I had a snow ball fight with 12 pink cotton largos, while today. I made this so I will never forget such a moment. It was so hard to leave with going 🥺😭 and coming back to collect more snowballs and throwing just one or two to make the fun last a little longer…

Crimson morning
Day 8- snowball fights for HP de-stress December fest @hpdestress
The weight on the bed suddenly felt heavier, like somebody extra had decided to come lay over it but sooner the spring's of the bed started screeching and Draco had to pull his head from under the blanket because of the noise.
" Daddy, Daddy, Daddy- wake up" Draco's son of 5 years whined, no demanded sharply jumping up and down over the bed and even hitting Draco with a pillow to get him out of the bed.
" Scorp- please" Draco groaned
"But daddy- it's snowing outside" he squealed and kept jumping on the bed. He was soon joined by their dog getting on the bed and licking Draco's face. There goes his sleep.
He admittedly groaned and got up, pushing the covers away and taking scorpius in his arms "aren't you one a maniac ?" He teased pinching his chubby cheeks lightly.
" Can we go out now?" Scorpius pouted. Draco wanted to refuse since it'd be very cold outside specially since it was around Christmas and cold winds had picked up but his son had absolutely mastered his way of getting things done by a simple expression of plucked out bottom lip and sparkling eyes. That face was very very hard to say no to. And as Draco expected he lost and found himself outside within the next 15 minutes and 5 more minutes later he was already going crazy with acting like wiper blades in the snow.
" Dragged you out of bed, didn't he ?" Draco heard while he was trying to cover Scorpius's ear with his warm beanie.
" well that's life with kids" Draco shrugged getting up from the ground.
" I'd know it too- he's currently trying to shake the snow off the tree" Harry, his front door neighbour smiled at him. It'd be lie if Draco said he didn't like his smile, it was a heart wrenching smile.
Draco looked over Harry's shoulder and as said his son James was desperately trying to shake the tree.
" Well- my son is currently trying to be wiper blade so I'll know all about it too" Draco chuckled.
They talked of a few more things, discussing their single parenthood more so of Draco than Harry ( shared custody in divorce) and about the muggle education system they had to provide until they could send their sons off to Hogwarts. They remained in their boring Dad conversation until Harry was face planted with snow and Draco broke out laughing until he too was hit by the snowball.
" not funny anymore is it ?" Harry teased rubbing his red nose. Draco rolled his eyes, obviously.
Harry and Draco were hit a few more times until they had enough and they started throwing back snowball's at their son. It was Father's against sons and a complete disaster at that with shouts and laughter echoing in the alley until during the small absolutely brain wracking snowball fight Harry accidentally hit Draco. It amused Harry to see his neighbours reaction and he did it again.
" I thought it was us against them " Draco gasped.
" well sometimes rules change with games, Draco Malfoy" Harry smirked.
Draco squinted his eyes then picked up a ball of snow, cupping it in his hand " you are so dead Harry Potter"
" Scared ?" Draco added
Harry smiled then winked " you wish" and picked up a ball of snow and threw it at the same time as Draco and hitting both of them equally hard.
Their little session of snowball fight escalated quickly with much more efficient teams and Fathers using their sons to throw a perfect shot and it became all the more serious while fun at the very same time. Harry even used James as his shield, pathetic move, he still got hit. Harry was almost about to throw another ball when suddenly a ball hit him hard right over the crotch and he fell down groaning.
Draco immediately ran towards him leaving their sons to their enjoyment to check on Harry and He leaned down to him " you alright ?"
" really ? Crotch? That was supposed to be off the boundary" Harry groaned
" well I wasn't looking where it hit- it was mistake- accident" Draco corrected and gave Harry a hand to get up who instead of taking support to get up Just held his hand.
" you don't look there ?" Harry quite visibly teased but with the cold weather and bright day Draco was unable to hide his crimson blush even though he blamed it on the winters.
" I- I normally don't" Draco stammered, his cheeks still burning red.
