrace; you’re disturbing our customers,” a security guard declares firmly. He’s accompanied by another colleague, and when your ex protests, they grab him by the arm and escort him away amidst his shouting and the murmurs of other customers who keep staring at the three of you.
You move closer to Satoru, who immediately stands up upon seeing you — having not realized you were there — and can only offer you an apologetic look. “Let’s go,” you silently mouth (your throat too tight to dare let a sound escape, fearing it might break before you say anything), taking the hand of a silent and lost Hinata. “I’ll pay the bill and—”
“It’s already taken care of; we can go,” Satoru gently interrupts, following you to his car.
And it’s on the silent drive back that you realize something.
You’ve officially fallen in love with Satoru Gojo.
°°°°
“Look, Mom, Dad and I made a drawing for you!” Hinata proudly holds up a colorful picture with three easily recognizable characters on it.
“Did you brush your teeth?” you ask as you take the drawing to admire it, just as much smiling as your daughter. She nods and then does a little twirl to show off her new pajamas that Satoru gave her earlier in the day. “It’s beautiful. You’re so talented,” you chuckle, leaning in to plant a kiss on her cheek.
Satoru appears in the doorway of Hinata’s room, leaning against the frame with his arms crossed over his chest, a perpetual playful smile curving his lips. “Ready to go to sleep?”
“Yes, and I showed our drawing to mama,” Hinata asserts, bouncing on her bed.
“Oh yeah? Did mama like it?” Satoru asks softly, his eyes now locked with yours.
“Mama loved it and thanks Daddy,” you whisper, your voice quivering with emotion that threatens to spill over.
Half an hour later, Satoru and you find yourselves in the hallway with a sleeping Hinata and her little lullaby snores.
Satoru wraps his arm around your waist as usual and buries his face in your neck. Your heart is already racing, and your breath catches when he says, “I’m sorry.”
“Why?” The embrace is a simple hug but with unspoken words easily guessed.
“For everything.” Satoru sighs, and for a split second, you hope he’ll let you speak, but no. “I didn’t mean to make a scene and—”
“And you think I’m going to blame you for protecting us? That I wasn’t touched by what you said about Hina?” you mumble near his ear. The closeness gives you another chance to see his ears turn red. “Is Satoru shy?” you giggle, open to teasing. He hums, hiding his face so you don’t see his expression.
“I love you.”
You blink, because you must have heard wrong. “Huh?”
“Marry me.” And he’s already on his knees before you, eyes pleading. That usually confident cerulean blue is now so submissive, so close at hand… But the sudden turn of events leaves you stunned. “I want to be your husband, not just have you as my wife. I want to raise Hina with you and give you everything you need.” Not letting himself be distracted by your stunned expression, he continues, “Want my money? I’ll give it to you. My house? It will be in your name. Want my body? It belongs to you. My heart? It’s already yours.” And he starts kissing the backs of your hands desperately. “I love you, I love you… Please, marry me…”
“Satoru… You—” you stammer, backing away, your brow furrowed. Everything is a jumble in your head, both from his touching declaration but also because it’s all moving too fast for you. “You… love me?” you manage to whisper.
He crawls to you and wraps his large arms around your thighs, almost choking with desperation. “I fell in love with you as soon as I saw you, as soon as you covered me from my father, as soon as I heard your laugh, saw the amazing mother you are, and realized I never wanted you to leave this house.” He whispers your name like a divine invocation. “I’ve fallen in love with you more than just once.”
You don’t immediately respond, and that’s okay in his eyes. He doesn’t want to pressure you, just for you to know the truth and for him to be completely transparent with you.
“It’s okay if you don’t share my feelings; I just want you to know that—” But he’s cut off by your rush toward him on the floor as you press your lips to his, pulling him into the dance of your lips that one gives to the other in a long, passionate kiss. “God… I love you so much…”
“I love you too, Satoru,” you murmur against his mouth between kisses that turn into moans as he slides his warm, wet tongue between your lips to request access to your mouth.
Both of your breaths become ragged and heavy. Satoru takes the opportunity to lift you by the underside of your thighs and lead you to his bedroom, carefully closing the door behind him without breaking the contact of your swollen, desirous lips. He gently lays you on the king-size bed with silver satin and frost-blue sheets.
With a tenderness of loving slowness, Satoru breaks the kiss. “Do you want to continue?” he asks, his voice husky. You nod timidly, but he shakes his head with his mischievous smile — finally back. “Nuh-uh. Your words, sweetheart.”
“I want it, Satoru,” you reply after a sigh of exasperation so adorable in his eyes that it makes him laugh, then he places a light kiss on the corner of your lips.
“Alright… Gonna take care of my beautiful girl, the best, the most wonderful mother, and maybe future wife—” He places a finger on your lips. “Oh no, you’ll answer that later if you want, when I have something concrete for that occasion.”
You sigh in frustration because the answer is already on the tip of your tongue, but it soon turns into a moan as he kisses the side of your neck with such deliberate slowness that you really wonder if he’s going to tease you to the limit. His hands roam over your clothed chest, exploring your already hardened nipples. His lips find their way to your collarbone, marking it with love bites and hickeys that elicit muffled moans from you.
“If you knew how long I’ve dreamed of doing this…” Satoru comments with a touch of affection, his fingers deftly undoing the buttons of your shirt. “Exactly how I would act with my wife—”
“And your father?” And he chuckles again.
“We don’t care about him.” He casually tosses your top aside to tease your sensitive, erect nipples through the fabric with his thumbs. “Such humble underwear… Would you like me to buy you something more daring?” he purrs, pulling on a strap to snap it against your gooseflesh-covered skin.
“Would you do that?” You bring your lips to his, and he immediately responds to the kiss. You also remove his black turtleneck sweater to reveal his toned, muscular torso. An adventurous hand glides over his chest, making him groan slightly, and then stops at his lower abdomen where a vein runs lower down. You place a kiss there with a small, sly smile.
For the first time, you’re about to make love with someone.
“Hmm? Satoru? Have you ever thought of me in outfits like this?” Your nimble fingers unbutton his pants, revealing a prominent bulge in his fly.
“Sweetheart, don’t—” he hisses between his teeth from the sensation of the slight friction between his erection and your eager fingers as they pull down his pants to caress and rub his dick through the thin fabric of his boxer. “Your hands feel so good…” He breathes softly, his hands stroking your bare arms with a feather-light touch.
“Answer my question…” you purr, your nails pulling at the underwear to free his hard, twitching cock. The tip is perfectly reddened, with veins coursing along its pale length of 8 inches. Almost automatically, your mouth waters, and you waste no time kissing the slit of his already glistening tip with pre.
“Babe, don’t tease…” Satoru closes his eyes and lets your hand wrap around his length, begging to be touched. “F-fuck— Yes, yes, I’ve thought about it, about buying you the most expensive and luxurious lingerie— ah!” he almost whimpers. You take a little over 2 inches of him into your mouth to stroke the base. “But also in those maternity clothes— oh god… C-can you really blame me?” He rolls his eyes and can’t help but buck his hips toward you, his body pleading for your mouth to take care of him.
You withdraw his cock from your mouth to whisper, “So you’re a naughty boy, hmm?”
