(LTI) Chapter 1: We Meet Again

(LTI) Chapter 1: We Meet Again

Summary: An old alumni convinces you to return to UA. Your job? Train the next generation of heroes. But on your first day, old demons resurface.

Pairing: Shouta Aizawa (Eraserhead) x Fem!Reader (Illusionaire)

Quirk: Telepathic Illusions, Memory and Conscious Manipulation

Warnings: Hard angst to fluff, death, traumatic past, happy ending

A/N: This is a short chapter compared to some of my other work so I apologize! The next chapter will be a lot better, pinkie swear.

You lean against the rubble as the sound of sirens and soft chatter breaks up the dusty air. The pounding in your head is persistent, the burn of leather against the calluses of your hands intensifying the aches.

"This isn't the last you'll see of me! I'll make sure of it!"

Glaring at the villain being hauled off into the back of a cop car, you shakily stand up and walk over to the group of heroes that aided you in the attack. Of course, Number One was there, his flames radiating off of him, your hood from your suit trapping the heat in your face. Hawks kept chatting his ear off, seemingly still full of energy. But one young man caught your eye. Green hair and a nervous smile, a power that reminded you of only one person.

All Might.

"I see you've met my protege, Midoriya,"

Turning around, you can't help the smile forming on your face. Even in his weakened state, the arms that quickly wrapped around you were still as strong.

"Long time no see, Toshinori," you say with a grin.

"Likewise. It's not easy to track down Illusionaire now is it?"

"Well, that makes sense since after she graduated UA she spent time in the mountains learning samurai-like skills to aid her in battle since her quirk isn't strong like All Might's or Endeavour's. That's how she's the fifth top hero and the new leader of Nighteye's agency." Midoriya mumbles to himself.

Both you and Toshinori stare at the young one in shock at his knowledge, you more than the retired pro. However, at the mention of Nighteye, your head bows low in grief, the spunk keeping your shoulders up causing them to drop dramatically. He walks away, embarrassed by his actions, choosing to talk to what looked like one of his classmates.

"It looks like the villain attacks are getting closer and closer to UA," you mumble as you slowly look up again.

"You're right. While our security systems are strong, one day they won't be able to protect our students."

"Well, thankfully most of the teachers are retired or active pros. They're in good hands."

"We could use the element of surprise. A pro hero in our walls that can hear dangerous thoughts before the acts happen."

You whip your hood off and look at All Might with wide eyes.

"You want me to work at UA?!"

He laughs hard at your reaction, his hand ghosting over his wound as he slowly calms down.

"Yes. You could help train the students. They need to be strong both mentally and physically on the field. We need you, (Y/N)."

A sigh tickles your lips as you look at the destruction around you. So many heroes who began teaching disappeared from the field, good ones too. Some that would have ended this battle before it even started. Plus, you had the agency to think about now. Sure you had many within its walls that could keep it running, but the pressure was still there as the leader. With a moral tug of war playing between your head and heart, a firm hand grasps your shoulder.

"You know, not all pros who choose to teach leave the field. I mean Ai-"

You tense up immediately, your jaw automatically clenching.

"Don't say his name..."

"Sorry, certain pro heroes protect the city at night and help with major battles while also teaching. You don't have to leave what you love."

Looking at young Midoriya, you knew you had already decided. The next generation of heroes needed you.

"When do I start?"

-~-

Quietly perched hidden in the rafters of the training arena, you cock your head softly to one side as you listen to Class 1A begin to shuffle in.

"I remember meeting Ms. (L/N) on the battlefield before but she may have other tricks up her sleeve. I need to watch her closely, make sure to only use 5% so I can learn more about her fighting style."

"When will these extras shut up?! And where even is this teacher so I can kick her ass?! Not like she can beat the most powerful person in this stupid class?"

"I wonder if I should try that new cold soba place down the street..."

"Mr. Aizawa is not going to be happy if we continue to act like this in a new teacher's class. But how do I rally them?"

The name sends shivers up your spine, your head tilting more to one side as your jaw clenches tight. Slowly you push your head into a normal position, looking for the boy who claimed to be the strongest. As you see him enter the room, you tiptoe across the rafters until you stand directly above him.

Letting gravity take control, you drop from the rafters, landing on the top part of your feet to stay quiet. A cocky grin etches its way across the kid's face. But before he can make a sound, you lay your hand on his head, completely taking control of his brain.

He put up a good fight, that's for sure. However, it didn't take much push from you until his brain was like putty in your hands.

"So this is your strongest classmate?"

Everyone jumps up, a few students screaming out of fright including a certain purple shortie.

Looking towards the young man with red and white hair, you cock your head, prodding at his subconscious. His duel-coloured eyes glare into yours, mental walls being built just as fast as you take them down. With a smirk, you retreat.

"You show promise," you roll your neck as you lift your hand off the other boy, him falling to the ground a drooling mess.

"Um, Ms. (L/N)? Will he be okay?" a purple-haired young man asks.

"Besides a hurt ego? Yes, he will be,"

Pulling your hood off, you smirk at the rest of the class as their eyes go wide in shock.

"Illuminaire?!"

"Damn..."

Clenching your jaw at the familiar voice in your head, you quickly turn and glare at the raven-haired sensei.

"Don't forget who you're around and keep your thoughts to yourself."

He keeps his disinterested face as per usual, but you know if you went poking in Aizawa's head you would find nerves engulfing him.

"Don't forget, you're only a trainer. I'm the teacher here."

"Well, what a great job you're doing Aizawa! I could take your class down in seconds."

"You're a pro and they're still kids-"

"Kids training to be pros, Eraserhead!"

He swallows just a bit, shoving his hands into his pockets as he returns a disinterested stare to your glare.

"Now...if you'll excuse me, I have training to do. Go back to grading papers, teach."

A few ooos echoed throughout the crowd, a crimson glare of the kid you had under your control amongst them.

"Alright, class! The first lesson," you slowly pull out your katanas and roll your shoulders, slowly tilting your head to the side. "How to keep a telepath out."

(LTI) Chapter 2: Bullshit Secrets

(LTI) Chapter 2: Bullshit Secrets

Masterlist

Summary: Memories of Aizawa haunt you ever since you came to face with him after nearly a decade apart. However, the space between you that was once there continues to grow. You demand answers. He gives you none.

Pairing: Shouta Aizawa (Eraserhead) x f!Reader (Illusionaire)

Quirk: Mind reading and projection

Rating: 18+, minors do not interact

Warnings: Graphic fight scenes, intense angst (this will continue to be updated as the series moves along.)

Taglist: Open

A/N: Memories are in italics. There is intense angst in this chapter with no resolution. You have been warned, Aizawa is portrayed as a bit of an asshole in this chapter (even though he isn't).

Soft squeezes around your middle and long hair tickling your face wakes you up before the sun has even risen. With a soft yawn, you turn and look up at Shouta, somewhat awake, the ghosts of dark circles framing his eyes.

"Is there a reason you woke me up so early?" you mumble.

"Hmph," he says as he lays on his back again, your head resting against his chest. "We have our provisional licensing exam today, darling. Starts bright and early."

"Did you have to remind me?"

A soft chuckle makes your head bounce up and down subtly, a soft kiss pressed to your hairline that makes you stretch against him.

"Thought you would've preferred this than me trying to wake you up later."

"How thoughtful of you," you mumble tiredly.

Gentle fingers dance across your exposed side, making you giggle and squirm from the ticklish feeling.

"Okay, okay! You're right."

His tickles slowly stop, a peaceful sigh leaving his lips. Like an invisible force, you're drawn to him. Into his loving yet tired stare. Into the arms that had already protected you countless times.

Gently, you tuck his hair behind his ear, letting your thumb trail across his cheek lightly. Slowly, he leans down towards you, his nose nudging your own to the side before his lips meet yours. Soft, slow, everything you didn't know you needed. The warm fuzzy feeling reaches your toes as your heart picks up its pace.

A soft pull drags your lips away from his, but not too far as you feel them against yours again like a tickle as he speaks once again.

"I love you,"

A simple three-word gesture. That's all you needed to know you were okay. You were safe within his arms.

"I love you too,"

Where had that man gone?

The one that promised to always be by your side, only to cast you aside like trash. The one that made you feel protected all those years, only to leave you at your most vulnerable.

Where had the Shouta you knew a decade ago gone?

You thought you would never get your answer.

A new day always brings new challenges. That phrase Aizawa had shared with you years ago still sticks to you despite the sting of his betrayal. And today was no different.

Not only had Bakugou once again tried to kill Midoriya during training, but Aizawa thought it would be interesting to add his protege into the mix. Your entire training session with Class 1A was productive chaos. Never had you met another hero like you, and yet there was Shinso, your next challenge.

While your powers differed, they were all the same. You could tap into the mind, read the greatest dreams and fears, project them. And of course...you had your hidden move. One you only showed to other heroes. And only Shouta himself knew how deadly it was...

Shinso on the other hand, he tapped into the consciousness through verbal pathways. All you needed was eye contact. However, once your quirk is activated, you need to speak to keep them in your spell. This gave Shinso the upper hand, breaking out of your quirk and using his own.

A mental tug of war took up most of the training session, one that had the rest of the class at the edge of their seats. Despite Aizawa's outward disinterest, he was just as tense.

It left the class begging for more, asking to see if their homeroom teacher could beat their trainer. Both of you quickly refused, ending the class with the same commanding glare.

That's how you ended up here, alone in the training gym with the one man you despised, glaring at you like you were the problem.

"Your quirk doesn't turn me to stone so stop glaring," you say as you cross your arms.

"Why didn't you take the challenge?" he asks blankly, his hands still resting in his pockets.

"Why didn't you?"

"I have to set the example,"

"Well so do I. Just admit it, you're chicken. You cut me off so you have no idea what I can do now, you don't want to lose in front of your students."

"I would never lose to some faux hero like you,"

"Faux hero? Who's the one hiding behind four walls of a school instead of living up to their potential?"

"And how's that potential for you? A pro hero who couldn't even save her own brother,"

You take a step back, salty tears pushing at your eyelids, threatening to spill despite your best attempts.

Memories flood through you, that day. How you watched Sasaki sustain his injuries after Overhaul broke your trance. How he died with his hand in yours, asking you to give him a good dream before he goes.

"At least I did something with my life, Eraserhead. At least I'm not a bitter man who has nothing better to do than berate their ex."

And with that, you left.

You left the dojo, the school, all the way back to the dorms. All of the students were gathered in the common area enjoying dinner together, even Bakugou was enjoying himself. But it all flew in one ear and out the other as you quickly entered your room and shut the door.

Stripping out of your training wear and tying your hair into a tight bun, you adorned your hero outfit. Tight black suit with even darker armour adorning the chest, shoulders, knees and elbows. A slot on your chest armour is filled with the belt of the sheath that holds your weapon of choice, your hood making its way over your head to accommodate the accessory. Fingerless gloves and combat boots finish the fit as you pull a wide case off the shelf of your closet.

Laying it gently on your bed, you hear a click of something opening. Prodding around the room, you found one of the consciouses you had yet to break, Shoto Todoroki's.

"Shoto...shouldn't you be enjoying time with your class?"

"I'm sorry, sensei. But I saw a look on your face...one I'm all too familiar with."

Turning towards the boy, you see the concern under his steely expression. With a soft smile, you wave him over. As he walks in, he cranes his neck to look at the katanas that lay among the silk in its case.

"This was the last thing my brother, Nighteye, ever gifted me before he died. I had just passed my training as a samurai, and he surprised me with these katanas."

"They're quite beautiful,"

"I'd have to agree, Todoroki,"

Picking up the metal handles with ease, you slip them into the sheaths in your back. You walk over to the window and quickly open it. Jumping onto the window sill, you take a moment to look at the boy one last time.

"I know you have a troubled past. But not all trauma has scars. Not all trauma needs to be told,"

Slipping on the other end of your window, you jump up and climb your way to the roof, using the creeping darkness to cloak you.

As the night progressed, you caught lots of thugs, car thieves, the usual from your earlier days of night patrol. It seems like every major call you tried to answer had been resolved by the time you got there.

So, you settled on the roof of a building, coffee in hand and a horrible convenience store sandwich in the other, waiting for another call.

