My sister just impulsively purchased a mouse from Petco... She showed me this little mouse and I just kept repeating "you're so fucking stupid" while she repeated "It was seven dollars" and "don't tell mom" WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO?!?!! WHY DOES SHE KEEP DOING THIS?!?!!? She just looked at the little mouse and said "What am I supposed to do with you" GIRL WHAT

So I just had a conversation with my sister and all I can imagine is
Vox: why is your music so jazzy?
Alastor: Maybe I'm just superior hmm? You ever think of that?
Being a big sibling is TERRIFYING
constant intrusive thoughts of "are they okay? so they know they're not alone? have I hurt them? "
you never know if you're really doing things right. are they okay, or are they just hiding all of the same thoughts and hurts that you do? and you know they are
OK so maybe its just me being a dumb bitch but I confused clingfilm and chloroform. It has lead to some very strange situations:
Me to my brother: hey Jeremy, can you past me the chloroform?
My brother: *stares at me* chloroform?
Me: yeah to put the food in the fridge. *smiles*
My brother: *starts sweating getting ready to call 911* um laura i think I'll take over here....
Me: nah man I'm almost done. Just need the chlo- *he holds my hands on the counter* -what the fuck are you doing.
My brother: I'll take it from here.
I did do that. I didn't think they'd believe me, and I certainly didn't think they'd continue believing me after they wound up consuming more Transformers media.
I had forgotten about it by the time it came up again. It was literal years apart, I'm more shocked that they remembered in the first place.
I almost regret admitting that Rhinobee was fake lol
when I was younger my brother saw a red Camaro with black stripes and said "that looks like RhinoBee" and obviously I asked "who is that" and he explained to me in depth that Rhinobee was a Decepticon; specifically the evil double-crossing twin of autobot Bumblebee. because he was a superfan of all Transformers works I took this as gospel and did not question it.
years later I saw a red Camaro with black stripes and said "look, it's Rhinobee" and he stared at me bewildered so I said "you know, Bumblebees evil Decepticon twin." and he was genuinely shocked (and found it hilarious) that for years I had just shelved the knowledge of this Transformers character he completely fabricated for no reason
Update for anyone curious: We never found Cars. We did rewatch Planes though!
Also, I saw the Finding Nemo case. That thing was obliterated. I want to know how and when that even happened.
And! To add on to our DVD closet, a small handful of movies in there have cases that are not in English. I personally don't know where those came from.
anybody else's family just have way too many DVDs in a closet? and like you're looking for one specific one and no, empty, no, wrong disc, no- did somebody punch the case for Finding Nemo?- no, oh hey there's an extra disc in here, nope- an unopened Microsoft Office Student and Teacher Edition 2003?- no, oh hey I remember liking this one, nope...
I love the duality of my sibling and I cooking for our family and when we're the only ones in the house. We have our specialty dishes that we enjoy making and eating. However, those are plentiful in servings and often time consuming. We have and will make them of we so crave on our own, but they are more likely made when everyone's together.
I'll eat anything and my sibling, not so much. So I sometimes make substitutions on our own. Chicken scampi is a favorite of both of ours now. We're also making mini fries and rice right now. So. Y'know.
Family meals got all the food groups. Just us is chaotic and whatever we feel like. We might make buffalo wings tonight

was skimming the boxlunch website with my older brother and we found a tow mater shirt he thought I would wear and a lightning mcqueen shirt I thought he would wear so I drew em. kinda silly but i don't usually draw myself (or him) so this was fun. also yes he is that short relative to me. he knows it's true though so he won't come after me