" normally don't!? Does that mean that you do sometimes-"
But Draco cut off his teasing and decided to get up but it wasn't upto him and just as he tried to, Harry pulled him down towards making him fall over his hand by Harry's head and almost face plant against his face.
" I was just pulling your leg" Harry smiled, his face inches away from Draco.
" Nothing new about that" Draco rolled his eyes and tried to get away again but instead this time Harry pulled him further closer, wrapping his arm around his waist keeping him from getting up.
" Harry- we shouldn't-"
" we haven't even started yet " Harry replied.
" And that's why we shouldn't " Draco replied.
" Come on-"
" Your divorce haven't even been finalised yet" Draco cut him off.
" you and I both know that it's not the actual reason " Harry raised his eyebrows at him.
Draco sighed, shaking his head " Too much would change- Scorpius and James-"
" They are having fun- it will fine Draco. Those days of us just doing it for fun are long gone. I am serious this time and I want to be" Harry told him, truthfully.
Draco looked at him from mere few Inches apart and he knew Harry wasn't lying, he would know he was but it's been ages since they've been together and he was so afraid of the change.
" But-"
" You could have everything you've ever wanted since you were 19" Harry offered.
Draco groaned, this bastard always knew what to say and when to say.
" it's too hard- to difficult- there's a lot of things involved-"
" It would be just fine " Harry cut him off.
" how can you promise that this time we won't break apart ?" Draco asked seriously considering Harry's offer after a few moments of silence.
" Because this time I have nothing more left to break " Harry replied smiling then intertwining his fingers with those of Draco's.
" it'll be very real this time and I promise I would do anything to make this work" He added.
He looked at him for a few more seconds, getting lost in those emerald eyes he had often slept dreaming about. He could have everything he ever wanted since he was 19. He dropped his head over his chest, nodding, not believing himself at the same time.
" I must be stupid" Draco mumbled.
Harry chuckled, forcing Draco to look at him then kissing his cheeks " that you are "
Draco rolled his eyes.

“ Coming through people- out of my way” Ginny yelled as she walked down the stairs with boxes in her hands. The crowded hallway of people made space for her as she continued making honking noise to get the attention and knocking along the way few ornaments kept over the side tables.
She walked through the sliding door and soon kept the boxes on the floor and cracking her back up as she arched “ You- two idiots- move your asses and help with the boxes” She yelled at a sitting gossiping couple over the coffee table.
Harry reluctantly got up, Draco getting up after him and followed Harry as they walked through with Harry complaining about this being typical Ginny around christmas, trying to get everyone involved into the whole decoration process.
They both went up the stairs of the cabin they had managed to get around the heavily packed Christmas booking to spend a Christmas with just friends and be away from the everyone else as much as possible and somehow everyone else was looking for the same, hence the packed cabin with Harry, Draco, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Pansy, Blaise and Luna, Neville wanted to join but unfortunately his banabarawuet sapling that just bloomed up in his Garden after 5 years needed his care. It was understandable.
" She's always so bossy " Harry mumbled.
" at least someone is " Draco mumbled from behind him as he followed him up the stairs.
" What do you mean ?" Harry gasped
" Well you all just had plans to swamp around like apes so it makes sense that at least someone is taking charge " Draco explained.
Harry walked through the door and turned a little to his side to see Draco " We were not lying around like apes- you and I were having a much important conversation-"
" about consistency of pancakes batter-"
" which is very important for someone who likes pancakes" Harry added.
Draco shook his head smiling and pointed the box for Harry to pick up and so he did.
" I am sure you'd love a conversation about the Immanuel Kant's hypothesis over the origin of the universe " Harry rolled his eyes
" well he did actually give out a good hypotheses which later was named into nebula hypotheses claiming that the Universe-"
But he was cut off by Harry's fake snoring sounds against the door.
" you're not worth it anyways- I'll talk about it with Malek from work about it- he actually went to study muggle geography and- he's a good guy- not to mention he's hot" And he finally got Harry's drooling attention
" hot ? Perhaps you would want add annoying to the sentence ?" Harry suggested
" No" he hummed frowning " he's actually really really interesting- he even got me a cup of coffee the other day " Draco replied with a plastered smile.