A fury of scarves and a blink of yellow lands beside you, making you audibly sigh.

"Haven't you tortured me enough for one day?" you ask.

"Like you haven't been doing the same to me?" Aizawa retorts as he takes his goggles off.

Turning to him, your eyes go completely white as you poke at his consciousness.

"It wasn't my choice to leave me on the UA grounds on graduation day..."

With a harsh scoff and the shake of your head, your eyes return to normal as you instead direct your glare to the watery coffee. An uncomfortable silence barely settles when you finally ask:

"Why?"

"Why what?"

"Why did you break up with me in the first place?"

Slowly, you look toward the raven-haired man, watching his face for any tell, any clue. He took way too long to answer.

"I knew we were going to break up anyways after you said you were going to be training as a samurai."

"Bullshit."

Aizawa turns slightly towards you, a look of shock exploding in his eyes.

"Tell me the truth..."

"It's not that simple, (Y/N)-"

"Then why don't we make it simple, huh?! Were you playing me the entire time?"

A sigh reverberates from deep within his chest.

"No."

"Did I do something to upset you, wrong you?"

"No..."

"Did you even love me?"

Another long silence.

"No."

Another punch to the chest, but you wouldn't let it show. You swallow every emotion bubbling to the surface, the heartbreak threatening to show itself and rip your surroundings apart.

Gripping onto your lukewarm coffee, you throw it directly at his head before standing up, jumping into the darkness below. As fast as your legs could take you, you run through the alleys all the way back to UA.

Once in the safety of your room, you rip your hood off as uncontrollable tears burn across your cold cheeks.

Your heartbreak was mixed with suspicion, the silence between answers unsettling to you. No matter your thoughts, your emotions took center stage.

With a scream of frustration, you throw a katana straight through the wall without a second thought. Right into Aizawa's room.

"Fucking great," you mumble.

Yanking the blade from the drywall, you placed both of them back in their case. With your katanas and suit off, tucked away safely, you crawled into bed, ready to sleep the pain away.

LTI Chapter 3: Eraserhead v. Illusionaire

LTI Chapter 3: Eraserhead V. Illusionaire

Masterlist

Summary: The truth reveals itself, but will it be a relief or a vulnerability?

Pairing: Shouta Aizawa (Eraserhead) x Fem!Reader (Illusionaire)

Quirk: Telepathic Illusions, Memory and Conscious Manipulation

A/N: The angst flood continues! Requests are open :)

"Alright class, get in and settle down,"

It had been weeks since your confrontation with Aizawa. Despite all of the tension between you two, the students seemed clueless. You two thought you had gotten away with your little fight. But oh how you were wrong.

Just as you were about to discuss the day's training arrangement, a pinkish hand shot straight up into the air, catching your attention as you looked through the crowd.

"What is it, Mina?"

Turning around, you shoot a glare at the grumpy teacher for interrupting you just as you were about to answer her question. Always overstepping...

"How come you and Mr. Aizawa have never sparred? I mean your powers are basically the same, so who would win?"

You hear a tired sigh from behind you, Mina's words swirling in your head in a whirlpool of hurt and revenge. Just as Aizawa opens his mouth, you beat him to it.

"You know what? You're right, Mina." you say, turning away from the class and grabbing your katanas from your desk.

"Change of plans class. Instead of you doing the training, it's time you watched the pros have a proper sparring session." you turn around, katanas at the ready.

Aizawa still stays as emotionless as ever, completely disinterested in the fact that you had accepted the challenge. Nevertheless, he pulls his goggles out from a pocket of his and places them on his eyes.

All of Class 1A surrounds you two, creating a fight ring to keep you contained in a small space within the dojo. Of course, Midoriya was upfront and center, notebook and pen ready to watch your separate fighting styles.

"All right, let's keep this a clean fight. Only use your quirks and weapons on you. No using the students to your advantage." Aizawa says as he crouches low to the floor.

"Do you honestly think I would stoop that low just to beat you?" you say, fire building up behind your eyes as you crouch in Widow's pose.

"Iida, count it down," he growls.

"Alright, you may start in three," the boy says while looking at his watch.

You tense up every muscle from your hips down.

"Two,"

Shouta closes his eyes and grips his capture weapon.

"One,"

Both of you take a deep breath out.

"Go!"

By the time Aizawa has opened his eyes, you've already flipped behind him, katanas at the ready as you go to swing at his shoulder to disarm him. With the same natured speed, he turns and grips your wrist holding the katana, twisting it in a gruesome manner.

You cry out and drop the weapon quickly, instead choosing to slide underneath his legs with your one remaining weapon. That's when all of the student's voices disappear and all you hear are their cheers. You look up into a fury of black hair and red eyes.

He erased your quirk. Exactly what you were waiting for.

You feign being flustered, beginning to take flustered shots at the hero in order to try and make him blink. A swing to the head, miss. A kick in the chest, miss. Trying to kick his legs out from under them, miss.

But just as you stand up to try and hit him in the head with your katana, your moment comes. He blinks.

Quickly dropping your weapon, you grab onto his head with record speed and deactivate his quirk, his hair falling as well as his eyelids as his brain is paralyzed, incapable of making its own decision. The students gasp as they watch your eyes cloud over with white and you use your quirk to show you his greatest fear to disarm him once and for all.

Except it's not there.

Instead, all you can find is his best dream.

A small home outside of the city. A nice backyard sets the scene as you see yourself with a bundle of blankets in your arm. The nearby cherry blossom tree lets some of its leaves drop as the wind pushes through them.

You turn to look at someone. The dream reframes, showing Shouta leaning against the doorway, coffee in hand with his hair tied back, loose grey sweats framing his waist.

"I'm sorry if I woke you, she wouldn't go back to sleep. I knew some fresh air might help her." you smile softly.

"I was awake the minute she started crying," Shouta says with a chuckle as he draws closer to you, sitting beside you in the soft grass.

Gently, you hand over the small bundle of blankets to reveal a baby, her hair as dark as Aizawa's with the same black eyes staring back at you. But everything else looked like you, a perfect blend.

The sunrise catches the diamond that lays on your finger, as you tuck some of Aizawa's stray hair behind his ear.

"You guys really need to learn how to be quiet," Shinso says, a half-asleep Eri in his arms.

You chuckle softly, taking Eri from his arms as he sits down beside you. Again, you look towards Aizawa and one feeling overwhelms you.

Home.

Suddenly, you're warped back to reality as Aizawa reenacts his quirk and pins you to the ground. The students cheers fill the dojo as you feel your features soften unwillingly. But as your thoughts race around your head like a toddler on caffeine, your stare hardens and your jaw clenches.

"What type of mind game was that, Aizawa?" you mumble angrily.

With a grunt he gets off of you, taking off his goggles and looking at the class.

"Consider this your lesson for the day. Class is dismissed early, use it wisely."

The class quickly scurries out of the room, grasping at the opportunity for a little more downtime. You stay laying on the ground, your mind completely overwhelmed while your body was fatigued from desperately trying to find something that wasn't there. With the scene from Aizawa's mind in yours, it left you grasping for straws, for any logical reasoning.

Had he buried it down deeper into his conscious than you thought?

No way, you had searched every part of his subconscious.

What if he had worked through his greatest fear already?

That's when it hit you.

"Am I your greatest fear?" you ask.

Aizawa turns to you and offers you a hand.

"C'mon, we have a lot to talk about."

-~-

On the same building where you fought nights ago is where the two of you sit in silence. Another cup of watered-down coffee in hand, a subtle grin gracing your face at what you did that night. Aizawa looks towards you and lets the tiniest smirk show.

"The whole coffee on my head thing, I deserved it,"

"Fuck yeah you did,"

"No need to rub it in,"

A soft chuckle comes from both of you, your shoulders slowly beginning to relax, your jaw becoming lax. But typical of your quirk, it brings back what you saw earlier that day, Aizawa's dream.

"You never answered my question," you say as you turn towards him. "Why could I only find your dream?"

Another silence fills the air, and you feel the tension in your shoulders begin to climb again. He's going to shut you out again, isn't he?

"Because, my greatest nightmare already happened," he says quietly.

He takes a sip of the same watered-down coffee while you sit in silence waiting for him to continue.

"Graduation day, when I left you behind on campus after ending things. The day I lost you, that has been my greatest fear since I met you. And it came true,"

So you were right, Aizawa's greatest fear was losing you.

"Then why did you break up with me? What did I-"

"This whole time you better not have been blaming yourself for our split," he looks at you, letting his eyes fill with worry for a fraction of a second.

Your silence answers everything.

"Look, (Y/N), it was never you. If I could've chosen any other way, we'd be happy together, married, kids, the whole thing. But life had different plans," he sighs. "Your brother at the time saw how strong we were together. You know how hard we trained, when we worked together we were nearly unstoppable. Your brother approached me after looking into our future before Midoriya changed it. You would've been dead by now...because of me,"

His voice wavers towards the end, so he draws quiet, casting his glare back to the coffee cup once more.

"Why didn't you come to find me, when Midoriya changed the timeline?"

"Your brother had just died. It was never the right time. And then I wondered if our future really had changed, or if you being close to me again would cause your death either way."

It grows silent as you stew everything over. This entire time, Aizawa was protecting you. Keeping you alive by keeping the dark secret that has probably haunted him for the last decade. No matter what, he was always going to protect you, even if it meant facing his greatest fear.

"Thank you, for protecting me," you say as you put the coffee cup down, moving closer to him.

"But I can protect myself. And I'm done being miserable because my greatest fear happened too,"

He looks towards you, his nose gently bumping yours as you move closer. It was like you were back 10 years ago, on that field, reconciling before your greatest fears were realized. Everything you had wanted and craved for so long was finally in front of you.

Just as he leaned in towards you, the ghost of his lips touching yours, you lay a hand on his chest and gently stop him. You look down fast, unable to maintain eye contact. Before you would have to explain yourself, multiple sirens go off in the distance.

Both of you quickly look towards the sound, only to see an explosion in the distance and the roar of one of the many beasts you had faced.

A nomu had attacked.

LTI Chapter 4: All Cards On The Table

LTI Chapter 4: All Cards On The Table

Masterlist

Summary: The famous duo Eraserhead and Illusionaire return!

Pairing: Shouta Aizawa (Eraserhead) x Fem!Reader (Illusionaire)

Quirk: Telepathic Illusions, Memory and Conscious Manipulation

A/N: I actually really like this chapter, it's the first time I've been somewhat happy with a fight scene. Enjoy!

"Illusionaire! Catch!"

Turning around, you see Aizawa tossing the beast that was a Nomu straight towards you using his capture weapon, his hair flying all over the place and eyes so red they looked like they could be bleeding.

Bracing yourself against the rubble behind you, you swing your arm around just in time for your katana to cleanly slice through the nomu's arm. As blood sprayed faster than a fountain all over the place, the monster retaliates, swinging its other arm straight towards you. Bouncing off your heels, you back flip behind the rubble just in time to watch it get smashed to pieces.

The fist comes for it's second swing, straight down onto your head as the other one regrows out of the corner of your eye. Creating an x brace with your blades, you grit your teeth and prepare for the smack down, only for familiar white strips to appear, wrapping around the monster's arm at the last possible moment.

"Nice try..." you hear a mumble from behind the beast.

Quickly you twirl your katanas to face outwards on either side of your arm before sliding underneath its legs and cutting inches of muscle into pieces. A screech mixed with a roar echoes off of brick and mortar as you spin onto your knee and stand once again. Flipping your katanas once more, you sheath them into their place on your back.

"Just keep him still for me! I'll take care of the rest!" you yell to Aizawa as you pull a small hand blade out from a hidden pocket on your side.

You back up with haste until one of your calves comes into contact with another piece of concrete. Charting your path is simple and soon enough, your feet are moving without thought. Just at the right moment, you propel yourself onto the beast with the help of another chunk of stone, securing yourself on its back with your blade.

As more screams from the nomu and from Shouta echo around you, you swing upwards with what little momentum you had left. With ease, you wrap your legs around the neck of the beast and begin to cut off its oxygen to the brain. Gripping onto its head tightly, you feel your eyes flutter closed as you put all your power into turning its brain into mush.

But Aizawa can hold on no longer.