“I won’t last if you keep this up— hgnn…” he whimpers completely, his dick splitting your mouth in two as you take him all in. Your head starts to bob back and forth, and he is so close that he spills moans of your name. “G’nna cum, baby, don’t—”
You hollow your cheeks, and the next moment, he cums in your mouth, long, thick ropes of his release filling your already full mouth with his shaft. You hum under his orgasm and swallow slowly. You slide his dick out of your mouth with the same rhythm to smile at a Satoru with ears as red as his cheeks.
“F-fuck, sweetheart,” he pants, his calloused finger wiping away the mixed cord of your saliva and his cum with a swipe of his thumb.
“M-hmm… You taste so sweet…” He doesn’t let you continue and crushes his lips against yours, tasting himself on your mouth. “I want you, Satoru…”
“I’m yours, princess.” He helps you quickly remove your remaining underwear so that you’re completely naked in front of him, knees resting on the expensive mattress. He kneels at the foot of the bed, and his fingers explore your sensitive, already dripping cunt.
“So wet for me… Did I do this to you just with my cock?” His fingers spread your swollen folds to gather your fluids and rub your throbbing, needy clit.
Your nails dig into his arm as you lift your hips under the sharp pleasure. “Satoru, it feels good…” you gasp in a whimper. His forefinger and middle finger spread your wetness all around your intimacy. “Please don’t tease…”
“Not tease? Weren’t you doing it, sweetheart? What a nerve,” Satoru scoffs, tapping his finger at your entrance. “Can I?”
“Please…” You wince as you move your hips down for more. And that’s exactly what he does, immediately inserting his finger into you, cursing.
“You’re so fucking tight… and so wet,” he curses, his finger moving in and out of you with careful softness. “I can already fuck you without making you cum first.” He stops finger-fucking you and looks up at you. “Is that what you want, love?”
You nod before arching your back on the bed. Satoru climbs onto the mattress and helps you wrap your legs around him. “That’s it…” He takes his length in his hand and teases your responsive cunt with the tip to get it wetter.
“Don’t tease, Toru, I swear…” And he smirks.
“Toru?”
“Sorry, I—”
His tip presses against your tight, pulsing entrance, and he grins. “I want you to moan that nickname while I fuck you, ’kay?” He grips your hips to pull you closer to him, and with one swift movement, he slides into you, a groan escaping from behind his lips as your deliciously tight, warm, gummy walls wrap around him as if you were meant for him.
The stretch causes a slight discomfort at first, and you almost cry in relief when Satoru notices. He patiently waits for you to adjust before starting a slow, deep rhythm inside you.
You widen your lustful eyes, tears forming at their corners. “Ah! Toru… Jus’ like that…” Your eyes roll back as the tip of Satoru’s dick hits the back of your cervix, making you shiver and tighten around him. “Fuck… s’deep…”
“So fucking perfect, so fucking mine,” Satoru groans, his hips rocking into you without ceasing to swell between your gummy walls. His chest rises and falls in a breath as ragged as yours, asking for more every time you moan for him to go deeper. (He discreetly rolls his eyes and babbles incomprehensible words — completely pussy drunk.)
And that’s exactly what he does. He slams back in brutally, making you cry out his name with each thrust. “Shhh… You don’t want Hina to hear us, right? So keep quiet, baby…” He helps stifle your gasps and moans of pleasure by capturing your lips with his, alternating between fast, rough thrusts and slow, gentle ones in your hole that he fucks shamelessly.
Blood rushes to your ears, a rare sensation you haven’t truly felt the last time you were with someone. It wasn’t just about carnal pleasure between Satoru and you — but about love. The fusion of bodies loving each other and providing mutual pleasure, even as they burn for each other— physically and emotionally.
One of Satoru’s hands slowly slides to one of your breasts and teases a sensitive nipple. The arch in your back encourages him to detach his mouth from yours to capture the other nipple with his wet lips. The growl he lets out sends a wave of intense shivers through you, making your eyes roll in overstimulation.
“P-please, Toru, please, I’m already close,” you whimper against your trembling palm — a feeble attempt to contain your sweet sounds as he speeds up his hip movements in your sloppy cunt — the sound of his balls slapping your skin filling the room. Your words are punctuated by the tightening of your walls around him, swearing he could cum inside you just from hearing you beg.
“Cum on my cock, baby, cover it,” he coos, giving another kiss to your abused chest. The clenching of your jaw with your teeth dug into your lower lip forces you to groan. “Want me to fill you up?” And you nod, tears showing your imminent orgasm. “Anything for you, my beautiful girl.” His hips slam against yours, and his fingers continue to tease your breast, rubbing your puffy clit.
Satoru’s own breath becomes heavier, more labored as he keeps singing praises while you gasp, his lips pressed along the line of kisses he’s placing down your jaw. “T-Toru, Toru, cumming!” you cry out as your walls spasm around his cock while he reaches his peak and fills you with his hot, liquid release, warming your lower abdomen. You see blinding stars illuminating your vision.
He hisses almost gutturally, his nails digging into the flesh of your hips. “Oh god… S-Squeezing me while I’m cumming too…” He closes his eyes for a moment, letting his peak subside at the same rhythm as yours, his forehead damp with sweat resting against your chest.
Only pants and groans escape your lips, each one accompanied by difficult swallows and the feeling of your sweaty bodies pressed against each other.
“How was it? Did I make you feel good?” Satoru asks immediately, once his breath has returned.
The concerned questions touch your heart so deeply that you lift tearful eyes to him. “Are you going to leave, after this?”
His expression falters, and he gently withdraws from you to envelop you in his embrace. “No, baby, of course not… I won’t, I swear on my life I won’t leave you… I’m not him. I’m the one who hopes you won’t leave…” he whispers hurriedly. “Don’t think about that. I’ll always be here, for you and for Hina…”
You sniffle, your eyes red. But Satoru smiles tenderly, wiping away your hot tears. “Save your tears for later, sweetheart.”
“Why?” You clear your throat.
He sighs, the aftermath of the effort from the activity settling on him, and places a chaste kiss on your sweaty temple. “Did I tell you that my father invited us to dinner tomorrow night?”
“No,” you shake your head, “but what’s the link?”
“Don’t you understand?” he murmurs in your ear, butterflies fluttering in your stomach. “It doesn’t matter. You’ll understand in time.”
°°°°
“I see. So it was an unexpected encounter.” Gojo’s father nods, shrugging his shoulders. “But I wonder how a woman like you can have feelings for such a fool…”
Satoru chokes on a piece of meat he’s chewing and takes a sip of his water. You stifle a giggle, with some steamed vegetables speared on your fork, just waiting for you to devour them. For a man who appears so stern and strict, Mr. Gojo is quite a wealthy man who spends his days reprimanding his son for not doing this or that.
Yet, there’s a certain paternal camaraderie between them — a father-son relationship, if you will.
“That’s not true,” Satoru retorts, his voice still gravelly. He has an adorable pout on his lips, like a child wrongly scolded.
“Yes, like you’re not a womanizer,” his father retorts, rolling his eyes.
“It was so you’d leave me alone,” with furrowed brows, he wears a mischievous smile at his father’s incredulous expression, “but sweetheart came into my life,” he continues, looking at you with a tenderness he has rarely shown.
“I hope you manage to put up with him until… well, until you decide to marry — if that’s what you choose,” his father sighs, turning his attention back to the dish in front of him.