Harry raised a challenging eyebrow at him and kept the box back down he picked up and reduced the distance between him and Draco.
" I'm sure he was great but he can't make you hot like I do-" Harry pushed Draco lightly against the closet with his hands going under Draco's jumper.
" Harry- the door is open" Draco stammered.
" don't care- welcome to watch the show" Harry whispered closing the distance between him and Draco so his own leg adjusted between Draco's and his eyes met Draco's own steely grey eyes and lips bare Inches away from being touched.
" they'll find out about us" Draco hoarsely said then cleared his voice trying to get his voice back.
" they'll find out eventually- tell me about this guy though- hot you say, hotter than me ?" Harry asked in a dangerously low tone, his hands not dropping from Draco's stomach, holding him in place.
If Draco had to be honest, this had never happened in the four month's relationship that they've been, by this he meant Harry being even remotely jealous of someone he didn't even know, it Infact didn't even make sense for Harry to even be jealous at all but given the moment Draco threw all his sanity out of the window as he felt Harry's fingers doing a circle while the door was far too open for anyone to walk in and find out about them.
Draco raised his arms to push Harry away to create some distance and finally catch his held on breath but figuring out his intentions, Harry already pinned then to his sides.
" What are you two doing up there ?" They heard the voice coming up the stairs and Draco's heart beat rose frantically while Harry's smirk only quirked up more in a challenging and his fun seeking dangerous playgames way. Draco tried to wrestle free before Ginny would've come upstairs and find them in a position but Harry's hold was entirely too strong and as a good measure, to make it more enthralling Harry kissed over Draco's exposed neck, kissing it fevrently to sucking lightly for him to fight back a moan.
And just time Harry stepped away and picked up the box winking at Draco all at the same time.
" what's taking you so long ?" Ginny conferred.
" Nothing important thing- just discussing some work issue " Harry shrugged.
That bastard.
Draco caught his breath along the way and hiding through his jumper where Harry might've possibly left a mark and picked the box himself and took it downstairs.
Hours later when the teams had been divided into two with Harry and Draco being incharge of decorating the Christmas tree Harry risked his chance to brush his hands away with Draco behind the tree and even walking by too closely to him leaving Draco if anything but entirely greedy and desperate for touch, any touch.
Done with the tree, they were proud of themselves and decided to reward themselves with a glass of apple juice and piece of cake when Harry risked it all again and sqeezed Draco's ass behind the counter so no one would see but it made him jump up, squealing with his mouth shut and he decided he had enough and dragged Harry to his room he was staying in when no one was looking and pushed him against the door.
" What is wrong with you ?" Draco asked not trying to sound excited at all.
" Nothing- just you" Harry tried to reach for Draco again but he stopped him, raising an eyebrow for explanation and Harry gave up " it's hard- not being with you while we're here. Trying to hide my relationship with you from everyone. I don't want to and it's making me crazy not being able to hold your hand and I know it sounds shitty or very desperate of me but I've never felt what I'm feeling for you and I want everyone to know but I'm not ready yet- I just- I just wish it were easier but holding your hand is the only thing that makes sense " he sighed.
Draco looked at him in awe, pulling him closer and then hugged him " I know it's hard but it'll only be a few more days or weeks. We can come out to them as soon as you want you. I feel the same way about you Harry and I'm damned I do but I wouldn't have it any other way-"
" Open up this damn door or I'll knock it down"
Draco's head dropped down in exhaustion then yelled back " Privacy Ron- can I get any "
There was a pause before the knocking stopped " No " and the footsteps faded away.
Harry looked at Draco then smiled " You got rid of him "
Draco Chuckled shaking his head " Well if it's only way I'm getting to spend time with you I'm not gonna to let anyone ruin it for me "
Draco kissed his lips softly beholding in some moment where they weren't disturbed by other's the time of happiest season. Maybe it'll be some cliche Christmas story to tell one day, one trip, too many friends and a secret relationship.