Soon you feel your balance begin to waver, the nomu wandering around roaring in frustration as it tries to pry you off. With strong hands and sharp nails, it pries at your back, arms, and legs. But you work through the pain, eventually letting out a battle cry as you release all of your power into its brain.

With a large thud, you fall to the ground, creating plums of dust that stick to your bloody skin. As your eyes open, you see the defeated nomu beneath you, no life left in its eyes...well whatever life was actually left in it.

"Illusionaire!" a voice calls through the dust.

With a cough you stand, shakily you must admit, but standing nonetheless. A calloused hand suddenly touches one of your wounds, making you hiss and pull away with a turn, fists up at the ready. Your eyes meet yellow goggles making you drop one fist while the other weakly punches Shouta's chest.

"You good?" you ask as you slowly remove your hood.

"Yeah, I'm fine. But you're not."

"Eraserhead-"

"Illusionaire, you’re bleeding from your eyes..."

With a sigh, you wipe away what blood hadn't already dried and caked on with the dust.

"It happens when I overuse my powers. But I'm fine..."

"At least let me take care of those scratches. I know how much you hate hospitals. "

You think it over but as the pain sets in, your doubts are cleared away.

"Damn right I do. I'll come with you."

After a long ordeal with the cops, you and Aizawa retire to his apartment. It was small, clean, quaint, nothing less than what you had expected.

But as you stare in his immaculate mirror, your worries resurface.

What if your brother was right?

What if you and Aizawa were each other's death sentences?

What the hell were you even doing here?

With a sigh, you knew that no matter what, your stories would end in heartbreak.

You didn't notice that you had been washing the dirt and muck of the fight off of you for the past hour and a half. It wasn't until there was a knock on the door that your brain came back to reality.

"You didn't pass out in there did you?"

A soft chuckle reverberates from your chest as you gently wipe away the water from your face. You quietly unlock the door after hanging up the simple face cloth. Shouta looks down at you, his eyes now revealed since his hair was tucked into a ponytail, a soft emotion filling them. Slowly, carefully, you see his hand make its way upwards, his calloused hands coming into contact with your cheek as he caresses it.

What you didn't know was that at that moment, Aizawa knew he could never let you go again.

What he didn't know was that at that moment your heart didn't care if you were each other's death sentences, you needed him in your life again.

Leading your head towards his with the hand on your cheek, your opposite wraps around his neck slowly, taking the time to gently tug on the hair by his neck. His lips meet yours for the first time in decades, like an antidote to the virus that plagued you of his absence. It was soft, unsure, just like both of you were. But once you pulled away and saw the same look in each other's eyes, you knew that no future could change things now. Quickly, you kiss again, this time with a little more urgency, a little more passion. His other hand wraps around your back gingerly, pulling you close to him as you find yourself pinned to a wall. With a soft bite to his bottom lip, you move your other hand up his chest only for it to halt in its tracks.

"Daddy, what are you and (Y/N)-chan doing?"

You both stand in stunned silence, still wrapped in each other's arms. Aizawa eventually speaks up as he pulls away from you.

"Well, when two people love each other there are certain things you do together," he explains as he crouches down to Eri's level.

"So you and (Y/N)-chan love each other?" she asks innocently.

Without hesitation, you grasp onto Shouta's shoulder gently and answer.

"More than you know,"

You feel his once tense shoulder slowly relax under your touch. With a soft squeeze, you look at him.

"You can put her to sleep. I'll get the bed ready if you'll have me?"

Shouta stands and pulls you close to his side, gently laying a kiss to the side of your head before mumbling:

"Always,"

A soft smile breaks up your face as you gently pull away and retire to Shouta's bedroom. You catch a look at your back in the mirror, the gauze painted with bright red stains. Those weren't going to scar well.

Slowly, you pull on one of Shouta's shirts, his scent enveloping you, calming you. You meticulously take down the bed, making sure everything was in its place in the way you remember he likes. Once everything was set, you slip into the cozy sheets and sigh contentedly.

After a while, you feel a body join from behind you, an arm wrapping around your waist before gently bracing your back against a warm chest.

A tired smile comes across your face as your free hand reaches down and gently squeezes the one on your waist. Eventually, your fingers lace together, holding on like either one might disappear if you let go too soon.

"Be honest with me," you hear Aizawa mumble. "all cards on the table."

"Yeah?" you whisper.

"Are you willing to risk your life...just for me?"

In a heartbeat, you reply.

"Yes. I always did, I always will."

Recovery

Recovery
Recovery

Summary: Aizawa has always been protective of you, almost to a fault. After a perilous battle with one of the strongest Nomu you've encountered yet, his protection intensifies, much to your shagrin.

Pairing: Shota Aizawa x fem!Reader

Power/Quirk: Magnetism

Request: Yes

Warnings: Unless you're against fluff, no warnings.

A/N: Thank you for the request! Life has been busy but lots of fun thanks to the summer heat :). This prompt was perfect cause I need a break from the close to 4k angst fest I've been working on lately. Hope you enjoy @itspauvr !

Fuck the League of Villains.

Especially that Dabi kid.

The crew had resurfaced with newer, stronger Nomu, cascading in the night to cause the most chaos. This one must have had 8 plus quirks, using them all at random or together. To make things even more complicated - Dabi was hidden behind the beast causing more chaos. You could barely keep the Nomu at bay as Aizawa battled the kid.

By the time Endeavour and a very grumpy-looking Hawks had arrived, your head and abdomen were oozing blood from the multiple hits you had taken.

You worked with them, killing the Nomu just in time to watch your husband get knocked to the ground by the villain crew kid, hand ready to blast Aizawa's fast off in his flames of fury.

Without thinking, your hand reaches out, gripping onto the metal that lined the boys body and yanked him towards you. As you landed a solid punch to his face, his quirk activates and burns your from your shoulder down.

All you could remember before blacking out from the pain was sending a flurry of very sharp daggers into his back.

You woke up to a very pissed-off Aizawa.

"What the hell were you thinking back there, (Y/N)? You could have gotten yourself killed."

The firmness in his voice was one that was so similar to the one he used with his class, it made you chuckle only for it to be followed by a wince.

"I'm not one of your students, Shota."

"I know you're not. You're my wife, you're more important."

You smile as much as you can through the haze of drugs you felt pumping through your system. But you weren't too hazy to hear him mumble:

"Even though you're just as impulsive as them."

That earned a metal tray to the back of the head and another stern glare from Aizawa as you glared back at him with a quirked eyebrow.

"How about a thank you for saving your ass, hmm?"

Only a chuckle leaves his lips before leaning back in his chair and you smirk - knowing you won this fight.

Oh, how you were wrong.

As soon as you were home, Shota might as well have used his capture weapon to keep you in your shared bed. If you were busted out of bed by the time he was home from his classes you were in a ton of trouble.

He took the whole 4-weeks of rest a little too seriously.

While, yes, you were a bit bored throughout the day, it wasn't all bad. Eri would come in for cuddles with you and Shota every morning. She would snuggle carefully close you while she talked about everything and anything under the sun. Shinso would bring you lots of books to read from the school library he thought you would find interesting.

But the best was the weekends with Shota. After being integrated into Class 1A - Shinso had made a few friends that he didn't mind hanging out with or training on the weekends. And after lots of begging from Midoriya and Togata, Eri gets to spend some weekends with them at UA.

With the house to yourselves, Aizawa would bring home your favourite food, as well as some healthier foods (a man can hope) and climb into bed with you. You'd spend the weekends talking about future plans or watching cheesy comedy movies that made your husband groan. He truly didn't mind though, whatever he could do to put a smile on your face is worth it.

Eventually, though, you would fall asleep and he would sneak away to grade worksheets and papers. And every time without a doubt, you would waddle out of bed to join him.

"(Y/N), you're not supposed to be out of bed." he would grumble.

"The doctor said rest, not bed rest Shota," you say with a cheesy grin while grabbing one of his coveted red pens.

"Sitting up with your abdomen covered in bruises doesn't count,"

A glare is shot your way and you return it with a smile while tucking a stray piece of hair that had escaped his bun behind his ear.

"I promise I'm okay. I just want to spend time with you before the week starts all over again,"

He sighs and relents, turning back to his papers before portioning off a small section for you to grade. It only took 20 minutes of grading before you fell asleep at his desk. A rare smile graces his face before he lifts you back into bed.

After he tucks you in, he lays a soft kiss on your forehead before returning to his office.

Yeah - getting taken care of by Shota wasn't the worst.

Bonus:

After a few weeks, the doctor cleared you for any and all activities since you had fully healed. Let's say, you earned your punishment.

Quiet footsteps pitter-patter across hardwood floors as you stand at the stove, watching the bubbles begin to break the surface of the egg you had just placed in the pan. Turning around, a smile etches onto your face when you see doe eyes that belong to Eri; still in her Eraserhead pyjamas and clutching her Illusionaire stuffy.

"What are you cooking?" she whispers softly before clinging to your leg.

"Hmm, I don't know, maybe my favourite little girl's food in the whole world."

"You're making tamagoyaki?!" she yells in excitement.

"Shh!" you say softly with a giggle before gently rubbing her back. "But yes, I'm making tamagoyaki along with some miso soup, rice and fish cakes."

Eri stays quiet after that, clinging to your leg as the smell of eggs fills the room, causing a small smile to form. Once you finished a few of the cylindrical omelettes, you feel Eri tug on your shirt, wanting you to bend to her level. When you do, you get a kiss on the cheek and a quick;

"Thank you, mommy,"

She takes the plate with a gleeful smile and quickly makes her way to the small dining room table you had placed just outside the kitchen. An even brighter smile replaces your previous one as you stand.

"She really loves you,"

Turning around you see Shota with his hair in a bun, grey sweatpants and a black shirt hanging off of him from the night's previous rest. With a grin, you begin to clean up.

"I was so worried she wouldn't accept me, or even Shinso wouldn't want me around."

"Well they both love you and everything you do for them," he says as he dries his hands off from doing the dishes.

"They love you too you know,"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know. Probably for different reasons though."

You snort softly before pulling him close to you by his sweatpants, gently swaying your hair out of your face with the flick of your head.

"And? Do you love me?" you ask with a grin.

"Shut up,"

He kisses you in between giggles, your arms slowly wrapping around his neck as your lips play an intricate dance. You feel his hands wrap around your waist, slowly lifting you up from the floor a little as you nibble on his bottom lip just a touch.

"You two can be really gross,"

With a soft groan, Aizawa breaks the kiss and nuzzles his head into your neck out of both embarrassment and annoyance. You slightly turn your head with a grin to see an exhausted Shinso, looking just as annoyed as his (adoptive) father.

"Go help Eri set the table and we will be right there,"

He simply nods before walking away, a subtle 'humph' coming from Aizawa once he leaves. You reluctantly pull away, tucking a stray piece of hair behind his ear with a smile. You hand off a few plates to him which he expertly takes into the next room. Following with the last few dishes, you look at the little family before you.

Aizawa already helping Eri put food on her plate while Shinso lets a soft grin slide. The way your daughter's eyes light up and the sight of the fluffy egg. To put a cherry on top, you gently placed a fish cake on the side before laying them on the table for everyone else to eat.

Yes, looking at your family, it was little moments like these that gave you peace.

Nicotine | Aizawa Shota X Reader

You had shown up to his apartment not long after he called..

Again.

As soon as you were through the door, the two of you had dove right into sloppily making out and pawing off each other’s clothing..

Again.

You two had taken your heaving chests, kiss bitten lips, panted moans, and lust heated bodies straight to his bedroom without having a proper conversation beforehand..

Again!

You let out a loud moan, your orgasm taking over your mind, as Shota gives one last thrust and groans into your mouth in one last open-mouthed sloppy kiss as he cums. He stays on top of you for a moment, lazily making out with you, before he slowly pulls out and flops onto his back next to you.

As you both lay there panting and coming down from your highs you close your eyes. Shota slowly gets up, tying off the condom and heading to the bathroom to throw it away and clean himself up.

The post-orgasm clarity hits you and the feeling of disappointment fills you as you sit up. You let out a heavy sigh as you rub your hands over your still flushed face and swing your legs over the side of the bed. Your eyes scan the floor for your clothes, more negative and heavy emotions stacking themselves on top of the disappointment. Collecting your clothes from off of the floor, you start to get dressed.