“Satoru isn’t a bad person, you know,” you start gently. “He is certainly a thoughtless brat with grotesque immaturity,” Satoru almost spits out his water this time, and you continue with a wry smile, “but he has a great sense of attention and unmatched generosity. I believe he will be a good husband, I assure you.”
“I must admit,” he says with a wise smile, his wrinkles less pronounced.
Satoru casually says your name, “Yeah, yeah… By the way, could you pass me the salt, please?”
You freeze, while Satoru’s father suddenly looks up with an incredulous expression. “Who?”
And you smack your forehead with the palm of your hand.
°°°°
The cries of a newborn fill the room as, breathless and on the verge of fainting, the midwives congratulate you, bringing your second child wrapped in clean blankets at your request.
“He’s beautiful…” Satoru murmurs as he approaches you, leaning down to the tiny baby with his albino hair and blue eyes — his exact likeness. “Thank you, my love, thank you, thank you, thank you…” His voice breaks as you raise a weak, exhausted hand toward him, but with a serene smile on your lips as you whisper how much you love each other.
He immediately wraps his fingers around yours, your wedding rings sparkling as they brush together like stars sealed for eternity.

Incident Report
-
At 7pm, a curtain 400 meters in length appeared over the city of Shibuya, Tokyo. Before the curtain sealed, an unknown figure entered Shibuya and ran into the subway station. For the remainder of the incident that took place in Shibuya, This figure was never caught by another camera or human being again.
-
Sula Gojo was not a violent person in nature. Unlike her partner, Satoru, who's cursed technique of Infinity as well as him being the wielder of the six eyes and limitless technique, made him terrifying to fight against and he carried the power within him with pride.
she did not enjoy a fight. She didn't enjoy watching fights either. So when she told her team she wanted to join them in shibuya, they were shocked. However, despite them telling her she didn't have to do this, they all collectively knew if gojo was going she was going.
Shibuya was silent. A silence like nothing before. Sula could hear only the teams footsteps and a faint wind steadily blowing around the city. As they walked through the square, they stopped suddenly in the crosswalk. Megumi stood beside her on the left and Yuji on her right as they observed a curse crawling down the subway stairs.
Gojo pushed himself between Megumi and Sula. Grabbing his wife's hand, he turns his head to look at her.
"This is where I'm supposed to leave you"
Sula swiftly turned her head with fear. "You don't mean that right?" Her mouth fell agape as tears swelled in her eyes.
Gojo tightened his grip on her hand. "Don't be afraid, you know I'll come back for you".
For the first time in his life, Satoru gojo knew he shouldn't smile but for the sake of his wife, he did. He knew she wanted, no, needed to see it if maybe for the last time.
The plum hue of the Tokyo sky colored shibuya dark purple, a solemn color for a solemn moment. Suddenly Sula had remembered when she lost Suguru, and would not dare lose satoru too.
"You aren't actually leaving me right?!"
Gojos silence was deathly, Sula fell to her knees as she sobbed at the ground. Gojo couldn't bring himself to kneel with her.
Her mouth was still hung open in shock. As tears streamed down her face, Megumi stepped in to kneel beside the distraught woman. Distraught. Upset. In deep anguish. Anything could have been used.
"You will still have us" he didn't smile but he spoke with one "This was always the plan Sula-Sama"
He felt empathetic but once he saw His sensei's face he knew it wasn't his place to go anymore. "We need to move Itadori. There are curses in the Subway tunnels according to Nanamin, he's waiting for us by exit 3"
Yuji nodded sadly. He was eager to fight when they arrived but after seeing the emotion in his two senseis faces, he couldn't feel anything but crippling fear for how this could end for them all.
He leant down to Sula. "We will keep you safe, I promise". Thankfully, yuji could hold a smile on his face.
Yuji stood up beside Megumi as did Sula, who immediately faced her husband, he had his blindfold on still, meaning the emotion she had hoped to see on his blue eyes had failed to show.
"Please don't leave me" she begged him. "Please Satoru, stay" sula clutched satoru's black jacket tightly hoping he wouldn't be able to move.
Gojo put his slender, pale hand on the back of his wife's head and with his other, removed his black blindfold to reveal his glossy and oceanic eyes. If he had been crying under it, he kept it hidden well.
"I can't" Gojo kissed her forehead with tear stained lips and gave her the black fabric with a trembling hand "I don't want to leave you but you know I have to"
He let go of her and turned to Megumi and Yuji. "Itadori-Kun, Fushiguro-Kun. Take care of my wife"
The students nodded. With one final trembling move, Gojo kissed Sula and walked away. The Wife began to cry loudly, her loud and painful sobs rattling the veil.
Gojo walked into one of the buildings and Sula stayed with Megumi and Yuji. He was gone for now. But She couldn't shake the feeling her beloved Satoru Gojo wouldn't return for a long time.
-
8pm: Sula Gojo, Megumi Fushiguro and Yuji Itadori enter Shibuya underground metro.
-
By now it had been an hour since gojo left. Still coming to a calmer state, Sula had taken the position of investigating the dead curses in the Subway. A medium sized lump of a red fleshy substance slumped against the white tiled wall was their first one to look into.
"Rather unappealing aren't they?" Yuji frowned in Disgust.
"They weren't made to be pretty I tell you that" Sula replied as she leant down beside the fleshy curse and poked it gently.
It was completely dead. Hadn't been dead for long however, it was likely killed just as the three of them entered the subway.
"It's been dead only a short time"
Obviously, Megumi had had the same observations.
"That's what I was thinking," sula replied.
Sula stood up with a quiet groan and looked around the place. No other blood marks or any signs of battle were evident. It was entirely spotless, pure white. Except for this one spot.
The dead red mass. A figment of a violent rage.
"We should keep moving" Yuji announced "Nanamin is still waiting for us and we have a long way to walk yet"
Sula and Megumi nodded and the three walked out of exit 9.
-
By the time the three reached exit 7 it was nearing dark. Gojo had been gone for close to 3 hours now and Sula was really starting to worry, so was yuji. The pink haired student kept looking behind him every half an hour to see if the 'curses were behind him' but Sula and even Megumi knew he was looking for Gojo.
The three reached Nanami Kento by 10pm. And that was when Sula had begun to lose it. Of course seeing nanami made her extremely happy, seeing an old friend made the situation just the littlest bit more bright. But gojo still wasn't with her.
"You finally made it" Nanami spoke.
"It would seem like it. It's good to see you Kento, how long have you been in here?"
Nanami shrugged which said everything it needed to. Yuji took a step forward. "You said you needed to meet with us"
"I did. I also needed Gojo-San, is he not with you?" Nanami looked around for a moment and then brought his head back down. "I see he is not close by"
"He split from us at the veil" Megumi spoke.
Nanami inhaled sharply. "Hes already split from you?!"
He was shocked. Sula hadn't seen him so shocked since they were in school. "You look and sound surprised" she noted.
Nanami cleared his throat and fixed his glasses by pushing the middle with his finger. "Yes, well, he wasn't supposed to leave you, Sula-San. Not yet anyways"
Sula furrowed her brows. He wasn't supposed to leave? If he wasn't meant to then where did he go?.