“What are you doing?” Shota asks from the doorway of the bathroom, startling you a bit.

You don’t turn around to face him because you know that his face is either it’s usual tired disinterest or it’s occasional tired confusion.

“I’m getting dressed.” You state, attempting to make your tone blank and void of emotion.

“That much was obvious, (Y/N). Why are you getting dressed?” He says, his tone slightly more irritated than normal.

“This was a mistake, Shota.” You bite out, already feeling the sting of tears in your eyes.

You feel the bed dip behind you and hear Shota let out an exasperated breath as he sits down heavily.

“You said that the last three times we.. did this. I don’t understand what the problem i-”

“The problem is that we are stuck in this horrible on and off situation, Shota. I.. I can’t do it anymore..” You say, cutting him off and trying so desperately to keep your tone controlled and even.

“The only reason we’re ‘on and off’ is because you thought that being with a Pro Hero who also teaches full-time would be a walk in the fucking park, (Y/N).” Shota angrily spits, both of you still sitting with your backs facing each other.

A bitter rage floods your body and you lose the will to hold back any longer, “I never thought that, Shota! I knew it would be difficult but I was ready to put in the effort required to make it fucking work! I poured so much effort int-”

“I did, t-” Shota’s raised voice cut you off but you only let him get those couple of words out before doing the same.

“In the beginning you did, yes! But where did it go, Shota?!” You yell, turning around to face him.

“(Y/N)..” He growls out but you don’t let him get any further, once again, as everything that you’ve been trying to bury bubbles out of you.

“It’s been a year since our last date! A fucking year! All we do anymore is sleep, fuck, and go to work! I can barely remember the last meal we shared together! I fucking understood what it was that I had signed up for but it got to a point where I didn’t even feel like we were in a relationship anymore!” You continue yelling, your whole body heated from anger and tears streaming down your face.

“Y- you’re.. You’re worse than nicotine, Shota! I keep telling myself ‘one more hit and then we’re through’ but I can’t fucking stay away from you! It’s like I can constantly taste you on my lips and I can’t get rid of you! Every single day, whether I’m with or without you, fucking hurts!” Your yells crumble into choked sobs and you bury your face into your hands.

Shota is standing across from you, the bed between you both, just staring at you in silence. His eyes are the slightest bit shiny, his face is scrunched up as if he is in pain, and it’s the most emotion that you’ve seen on his face in a year. His mouth opens and closes a few times but no words come out. You compose yourself enough to look up at him with a heated glare.

“Did you even love me back the same way I loved you, Shota?” You ask bitterly. You’re met with more silence and nod your head with a dry, humorless chuckle.

“We’re done for real this time, Aizawa. Don’t fucking call me again.” You spit out as you gather the rest of your stuff and make your way out of his apartment.

You sit in your car for a few minutes screaming and choking on hard sobs over the pain of your heart shattering. “This was the last fucking time!! I fucking swear it!!”  You scream at your steering wheel, praying to any and every higher power that may be out there to give you the strength to resist getting one more fucking hit.

Nicotine | Aizawa Shota X Reader

Note ~ Someone please tell me that I am not the only one who will actively seek out angst, sometimes.. Is it healthy? Probably not. Will I continue to look for or write angst? Yes. Anyways, thank you all so much for the love! My amazing Lovelies, I love and appreciate all of you! <3

Taking Over Me | Aizawa Shota x Reader

Part One | Part Two | Part Three |

Summary ~ You have been doing this job for a very long time. Maybe since the dawn of time, but who knows? In all of that time, you never had a doubt or question about the way things were. That is, until now.. because you’re pretty sure that Protectors aren’t supposed to fall in love with those that they’re protecting.

Tags/Warnings ~ Fem!Guardian Angel!Reader, canon typical violence, character injury, angst, hurt, comfort, fluff, medium-slow burn because Shota is bad at feelings, more tags to come as the story develops..

Note ~ Hey, Lovelies! This is something that I've been working on for awhile, and am excited to share with you all! The idea was actually derived from a concept I had for an Original Story that I had started writing a long time ago! There's just something about characters falling in love with ethereal beings and vice versa that I love so much, lol! Anyway, enough of my rambles, enjoy the read, My Lovelies!

Taking Over Me | Aizawa Shota X Reader

Your kind has many names amongst the humans; Protector, Keeper, Champion, Lifesaver, Watcher, Divine Messenger, Guardian Angel, Guardian Spirit, and so on. In the many millennia you’ve existed, you’ve never had a preferred title, just settled on the most accurate term; Protector. Label or not, you simply exist and you have one job. Something that you instinctively and unconsciously perform, no matter who you’re paired with. Your only job is to steer someone away from life-threatening danger. However, it is up to the person to either acknowledge your signs or ignore them.

You’ve never questioned why you exist, why you’ve been given your role, or who was in charge of all of this. You don’t even remember how you came to exist if you were being honest. But from time to time, you do think about some peculiarities you’ve encountered over the thousands of years you’ve been doing this. One of the peculiarities you find to be more.. odd, for lack of a better word, is that of the billions of souls swimming around out there in the universe you’ve experienced repeated pairings with one of them. Though, once again, you don’t ask questions, you just do your job.

Over the last 500 years, you’ve watched over just under a hundred different souls, and that number has only been so low because you keep getting paired with one soul in particular. He’s had a different name each lifetime that he’s lived through, and his appearance changes with each new life. But you can always recognize his soul; the colors of it, the shape of it, the feelings ebbing from it, and.. the way it pulls at yours unlike any other soul has. In this new life, he has dark hair, dark eyes, and pale skin, and goes by the name Shota Aizawa.

The world that he has been born into this time intrigues you. It seems as though most humans, including Shota, are born with powers of all kinds. It fascinates and challenges you in the sense that these “Quirk-powered” humans will make your job of protecting Shota a bit harder. But despite being paired with his soul again and the impending challenge, you silently vow to do your job as best you can. Shota certainly doesn’t make things easier for you when he decides to attend a high school that helps the youth to become Heroes. You stay by his side, though, unseen to the human eye as you watch him work to become a Hero.

~~~~~~~~~~
Let it be said that while your sole purpose is to protect those you’re paired with doesn’t mean that you are some unfeeling being. Countless times have you wished so desperately that you could provide comfort to the humans you protect. Moments when they’re overwhelmed, devastated, or grief-stricken, and all you can do is watch them break apart emotionally. Sometimes, most times, it feels like their pain is your pain. Unfortunately, now is one of those times…
You’re standing beside Shota as he looks down at a pile of rubble that has crushed one of his friends. He’s clutching his bleeding arm with a devastated and traumatized look on his face. As if by reflex, you reach out to put a hand on his shoulder, but your hand phases right through him. You whisper an apology to him even though he can’t hear it, and look at the being across from you. The ethereal glow of their body flickers and dims sporadically as they gaze down at the rubble. It’s hard for you to see the look of deep sadness and guilt on a fellow Protector’s face, especially one you’ve come to know fairly well. They look up at you and the disappointment they feel in themselves is practically palpable.
“You did well… His will to save those children just happened to be stronger than his will to pay attention to your signs… You did all that you could…” You say to them in reassurance, the ethereal echo of your voice holding a certainty to it.
“Thank you…” They say before vanishing into thin air, likely pulled to the next soul they’ll be protecting.
You look back to Shota and wish that he didn’t have to experience such pain so early on in his life. A heavy feeling weighs over you as you follow him to the ambulance that he’s being led to by paramedics. You give silent nods of acknowledgment to other Protectors when you cross their paths. You try your best to offer reassurance to dejected-looking Protectors whenever you notice them lingering. When the day is over, and Shota is curled up on a bed trying to deal with his emotions, you almost dread what the future may hold for this lifetime.
~~~~~~~~~~

Years pass by, and you watch Shota shape into an amazing Hero and person. You feel some relief when Shota accepts a teaching position at the same school he graduated from. You hope that maybe he would mostly stay out of trouble being a teacher versus being a Hero full-time. It wouldn’t be a lie to say that this lifetime has been really making you put in the work toward keeping Shota safe.

School year after school year, you watch Shota intimidate his students and make drastic decisions geared toward helping them realize the path they’ve chosen to pursue. It can be said that his methods are harsh, but you know that he is just trying to help them understand the realities of becoming a Hero. Oftentimes, you think back to the day he lost his friend, and it feels as though you are the only one to see his reasoning.

The day you walk into the classroom for Class 1-A behind Shota, you are interested in what he has planned for this new group of students. The year prior he expelled his entire class, which had even thrown you off a bit. As he gives his introduction, you scan the small sea of students and their Protectors. Most of the Protectors appear neutral, almost laid back for the moment, but a few catch your attention.

The Protector standing near a boy with a scar on his face seems to be wilted, their helplessness almost making their ethereal glow dim to nothing. The Protector to the left of a boy with green hair appears to be harshly glaring at the blonde boy in front of the green-haired child. Meanwhile, the spiky-haired blonde boy’s Protector seems to be exhausted, and from the aura the boy gives off, you wonder if the exhaustion is from protecting him or just observing him. Lastly, the Protector standing near the blonde boy seated closest to the door is rather.. shifty, like they’re nervous. Their gaze keeps darting around the room to look at the other Protectors, then back down to the boy they are paired with.

You understand that as children, none of the students really pose any threat to Shota, but you find that it’s still best to be on higher alert if a human’s Protector is acting strangely. Especially in this lifetime and with all of the many Quirks you’ve seen from being by Shota’s side. You’d much rather err on the side of caution than ignore a potential threat.

By the end of the first day, you’re quite surprised that Shota only expelled one student this year. The short boy seemed quite upset when he learned of his expulsion, but his Protector seemed to have slumped with relief. It made you wonder just what that Protector had observed of the boy throughout his life. Regardless, seeing the posture of the Protectors near each of the female students ease at the news of the boy’s expulsion was enough for you to agree with Shota’s decision.

The second day doesn’t go as smoothly as you or Shota had hoped. Shota wasn’t in any danger, thankfully, he just slept peacefully in the teacher’s lounge while a Hero called All Might took over the class. When Shota was awoken by his phone ringing, it was Recovery Girl informing him that one of his students was very injured during the battle training All Might was supervising. You could practically feel Shota’s worry and anger as you followed behind him as he made his way to the infirmary.

After watching Shota give All Might a stern talking-to for letting the students go that far during training, you followed him back to his classroom. You listened idly by as he announced that he would be taking the class on a trip to a facility called the USJ in a couple of days. Most of the students cheered and voiced their excitement over going on a field trip, but Shota was quick to quiet them. He made it clear to the class that it wasn’t going to be a leisurely trip, but another means of Hero training. With most of the class deflated down into more of a serious state, he dismissed them for the day.

~~~~~~~~~~
The day of the trip arrives without much fanfare, and you stay dutifully by Shota’s side as he leans back against the seat of the bus and naps. Vehicles such as buses were always an interesting environment to be in as a Protector. Looking over your shoulder at the rows of seated students, you see each of their Protectors lining the middle aisle. While your kind doesn’t really exist on the same plane of existence as humans, your ethereal bodies are comparable to what humans call ghosts, you still prefer not to be phasing in and out of a human body.
As the bus slows to a stop, Shota awakens and stands to face the class. He tells them to be on their best behavior and to focus on learning all that they can today. You make your way off of the bus with Shota leading the way and his students following behind. You and Shota walk up to the doors of the USJ, joining up with another Hero dressed in a spacesuit.
The spacesuit Hero, Thirteen, cheerfully greets the students and then begins explaining the purpose of the USJ. They get serious while explaining that there are a lot of dangerous Quirks out in the world that have the potential to be deadly before showing and explaining their own Quirk. Your gaze sweeps over the students, and you find that most of their Protectors are absentmindedly nodding and checking to see if their humans understand the warning being given.
Soon enough, Thirteen pushes the doors to the USJ open, leading Shota and his students into the facility. The students audibly marvel at the inside of the USJ and its different disaster zones. Thirteen gets into explaining what the different zones are and the unique difficulties that come with each zone. When they finish, they look to Shota and he nods at them before beginning to tell the students who would be in which zone. Shota gets interrupted by a red-haired student, their Protector pointing to something behind you and Shota. When you turn around to see what the Protector is pointing at, your intuition and protective instincts flare to max levels.
A massive portal has opened up down in the center plaza of the USJ and sketchy-looking humans have begun pouring out. You hear Shota identify them as villains and you gear yourself up for the fighting he will inevitably engage in. As expected, Shota yells for the students to stay with Thirteen and rushes into battle. You follow closely behind him, confident in his fighting abilities and quick reflexes.. But, you know that even if he isn’t aware of your existence or the parameters of your job, he does rely on you to watch his back.
Being a Hero’s Protector is no easy feat since villains have their own Protectors. Your kind have a job to do, no matter the human you are paired with. A villain’s Protector will protect them just as fiercely as a Hero’s. That said, since being Shota’s Protector in this lifetime, you’ve worked harder to become faster at alerting Shota to danger. More often than not, you can get Shota’s attention and help him to strike before a villain’s Protector can warn them.
As Shota is taking down villain after villain, you take a brief moment to look toward three unmoving villains. The one with multiple severed hands clutching his body scratches at his neck wildly as his Protector stands near him. You notice something strange about the other two near the Hand Villain, though.. While they both seem to be alive, neither of them has a Protector within sight. It’s unusual for your kind to stray very far from the human they are paired with, so not seeing a Protector right next to either villain is very abnormal.
In your momentary distraction, Shota takes down two more thugs and is rushed by the Hand Villain. Disappointment, in yourself, floods you as you watch Shota blink and his Quirk deactivate. The Hand Villain monologues as the spot where his hand is on Shota’s elbow begins to crack and flake away until the muscle underneath is showing. Shota reactivates his Quirk and breaks away from the Hand Villain, but his groans of pain echo in your mind. Berating yourself for being so careless, you stick closer to his side as more low-level thugs surround him.
The Hand Villain continues his annoying chatter as Shota, tired and worn out as he is, fights off the thugs using his good arm. His elbow looks bad, and you feel like you’ve failed him. You work harder to give him every sign and warning possible to take down the thugs relentlessly rushing him. Difficult as it is with one arm, Shota succeeds and turns to face the Hand Villain, putting you both back to back. Horror fills you along with the urgent and intense need to warn Shota, but with the state he’s in, he misses sign after sign that you send his way. He doesn’t notice the hulking beast behind him until the Hand Villain says something.
Despair like nothing you’ve ever felt before fills you as you watch the monstrous creature beat Shota down like he’s nothing but a small bug under someone’s boot. You scream, but the echoing ethereal sound only catches the attention of other Protectors around you. You flinch every time you hear the snapping of bone and cry of pain. The ethereal glow of your body dims from the feeling of failure filling you, and when the merciless creature slams Shota’s face into the ground you think only one thought…
‘Shota is going to die today…’
Falling to your knees next to Shota, you’re gaze is too focused on the growing puddle of blood on the ground to realize that the monster leaves Shota to defend the Hand Villain. Apologies spill from your lips over and over again as you continue looking at his limp and broken form. You can feel that he is dying and for some reason, it causes you immense pain. It’s a pain unlike anything you’ve ever felt before with any other soul, or during any of his other lifetimes. Everything else going on near or around you becomes irrelevant as you place a hand on Shota’s head, your touch light enough to not phase through him.
You startle when you feel the touch of a hand on each of your shoulders and looking up, you find a Protector on either side of you. You also notice that three of Shota’s students, the green-haired boy, the girl with the frog Quirk, and the boy with the tape Quirk, are carefully lifting him. The three students’ Protectors help you up off of your knees and walk with you when the students start moving toward the entrance of the USJ.
“Fret not, he may still have a chance…”
“You did all that you could…”
“His will was to protect those students, and you helped him achieve that…”
The echoing ethereal tones of the three Protectors walking with you fill your ears, but you find it difficult to take comfort in their words. Words that you’ve said to so many others before. Words that you’ve found comfort within before when you were feeling far less pain than you are right now. You can’t find it in yourself to respond to the other Protectors, so you just continue to walk in solemn silence.
At some point, the green-haired boy and his Protector break away to head back to the fight, leaving the other two students to carry Shota to the entrance. When they finally get up the steps and rejoin the small group of other students, they carefully lay Shota’s body down next to Thirteen who also seems to be injured greatly. You gaze down at Shota numbly, unable to comprehend why you feel so.. broken.
“What the hell is going on..?”
You startle as a sudden presence from beside you speaks. Recognizing the voice, your head whips to the side in complete shock. Standing there right next to you is Shota, looking far more translucent than he usually does. You just stare at him in shock and disbelief, your mouth agape and eyes blinking owlishly.
“Who the hell are you? Is this some kind of Quirk? Are you one of the villains?” Shota asks, his tone is demanding and quite confused, not that you blame him.
“Y-you.. you can see me?…” You ask, disbelief and confusion coloring your ethereal voice. Now, at this moment, in this lifetime, you have so many questions as you also wonder what the hell is going on.
“Uhm.. yeah. I can see you.” Shota says with uncharacteristic uncertainty. Apparently deeming you non-threatening, his posture deflates into resignation as his gaze sweeps across his students, “So.. are you here to take me wherever it is dead people go?”
Sadness creeps back into you and you look back down at his broken body, shaking your head, “No, I.. I only protect… Escorting the dead is not part of the job…”
“Protect?” Shota questions quietly as he looks back at you. “What, like a.. Guardian Angel?” The skeptical tone in Shota’s voice makes the corners of your mouth tick up ever so slightly because even though he is quite literally dying, of course, he is trying to be rational right now.
You meet his eyes with a slightly amused look in yours, “You humans have many names for my kind, ‘Guardian Angel’ is one of them… Many are like me; uncaring of what we are called, just here to do our job…”
Shota still looks skeptical, but he nods his head, “Does this normally happen when a person dies? We get to meet our.. Guardian Angels before we move onto whatever afterlife is out there?”
You shake your head and look back down at his body, “This has never happened to me before… We are not meant to be seen by humans, dead or alive.. and technically, you are not dead… Your body is struggling, but you are still alive…”
You pause for a moment as the weight of your failure falls back over your shoulders, almost tenfold. You speak again before Shota has the chance, your tone heavy with sadness, “I am so sorry, Shota… I should have done more to keep you safe… It is my fault that you are in this position… I failed you…”
Silence hangs between you both as you watch paramedics move Shota’s body onto a stretcher. They spend a few moments wrapping his injuries with makeshift bandages and attaching various equipment to him. When they begin moving him to an ambulance, you step forward to follow but are stopped when you feel a warm hand on your shoulder. It’s different than the cold feeling of another Protector’s touch and stops you in your tracks. You turn slightly, your wide eyes meeting Shota’s uncharacteristically soft ones.
“You.. I’d like to think that you did your best to protect me, and whatever happens to me.. just know that I don’t blame you.” Shota’s gentle tone catches you off guard and also strikes something deep within you. The most you can muster is a shaky nod before you both begin to head for the ambulance his body was taken to.
Taking Over Me | Aizawa Shota X Reader
You sit at the end of Shota’s hospital bed watching him sleep. It wasn’t long after arriving at the hospital that his translucent figure flickered harshly, then vanished. Much to your relief, his ghostly apparition’s disappearance only meant that his soul firmly planted itself back into his body. But sitting cross-legged at his feet, your eyes tracing the bandages covering his face, you still feel such a strong sense of failure. Along with the failure is a new, unfamiliar feeling.. loneliness.
The day passed with Shota stuck in a deep, medication-induced slumber. Doctors and nurses came in and out of the room to check on him. At one point, Hizashi came by to sit at Shota’s bedside and quietly cry for a bit. You had spoken some with his Protector, the being feeling it necessary to commend you on all of your efforts to keep Shota safe during the attack. Despite your feelings on the matter, you thanked the other Protector for their kind words. When Hizashi was told that he had to leave for the night, his Protector bid you farewell and you nodded your head to them as they left.
The hours tick by slower than you’ve ever felt before, but soon enough light from the full moon outside casts a wondrous glow in the room. You marvel at it as you sometimes do since beings such as yourself don’t require sleep. After a while, the feeling of being watched pulls your attention from the window. You look first toward the door, wondering if a nurse and their Protector had somehow sneaked into the room. Seeing no other being, you slowly turn your gaze to Shota’s face, eyes widening as they meet his partially opened ones.
“Do you sit at my feet like a cat every night?” He asks, his voice barely above a whisper as he continues looking at you with lidded eyes. A cross between a scoff and a bewildered laugh leaves your mouth. You choose to ignore your confusion, obviously something about this lifetime is different, even if you don’t know what or why.
“I do not… Oftentimes, I stand at a window and observe the night… I can move if you are uncomfortable with my current position…” You offer, already preparing to stand.
“No… The static feeling of your presence is.. nice.” He whispers as his eyes slip shut, his breathing deepening to the usual cadence it takes when he’s asleep.
‘He.. he can feel my presence..?’ You ask yourself as you sit in silent shock. You shift back into your original position and wish that there was someone or some other being you could hurl all of your questions at.
~~~~~~~~~~

Both you and Hizashi’s Protector stand near the window as the two humans talk. Hizashi had arrived earlier this morning just before Shota woke up, so you didn’t have the chance to test if he could truly still see and talk to you. You now find the test unnecessary with Shota’s eyes occasionally drifting in your direction every now and then. By the nth time Shota’s dark eyes meet yours, you’ve had enough of your fellow Protector’s questioning looks.

“I am just as confused as you are…” You tell them, pulling your eyes from Shota’s to look at the Protector you’ve known for a good fifteen years by now.

“So, he can see you…” Akari states rather than asks, and you nod your head.

“When he.. when he was dying yesterday.. his soul separated from his body and we were able to talk to one another… I do not understand why.. and when he was brought here, and his soul re-bound itself to his body, he was still able to see and talk to me… The whole situation has left me truly.. puzzled…” You explain, finding it a struggle to get the words “he was dying” out of your mouth. The guilt and shame that you’ve had to repeatedly shove down worming their way back to the surface along with your confusion.

“That is quite peculiar… Is.. is this your first pairing with his soul?…” Akari’s hesitant question catches you off guard, and you look at them with a stunned expression.

“N-no, but.. have you had repeats as well?…” You whisper, desperate to know if this sort of thing has happened to any other Protector. It’s Akari’s turn to look stunned, and a look of relief washes over their features.

They cast a glance over at Hizashi before looking back to you with a small smile, “Only with Hizashi’s soul… This is my third lifetime as his Protector…”

Akari’s admission draws a gasp from your mouth, and you can’t help but feel relieved that another one of your kind knows some of what you’re going through. Feeling Shota’s eyes on you, you turn to meet his questioning gaze. You shake your head slightly, silently telling him that you’ll talk with him later. He stares at you for another moment before looking back toward Hizashi.

“This is my fourth lifetime as Shota’s Protector… I was beginning to think I was the only one experiencing this.. and I never felt the need to ask any other Protector about it… I simply figured that it was just part of the job…” Akari nods their head in relation to your words and casts another glance at Hizashi.

“What do you think is the reasoning for it?…” They quietly ask, as if voicing their question any louder would make everything fall away and send them off to another pairing.