"Where has he gone?" She asked
Nanami shook his head "I do not know, he didn't specify any details. Which brings me to my next concern, do you know why you are actually here?"
"She asked to come with us Nanamin" Yuji entered.
"I am aware itadori-Kun. But that's not why your here" Nanami looked at her "You couldn't say no to him could you?"
By now, yuji and Megumi escpecially were confused. They watched as the two adult sorcerers spoke. Mostly about things they didn't really understand, however they were now both confused as to why gojo had left them if he wasn't supposed to. And why he told them the wrong plan.
"Couldn't Say no to who? Satoru?" Sula questioned.
"Yes" nanami replied quickly.
"I usually don't" sula shrugged "but I don't see how this is relevant, satoru told these two that this was all the plan"
Sula looked at the boys and they were just as confused as she was. "It's true Nanamin, Gojo-Sensei told us that once we entered the veil he would leave us"
Nanami looked at Megumi as he spoke. "Gojo-Sama was only supposed to leave you all when Ryōmen Sukuna awoke"
Yuji gulped. Awoke?!...
"Why would he do that? Isn't he what Sukuna wants?" Yujis voice was shaky, as the vessel for the King of Curses he felt at fault for whatever could come next.
"Because you aren't the only vessel Itadori-Kun"

Part two
-
Incident Report
-
At 11pm, an unknown special grade sorcerer arrived in shibuya looking for Satoru Gojo. This unknown sorcerer entered a building on the right hand side as he entered the veil. He didn't return out.
-
Sula tilted her head. "Not the only vessel?" She questioned.
Yuji was terrified. There were other vessels? It worried him to know others were going through what he was but it was oddly comforting top, to know he wasn't alone.
Of course not all of them had THE King of Curses Ryōmen Sukuna possessing them.
"Who's the other vessel? Is it another curse possessing them?" Megumi asked.
Nanami sighed. "I don't know a lot about it yet. Gojo-Sama knows it all. Hence why I hoped he had stayed with you"
Sula hummed in agreement. "Me too", she said quietly.
"We need to know who this other vessel is, what could it be hiding" Yuji was talking half to himself and half to everyone else.
And also partly to sukuna by extension. Cogs began to work in Sula's brain..
"Gojo-Sensei mentioned there was a potential second vessel, however he ruled it out as only a theory. He said not to dwell on it as it was likely not true" Megumi said as he scratched his neck.
Sula held her chin. "Not true?" She said "that might be the first time I've heard Satoru question that something that he said wasn't right" sula chuckled softly.
"Let's keep moving. We are bound to find Gojo-Sama somewhere on the surface" Nanami spoke
As the 4 walked, Sula couldn't and wouldn't shake the feeling that the other vessel was right under their noses. Could it be Megumi? Or Nanami? Or even gojo himself. That sounded impossible as very little spirits came close to satoru and even fewer managed to hurt him.
But she went over every detail anyways.
-
Gojo Satoru had found, what should have been Suguru Geto just in time. His once bestest friend consumed by spite and vengeance, he wasn't himself. The scar on his forehead resembled stitches. Although he looked like Geto, Satoru Gojo knew better than to assume anything before looking into his soul.
"Still the same powerful satoru you were all those years ago" Suguru, or, Kenjaku said in an almost taunting way. His smile like sunshine.
Satoru, tied up, grunted with a scowl. "You do not get to say that!"
"I know you don't see me as Suguru Geto, and I may not be. But I am still your wife's brother let's not forget satoru, we will always be connected. Even now in this new body i still have that bond with you" Geto waved a finger teasingly.
"Bond?!" Gojo thought "pfft. Not with this monster"
Gojo swore once he was free from these confines he would destroy Kenjaku. Burn his world to ashes. But Suguru was still in there.
And in doing that he would burn himself.
"Is she here with you Satoru?" He questioned
"No!" Gojo grunted again. "And if she was you'd have to kill me to reach her. And you won't do that"
Geto smiled. "Your right, I won't. I can seal you instead though"
And just like that the confines that held gojo began to retract and form a small cube of brown fleshy material covered in eyes. Soon the brown turned silver and the eyes turned blue before it fell to the floor.
Satorus power had overthrown it. But it didn't matter now. Because he was sealed. and now nothing could stop Geto from moving forward with his plan.
And sula gojo would never know how her husband disappeared. And that made kenjaku smile.
-
Sula gojo, or back then, Sula Geto ,met Satoru Gojo when she was 22 at Jujutsu tech. He was best friends with her brother Suguru, They didn't make her life easy. Not that they were bullies or mean, but they were strong, and as the strongest sorcerers in the school, even the teachers were afraid of them. it made her realise she would never surpass them no matter how much she tried.
So she let it go. She worked to her own desired level and let her new friend and her brother help her along the way. After 2 or so years, they had all become close. With the introduction of Shoko ieri, they all quickly became tightly knit, and it made suguru and sula closer as siblings, and it was nice to have another female in the group.
But when suguru started falling apart from them, it was Satoru who had noticed first, although he didn't say anything until he felt the need. Sula back then didn't see it, she wished she had. To this day she beat herself up over it.
So did satoru, but he didnt admit it loudly.
-
When the four of them, Nanami, Megumi, yuji and Sula, had reached the edge of the veil once again they knew they were just going in circles. Megumi looked around for anything potentially different but he saw no such thing.
"That's the building Gojo-Sensei went into" Yuji pointed.
"I don't think it wise to hunt gojo-sama down so soon" Nanami spoke. Sula raised her brow.
"Why not? He could be in there still!" She exclaimed.
"I wish he had told you everything" Nanami looked at the ground "because I can't. I can only lead you to where you need to be"
Yuji scratched his head "ehhh, that wouldn't be in the ominous black building covered symbols would it?" He bared his teeth nervously.
Nanami nodded "That's exactly where we're going"
"EH?!" Yujis mouth fell open
"What's in there?" Megumi asked.
"What I can only hope you don't kill me for"
The silence fell. Nanamis words were sinister in tone but also empathetic. Like he knew something was going to happen once we entered inside.
"What are you hiding from us Kento?! Why aren't you telling us anymore about the vessel? Or why I'm here?!" Sula interrogated him harshly, she just wanted answers.
Nanami remained calm. "All I can say is, if you thought Gojo-Sama leaving you was horrible, I truly do pray for you"
And that was the last thing Nanami said for the next 3 hours. The panic set in quickly, yuji was shaking and megumi although hiding it well, was also quite scared. And Sula was beyond afraid, she had reached a level of fear that felt crippling.
There was thankfully no sign of sukuna emerging from yuji anytime soon, but yuji still says things to himself like sukuna is trying to make small talk. Yuji says that when sukuna tries to talk to him he asks for control over his body, which worried Nanami most of all.
"So what's here?" Megumi asked as they reached the second level of the building.
"That" Nanami pointed to a shrine.
It was well lit by red waxed candles and decorated with various flowers and small amulets, pristine symbols were painted in black paint all around it.
"A shrine huh?" Sula fixed Her sleeve and strode toward it, the red candles were enchanting to look at closer up.
"Why is this here though? Surely no one had time to build it when they were evacuating everyone" Megumi looked at Nanami who was equally as confused as Fushiguro.
"They didnt" yuji noted "the shrine was built way before they evacuated shibuya. It looks quite old in fact"
Yuji was right. The shrine was made of red wood, it was chipped and splintering. But who was it a shrine to? There were no pictures of anyone, only the symbols. Other than that there was nothing.
"A shrine to sukuna perhaps?" Megumi thought.
"I don't think so" Nanami said "I think it's dedicated to Kaitori Ryōmen"
Kaitori Ryōmen?! Who the hell is that? Sula, megumi and yuji all let their mouths fall open in shock.
"Who?" Yuji asked
"Kaitori Ryōmen is the Queen of Curses, she existed a long long time ago alongside sukuna himself. She died in a fire during the attack on the Ryōmen clan." Nanami said.
"Sukunas wife..." Sula began to connect the dots one by one.
"So if there's a shrine to Sukunas wife here in shibuya does that mean sukuna himself will come out to find her?" Sula asked anxiously.
"Maybe a fan of the Queen? A dedicated follower praying for her" Megumi added
"Actually..." Yuji says.
Suddenly everyone turnt to face the pink haired student. In the literal blink of an eye, sharp black tattoos began to form on yujis face, and his eyes bled Into red.
Everyone stopped, Megumi and nanami clenched their fists and Sula stayed quiet, not moving an inch.
"You were all so quick to make assumptions" sukuna laughed maniacally.
Sukuna. It was sukuna who spoke now. From the body of the beloved yuji itadori came a deep and ominous voice belonging to the King of Curses.
"What do you want?" Sula scowled.
"Oh"
Sukuna looked around smirking darkly. He looked at nanami, looked at megumi and then at sula who's face was filled with fear. Sukunas face however was wholly terrifying, he bared his teeth in an ominous manner.
"I'm here for you"
Slowly updating the story as it goes. I recommend a reread or just wait until it is done :)

[03:10] gojou satoru is a loving stranger
warnings light angst, reader and gojo are broken up
other timestamps
taking a deep breath, you recognise the man before you and everything comes rushing back; the memories, the jokes, the dates, all down to the last moment until you had broken up. yet that tingly feeling in your chest no longer lingered as it had done so in the past, but rather a sense of relief rested carefully against your lungs and you smile.
"...satoru." his ears perk up at the familar notes of your voice, and it's almost as if he's met you all over again. the memories flood back to him, euphoria flowing through his veins as he examines your features and how you've changed.
"y/n."
"it's been a while right?" soft spoken and gentle, nothing like how you were before; loud and outgoing, ready to hand over your opinion against someone who you thought was wrong.
"yeah, six or seven years. you look great." tapping his foot awkwardly, he's unsure as to how to fulfill the conversation, maybe it was because it had been so long, and seeing you now looked like it was the last time you would ever interact.
"thank you, uh you haven't aged since college." a new wrinkle line has formed beneath your nose, and above your lips; maybe an indication that you've been happier these days. your eyes are more genuine, and there's more life shining through it compared to the stress inducing days of your young adulthood.
maybe five years with each other wasn't enough, because satoru couldn't seem to recognise the person before him. you were so mature now, your fashion was so much more trim instead of the surplus oversized hoodies and basketball shorts that you'd sport in the light of day. there was a cup of black coffee in your hands too, a beverage you'd told him so many times you despised because of the overbearing scent and the bitter flavour. even your hair was longer, with your roots a different colour to the tips. the silence between you two was perplexing, since the mood was always bright or cacophonous, but in a sense that there were two people in their youth simply basking in the events of romance before adulthood would come whisking them away.
seven years away from satoru had most definitely transformed you, from a vociferous 20 something year old coming home at the crack of dawn with their partner after a night out to an adult in their early 30s, wondering when work is over so they have time to take a nap at home and possibly slip in the time to watch some tv. the priorities you had once fixed for yourself had changed once you and satoru had broken up, and you were more in order, administrative. seven years ago, you would've loathed the person you became, you would've mocked this new person, with satoru alongside you probably fiddling with your hair. but now you remember how immature you were seven years ago, and that this change was good for you, and that silence can be comforting rather than awkward.
"so what are you doing here, i thought you hated libraries?" as excruciatingly pesky satoru had found small talk, it seemed there was no other method to communicate with you.
"ah, i'm here to meet a friend. but i could say the same about you, what are you doing here?"
"oh, just finding some books to recommend to my students." he holds up a philosophy book, by some german philosopher whose name you couldn't pronounce.
"you used to hate students."
"and you used to hate the library."
you both chuckle internally, and before you head in different directions, you quickly turn around and say:
"sato- gojou san?" the sudden realisation that you hadn't seen him in years had taken away your rights to address him by his first name.
"yeah?" his stare is unfamiliar, like he's looking at a stranger, someone he was never on an emotional journey with, someone who never helped him grow.
"it was nice seeing you." 26 muscles and your lips are pulled to an angle that used to bring joy into satoru's life, but are now only given for courtesy.
"yeah, it was nice seeing you too."
a/n: there's nothing special ab this, i think i just wanted to show how two people who used to adore the existence of one another can turn into old strangers that you would seldom speak to
yikes…but also i love angst this is amazing ily
SOMETHING STUPID. gojo satoru
“i love you.”
he really needed you to understand what that meant but somehow the beam he got in result told him you were simply unaware of the true meaning of his words.
“awww i love you too goj—”
“no…” his voice turned deeper, the stern tone causing your brows to crease. “i fucking love you.”
all gojo got in response from you were multiple blinks while he felt the air between your bodies thicken. he tried to edge closer, a heavy ball dropping in his core as you stepped back.
“w-what are you talking about ?”
he despised the dumbness in your tone.
“what else do you think ?”
there was no way, but the mere glint in his eyes told you everything and it hit you like a brick; hands starting to shake as you dug your fingers in your side.
“you don’t mean it.”
how dare you ? gojo could only frown before clenching his jaw, lids screwing shut while he swallowed the big lump in his throat.
“o-of course i do.” his voice turning weak. “i just can’t let you go ahe—’’
“why the fuck are you doing this now ?” you shouted louder than expected; voice breaking as the image of the small flinch from gojo stayed imprinted on your mind — an image you were certain would stick in your brain and haunt you.
“y-you can’t… be serious.” you had to turn yourself away from him, eyes beginning to sting as your lips quivered. “i-it’s…” gulping down hard, “it’s my fucking wedding day !”
what was supposed to be a meaningful, memorable moment between you and your best friend before you walked down the aisle had turned into a devastating scene that you had never once contemplated.
“i…i know, but—’’ he sounded incredibly desperate; his hand reaching out to lightly touch you but the weight of his fingers on your shoulder suddenly seemed distasteful as you shrugged him off.
why were you treating him like this ?
“no gojo !”
it was frustratingly painful to face the sorrowful expression he had but deep down you both knew everything was ruined.
“you- you’ve- s-poiled it all…” your shaky words stung gojo as the realisation of everything began to sink in — tears becoming unstoppable and dripping down your face.
he hesitated but he couldn’t stand and watch, moving closer as you gave up from trying to stop him laying a hand on you and mind turning fuzzy as he embraced you.
the words that left that your mouth next were barely plausible but it seemed you were adamant on trying to make yourself believe it.