Your own gaze wanders to Shota, a small smile pulling at your lips at his feigned annoyance over whatever Hizashi said, “I am not quite sure.. but whatever the reason may be.. I am just happy to be Shota’s Protector…”

~~~~~~~~~~
It’s early evening when Hizashi takes his leave, promising to come back tomorrow morning to pick up Shota when he’s discharged. You gaze out the window as a nurse comes into Shota’s room and feeds him dinner. With his arms in casts, the nurse has to actually feed him and now that he can see you, you figure that you won’t hurt his dignity more by watching him be fed. It’s only when you hear the door close behind the nurse that you make your way back to his bedside.
Shota eyes you for a moment before carefully leaning his head back on the pillow and closing his eyes with a tired sigh, “You can sit down if you’d like.”
Wordlessly, you accept the invitation and sit cross-legged on the spot where he had made space for you at the end of his bed. Absentmindedly, your eyes trace the paths of his bandages like you’ve done a hundred times over since he’s been in the hospital. Sensing your eyes on him, Shota opens his and studies you for a moment or two.
“Stop it.” He demands in a firm yet gentle tone, and your gaze pulls from his bandages to meet his stern one.
“What?…” You question, slightly confused, and he lets out another sigh.
“Stop beating yourself up.” He clarifies before continuing, “You did more than enough to protect me back at the USJ. I put myself in this bed. Not you. Me.”
Biting your lip, you search Shota’s eyes for the blame you feel you deserve, but all you find is the firm resolve that was in his tone, “If.. if you insist…” You relent quietly, a bit of doubt still laced in your tone. Taking what he can get, Shota lets the matter go for now and chooses to move the conversation along.
“Earlier, when Hizashi was here, I assume you were talking to his..” Shota pauses to think about what to call you and your kind.
“The term ‘Protector’ works just fine, Shota… Most of us refer to each other as such, anyway…” You provide with a small smile, appreciating his effort to call your kind by the “correct” name.
“Okay, then.. You were talking to his Protector? I couldn’t see or hear them like I can with you, but I figured you weren’t just talking to yourself.” Shota’s voice holds the same tired, stoic tone you’ve come to know over the last thirty years, but you can see the curiosity in his eyes.
“And, if I was talking to myself?… What then, human?…” You tease with a playful smile, and you can tell by the small, amused huff that Shota lets through his nose that he’s hiding a small smirk underneath his bandages.
“Then I would assume that we both have brain damage,” he jokes, albeit dryly, but you’ve always found humor in his brand of comedy.
Your giggle gives an ethereal echo and you shake your head at him, “Their name is Akari… I suppose they could be considered a friend… At the very least, they are somewhat of a coworker to me by human standards… I have interacted with them quite a bit since you became friends with Hizashi… They informed me earlier today that they seem to be in almost the same situation as I…”
Shota gives a slightly surprised and intrigued look before an almost dismayed sigh leaves his mouth, “I can’t believe I haven’t thought to ask until now… What’s your name?”
A small, amused laugh passes through your lips, “Considering that you were not even supposed to know of my existence, it is quite alright… Most of us do not have names and some will choose a different name for themselves with every new pairing… The name I have chosen for myself is Y/N…” You inform him before giving your name with a warm smile on your face.
Shota repeats your name quietly to himself as if testing it on his tongue, and something about hearing him say it makes you feel warm inside. Your mind doesn’t have time to question the feeling when he speaks again, “So, what is this ‘situation’ that you mentioned?”
You find yourself hesitating for a moment, trying to figure out how to explain the whole thing to a man who lives almost religiously by logic and rationality. You suppose that since he took to finding out about your existence so well maybe your next words won’t sound completely.. insane.
“Let us start with how long I have been protecting souls…” You begin gently, hoping that he can manage to put aside whatever his beliefs or disbeliefs are about concepts beyond the human plane of existence.
Once you’ve finished explaining your entire confusing and strange situation, a long silence follows. The look in Shota’s eyes is hard for you to read as he stares down at his lap, so you’re not sure what he could possibly be thinking. Feeling like you’ve finally pushed him over the edge of thinking he has truly lost it, you silently stand and move toward the window. You watch the sun slowly dip below the horizon as the silence continues. You hear movement behind you and your intuition spikes causing you to whip around to see Shota slowly standing up from the bed.
“What are you doing?… You should be resting still, Shota…” Your confused and concerned words do nothing to stop Shota from shuffling his way to your side. When he gets to the window sill, he leans lightly against the wall and gazes outside for a few moments before looking at you.
“Let me get the facts straight,” he starts, quietly. “You’ve been protecting people for thousands of years, without the need for reason. In all that time, you never protected the same person more than once until me. You also believed that you were the only one experiencing this until your talk with Hizashi’s Protector. Even so, you still don’t know why this is happening. Does that about sum everything up?”
‘He doesn’t sound like someone who believes they should be locked in the psych ward…’ You think with a hesitant smile before speaking, “I believe so… Listen, Shota.. I know how all of this may sound to a human… You are probably still wrapping your head around my very existence and being able to see me… But I.. I feel just as confused and disbelieving as you do…” Your smile falls as you speak, your expression and tone something of uncertainty as you turn to gaze back out the window.
Shota sighs as he steps away from the wall and comes to stand right up against your ethereally glowing body, your shoulder phasing slightly through his as he follows your gaze out the window, “It is a lot to try to understand, but living in a world where humans are born with superpowers.. it wouldn’t be too far of a stretch to believe in other forces at work out there in the universe.”
You turn your head to look at him in shock before a small huff of a laugh slips past your lips, “I have gotten to know your soul pretty well over the last five hundred years, Shota.. gotten to know that no matter the lifetime, who you are does not change like your name or appearance does… So, I am surprised that you are being so open-minded about this… You never were one for ideals like religion or higher powers or unseen beings… So, where has the real Shota gone?…”
Shota lets out a small, quiet chuckle at your slightly teasing tone, and turns his head slightly to meet your eyes, “I’m actually pretty open-minded when it comes to a lot of subjects. I just find that my time is better well spent focusing on what’s tangible in this world rather than what hasn’t even been proven to exist, that’s all.” He retorts in a tired tone that doesn’t match the teasing glint in his eye.
You playfully roll your eyes with a soft giggle before giving a small shake of your head, “Ah, I see… Well, all teasing aside, our situation may be odd but at least now I can warn you of danger easier… Though, I will try not to be a nuisance…”
Shota lets out a quiet huff as he turns to start walking back to the bed, “Don’t worry about being a nuisance. Between being Class 1-A’s teacher and being a Pro, seeing and hearing you will be significantly more helpful in tough situations.” He says as he carefully gets onto the bed, a quiet groan leaving him as he lays back.
You let out a quiet and affirmative hum as you follow behind him, then take a seat at the end of the bed by his feet when he makes space for you. You watch as he gets as comfortable as anyone could get with injuries like his when his eyes meet yours. You silently question the embarrassed scowl he’s shooting you until the realization hits you. You mumble an apology before quickly shifting your gaze to the window. Among the many little habits you’ll have to break now that he can see and hear you, just watching him for the sake of observing him is going to be the first.. and the hardest.
~~~~~~~~~~

The next day, Hizashi bursts into Shota’s room sputtering apologies for being twenty minutes late picking him up. Shota just brushes him off with a grumble of feigned annoyance while you and Akari giggle quietly to yourselves. A nurse comes in shortly after Hizashi’s arrival, pushing a wheelchair up to the side of Shota’s bed. Shota immediately begins protesting having to be wheeled out to Hizashi’s car, insisting that he can walk just fine.

“I know I said I would not be a nuisance, but listen to the nurse, please Shota…” You say a bit firmly as the timid nurse tries explaining to Shota the hospital’s policies.

With an irritated huff, Shota reluctantly moves from the bed to the wheelchair, grumbling slightly under his breath. You smother a giggle as you take in Hizashi’s shocked expression, the blonde clearing having expected more of a fight from Shota. However, the giggle slips free some when you catch the brief glare thrown your way from Shota as the nurse pushes him out of the room.

Hizashi stopped by UA so that Shota could talk to Nezu and go by Recovery Girl’s office. Despite the insistence from Nezu, Hizashi, and yourself to take off a few more days, Shota firmly stated that he would be returning to work the next day when classes resumed. During the walk to the infirmary, you couldn’t help the displeased feeling that had settled over you from Shota’s stubbornness. As a Protector, it’s normal to disagree with decisions that could impact the well-being of the human one is paired with, but this felt like.. more than that. Sighing to yourself, you choose to not overthink your feelings so as to not add more confusion to your already puzzling situation.

You and Akari stood by the window of the patient room while Recovery Girl examined Shota’s injuries. Luckily, she determined it safe enough to use her Quirk on Shota, even if it didn’t heal Shota as much as he may have wanted it to. By the time it was said and done, he was still bandaged up like a mummy, but at least his casts were able to be redone so that he could use his fingers. As you and Akari silently followed your humans to Hizashi’s car, you still hadn’t been able to shake your displeasure.

Finally getting back to Shota’s apartment, you stood behind him as he deflected every one of Hizashi’s attempts to stay and help. A bit dejectedly, Hizashi bid Shota goodbye, while you just silently nodded at Akari, still mostly lost in your thoughts. Once Shota shut the door with a tired sigh, you wordlessly made your way to the dining room window. It’s one of your favorite spots in the apartment with its view overlooking the city.

“Are you going to be silent and brooding for the rest of the day?” Shota asks, his tone is tired and slightly irritated as you hear his socked feet shuffle toward the kitchen. You feel a mixture of emotions as you tamper down a spike of irritation, your confusion over your situation only increasing.

“You should eat, then get some more rest since you insist on returning to work tomorrow…” You say in an even tone as you continue gazing out the window. You realize that your wording most likely comes across as petty, and maybe you want it to since he ignored you back in Nezu’s office. You hear Shota open the refrigerator and let out an irritated sigh, rummaging around for a moment before letting the door close a bit harder than necessary. You turn around to face him at the sound of condiments and jars inside the refrigerator knocking around.

“My students need to see that I’m okay. What they went through was terrifying, even for Pros like myself. None of them deserved to experience a villain attack like that before their careers have even started to begin. It’s my responsibility to be their face of strength-” Shota angrily defends his decision, most likely easily riled up from pain and exhaustion, but it only serves to irritate you more and cut him off.

“I understand that, but it is my responsibility to make sure no harm comes to you, even if the threat to your well-being comes from you… You need more time to recover, Shota… You are not ready to return to work in your condi-” You say firmly trying to maintain an aura of calm until he cuts you off.

“But in the end, it’s my decision! Your job is to silently protect me when it is necessary. I’ve made it through the last thirty years of decision-making based on my own judgment just fine, Y/N. Me being able to see and hear you now doesn’t change that.” Shota snaps, and you can’t help but feel taken aback and.. hurt. There are a couple moments of tense silence broken only by the sound of Shota taking a few deep breaths.

Your mind is once again reeling from how deeply you feel your emotions, but outwardly you straighten up and slip into emotionless professionalism, “You are correct… I apologize for overstepping, it will not happen again…” You state before turning back toward the window, ignoring the pain in your chest. You can feel Shota’s eyes on you, but neither of you says anything more, not even when the ethereal glow of your body flickers and dims a bit.

eye for an eye

@princeasimdiya12 ;; can you write a oneshot featuring Aizawa and a male reader in an Aladdin AU please? I imagine Aizawa as a street rat and the reader as an innkeeper who offers hospitality and protection to Aizawa to keep him safe from the guards. What do you think?

Eye For An Eye

a/n ;; mhahah I love this very much. aizawa is very street rat pls be kind I am new to writing

Its very dangerous working as an innkeeper, but you had nothing to worry about,

“Hello mr. Do you think I could get a room? Just for one night.” a shaggy looking man walks through your doors. He has black hair that obviously hasn't been combed in days, and a scarf wrapped around his mouth so you cant see his whole face. You nod at him, grabbing a key from your wall and handing it to him.

“Thanks, how much?” He pulls out a torn up coin pouch. “Don’t worry about it, unless you're wanted.” he looks at you, ‘i don't think he got it…’ “im joking. Go on up” he looks at you very surprised, before grabbing the key off your desk and walking up the stairs.

‘What an odd guy’ Aizawa thinks, the inn's halls are empty, the only sound in them is his feet hitting the ground. The key says ‘room 104’.

He passed it? The door closest to him says ‘room 106’ so two doors the other way, so he turns.

‘Room 103’ …what? So if it's not next to 103, where is it?

‘Maybe ill go ask the keeper.’ he returns downstairs and sees the boy talking to another person, he's laughing with her, making jokes.

‘Oh no…not her…’ Aizawa quickly turns around, but he's too late, she's seen him.

“Oh my gosh! Shouta, is that you??” Emi, aka the singer Ms. Joke runs up to him. “Nope not him, but you really shouldn't call him by his first name, he doesn't like that” he turns his face away from the girl next to him. Emi laughs loudly before the innkeeper speaks up “you too know each other?” he asks from his desk “of course!! Shouta is one of my closest friends, besides you!”