“i hate you.” it could hardly be heard but thinking about the situation more and more suddenly had you feeling a new rush of passion as you began to repeat it and get louder each time; shaping your hands into fists and thumping them against his chest.
gojo could only hold you tighter, letting his tears fall as he took all your hits.
“i’m sorry...” the small whisper forced your hands to slowly come to a halt, looking up at him with blurry vision and wincing as he carried on. “i-i’m sorry for loving you.”

oh this hurts
day 9283 of waiting for a drabble of reader dying and satoru is trying to bake treats that they used to make and breaking down when he just can't get it right i've been craving satoru angst sm
— angst (no comfort <3 ), character death (reader), satoru x reader (established rs), kinda proofread
satoru’s bottom lip trembles as he stares at the half-eaten cookie in his hand. too fucking salty, he thinks. first it was too much baking powder, then too much flour. somehow he burned the bottoms but not the top. now they’re too bitter. he has to spit it out in the trash and satoru glances at the salt and sugar right next to each other amongst the mess he’s made on the counter.
he slams the cookie down, spraying out crumbs to scatter onto the floor, and satoru heaves a large sigh as he leans against the wall. baking is hard, he’s never been a good cook. that was your expertise. he loved to come home to new pastries and desserts you were excited to show him, shoving brownies and cookies and tarts between his lips as soon as he was settled after work.
to say he misses you is the understatement of the century. satoru damns the tragedy that took you away, because now he’s pathetic. he’s stuck sitting alone on the floor, chest stuttering and teeth sunk into his lip, holding back tears because it’s so fucking hard to just make a cookie how you used to make it.
the frustration finally boils over. satoru buries his face in his palms, leaned forward against his knees. the tears are endless, streaming down his cheeks. he feels inadequate and defeated. it’s been three months since he started trying to bake, and a year after your death. satoru regrets not doing a number of things before you passed, but one of them is not learning to bake with you. maybe if he spent less time sneaking chocolate chips from the bag and focusing on your measurements, how much of this or that that you used to sprinkle in, it wouldn’t be taking him god damn forever to learn how to bake chocolate chip cookies. not just from scratch, but exactly how you used to do it.
it’s all bullshit. it’s unfair. you didn’t deserve to be ripped away so soon. satoru didn’t deserve to have you taken from him so soon, in the blink of an eye. you were supposed to still be here, squeezed between his arms and helping him laugh away his mistakes. if you were here, it wouldn’t hurt so much that he couldn’t get these cookies perfect. in fact, it wouldn’t hurt at all, because you’d be thumping him on the head before he poured too much salt. you’d be here to wrestle the chocolate chips from him because ‘he’s using them all’. you’d be here to guide his hand and show him how to do things.
but you’re not here. the knowledge of your recipes has died with you. he sniffs and he whimpers and he cries, but you won’t be coming to tell him it’s alright. satoru can only sit and stare at the complete disarray of the kitchen. all with nothing to show for it.

you would risk absolutely anything to see your boyfriend — the boyfriend your parents forbade you from dating, the boyfriend everybody told you was a red flag, the boyfriend even you told yourself to not fall for. but god, was satoru gojo irresistable.
the sweetest boy you had ever come to discover in this short life of yours. how the loving words he told you melted off his tongue like honey, how his arms embraced you like a soft blanket, how his eyes were the most alluring sight to fall for. he was dream, and he was yours.
light taps against your window turn your head suddenly, to notice your boyfriend outside your house, looking up at you with another pebble in his hands.
“hi baby!” he cheers, and drops the pebble, beginning to climb his way up to your room as you open your window.
“you’re not supposed to be here, what are you doing?” you walk backwards, letting him into your bedroom.
“i wanted to see you, but your parents won’t let me in.” his smile blinds you, and he closes your window quietly. he takes off his shoes, and crawls into your bed.
“hey, i just changed the sheets, at least wear the sweatpants you left here.” you whine, and open your drawer, taking out his clothes for him to wear.
he smiles at the thought of you having his things, the thought of him being a part of you, everything of him is part of you. he can’t define himself without you. the girl who makes him who he is.
“okay, baby, anything you want.” he gives you a longing kiss, before changing into appropriate clothes.
the two of you curl up in your freshly changed sheets, smelling exactly like you. he lays on your side of the bed, which you allow because you know he loves the smell of your hair on the pillow. you’re facing each other, his hands trailing your face, and yours in his hair, a moment he wishes would never end.
“how’d you get here, i thought your parents weren’t letting you out of the house.” you finally speak.
“i snuck out! i found the keys to my motorbike and just got here.” oh, how this boy would do absolutely anything for you — he was smitten. he would walk naked through a blizzard if it meant getting to you.
you held his entire heart, his entire being belonged to you and you only — and he never forgot to show that. how could he? you consumed his existence, every waking thought of his was devoured by you. a world without you was a world without him.
“what are you gonna do if you get caught?” your eyes widen in panic, excuses of what to say flourish in your mind.
“don’t worry i won’t get caugh-“ the door opens, and satoru sees your parents, seething. he looks on your side of the bed, only to see that you’ve vanished, and reality slaps him in the face.
you’re gone.
“what are you doing here? i thought we told you to never show your face again!” your father lifts the poor boy up by his sweater, the sweater you got him for his birthday, and satoru worries that it’ll tear.
“honey, please let him go, don’t hurt him.” your mother interjects, pulling him away from satoru’s neck, to which he releases a gasp. “you need to leave, sweetheart. you can’t just sneak into our house like this for no reason.” she tries to reassure satoru kindly.
“i came here for y/n.” he feels the tears well up in his eyes, his bottom lip trembles as he tries to conceal the cry for help that’s about to explode on his expression.
“you know damn well she’s not here. and it’s all your fault you fuck-“ your father starts, and your mother places her hand on his chest.
“we know you miss her satoru, we do too. what happened to her was horrible for everyone, but you need to go home, we spoke to your parents, they said you weren’t leaving the house.”
satoru suddenly remembers everything, how he made you sneak out one night with him to go on a motorbike ride, the rides your parents always hated you going on. but you had done it millions of times before then, so you left, helmet in hand.
he remembers everything so clearly, how you begged him to stop going so fast, how it was too scary, and how he laughed and just said to hold on tight. he remembers your arms around his waist, how strong of a grip you had around him — he remembers how cold it was that night, the wind and the rain soaking your outfits. he remembers the oncoming truck and your screams before everything goes dark.
he remembers gaining consciousness shortly after, how your helmet screen is cracked, face bloodied, yet you still tried to reach a hand out towards him. he remembers how you tried to shuffle towards him, and him to you, before you eventually got slower, your arm lowering, and how you laid limp, only a few centimetres before him.
he remembers being in the hospital, waiting for you, asking the doctors, nurses, his family and friends about you, only to get the same answer each time — “she’s resting.” he remembers the day you died, the same day he got discharged from the hospital, and immediately went to visit you.
he remembers hearing the monotonous beep of the machine beside you, and how his world comes crashing down, how he begins to realise it was all his fault. he should’ve never made you sneak out on such a rainy night, he should’ve slowed down when you begged him to, he should’ve just stayed in your room with you that night like he had done before.
he remembers how weeks after your funeral, he got out of bed late at night, and decided to go to your house, your room, and climbing up your house to get into your room, because you had always kept the window open for him. he remembers going into your drawers to get his clothes out, before laying in your bed, muttering to himself, saying your name, calling you baby, all before he had gotten caught by your parents.
“i-i’m sorry, i know it’s my fault, i don’t know what came over me mr and mrs l/n, i’m sorry, i’ll go-“ he breaks out into a violent sob, before getting up and trying to leave through your window, only to be stopped by your father.
“stop.” satoru turns around, with eyes like a puppy. “stay for the night, you can sleep here.” and your father walks off, with your mother following suit, after closing the for satoru, and telling him sweet dreams.
your parents knew how much you loved satoru, how happy he made you, no matter how much of a bad influence he was. they knew how much he brought light to your eyes, how you would rather disappear forever than be in a world without satoru, because he defined you, and a world without him was a world without you. no matter how much your father disapproved of the gojou boy, he knew that satoru was always going to be the one for you, in this life and the next.
satoru sniffles, looking around your room, how cold and empty it felt. even if it was full of memories and photos and posters that represented, the room was shallow, yet so spacious and deep, all because it lacked you. satoru looks at the polaroids of you and your friends taped above your desk, and notices a press dried flower besides it, with a label underneath that wrote “first date with satoru <3”, and satoru breaks all over again. you consumed him, yet you weren’t around, and that was the worst part.
and it’s at this point, satoru absolutely knows for sure, a world without you, is a world without him.
a/n: sorry, kinda bad but i was listening to nomad by clairo on repeat whilst listening to this i think i definitely cldve worded this whole thing better

"'Toru? What are you still doing up?"
The sitting man jolts, his eyes flickering to you, their bright hue dimming as you cautiously enter the living room, draped in one of his shirts. His legs spread, palms patting once, twice against his thigh in a silent invitation for you – one that you accept without hesitation.
Your head tucks into the crook of Satoru's neck, nose inhaling his scent and committing it to memory – a pleasant mixture of sandalwood and the Earth. To you, it was comfort, it was a reminder of the home that you had built with him and Suguru.
"The stars are nice tonight, aren't they?" Satoru comments, his arms looping around your waist, holding you against him and tilting his head to rest his cheek against your hair. You hum against him, eyes flickering to the window.
Painted against the inky black sky are the stars that you and Satoru often watched together, laid out on a blanket on the front lawn and pointing up at them as if you had never seen them before. It was always cold during those nights, which usually resulted in Satoru tugging you against his chest, your body molding against his like a perfect little puzzle piece.
You two would lay there for hours, simply basking in the other's presence and staring up at the flickering yellow lights that adorned the sky. Both of your trances were only broken by Suguru's softened voice, scolding you both for being out so late and commenting how you would both likely be sick by morning.
Only then would Satoru roll up the blanket, helping you stand with gentle hands and allowing you to make your way back to the front door first. Softened aquamarine eyes watch as you beeline for Suguru's opened arms, hugging the raven-haired man and smiling brightly as gentle kisses are laid out over your face.
"Yeah, they're nice," you mutter offhandedly, biting back the yawn that claws up your throat. Your nose scrunches up, an action that Satoru once teased you for – though he stopped once he received a loving smack from Suguru, one paired with a gentle scolding.
Satoru hums, his eyes fluttering shut at the warmth that radiates from your body. Your breathing had deepened significantly, a telltale sign that you had fallen asleep against him – likely lulled by the gentle thump of his heart and the even rise and fall of his chest.
He tilts his head, pressing a gentle kiss against the crown of your head and looping his arms underneath you, lifting you against his chest and standing from the armchair. He couldn't have his darling wife sleep in such an uncomfortable position – you deserved much better than that.
Satoru walks silently to your bedroom, closing the door with his foot and gently laying you down in the sheets, tugging them around you and smiling gently as you adjust yourself. A content sight falls from your nose, cheek smushed against your pillow as you doze.
He climbs in beside you, tucking you against his chest and tangling his legs with your own. He blinks once, twice...then allows his tired eyes to finally close, welcoming sleep as it beckons to him with softened hands – hands that felt oddly similar to your own.
And somewhere across the way, resting on numbed legs and rubbing together cold hands, another pair of eyes watches the stars as they glitter in the night sky. He thinks back to a time where he would have enjoyed the stars – maybe even admired their bright yellow hue.
But that time is not now, and it is a time that he knows he can never go back to – not after what was said and what was done. Besides, he knew it was for the better. His departure from a domestic life was challenging...he had lost count of the tears that he had shed.
Tonight was one of those nights where he longed for the warmth of a bed, he longed for those two familiar bodies pressed against his own. He longed for the mornings where he would only half-listen to Frank Sinatra and watch as breakfast was prepared for him. He longed for the two people who had shown him endless care and support...but those two people were nothing but a pained memory.
Tilting his head up at the stars and at the crescent moon, shaky lips turn upward in a smile – one accompanied by salty tears that drip down his cheeks. His mind flashes images of those he longed for; one with snowy-white hair and the other with the kindest smile.
"The stars are nice tonight, aren't they?" Suguru mutters to himself, hoping that somehow – someway – maybe you and Satoru would hear him.
Everything was perfect.
"You may kiss the bride."
Your rosy lips turn upward in a lovesick smile, arms lifting to wrap around Gojo's neck and bring his face closer to yours, the tips of your noses brushing against one another as his arms loop around your waist. With one hand, he holds your waist, and with the other, he slowly begins to lift your leg, hooking it over his hip and dipping you down.
You let out a tearful giggle, the sound mixing with Gojo's chuckle as he slots his lips against yours, pouring years of love and adoration into a singular kiss. You squeeze your arms around him to steady yourself, smiling against his lips as they move against your own.
You pull back from him just as his tongue swipes against your bottom lip, no doubt wanting to shamelessly make out with you in front of an audience. But with your family sitting somewhere in the crowd, one of you had to demonstrate self-control.
"It's nice to meet you Mrs. Gojo," Gojo whispers, his breath fanning over your lips as he continues to hold you close. You dive forward, pecking his lips again. He smiles at you, tearful aquamarine eyes crinkling at the corners as he stares down at you; his little wife.
Everything was perfect.
"I'm home!" Gojo announces as he kicks his shoes off, turning his body halfway to close the front door and peering around the dim-lighted living room. His eyebrows furrow, arms slapping against his sides as he realizes that you're not running to him to embrace him.
Slowly, he walks further into the house, curiously peering into the kitchen only to be met with the sight of nothing. Worry sinks into his chest, but he doesn't allow himself to get worked up just yet.
"Honey?" Gojo's voice is a quiet whisper as he enters the living room, eyes met with a heartwarming sight; you're sat in the center of the couch, arms wound around a sleeping Megumi. The boy leans impossibly further into your side, his head tucked comfortably into the crook of your neck with his body splayed over your own like a weighted blanket.
His lips turn upward in a soft smile, hand reaching for his phone to photograph the moment and commit it to memory. But just as his fingers brush his phone, something tells him to instead live in the moment as opposed to capturing it.
Gojo moves to kneel silently beside the couch, reaching out his index finger and lovingly stroking it against your cheek, smiling to himself as your nose scrunches up and you stir slightly. Those eyes that he could spend hours gazing into flutter open, a sleepy smile curling the corners of your lips upward.
"Hi 'Toru," you whisper, yawning.