Emi forcefully turns Aizawa around and his scarf falls off his face. “Hey I know you, you’re wanted by the palace guards.” you point out, his face goes pale. “Uh, you must have the wrong person…?” Aizawa pulls his scarf back over his nose, “don't worry i wont turn you in no matter how big the bounty!!” the innkeeper laughs.

Aizawa stands there, emis arm wrapped around his neck, this handsome guy in front of him who wasn't gonna turn him in?

“I'll repay you somehow.” he lets the scarf fall again.

“Dont worry about it”

“Ooooo flirting” Emi says and you laugh

“My names y/n by the way, nice to meet you” he puts out a hand waiting for Aizawa to put his hand out.

He puts his left hand out and suddenly remembers why he came down there

“Oh! I got lost” he says, showing the room 104 key.

 ”Really, how?” he tilts his head, grabbing the key and looking at it. “Oh! That's why, follow me.”

They both walk up stairs “when this place was made, they made two 103 rooms” he points to the room across from them “so this one is the hidden 104 room” he unlocks the doors and holds it for him, “enjoy your stay, Aizawa.” The shaggy man walks into the room and looks around.

The room was nice, the walls were made out of wood, and there was a bay window with knitted pillows on it. The lamps on the walls gave a nice warm color to the room.

And the bed looked heavenly.

The sheets were washed and wrinkled, they smelt like coconuts.

“If you need anything,” Aizawa turns around, and the innkeeper continues “don't be afraid to ask” he nods and the man leaves the room.

...

Aizawa x Reader

You're both married for 4 years now and had been trying hard to have a baby, but somehow you always lead to a miscarriage. It went on and on but Aizawa promised to stay by your side and be patient with it. A miracle did happen though. You were pregnant and so after waiting for a month, you decided to suprise him during dinner on your anniversary. But you never knew he had a big suprise for you too.

cw: miscarriage, mentions of miscarriage, bad language(? idk this shit long) etc.

a/n: ik yall didn't ask for this and prolly sm1 is waiting for the dabi x reader but haha look what I wrote:'D anyways enjoyy!

btw this is not edited I'm so sorry for typos and shits.

Aizawa X Reader

You and Aizawa have been trying for a baby for quite some time now after getting married for 4 years, although; everytime you tested positive on a pregnancy test it doesn't last long for more than a week or month. It was hard for the first time it happened, but after two or three attempts later, your body just couldn't handle it.

Aizawa started to become distant for the past few months and it started to worry you. The both of you still tried to form a baby, but it just won't happen.

But I guess miracles do happen. You stood by the bathroom sink staring at the positive test in your hand, hoping that this little miracle growing in you would stay.

It was a month after that day and you still haven't told Aizawa, scared that you might lose it again after a few weeks and would just build up expectations just for you to lose it again. You thought that maybe you could wait for a month to make sure the baby stays, and it did.

Tonight was your anniversary, it has been officially 4 years since you guys were married and you decided to announce your pregnancy to him as a surprise. Aizawa has been burying himself with work the past weeks and months, you thought that if you now break the news to him that he'll be by your side again.

You were at the dinner table full of food that you've cooked for this special night and had worn a simple dress, you were waiting for him to get home. As you continued to set the table you heard the door click open and shut, looking up you saw him clad in a white dress shirt, black pants and his tie was hanging on his arm same with his coat.

You smiled softly at him as you walked towards him, "Welcome home, sho." you greeted as you took his coat and tie from him. He looked at you and smiled as he looked at the dinner table with all the food you've cooked. "What's all this?" he asked walking towards it and putting his bag on the couch. "I thought that it'll be great to have dinner here at home for our anniversary, and I have something to say too" you smiled as you placed his coat on the couch neatly. His back was facing you and you didn't noticed his smile fade away with a sigh. "I have to tell you something as well" he said as he turned to you. You walked up to him and patted his back. "well tell that later while we eat, I'm starving" you whined as you sat on the table, he nodded and took a seat in front of you.

As you were eating almost finishing up the food, you looked up to him and asked "You were going to say something, sho?" you said as you chewed your food. He looked at you for a moment "No, you go first" he offered as he finished his food. You shook your head before taking a drink of your water also finished with your food. "No no, I think yours is much more exciting than mine." you said as you patted your mouth using a tissue while smiling. He sighed knowing best to not argue with you, looking down he said "Let's get divorced, I got someone pregnant." He moved his head away from your gaze as your eyes widened. "What?" you asked almost a whisper, his head turned to you and looked straight into your eyes. "I was cheating on you for the past few months, didn't you even noticed? I was that desperate of having a child we- you couldn't have or last. You know how much I wanted one and you could even try and keep one?!" He said his voice raising a little at the last part. You were speechless, "I thought you said you'd wait? I thought you said you would be patient with it? You know I also want to have one and been trying to keep one. I'm also suffering Shota, don't you see that?" you said as you looked at him with tears threatening to leave your eyes. He shook his head as he stood up. "Well I can't be patient enough, when our last doctor said that you could pass as infertile. The papers are already signed, just get out the house before I come back. And I want those papers signed too" he said as he walking towards the door. You stood up quickly calling for him "Where are you going?" you asked desperately, he turned his head to you as he reached the door, a hand on the knob. "To the woman who's carrying my child. Goodbye l/n." He said as he walked out the door shutting it behind him.

"But, I'm the woman who's carrying your child.." you whispered as tears finally rolled down your eyes.

xxxxxxxxxx

You had the divorce papers signed and had your bags packed. It was early in the morning and he would be coming home any moment now, you had taken and packed all of the pictures and memories the both of you had made leaving the house you two once lived in a blank house.

You were going to stay with your family friend until you find a job and an apartment to live in, still doesn't know how you'll sustain a good health for your growing child.