"Hi pretty girl."
Everything was perfect.
"Satoru Gojo!"
Gojo pauses, every bone in his body stilling as he slowly turns to look over his shoulder, swallowing his pride (and dignity) as you stomp over, Megumi not far behind. Gojo glances quickly at Yuuji and Nobara, silently asking them for help – but immediately the two first-years look around, not wanting to stand in the way of your wrath.
"Hey honey," Gojo says with a smile, already feeling sweat build up against his forehead as you grow closer, eyes flaring with an anger that he had only ever seen once before – and honestly, he had no idea how he had even survived. "What's – uh – what's going on?"
"What's going on?! You mean to tell me that you're going to stand there and act like nothing is wrong?" Your voice raises an octave or two in volume, making Gojo cringe and shrink in on himself. It was almost entertaining, really. Watching the 6'3 Special Grade Sorcerer be reduced to a shaking mess at the sight of his angered wife.
Gojo remains silent, not wanting to respond in the fear that you would bite his head off.
The staring contest between yourself and Gojo is tense, only made worse by the other pairs of eyes that watch quietly from the sidelines.
Yuuji shifts closer to Megumi, craning his neck just low enough to whisper into his ear, "What's going on?"
Megumi only smirks, lifting his arms to cross them over his chest. "He ate her leftovers last night."
Everything was perfect...
"I understand that your work is important, but you're barely home anymore," you say desperately, closing Megumi's bedroom door and turning on your heel to glance at Gojo. He rubs his hands against his face, skin catching the groan that falls from his lips.
"I can't just say no to what the higher-ups want me to do, honey. You know that," Gojo responds, not failing to notice how your teeth catch your bottom lip, roughly biting down into the supple skin.
"You have a family here 'Toru. Your missions are getting more and more dangerous and I – I don't want to be sitting on the couch one day and you just," you pause to swallow the growing lump in your throat, "don't come home."
Gojo softens, his heart hammering in his chest as he stares silently down at you. Your eyes shine with tears, tears that he desperately wants to reach out and brush away – but something inside of him tells him not to.
"Megumi needs you here. Hell, I need you here," you say desperately, laying a palm flat against your chest as you step forward to close the distance between yourself and Gojo.
Something inside you damn near breaks as your husband takes a step back from you.
"I know. Trust me I know. But there's only so much I can do. They need me (Y/N)," Gojo says. Immediately – the moment that those words fall from his lips – he wishes that he could fucking swallow them.
You freeze, body standing rigid as your eyes blankly stare at him. Any ounce of emotion, anything that might have made you human is suddenly gone, replaced instead by a robotic stare that chills Gojo down to his very core.
Silently, you brush past him, shoulder knocking against his chest as you walk down the hallway and vanish into the living room. Gojo stares after you, turning his head towards Megumi's door and screwing his eyes shut – fuck.
Everything was perfect...?
"Megumi! Have you seen your mother?" Gojo asks, waving his hand wildly in the air as the raven-haired teenager turns to glance at him, raising an eyebrow in both annoyance and curiosity.
"She just went out on a field mission, why?"
Gojo's heart sinks, body deflating as he pockets the necklace that he had planned to give you; a heart locket with a picture from your wedding day inside of it. Megumi watches his adoptive father's shaking hands, and a pang of curiosity flows through his body, but he makes no mention of it.
"Oh, no reason. I just wanted to give her something," Gojo answers dismissively, waving his hand at Megumi before he lets out a disappointed sigh.
Everything was perfect?
"I understand, I'll tell Shoko to prepare a bed now," Ichiji says with a swift nod, though it doesn't go unnoticed how he swallows the lump in his throat. He removes the phone from his ear, pressing down on its red "hang-up" button and stowing the device away in his pocket.
Curiously, Gojo peers at the assistant manager through his blindfold, tilting his head curiously as the younger man stands from his seat, beelining for the door and disappearing into the hallway.
The snowy-haired male stands, following closely behind Ichiji and watching as the man's back tenses, his hands curling into white-knuckled fists. What the fuck was going on?
His breath catches in his throat as he enters the infirmary. One of the tables is occupied, the body covered by a thin white tarp that's stained with the blood of whoever lies underneath.
Ichiji glances at Shoko, who only stares down at the stained tarp with a numb glint to her eyes. Her hand extends, fingers wrapping over the top of the tarp and lowering it to reveal who lies beneath.
Gojo's stomach turns.
Was everything perfect?

"satoru..?" you mumble, rubbing your eyes as you hear the bedroom door open. "is that you?"
"yeah.. sorry. didn't mean to wake you.." he says, closing the door.
"it's okay..." you start, "i heard about what happened...and i'm sorry i couldn't be there..how are you?" you ask, now sitting up, concered by his solemnness.
"i'm okay, (y/n), don't worry.. go back to bed, sweets." he responded, with a small smile (that didn't quite reach his eyes), in an attempt to reassure you.
"i'm gonna go shower, i'll join you in a bit.." he said, getting clothes and his towel. -------- hearing the bathroom door open, you jolted awake, still sitting in the bed.
"you didn't have to wait for me, you have work soon right? get some rest, baby.." he said sighing, crawling into bed and sitting with you.
"i wanted to..besides, i could say the same for you" you sigh, wrapping your arms around his neck and bringing his head to your shoulder, an action he dearly accepts.
"you don't have to do that, y'know?" you start, an arm around his shoulder and a hand in his hair.
"do what?" he asks, wrapping his arms around your waist, pulling himself closer, seeking your warmth after the cold day.
"act like you're okay, especially when you're not.." you respond.
"you can talk to me, satoru.. i'll always be here for you.." you suggest.
"i..." he starts, his voice breaking. "i was the one who did it (y/n)! not yuuta.. or- or anyone else...it was me.. i killed suguru.." he cries, breaking down after supressing his emotions for so long.
-------- 4:58 am. the first time satoru cries infront of you. the first time where crying didn't make him feel weak. the first time he felt safe breaking down. --------
"it's okay... it's okay..." you say hugging him tighter, glad he's communicating for once.
"please... don't leave me.." he cries as his voice breaks, sobbing in your arms like a child. hearing it breaks your heart, never wanting your boyfriend to ever have to feel like this again.
"i won't.. i wouldn't even think about it.." you reply, rubbing his back soothingly, in an attempt to ease his worries.
-------- 5:32 am. the time satoru stops crying. --------
hearing his sobs turn to small sniffles, you slightly change your position and lift his head in your hands, wiping his tears and rubbing his cheekbone with your thumb. "hey..i'll go make some lavender tea, wait here." you say, getting out of bed.
when you return, you find him in the same position you left him in and bring the tea to him.
"drink it slowly.." you say, taking a cup of your own and drinking from it.
he nods and finishes it, laying down with you after placing it on the side table with yours.
he wraps his arms around your waist and rest his head on your collarbone, sniffling as you hug him back.
"what about your work?" he asks, still worrying about others.
"i'll call in sick, so please just think about yourself for once..." you say, rubbing his back once again.
"okay, thank you.." he mumbles.
"of course.. i love you, 'toru." you say, placing a kiss to his head.
"i love you too.." he replies. --------------------------------------------------- it's not often that satoru cries, but when he does, you'll always be there for him, time and time again. ----------------------------------------------------