-Aizawa's Pov

As I got home, I had Akira, the mother of my Child to live with me. Me and her entered the house, and as I looked around making sure she left already I couldn't help but noticed how every picture and memories we had framed was gone. Well at least that's one problem out of the way. I welcomed Akira with a smile and told her to feel at home and unpack her bags in the masters bedroom- the bedroom me and y/n used to sleep in. But I didn't mind, I already have the woman that would give me a child- the child y/n could never give. I'll finally have a family.

~~~~~~~~~~~
A few months had passed and Akira was 3 months pregnant when she miscarried. They were fighting over something when she started bleeding making both of them panicked. Aizawa quickly rushed her to the hospital, scared that he might lose yet another child. After a few minutes of waiting the doctor finally went out of the room and stood next to a sitting aizawa. He noticed and quickly stood up "How's my girlfriend? Is she alright? Is the baby alright?" he asked his voice in a panicked tone, the doctor looked at him and smiled.
"Your girlfriend is alright Aizawa-san" she reassured, but her smiled dropping "though, due to stress she had lost the baby." she said as she patted him on the shoulder. His eyes widened feeling the deja vu of the night you lost your first baby. He began to shook his head muttering out 'no's' as he sat on the waiting chair with his hands gripping on his hair. The doctor carresed his back in comfort as she took the leave. He stood up a few minutes later and entered her room, smiling softly at her. She had been crying by the redness of her eyes as she apologized to him "It's okay, we'll try and try again alright? We'll be patient with this, we'll go through this together."
He said as he kissed her head holding her hand, his words echoed through his mind. Those were the same words he had told you the night you lost your first child. But he shook the memory away.
xxxxxxxxxxx
A year and a half has passed and the same thing repeated again and again. He was growing tired and was starting to think that he was the problem. Hizashi, Nemuri and Toshinori had asked him if he wanted to join them for lunch on a restaurant near by for lunch and he agreed.
They were seating in a booth, Hizashi and Nemuri was in front of him and Toshinori was right next to him by the windows. Behind them was the counter, and as they were talking hizashi perked up upon seeing someone behind him. "Yo Y/n!" he yelled bringing his hand up in a wave, he choked on his drink upon hearing the name. Hizashi turned to the three "looked she brought Yuki with her" he smiled as he pointed. Nemuri smiled as well "I missed that kid, was a real pain in the ass when we last visited." she sighed and toshinori agreed beside him. He was confused, what child? Did you adopt? A nephew maybe? He sighed to himself shaking his head as he remembered he was not supposed to be concerned about your life anymore since the both of you were divorced for a year now.
Suddenly a child, probably not older than one waddled slowly to hizashi. As hizashi saw the child he picked him up and placed him on his lap. "Hey little man!" he said as he bounced the baby on his lap, nemuri reaching out to the baby and pinching his cheeks. Aizawa observed the child and noticed that the child- Yuki as yamada mentioned, had a thick(for a one year old he thought) black hair almost close to his and was wearing a small denim jumper and had chubby cheeks, his eyes was the same colors as y/n's and some features was almost like his. His observations was cut off as someone stood at their table, looking up he saw y/n, her hair had grew out from the past short hair she had since he last saw her. She smiled at Yuki patting his head. "Little guy missed you two" she smiled at them.
And as aizawa looked between Yuki and Y/n he started counting the months since that night of your anniversary. It has been a year and few months, looking at Yuki he looked to be almost a year and a few months. He remembered that you never got to tell him your 'suprise' that night, was this your suprise? Was Yuki your suprise to him that night? What happened to after you left? How did you managed to be alone? Thoughts ran to his mind as she spaced out. What really did happened to you after that?
-Y/n Pov(after that night)
A few weeks had passed and you were leaving the hospital after a weekly check up when you stumbled upon the trio- hizashi, nemuri and toshinori. The three was walking around and saw you and decided to invite you to lunch with them. You agreed, and when the three were asking how were things with your ex husband, you just dropped the news to them. They were shocked at how careless aizawa was and said that they'll support you through the pregnancy. You smiled happily to them knowing that you may lost your husband, but you still had wonderful and supportive friends with you.
A few months had passed and they stood by their word, helping you through cramps, morning sickness and even your weird cravings, they were with you when you learnt about the gender and was so happy when they found out it was a boy. Your due date was coming up and the three decided to put you in the hospital until you gave birth, nemuri was with you in the hospital room when your water broke and had stayed with you through the birth.
xxxxxxxxxx
After a few hours the baby was cleaned and gently placed on your chest as he slept. The name you chose- Yuki, was one of the names you and aizawa thought of on the day you first got pregnant. The three was pleased that your mood swings was finally over, but now they had to take care of a mini you now(they love it).
A year had passed since that day, and they took care of Yuki from time to time, taking turns whenever you need a break. A lot of memories was made with just the four of you and Yuki, his first step and his first words(it was dada and hizashi was laughing his ass off when it happened). You were great full for them, but you always wondered about Aizawa, what if he was the one doing those things with you? Would he be happy? You shake those thoughts off as you and Yuki entered a restaurant for lunch after his weekly check up.
As you were paying, you heard someone call out for you "Yo Y/n!" you turned your head as you handed the money to the cashier, waiting for the change. You waved at hizashi as you saw nemuri next to him and a familiar gold hair in front of her. You let go of yuki's hand when he saw hizashi, to let him wonder towards them. You took the change from the cashier and walked towards them seeing Yuki now sat on hizashi's lap as nemuri was pinching his cheek. You smiled and patted Yuki on the head "Little guy misses you, you know" you said now noticing the guy that was sat next to toshi. You took a deep breath as you spoke to toshi "how are you? You're not working yourself up are you?" you teased as you ignored Aizawa, who was sat next to him. "No no, I'm not don't worry" toshi said waving his hand up and shaking his head. Aizawa was looking at you but you didn't minded as you turned to nemuri "Are you busy tomorrow? I need someone to take care of Yuki for the day, I'm applying for a job tomorrow" you said. Nemuri pouted at you "I thought the four of us agreed that you won't work anymore?" she said as she crossed her arms at her chest "Yeah! Didn't we already?" hizashi agreed as he was playing with Yuki, you sighed. "I still want to help you three out you know? I can't be a bother" you said taking a chair from another table and placing it in front of the end of their table sitting on it. "You never bothered up y/n-kun" toshi said looking at you. "still!" you pouted taking Yuki from hizashi as you sat him in front of you on the table. Yuki turned to his right, now facing aizawa. You didn't minded him that much but when Yuki turned to him and leaned towards him with one hand supporting him and the other reaching out, all of you on the table stilled awaiting for aizawa's reaction.
-3rd pov
Aizawa stared at Yuki as he reached out for his hair. The small hands now reaching the front of his hair and softly tugged onto it smiling at him and blabbering away. Y/n took yuki's hand as it held on aizawa's hair "No Yuki, bad" she scolded softly as she puts his hand down and handed him to hizashi to keep yuki away from him a little. The table was silent after that. Aizawa was now looking at y/n "Is he.. Mine?" he asked almost a whisper, y/n's head was turned away from him when he asked. She quickly stood up taking Yuki from hizashi "You're still going to take care of Yuki tomorrow, muri."she said as she walked away.
××××××××××××××
The next day came and Y/n was clad in a white dress shirt and black pants, she was fixing her cufflinks when she heard a knock on the door, she walked towards it while slowly trying not to trip in one of yuki's toys that was scattered on the living room he was sat in. She reached the door and opened it only to see Nemuri with Aizawa.
Confused, she pointed at him as she looked at Nemuri "What is he doing here? I thought I only asked for you."she said as she pointed at nemuri at the last part. Nemuri sighed and held two fingers on her nose bridge as she closed her eyes. "Well, after you left yesterday he bombarded us with questions and I can't just keep a secret you know!" she explained.
Aizawa cleared his throat and you snapped you look at him "I just wanted to know if he's mine, and I wanted to meet him as well." He butts in. Kea sighed as she ran a hand through her hair. "he's yours okay? And why do you want to meet him? Don't you have a child on your own already? The child you left me for?" She spat while pointing a finger at him. Aizawa tenses at her words and looks down shamefully, "She lost the baby, more than once" he explained not meeting your gaze. Y/n scoffed, "Oh how ironic isn't it? Your girlfriend always loses your child and you go off running with other women so that you could have a child? Don't shit me Aizawa, yesterday was just an accidental meeting. I would never let you meet my child after what you did to me. You could've been there watching him grow up, but you weren't were you?" You took a breath and continued.
"I had to be alone because of your selfishness of wanting a child. You thought I wasn't as hurt as you when I always miscarried? For fuck sakes it wasn't your body that's been a fucking casket for our lost babies! How fucking selfish are you?" You whispered the last part finishing your argument.
While you were arguing, Nemuri took the chance to slip into your house towards Yuki, leaving the both of you alone.
Aizawa stared at you in shame, not knowing what to say. "We were married for 4 years Shota. Were you that desperate?" you said. He sighed looking down, "I'm sorry, I should've had stayed with you and trusted that we could do it together. But I didn't. I let my selfishness overcome me, I'm really sorry y/n, I never meant to hurt you." He said as he reached for your hand. You swatted his away from yours, "But you did. And nothing will make me change my mind against you." she said as she closed the door on his face.
Dadzawa Headcanon for Student Athlete!
Dadzawa Headcanon For Student Athlete!
Okay, so imagine you're a student at UA who also does sports after school, be that ice skating, soccer, baseball, swimming, etc.
As soon as you were dismissed from class, you'd book it over to practice, all of your gear stored in your backpack. You'd work hard and return back to the dorms between 7:00 and 8:00, your classmates asking where you'd gone.
You often used the excuse that you visited your parents, or went to hang out with some other friends. It was ironic since you had no friends outside of UA, and your parents lived overseas for their jobs.
Mr. Aizawa notices one day that you're looking more worn out than usual. It just so happened to be the morning right after a very late competition, not that you'd ever tell him that. When he asks, you just tell him you'll get more sleep that night and arrive refreshed for class tomorrow, which thankfully, you do.
He shrugs it off at first, but when he notices this happening every week or so, he's suspicious, especially when you're always tired on the same day of the week.
One day, Mr. Aizawa decides to investigate. After he dismisses the class, he waits a few minutes before following you in his car.
At first, he's confused to see you running in the opposite direction of the dorms, still in your school uniform. Before he can scold you, he sees you arrive at your coach's specified practice location.
Mr. Aizawa parks his car and waits for a little until practice starts. He remains a fair distance away and watches you with awe, though it wasn't shown on his face. He began to wonder why you'd kept this talent such a secret.
After practice ends and you leave, Mr. Aizawa approaches the coach and asks for the competition schedule. It's safe to say you were surprised to see your entire high school class cheering you on at the next event.
From that point forward, Mr. Aizawa makes sure he's always there to pick you up from practice. He also makes sure there's at least four of your classmates at every competition, if not, more.
"heeey eraser!!" present mic squeals, rushing into the classroom. aizawa looks back at the yellow haired male, obviously fed up with all his bullshit. "whatcha doin?-" eraser mic asks, dragging a chair next to aizawa, not noticing the students were taking a test.
"grading papers"aizawa replies, not paying any attention to the yellow haired individual who was interrupting his class.. present mic looks across the room, admiring all the students and just taking on the sight of the future generation of heroes. "shouldn't you be-" aizawa begins, soon cut off by present mics loud and obnoxious voice "Ooo, this class looks promising shouta, whose ya favorite?"
aizawa rolls his eyes, "don't have any. I don't like picking favorites." he says firmly. present mic is slightly baffled at his response, "really? if I could pick a favorite, I think id pick that red haired kid- actually no wait maybe the green haired one but-" present mic continues to babble on and on to aizawa. who was very obviously tuning him out.
HIIIIIIII!!! I Was Wondering If You Could Do Aizawa X Student!reader?? Ik You Don't Normally Write Anything
as the bell rings, you watch all the other kids leave the classroom. all giggling and chattering about their plans for the weekend. they all seemed so busy in their conversations, so busy that they didn't notice you were staying back, which was perfect.
as soon as the last person exits the room you walk over towards aizawa. a sly smirk creeping up on your lips. "you said you needed to talk to me?" aizawa places the stack of papers he was grading down, on the table, he leans back in his chair. eyes fixed on you and your figure. "you failed another test, y/n." he says coldly, "and I hope you remember our little deal, hm?" he asks, tapping on his desk, signaling you to come sit.
"how could I forget..." you mumble sitting down on the table, watching as the black haired man approaches you. he was emotionless and rough looking. but you knew deep down he was just as excited for this as you were.
he stands in front of you, in between your legs, and he lifts your chin up with his hands. he stares down into your eyes, "bet you failed on purpose too... didn't you? fucking slut" he mumbles before crashing his lips on yours, you feed back into the kiss, the intensity and passion increasing. aizawa's hands sneakily begin to grope your tits through the fabric of your uniform, caressing them with his rough hands. making you let out breathy moans.
aizawa continues to sloppily kiss you as he begins to unbutton your top, your moans only making his cock harder. you could feel his bulge against your thighs. aizawa pulls away from the kiss, looking down at you with hazy eyes, he places your uniform top on his chair, leaving you in your bra.
he gives your breasts a tight squeeze, admiring the way they bounced. you let out a sharp cry from the sensation. "so pretty f'me aren't you sweetheart?" he coos, hands reaching to your bra's clasp, quickly unclasping it. he throws your bra across the room and leans you back slowly, making sure not to hurt you.
as you lay back down you can feel aizawa playing with your nipples, his finger grazing the surface. he watched as you would squirm more and more whenever he went harsher. aizawa then places one of them in his mouth, tongue swirling all over your nipple. you gasp at the sensation and place a hand in his hair. you can feel the wet patch in your panties grow as he continues to play with you.
his hand reaches towards your other nipple, making sure to give it attention too. he squeezes it lightly as he sucks on your other tit. you let out soft moans as you feel the sensations overtake you. "thought you didn't like pickin favorites?" you mutter, voice shaky and hoarse. aizawa responds by squeezing your nipple harshly, a muffled mumble leaving his lips which sounded like a "shut up..."
soon enough aizawa also gets your skirt off, leaving you in your panties. he lifts both of you legs onto his shoulders, pressing his bulge against the wet patch on your panties. you let out a mewl at the feeling of his clothed cock pushed up on you. "see what ya do to me pretty girl? fuck- I could do this all day..." he groans, grinding against the wetness seeping through your panties.
aizawa hastily unbuckles his belt, and slides his pants and boxers off. freeing his long dick. a soft sigh leaves your lips at the sight. you had fucked aizawa a couple times before but still, his long shaft always surprised him and made you crave him even more. "look at m'pretty girl, so mesmerized by my cock, it's okay sweetheart you'll get it soon..." he pushes your panties to the side, aligning himself with your hole.
"c'mon sweetheart y'know what you gotta do now..." he hums, tucking hair behind your ears. "aizawa... pleaseee" you whine, hands reaching for his hips. aizawa slaps your clit, making you jolt back "y'know damn well that isn't good enough, beg for it like the dirty bitch you are." he demands sharply.
"p-please daddy, need your cock so badly..." you mewl, you didn't care how stupid you sounded, you had one thing on your mind right now. and you needed him badly. aizawa smirks slyly and whispers "anything for my girl..." and he pushes his cock in. you both let out content moans and groans as you feel each other.
he lets you adjust to his size before ramming himself in and out of you, your slick coating his cock fully. "so fuckin wet f'me, baby..." he groans, hands gripping on your hips. his pace was so quick and rough, just the way you liked it. his hips bucked into you without any mercy.
"you're so slutty for this, fuckin ya teacher just to raise your grades? dirtyass slut." he mocks, pushing your thighs closer to your chest, his shaft abusing your cunt even deeper now. you let out sobs and cries from all the pressure, the feeling of his leaky tip constantly hitting your cervix. you were in pure bliss.
aizawa admires the sweet noises, both your mouth and cunt makes. he could feel the way your walls would tighten around him with each thrust he gave, signaling you were close. he looks back up at your face, you looked so dazy and lost. babbling about how good you felt, so cock drunk you couldn't even speak correctly. aizawa chuckles at the state you were beneath him. "we just started pretty girl, don't tell me yer already too fucked out-" he teased.
his calloused fingers start trailing down to your clit, rubbing soft circles on it, as aizawa begins to feel his own orgasm creeping up on him. the pressure on your clit makes you yelp out with pleasure, the familiar knot in your stomach tightening at a hasty pace.
your walls sucked in his cock snuggly, aizawa knew you were on the brink of your orgasm. "c'mon baby, tell me who fucks you the best..." he grunts, his voice hoarse and raspy. his words simply didn't register in your brain, all you could focus on was the release that was building up in you. aizawa slaps your clit again, his voice harsh and demanding "answer m'fuckin question slut. who fuck you the best?"
you jolt up at his words, "y-you do daddy!! you do!!" you mewl, a sob leaving your lips as you cry out from the harsh orgasm you just endured. aizawa felt your liquid wash all over his shaft, which was enough to bring him to the brink of an orgasm. he pulls out of you quickly. and begins jerking himself off quickly, hot strings of semen decorating your stomach. you both let out heavy pants of satisfaction. "made such a big mess pretty girl, let's clean up okay?" he affirms, helping you back up.
"pfft- c'mon be serious princess, you wouldn't last two seconds riding me-"
"mm-fuck don't stop..." he groans, hands impatiently grabbing the fat of your ass, guiding your pace as you slide your walls up and down on his cock. you slap his hands away, "nah- I'm doing things my way..." you scold, staring down your boyfriend's hazy and foggy eye. too lost in all the pleasure
"are ya close for me sweetheart?" you coo, hands resting on his chest as you continue to slam yourself up and down. your boyfriend nods, a loud and erotic whimper leaving his lips as he nears his orgasm. "mm.. thought I would last two seconds and yet look at you, coming undone for me so quickly" you mock, the smug grin creeping on your lips as your boyfriend looks away embarrassingly.
your boyfriend usually would've put you in your place right this moment, not letting an ounce of disrespect leave your words, but right now was different. he was seeing all stars in the universe at this moment, overwhelming pleasure filling him up. he groans loudly, smooth and vulnerable cries of "f-fuck-" "so good f'me..." "so-so close!" leaving his lips. he stared up at you like you were some goddess, some being who could control his every move.
"s-shut up" he quickly groans, his moans soon follow suit as he resches his orgasm, hips bucking right into your pussy. strings of white sticky cum painting your cunt. you both let out satisfied moans, as you two pant heavily, regaining your much needed energy.
"pfft- C'mon Be Serious Princess, You Wouldn't Last Two Seconds Riding Me-"
